When we started with this venue we worked with Amanda she was amazing very communicative and always willing to answer questions. But Amanda left and we were never informed, a woman named Emmaline had taken over the position. She was AWFUL. No communication, my husband and I both got very concerned that our wedding would be ruined because of this inexperienced person running the show, luckily she disappeared no clue what happened. But a wonderful lady named Rebecca took over and she was great help now we only had to deal with her for about a month and a half since the wedding was already so close but she was very helpful and always answered any questions. The only problem we had with her was some very big "typo's" in the pricing packet we had been given but she was very understanding and we figured it all out. The day of the wedding came and it was raining and cold so we decided to do the ceremony inside and the staff quickly went above and beyond to set up a space inside that we would use for the ceremony. The reception hall was set up beautifully we used there centerpieces that they offer as well as adding a few of our own touches but it was PERFECT. The banquet staff was amazing, the bartender came up to our head table to take our orders and always made sure our drinks were full. This was also the best wedding food I've ever had, we asked them to save us a plate of macaroni and cheese because it was so good and there was a plate waiting for us in our room when we went up at the end of the night! Overall the reception and ceremony were phenomenal. And if Rebecca stays this place will be even more amazing!
Just had our daughter's wedding there this last weekend. They wanted to be married on the outside patio--and the staff at Beardmore Event Center made it happen. The scenery from the patio made an absolutely breath taking back drop. How they got 250 chairs out there and still made it feel very intimate, I have no idea. The staff went above and beyond in making sure the ball room was exactly like my daughter wanted. I was blown away by the service provided by Rebecca and Jeanette and of course the bar tenders! We have received so many compliments on the food and the venue from our guests. This place was truly amazing and we are so happy we chose the Beardmore Event Center!
I was a little concerned when I booked this venue. I heard a lot of bad reviews and issues after we already booked. They switched coordinators a few weeks before our wedding, but it all worked out. Everyone was willing to go above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect. They staff was amazing. Rebecca was on site all day and was AMAZING. The ballroom was beautiful and the food was great. We couldn’t of been more happy with our decision. I had no bad experiences the day of our event.
I met with Sam in Nov 2016 on three occasions before I decided to book my wedding & reception at the Beardmore Event Center. Flash forward to my food tasting (about 2 months before the wedding) this summer I discovered Sam was no longer my coordinator & I had a new woman named Emmiline. Right from the start Emmiline was hard to get a hold of via email or phone calls. She couldn’t answer any questions I had & had no knowledge of any of the things I had discussed with Sam. When we received the bill about two weeks out & there was an additional $3k on our invoice! I tried that week to reach out to her & management with no resolution so I sent an email on 9/29 to Marriott’s customer care center about the issues. I received a response from their center on 10/28(two weeks after the wedding). My husband had to go down to the venue in person prior to the wedding to demand a meeting in which he received $1k taken off the bill. So, an extra $2k was our responsibility to come up with.
Week Before- we discover setup for the wedding couldn’t take place until 10am the day of the wedding (6pm that evening). Up until that point we were told we could setup during the day of Oct 12th (the day before). I lost confidence that the staff would be prepared to setup so I gathered family & friends to discuss a backup plan and it was a good thing I did! I also discovered many other things promised were not being upheld.
Thursday Oct 12th- we were scheduled to have our rehearsal at 6:30pm. Emmiline was supposed to be there to direct the rehearsal & despite emails as well as my husband confirming with her, she was not there. The front desk stated she went home for the day. They called her personal cell, but she never showed up. During this time, I talked with the venue’s staff to discover that despite sending 3 emails detailing the vendors we had coming there were not spots for them on the floor plan.
Friday October 13th (ceremony at 6pm & Reception at 6:30ish): We arrive at 10am for hair/makeup at the hotel. My personal “setup” crew went about setting up in the ballroom. They ensured everything was in place. As mentioned before the staff was easily directed by my “setup crew” & ensured requests were done right away. Emmiline was not seen by anyone until around 6:45pm, well after the ceremony. In our meeting prior she stated she would be with the bridal party from before the ceremony on to the start of the first dance to help us stay on course. This did not happen. When she was seen she couldn’t answer any questions at all. She mostly looked lost & clueless as to what to do. She hid behind staff members & it wasn’t long after being discovered that she disappeared again & was never seen again, which was before everyone even finished eating.
After the Wedding- We tried to address these issues with the management of the hotel & my mother finally got a chance to meet in person with the General Manager on Oct 24th (11 days after the wedding). She spoke with him for 45 minutes and at the end he stated he would issue a refund, but didn’t have a number to give us at the time. During this meeting he also stated that Emmiline is not a “Wedding Planner” however I would like to point out that her email signature states she is a “Certified Wedding Planner” and the promotional documents we received prior to booking also stated their staff is “certified” to plan weddings. Today is Oct 29th & he still hasn’t reached back out to us & has not returned phone calls.
Food was amazing! Banquet staff was friendly and great and reception hall ended up looking good.... But!!! there was a lot of communication issues and a lot of excuses for the issues. They definitely did not make me feel important. So just make sure things are clear and you have them in writing... even though it’s still not always good enough. AND DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL!
I would not recommend using this facility as long as the management is the same. After I paid my $500 deposit in June, I never heard from Amanda G. again. She said she would call me in July and I never heard from her. In August two week before my important family event I tried calling her twice to confirm my reservations and ask questions about my event. She never returned my calls. I then asked the hotel manager Lindsey O to call me. She never did either. I had to check my email. Finally found an email from someone that I didn't know was asking me to set up a time to further plan my event. Amanda told me she would be coordinating my event and would call me. She never told me that someone else would be sending me an email. Very unprofessional. This was a very important family event and I couldn't even get one manager to return my call. I was so upset. I didn't even know if they still had my reservation and I needed to find another place within a week and a half before my event. They don't care about you once they have your money. On the other hand, Dakota, at the front desk was very caring and understanding. Every time I called he was very apologetic and I know he was giving Amanda and Lindsey my messages. He should be the manager!

I highly recommend Beadmore Event Center. I started out working with Amanda and she was awesome. Now I'm working with Sam and she has gone above and beyond any expectations I had! Highly recommend this venue! Sam is awesome
So far, our experience has been wonderful! Amanda is amazing to work with, she has been so helpful to us with our wedding planning. She has taken us to see the venue being built - this is wonderful to me getting to see the stages of the build and allowing us to be involved throughout the whole process. She helped us create a plan that worked for our budget and made the whole process very personal to our needs. I would reccomend this venue and Amanda's service to everyone!
We really enjoyed working with Brighter Lights Media. We have seen the wedding video trailer so far, and absolutely love it! Not only were they very easy to work with, but they were very relaxed on the wedding day, which was so nice to see when everyone else was all stressed out.
