n skills. ————————— The Details: During our wedding process, we had asked Britta multiple times about Covid requirements. Every time we asked, she never gave us clear, upfront answers. This made us very anxious because we wanted to be sensitive to the situation. One month before our wedding date (at the END of our final walkthrough), Britta told us that our guest list of 140 people needed to be fully vaccinated. Normally this would have been fine, however, we had 4 weeks to get everyone fully vaccinated. I’m sure everyone knows at this point, but fully vaccinated means two weeks AFTER your second dose. And you need to have at least 21 days between your first and second dose. So if you do the math, that is not enough time for everyone to be fully vaccinated. We pleaded for negative Covid tests instead, to which we were told “the owners don’t want to deal with it.” This obviously created a huge issue. We had no idea who in our guest list was partially, fully, or unvaccinated because this was the first time we had heard anything about Covid requirements. We also had vendors who were unvaccinated, so we had to cancel them as they wouldn’t have been allowed in the building. Two weeks after telling us this information, Britta informed me that they had made a mistake and that unvaccinated WOULD be allowed in the building with a negative Covid test. We couldn’t get our vendors back on such short notice. At this point, I was so frustrated with the way Britta handled things, I just wanted my money back and to forget the whole thing. She informed me that “Crafted will just keep your money.” Crafted has been very insensitive and unhelpful in this situation. It’s been a month and they still haven’t responded, or resolved this issue with me. They ruined what is supposed to be the best time of someone’s life. Do yourself a favor and SKIP THIS WEDDING VENUE.

Initially, we loved Crafted because of their large space that could accommodate so many guests and the fact that they only had one required vendor (Del Rey party rentals..which was its own shit show), which gave us flexibility to choose our own vendors and stay within budget. There were a multitude of little things that seemed off about Crafted, but ultimately, Jane, our contact, while friendly and welcoming, was terrible at replying to emails, promised us a rehearsal slot that she then gave away to a different couple only a few months before our wedding, gave us outdated info/pricing about their bar services, promised meetings with other potential vendors that never happened, and generally gave us no direction in regards to the venue. Thanks to some truly wonderful vendors, our wedding worked out ok in the end, but this was a good example of a venue that promised a lot, then half-assed in their execution. If you choose Crafted, beware of the extra work you will need to do to make it happen due to their less than satisfactory communication skills and lack of follow-through.

Everyone is really friendly, helpful, and very laid back. They can assist you with the decorations and lighting colors they have on hand as well as recommend vendors that they have worked with in the past. You will need to have a licensed bartender for this venue though. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for a venue where you can design the layout yourself. Keep in mind you will need to hire people for tables and chairs as the venue does not have any available!
