Hello I am Lisa Antonecchia, Creative Ceremonies by Lisa! I am a wedding officiant since 2013, and my service is based in Hamden, CT. I am both a Connecticut Justice of the Peace and ordained minister, and I absolutely delight in creating unique, special ceremonies for her clients.
I truly believe that the ceremony is the most important part of the wedding day, so it should be a memorable experience that reflects who you are as a couple, embracing all that is unique and special. Having worked as a professional singer, dancer, actor, and director, I know how to create an impressive performance. I can even offer vocals for your wedding, teaming up with experienced musicians to provide beautiful ceremony music.
I will work with you to ensure your ceremony fits your style, whether that's traditional, contemporary, or unusual. I also provide a helpful guide to filing for your marriage license and the process with your town hall, along with post-ceremony information. My process can include assisting with vows, music selection, the processional, and the recessional, and I can also provide a number of meaningful elements to enhance your ceremony. These include hand-fasting, a unity glass, personal vow books with calligraphy, and more.

Lisa was such a pleasure to work with. She is so positive, so bright, and was such a lovely person to work with in the (stressful) weeks leading up to our wedding. She gave a wonderful ceremony and she ran a very effective rehearsal, ensuring that everyone in the wedding party knew their roles and timing to a T. My only regret is that I wish I would have booked her as our full day of wedding coordinator! I actually forgot to ask the hair stylist to put my veil in and we didn't realize it until we were about to process - Lisa saved the day, some how conjured up some bobby pins, and secured the veil, more or less saving the day. Go Lisa !
We worked with Lisa as our wedding coordinator (also wonderful and highly recommended) as well as our officiant. She made coming up with our ceremony super easy and personalized, working with us to make it exactly the way we hoped. So many guests came up to us afterward to gush about how beautiful the ceremony was!
Lisa is super nice, organized and quick to respond to messages, and she was wonderful to work with throughout the whole process.

Lisa was absolutely amazing! We used her to officiate our wedding and could not have been happier. She actually came highly recommended by our DJ and after our very first meeting with her, we knew she was the one we wanted to be a part of our day. The entire planning process with her made the whole thing less stressful. Me and my husband can not say enough good things about her.

Lisa was not only our incredible wedding planner, but our officiant too! She was our rock during COVID, helping us to navigate the tough waters we encountered. We were so incredibly grateful to have Lisa in our corner and if you are fortunate enough to work with her too, you will agree! She not only helped us to plan, postpone and replan our wedding celebration, she officiated our micro-wedding as well. She made designing our wedding ceremony effortless and FUN! She asked all the right questions to get to know us as a couple and helped to write a ceremony script that was personal, witty and emotional. Lisa's theatrical background was evident while performed our ceremony while keeping the focus on my wife and I. She understands the seriousness of a wedding ceremony, the intense emotions involved and also how to weave in lighthearted comedy to keep the energy high. Lisa is the whole package and you would be silly not to hire her!

Lisa was one of my favorite vendors from our whole wedding! People vastly underestimate the importance of the person marrying you. This person is front and center with you and running how everything appears to your crowd, so it’s important to get someone who knows what they’re doing. Lisa helped us to create a ceremony that was the length we wanted with the details that were important to us. She was super helpful during our rehearsal, showed up early both days, and even stayed a bit later when we were taking photos after the ceremony. She’s super sweet, attentive, and genuinely just wants you to have the best wedding ever. She was understanding and even helpful with my complicated family dynamic and just an overall delight. One of my favorite photos is when I was laughing with her when I flubbed my ring vow. Don’t look anywhere else for a JP - Lisa’s got your back.
Lisa is the kindest, most fun, and incredibly hardworking and talented person I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Her vision and ambition make her level of detail unmatched in the industry and her character both professionally and personally is pure gold. Lisa is forever a part of our family and thanks to her unwavering dedication to bringing to life the type of wedding you couldn’t imagine in your wildest dreams, my husband and I can look back on our special day with so much joy and fond memories. She shouldered so much so that we could have the most incredible day and we are forever grateful - How much this meant to us is immeasurable and we couldn’t have done nearly close to what we had on our wedding day without her.
Lisa is wonderful! She created a beautiful ceremony fit for us. We really enjoyed working with her. Her energy is amazing and she is a lot of fun but still very professional. She provided us guidance throughout the process and was extremely helpful. We are so grateful that she was such an important part of the best day of our lives!
Lisa is the best! She helped officiate the ceremony for us in 2016 and also helped us plan the wedding for 2017 and she rocks. There was no stress for my bride and everything came out amazing. Even with one of my PITA groomsmen, she reeled him in and everything came out great.
