I would gladly work with her again and highly recommend her and her team for any event. If I were to plan another wedding, there’s no place I’d choose other than the Crowne Plaza with Lia.

ough the entire planning process. We had planned our wedding over a year ago and she answered any questions we had promptly with no problems at all. The food was excellent. We had chicken piccata, beef, truffle mashed potato's, rigatoni, green beans and started off with a house salad. Everything went perfect. We had plenty of time to plate cookies, make sure everything was ready and we had a separate room next to the ballroom to store all of our stuff prior to our wedding. We held our ceremony at the venue and we also had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner catered by them. We chose south of the boarder and it was excellent. Everyone was so nice. Also, a bridal suite was included the night of your wedding. I chose to stay in there the night before with some of the girls so we woke up there the next day. They also included a hospitality room right next to the suite for the bridal Party to get ready. It was absolutely perfect. Our hair and makeup artist came right there and we had plenty of space to get ready. I seriously highly recommend the Crowne Plaza for your special day. You won’t regret it!

e location was centralized to all of our guests and the accommodations and rooms were great. Sharon was our coordinator, and I can't say more great things about her. She was knowledgeable, helpful, supportive, and answered all of our questions effortlessly and really helped our vision come to life. She was there the morning of, and throughout the entire evening to make sure everything was going as they should. She made the process feel so easy and smooth and really was amazing to work with. The food was amazing and all of our guests complimented on how awesome the buffet, cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres and alcohol selection were. (lol). If you're looking for a hotel venue, I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South.

x of us attended a food tasting for the wedding. All six of us agreed the Sirloin steak was better than the Filet Mignon. Both were very tender, but we did not like the seasoning on the filet, so we went with the Sirloin. (at the time we verified with the chef that the sirloin was sirloin and vice versa) On Oct 8, 2022, the entree was served at least one hour after the salad was served! The steak, which was cooked to medium, a little pink inside, was so TOUGH that you could not cut it with the steak knife provided. The potatoes included, truffled mashed potatoes, were also nothing like we tasted. They were a gob of thick, sticky potatoes. The chicken romano was good, but the redskin potatoes and green beans consisted of only 3 small pieces each on a plate. I voiced my EMBARRASSMENT that night and again after the wedding. My compensation were several verbal apologies and some extra points added to my IHG Rewards. Although the room was fine, I would definitely think twice about using the Crowne Plaza for a wedding. The food is big part of a wedding. This was a complete misrepresentation.

The vendors they use for the cake and flowers are also very easy to work with, and it was so nice have that cost counted in with the hotel. We are still getting compliments on the food and how nice the reception venue was. I highly recommend using them!

ns the day before and the staff performed all of the set up. The ballroom was set up beautifully! We opted for uplighting and a monogram which elevated the space as well. We received numerous compliments on the drinks, appetizers, and dinner! The only note I have is that we opted for soup instead of salad since my husband prefers it, and it was room temperature rather than warm (but still tasty!). The venue staff was able to move the bars from the cocktail area into the ballroom for the reception which kept the party going all night long! The cake (Bethel Bakery) and table centerpieces (Donati's) were included in the package and were wonderful. The girls and guys both had getting ready suites in the hotel which made for awesome photos and a relaxing morning. I would not hesitate to book this venue! My husband and I wish we could relive the day!

Anything asked was looked into in a prompt manner. It was very clear to us when working with Holly how much she genuinely cared about making the details count. Our guests couldn’t say enough good things about how classy this venue was, how well everyone was attended to, and how delicious the food was. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

She is organized, easy-going, and flexible to work around anyone's crazy schedule. When it came down to details, Kelly broke things down so the decisions seemed simple and came easy. Our package came with a variety of things included which made planning that much easier. All of the girls had a big hospitality room to get ready the morning of, which gave the hair stylist and makeup artist plenty of room in addition to room for the girls to relax. The staff sets everything up and takes everything back down. We have gotten numerous compliments on the venue, food, and service! We could not have asked for a better venue!

h me to discuss details when i became very anxious with my planning. She is SO calm she is every brides saving grace! Kelli made sure that our wedding reception included all of the details we wanted and the night was better than what we had expected! The Crowne Plaza is the hidden gem for weddings in the South Hills! The prices also FLOORED us! For what you get per person- it’s a huge deal! Saved us thousands of dollars! The Crowne Plaza is the venue to book for any occasion!

d was also excellent! Kelli and Shauna are very nice to work with. I think this venue is also reasonably priced. We only ran into a few minor problems, which were resolved. To avoid any issues, here are some tips: 1) If you are making hospitality bags, make one large bag for each room. We made one for each guest and some guests didn’t get them because the staff accidently gave 1 bag per room. We made 50 bags and had about 20 left. 2) Do not count on the bar in the hotel lobby to be open for your after-party. If they deem your wedding guests to be too rowdy, they will close the entire bar for everyone. Have a back up plan for another after-party location. 3) You may want to avoid making shots for the “dollar/shot” dance. You cannot do straight shots, so me made about 120 jello shots. More than half of them got lost in the kitchen that night so we didn’t have enough for everyone. We had about 80 that were found the next day. 4) Lastly, keep track of charges. Some people were incorrectly charged for rooms (including myself); however, when brought to their attention, they fixed the charges. With that all being said, I do definitely recommend this venue because as mentioned before, the wedding ceremony and wedding reception were amazing!

It’s a one stop shop kinda place! The florist , cake designer and so much more that they work with were out of this world amazing as well.

We didn’t have to worry about a single thing the entire night! Michelle and John were there during dinner and until the very end and always asked us if we needed anything and took care of all of our guests. The bartenders and servers were all so nice and helpful. We got our cake and dessert bar from Signature Desserts and centerpieces from Donati’s. Both the cake and centerpieces are included in your package and are totally worth it! One less thing to check off your list! We were treated like royalty the entire weekend! We also had a brunch at the hotel the following morning for our guests and everyone loved the food and had a wonderful time! If you are looking for a location in the South Hills make sure you stop and check out the Crowne Plaza, you won’t regret it! d looking at venues, we weren't sure about The Crowne Plaza because it was the hotel by the mall near our house and didn't seem too special. When we went to visit, they were setting up for another wedding and we saw how beautiful it was, and our opinion definitely changed. In addition to that, Kelli seemed like she would be a dream to work with, and she definitely lived up to that. She is so genuine and kind, and I so appreciated that every conversation with her was like talking to an old friend. Even when we were months away and she had brides whose weddings were much closer than ours, she always made us feel like our wedding was the most important thing she was working on. Our wedding day was literally flawless, and it was all thanks to Kelli and her team. I can be pretty meticulous about details, but Kelli exceeded every expectation I had. From answering all of my questions and emails, to taking the boxes full of decorations and wedding items we left there the day before the wedding and turning them into the beautiful wedding that it was. I honestly cannot say enough about her and her team. The bartenders and servers were also amazing. They were so attentive to all of our guests. As for the actual hotel, you can't beat the package. We looked at almost identical packages as other hotels, but they were much more expensive. We used all of the vendors included (Donati Florist and Signature Desserts) and they were also amazing and the coordination between them all was such a relief to not have to worry about. The food was delicious! We did not hear one complaint from any of our guests. People absolutely raved about the butler passed hors d'oeuvres. As cliche as it sounds, our wedding was the best day of our lives and our guests can't stop talking about how much fun they had, and it is all thanks to Kelli. Cocktail hour and the ballroom were absolutely beautiful and we would not change a single thing if we had to do it again. She is truly a wedding miracle worker. We HIGHLY recommend The Crowne Plaza to anyone looking for a place to have their wedding. We are so grateful to everyone there for making our day so perfect!

is venue. We got married on St. Patrick's Day and she made our day everything we'd hoped for, right down to the green champagne! Kelli was attentive and responsive during the planning process, and clearly had the experience needed to guide us in the right direction, while also being flexible and open to our suggestions. Our 150 guests fit comfortably in the ballroom, even with the large dance floor. An added plus was having the cocktail area open and available during the reception, immediately adjacent to the ballroom, so guests could have the space to sit and chat while taking a break from dancing.

She was always available and responded to every crazy call and email from me quickly and with so much kindness. Kelli is truly one of a kind. She helped us so much. We chose the Crowne Plaza over the other hotels because we could just sense that magic from Kelli when she was talking to us about our potential wedding. She went out of her way whenever she needed to and even when she didn't need to, to make every detail we hoped and dreamed for happen. She did it with kindness. This place wasn't the type of place where you ask for one thing and they tell you that will be an extra charge, that will be an extra charge, etc. She helped us plan extra details within reason to help us stay in our budget. So many of the details were taken care of to make it a low stress planning experience for us. We got married under a beautiful arbor structure and I know she bought that off of us. So anyone looking to have an outside ceremony, I believe they still have the tools to make your wedding just as beautiful. They provided a wonderful room for us to stay in the night of our wedding and I was able to rent it out the night before for after our rehearsal. Our rehearsal was awesome and we were able to stay out late drinking on the patio with our out of town guests and wedding party. They were very accommodating to us, our wedding party, and our guests. Once our wedding was over, us and our guests that were still up for partying some more were able to all go drink in their hotel bar super late. I had the best night of my life and it was so much fun. I owe my beautiful and fun wedding to Crowne Plaza, my vendors, and especially to Kelli. My only regret is how long it took me to come on here and review Kelli and the Crowne Plaza. I only wish I had thanked her sooner for how much she did for us.

We left from meeting with her and he literally said book it because Kelli seems to know her stuff and nothing will go wrong. He was absolutely right!!!! Everything was included cake, buffet, bar, centerpieces, uplighting, chair covers, and lien which Kelli will inform you when you need to meet with them which makes it so much easier on you. I remember right before the wedding I was informed Kelli would be on vacation and was heartbroken but I got to meet with Shauna who was literally just as awesome as Kelli. I remember when we arrived to the Crowne plaza they only let my husband and I in to see the ballroom to make sure it was everything we want. Literally was completely breath taken on how amazing it looked set up and matched my colors perfect. We have got nothing about complements from all of our guests how amazing the food was, the bar tenders were amazing to how wonderful everything was set up and decorated. It makes me feel so good to hear from everyone how my wedding was the first wedding in the longest time people have been to was the best wedding they have seen. Also, Daniel and John literally checked on us all night to make sure the night was running correctly. They kept asking if we needed anything throughout the whole night. Made sure we always had whatever we needed. Last but not least they let us party in the lobby with our own coolers they even help get us ice to keep everything cold. We kept the lobby going until 5am. lol This is worth every penny we spent!!! You will not be disappointed if you pick this venue and you will have a night to remember. Amazing people to work with. I wish I could do it all over again because it was perfect!!!

The package with the Crowne includes the catering, your cake from Signature Desserts, centerpieces from Donati's florist, all your linens, an open bar, cocktail hour before teh reception, set up and tear down, and you can book a room block for your guests at a discounted rate. You bring them what you want set up, and they make it happen. Kelli, the wedding coordinator, has a infectious personality and makes you always feel as if you are her #1 priority through all steps. Shauna also works with Kelli and you can contact either of them and they are always willing to help. The banquet staff is outstanding, my guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the service they received. Barry, the bartender, received high commentary from all of my guests, and LaJunta, Lynne, and Deb were our serving staff for the evening and all of them were just wonderful. My day was absolute perfection...I had ceremony and reception there and it couldn't have gone smoother. I was never stressed or overwhelmed throughout the entire planning process as I knew I was in good hands. The Crowne goes above and beyond for your wedding....you cannot do better than this hotel!!
