Crowne Plaza Lansing West

My husband and I were 100% happy with hosting our wedding at the Crowne Plaza. We met with Bill about a year prior to our wedding date, and we were in communication with him regularly throughout the planning process. He was always willing to do whatever it took to make our day perfect! We chose the Crowne Plaza because of the convenience - we held our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception there. The food is amazing, the staff is fantastic, and the rooms were great. The level of customer service was definitely above par. At the reception, my husband was desperately looking for chapstick. Bill said they didn't have any at the hotel, but he sent one of the staff members to the local convenience store to purchase some. That's just one example of why you're in good hands at the Crowne Plaza. I would definitely recommend the Crowne Plaza for your wedding venue!

I will not be having our reception here even though it was my first choice. I called and left messages twice and emailed three times over a two week period. I never received a response from them. I am really disappointed. We went with the Radisson. The coordinator responded within the the hour every time

I cannot say enough great things about this venue or Kendra and the rest of the staff. As a gay couple, my husband Mike and I appreciated how Kendra helped us feel comfortable and welcome (for example, "bridal suite" became "suite" whenever possible). Kendra was also very responsive and easy to work with through the months leading up to the wedding and helped us find ideas within our budget that suited what we wanted for our wedding day- there were definitely opportunities to go bigger but little pressure to upsell. Kendra was adamant that we should have the wedding we wanted. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the hotel and everything was beautiful. The ceremony space was gorgeous, with breathtaking lighting that made the occasion feel as important as it was. Kendra and the staff took care of all the set up and worked seamlessly to coordinate with our vendors so that by the time we walked down the aisle we were overjoyed to see our vision had come to life . All of the food throughout the day was delicious and it was impressive that they could make such wonderful food for so many people all at once. Kendra and the staff at Crowne Plaza Lansing West are incredible to work with and we would recommend them to anyone! Thank you for everything, Kendra and team!

Kendra was amazing to work with. Food was amazing, staff was great. Had many compliments. Breakfast the next day was also very good. We had a great time.

We used Crowne Plaza's banquet rooms for the girls and guys to get ready in the day of and it was perfect. Service was excellent! We also held a brunch there the following day and the food was delicious. Excellent experience working with Crowne Plaza.

Kendra and the rest of the Staff at Crowne Plaza did such an amazing job. Our wedding was a couple weeks ago now and we are still getting compliments on the food and the venue. They made us feel so comfortable throughout the process and were more than willing to help if anything came up. Highly highly recommended.

Where do we even begin? From the start our expectations were exceeded by the team at the Crowne Plaza. We initially met with Dino to tour the space and go over our options and from that moment we knew that we had to get married here. Dino is an expert at what he does and always has your best interests at heart. We wanted to customize quite a few things and that was never an issue for them. At our tasting we were introduced to Kendra, who is absolutely amazing! She transitioned into our main point of contact and helped us with finalizing all of the details. Dino and Kendra always got back to us right away regarding our questions and made sure we were comfortable with the planning process. When it came to the day-of, everything went as planned and even better! The whole Crowne Plaza team from the front desk to the servers are so welcoming and pleasant to work with! We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. All of our guests raved about this hotel, the service, the food and the wedding as a whole. If you're looking for the best place in Lansing to host your wedding reception, look no further!

I am not sure there are enough words to describe how incredible Dino, Kendra and the Crowne Plaza Lansing West were for our wedding. My mom and I stopped in on a whim to check out Crowne one afternoon and Dino was able to host us on the spot showing us around the hotel and ballrooms along with providing us many details of the wedding packages. There was such a great calming factor about Dino and he made us feel at ease. After Dino answered our many many questions throughout the next few weeks, we chose to go with Crowne Plaza Lansing West for our reception with one of the main reasons being Dino. Being an out-of-state bride, I was a little nervous planning a wedding from a far, but knowing I had Dino to help plan with made me feel at ease about everything. He was so patient taking various tours with myself, my then fiancé and family when we were in town visiting and answering all our questions along the way. You can tell he is incredibly dedicated to his job and role and is A+ player in my eyes for how he went above and beyond for us and our guests. Throughout the planning process, Dino always promptly answered our questions and provided great direction. Even in the midst of losing his support staff, he handled everything perfectly. Kendra then came on-board and she is full of great raw talent. She met with us prior to the reception and effectively ran us through all the details of our wedding reception, confirmed she had contacted all of our vendors and assured us everything was all set for our big day. There was always a sense that everything was under control with Dino and Kendra and I cannot say how much of a relief that was to have throughout the entire wedding planning process and day of reception. I had full faith that these two would execute the day flawlessly and they absolutely did! IHG should feel incredibly lucky to have Dino and Kendra as their lead team members, they are out of this world! The reception ballrooms were gorgeous and the food was delicious. Unfortunately during the evening, I lost my wedding bracelet (a gift my parents) during the reception and the staff went above and beyond to look for the bracelet around the hotel and parking lot. They found the bracelet out in the parking lot by using flashlights and I will be forever grateful for the dedication and going above and beyond for us to find this sentimental accessory. The Crowne Plaza Lansing West was a wonderful decision for our wedding. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue and their services to anyone looking for a classy and tasteful wedding reception. A huge thank you to Dino, Kendra, and the Crowne staff for making our wedding vision come to life and executing one heck of a celebration for us!

It has been less than 48 hours since my wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza but I felt compelled to leave a review while the night was fresh in my mind. The event could not have gone better. I am so thankful we ended up here, and our friends and family were blown away by the caliber of service provided by the Crowne team. We were put in a tough situation when our initial location filed for bankruptcy. Fortunately we got in contact with the Crowne and they were able to accommodate us. I cannot speak highly enough of how fantastic Dino and his team were to us, every step of the way. The planning process was smooth, enjoyable, and felt very efficient. Kendra was a great help in planning the details and taking care of any concerns or questions we had. They worked well with all of our vendors and had the room looking amazing for our entrance. I may be biased, but I thought our food was the best wedding meal I've ever had. From the appetizers at the cocktail hour right to the late night pizza and french fry bar, the kitchen staff did not disappoint. I don't think you can select a bad item on their menu. The wait staff was extremely attentive and in great spirits throughout the night, and took care of our every need. I simply cannot stress enough how the people at this hotel really make this place special. There are plenty of beautiful venues in the area, but none of them seemed to have the same attentiveness, attention to detail, or ability to make our wedding feel as special as Dino and his staff did. If you are looking for a wedding venue in mid-Michigan, this is the place to do it. Thank you Dino and Kendra for an awesome day.

I had my ceremony and reception at the Crowne on January 28, 2017 and everything about that day and the experience was fantastic! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating and they are willing to do whatever they need to ensure that you have your dream day! For a detail focused bride like me, that meant a lot. I knew with Dino, Bill, and Kendra, I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of my wedding. Everything was taken care of before I could ask and I had a stress free day I will never forget. They helped coordinate my other vendors, handled set up and take down, and not to mention the hotel's food was to die for! Our guests were raving :) I feel like I was VERY demanding because I wanted everything to be 'just right' and I know things could have quickly gone wrong had I chose a different team or vendor. But Dino, Kendra, and Bill made my wedding day so incredible. If you are considering booking this location, stop considering and book now! They really are top notch in service and caliber and you will not be disappointed!

Dino and the entire Crowne Plaza staff were amazing! They had an electronic fire outside the hotel the Monday before my wedding - not only did they call my parents and me everyday with updates, they had rescheduled a backup event at another hotel in case they did not clean the hotel fast enough! Service was above and beyond and their all inclusive services made planning my wedding much easier! Highly recommend!!!!

My husband and I could not have held our reception at a more beautiful venue! Dino and Melissa were wonderful to work with! With the consistent emails and phone calls, I can truly say that Dino and Melissa turned into our friends! We had our wedding reception at Crowne Plaza on 9/10/16. We could not have been happier with the outcome of our year of planning. Our day was stress free, with zero problems and that is because of the staff at Crowne Plaza. From the front desk to the wedding coordinators everyone was excellent and made our day a great success. We worked mostly with Dino, who was amazing to work with. He always responded quickly to our e-mails and answered any questions we had. When it came to the day of he was in contact with us to make sure everything we wanted was taken care of. We have no complaints about our reception. All of our guests enjoyed their stay, and we loved how everything turned out. We recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a place to celebrate their marriage. You will not be disappointed with the Crowne Plaza's venue or their amazing staff.

I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Lansing West!! We held my daughter's large (280+) wedding reception there in August, 2016 and it was beautiful! The staff is superior and the food was delicious. We worked with both Melissa and Dino and they are exceptional wedding coordinators that perfectly planned my daughter's dream wedding. We also had a lot of out of town guests who stayed at the hotel so that is another bonus for this venue. Many of our guests have complimented us on how beautiful everything was.

First, the inside of the hotel is beautiful! All of the guest rooms were renovated last year and they have a very chic and modern look to them. There are also many perks to being a guest including access to a 24 hour pool and a milk/cookies cart that comes by the rooms in the evening! There is a new restaurant/bar, Bordeaux, in the hotel where we had our rehearsal dinner. I would describe the atmosphere of Bordeaux as sophisticated-- we were very pleased with the service and the quality of both the drinks and meals. Second, the Royale Atrium is a large elegant space where our cocktail hour was held. There was enough room for our guests to sit and mingle without feeling cramped. The hors d'oeuvres that we chose included a seasonal fruit tray, cheese and crackers, seasoned meatballs, and mini chicken cordon bleus. Although we did not attend the cocktail hour, we were told by guests that the hors d'oeuvres were delicious! The reception was held in three of the Crowne Plaza ballrooms, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful space. The ballrooms were recently renovated and they are gorgeous-- as soon as we saw the chandeliers during our tour, we were in love with the space! The servers were extremely courteous throughout the entire night and the plated dinners came out in a very timely fashion. Our meal selections included filet mignon, salmon, chicken, goat cheese ravioli, or childrens. The food was phenomenal in our opinion and well worth the cost of a plate. In addition, we had a late night pizza station which was a HUGE hit! Third, Tara Draper was beyond amazing throughout the entire planning process. We can't say enough nice things about her- she responded to every one of our questions in a timely fashion and she truly went above and beyond. She was there on the morning of our wedding, setting up placecards, putting out the table numbers and favors, etc., which was a huge weight off of my shoulders. We couldn't have asked for a better coordinator!

Wedding coordinator was very good and put me at ease. I was disappointed that the building was under construction during the wedding, which I had been assured it would not, but that shouldn't be a problem for future weddings there.

We planned a fairly short engagment to accoidate the date that was avaiable for the MSU Chapel, and Tara was able to make sure everything was in order for us, and that we were comfortable leaving everything in her hands. The food was great and they were open to a few of my guests hanging out in the room after the wedding. Also, the hotel was awesome!

When my fiance and I signed our contract over a year before the wedding, the hotel had only one wedding package and it was AWESOME, with a lot of unique features and at a great price. Unfortunately, they changed their wedding services, so they have 3 packages and offer the same things as everyone else at the same or higher prices. It wouldn't have been a huge deal except no one from the hotel contacted us. We heard from a friend who received their new pricing. We were able to negotiate and received a package comparable to what we were supposed to get and our wedding day experience was awesome! The hotel is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service was great. My guests loved the bartenders (they weren't supposed to have tip jars, but several of my guests asked for them). Tara, the wedding coordinator, is very nice, spent a lot of time answering my questions, moving tables around, and talking us through how everything. Overall it was a great experience, but with the new packages and pricing, we would probably not do it again.

The Lexington provided me with a ceremony site, reception site, waitstaff, food and beverages, decor, accommodations, and more. Tara was my coordinator. She was thorough and made sure she answered all of my questions in a timely manner. She never made me feel like anything I asked was inconvenient, difficult to achieve, or an odd request. She was available when I needed her and stayed throughout the wedding and reception. I couldn't be happier with her service! On top of Tara's excellence, the rest of the Lexington staff also treated everyone great! The Royale Lobby worked out perfectly for our ceremony and the ballrooms were a beautiful place for the reception. It was convenient for out of town guests since they could stay onsite. In addition, guests reported being very happy with the food. I highly recommend The Lexington!

We used this hotel for our wedding reception and it was a blast, they were very helpful. The service was inpecable and the reception went off without a hitch. They unlike other venues we visited were willing to work with us to address some items that were important to us. I loved it!!!! I highly recommend them.
