Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West

The events team at the Crowne Plaza was a dream to work with. From the planning phase to the service on the night of our reception, everything felt easy. We loved the Scandinavian ballroom and the Viking lounge attached to it. Our reception felt upscale, but at a very reasonable price. Our guests were impressed with the hotel rooms and enjoyed the health club and other amenities at the hotel. My husband and I had a lovely suite the night of the wedding, and look forward to our complimentary room on our first anniversary. The variety of indoor and outdoor spaces made for amazing photos! We were thrilled with the whole experience. I highly recommend the Crowns Plaza!

My daughter’s wedding was absolutely perfect. Leni was awesome to work with and was able to make anything the bride and groom wanted happen. Having everything from the rehearsal/dinner Friday to the gift opening on Sunday morning in one place was the way to go! We heard nothing but wonderful things from our guests about the hotel, food, and staff. Based on the interactions I had with the staff, they were kind, polite, and accommodating. I would recommend Crowne Plaza without hesitation!

We could not have been happier to have our wedding reception at the Crowne plaza! We chose the Scandinavian Ball Room! It was secluded so no other guests would walk by. We also paid to have the fire pit as well and a lot of our guests that are from up north loved being out by the fire. All of our guests commented how amazing the food was and the staff that was helping us was wonderful to work with. They helped make everything go by smoothly as well. I will definitely recommend this place to any other couples that are looking into a hotel to host their reception, definitely was one of the more easier choices we had to make during the whole wedding planning! I worked right by the hotel for years and I knew that I wanted to have it there. Most of our guests commented how big the hotel was also!

Our wedding reception at Crowne Plaza was perfect! We had a lot of out-of-town guests, and booking rooms was easy with the link they gave me for our wedding site. The Viking Lounge was great, and our guests were able to be outside from that area too. The Scandinavian Ballroom was beautiful, and my personal attendants were able to get into the room early for some additional decorating. The reception staff did a great job and our guests raved about the food. Crowne Plaza was great to work with, totally recommend this place for a wedding reception!

Very unorganized throughout the whole planning process. Originally booked with them in 2019 due to their wedding coordinator having so many raving reviews; however, after canceling our 2020 reception, by 2021 the coordinator was gone, and the catering director was terrible with communicating to us and her staff. Found out 6 weeks before the reception that we could not go into the space to set things up until 1.5 hours before people were supposed to come due to them scheduling a corporate meeting in our venue space. In 2019, we were told we could get it the whole day and maybe even the night before. Day of staff were amazing. Catering director did not give them our layout of where tables should go, so my mom had to direct the staff of the layout and the color of napkins for dinner. But the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious! Kudos to the chef! But, the catering director did not let us know of the pairings of foods (meat, starches, veggies) and was going to charge $150 per plate. She also had us taste test the wrong meals as she did not communicate the change in our request (with plenty of notice) to the chef. Presidential Suite was disgusting. Confetti from a previous guest was everywhere in the suite and multiple grapes were found laying on the ground. Many complaints from our guests that hotel staff/front desk staff were very rude. Majority of our hotel guests did not receive our hotel welcome bags we made for them. Overall, just poorly managed. Had a great indoor/outdoor venue with great staff the day of, BUT the hotel was gross, rude front desk staff, and there was A LOT of stress with the planning due to disorganization from the catering director who has taken over the wedding coordinator position.

Leni was attentive and responsive and assisted with every question we had. The catering staff for the rehersal and reception were friendly and everything was exactly like we imagined. Penny in particular was a delight to work with.

During this crazy time it was a challenge to find a venue for our rehearsal dinner for 30-50 people. Angela & Connor were so patient & flexible with the planning process for the 3 months leading up to our event. The food, drinks, decorations & setup were all great. We have had other opportunities to attend events both large & small at Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West over the years,,,they have always been great to work with. The accommodations & food are very good.

The Crowne Plaza in Plymouth is a wonderful place to get married. They have so many different options and are very helpful when you are trying to make decisions. I had a million questions for our Rep. Ali and she was beyond amazing in responding to those and making me feel comfortable! I Highly recommend using Crowne Plaza for any major events!

Ali and team made sure the entire wedding planning process went incredibly smooth! Every detail was accounted for, and I was able to enjoy a stress-free planning process. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and despite not being able to have an outdoor ceremony (due to weather), we were able to move the ceremony indoors last minute. Our guests had nothing but rave reviews about the venue as well as the quality of service by the wait staff. I would highly recommend a wedding at the Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West!

Ali helped us with the whole process, from initial meeting to payment methods and setting the whole space us. We were able to drop everything off the night before and they did an amazing job getting our decorations set up. They serve very helpful with everything. Definitely recommend.

We only used this hotel as a place for our guests to stay for our wedding, which was located ~10 minutes away. This hotel is so unique, large and has numerous gathering places for groups of visitors! And the pricing for room blocks was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. They also allow pets without a problem! I never considered them for a venue (I had already picked one out), but I imagine they deliver high quality with that too!! Jeanette B was my contact for my room block, and she was always on top of things. She'd send me updated lists of who reserved rooms under my block anytime I asked. Pat A (concierge captain) helped coordinate the shuttle for my out of town guests to/from a nearby restaurant the night before the wedding(free service) and we also reserved the shuttle for getting guests to/from the wedding venue on the day of. He was so friendly, upbeat, welcoming and responsive. Kellen, our driver both nights, was also phenomenal. Our guests loved this hotel and so did we!! Lots of good memories made here :)

Couldn’t have been happier with the choice to have our reception at the crowne. Ali was great to work with(was nice to have you back!!). If you have any doubt booking with them, trust me and all these other reviews you won’t regret it.

Planning our wedding ceremony/reception was very easy with the help of Ali. She was very responsive to all of my questions and made sure everything was done in time so nothing was forgotten. The hotel was gorgeous and the food was amazing. Very impressed with everything!

Working with Ali made planning our wedding reception SO easy. She worked with us every step of the way, answering all of our questions and kept everything very organized. The best part of all was that we didn't have to lift a finger in the set up or take down of our reception venue, the Crowne Plaza staff did it all for us. Everyone there made our day our day so great and I couldn't have asked for more.

I was extremely nervous about planning a large event since I had never done so but Ali put my mind at ease ! She helped us find amazing decorators, created floor plans, and helped us every step of the way. 9/1/18 will forever be my favorite day and I couldn’t have spent it anywhere better !

From the day we toured, we were impressed with the Crowne Plaza in Plymouth, and they lived up to it through the very end! This venue knows better than anyone how to handle large groups, from being experts at set up and changing furniture layouts to accommodate, to being able to cook and serve delicious meals to large groups without sacrificing quality. The catering staff was amazing to work with, and always willing to answer questions. They guided us through the process, made sure our needs were being met, and stepped up to help whenever they could with odd requests. I feel like I didn't have to do anything on the day of, it was all taken care of by this excellent group. Not to mention they know most of the local vendors - I didn't have to coordinate much on my own, they took care of it! I couldn't be happier with how everything went.

We had an amazing experience working with Ali and her team at the Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West! Ali was very responsive in answering all of our questions and accommodated our needs during the planning process. On the day of our wedding, Ali personally set up the homemade items I made for place cards and a memorial table. She checked in with us during dinner to make sure everything was going as planned. The food was fantastic! Our guests gave us many complements on the meal choices. Overall the entire evening ran smoothly and our family and friends had a great time. I would highly recommend the Crowne Plaza for any wedding or other event.

From the initial consultation with Ali I felt at ease with how thorough she was. Her and the entire Crowne Plaza team are a joy to work with and ensured our special day was everything we envisioned and more. The hotel is so unique and beautiful there are surprises around every corner. We were so impressed with the food, service and features the venue offered and can’t imagine celebrating our beginning anywhere else!

Our wedding was 2 June 2018 and couldn’t have picked a better place. Ali was amazing. She responded quickly and her attention to detail was phenomenal. Staff was friendly and easy to work with. The Regency Ball room was hands down the option. It has the elegance feel and the chandeliers are so gorgeous. The food was absolutely delicious. Our guests kept complementing and we decided to do buffet style.

The Crowne Plaza was so beautiful & perfect for our wedding! The Regency ballroom felt so glamorous and the staff was amazing through the whole weekend! We had family stay 3 nights and loved everything about the space! Ali was so great to work with, she really took care of everything for us. She was responsive & was a great contact with our vendors, as well!

Groom here - we had our wedding on November 11th and there were 2 other weddings also going on the same night and you would never have noticed by the staff. They were very friendly and accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We were in the regency room with 250 guests, did ceremony, reception, and after party and the food was incredible and the hotel looked very classy. We had a lot of guests in from New York and the east coast and they were very impressed with the hotel lobby, rooms, and bar so we know we did well! Ali and the entire staff did a remarkable job and made sure we didn't worry about a thing all weekend. Would recommend to all!

08/19/17 bride here and I couldnt imagine celebrating my big day anywhere else! The staff was great to work they were every accommodating. Ali the wedding coordinator makes sure your day runs super smooth. We did ceremony, reception, and after party there and it went off with out a hitch. The food was amazing everyone is still raving about how tasty it was! All in all a great place for you and your future forever spouse to celebrate your special day.

The Crowne Plaza was an amazing venue for our wedding. The hotel rooms were clean and wonderful. The food was super hot and delicious. We got the Minnesota chicken and the portabella steak. Both were amazing. I got so many compliments on the food and the space and how wonderful the staff was to my guests!! The staff really cares and it shows!! They were so professional and helpful!! But most of all it was Liz the catering manager that was by far the best person I worked with. She was a superstar. Just amazing. She was so helpful, kind and considerate that it made planning our wedding such a treat! She really made sure my day was stress free and it was!! I honestly couldn't have asked for a better women to work with or a better venue. It was, just so wonderful. We had our reception in the Scandinavian room and it was so beautiful! The cocktail hour we got until 3 am and the whole wedding party and our parents all made it to 3! It was amazing! We were having such a fun time that no one wanted the night to end! Overall I would say the Crowne Plaza was one of the best choices I could have made for our by wedding day. It was perfect.

Wonderful venue, expert and professional staff and I could not have asked for a better wedding planning and event experience. Liz Larson was a pleasure to work with (and Leni and John) and made the process much simpler than I anticipated it would be. The hotel is beautiful and perfect for housing events and all the people that come with them. We could not have had a better experience. And the unique architecture makes for some fun photo opps!

Princess experience! From day one, to the weeding, the staff at Crowne went out of their way to make our day perfect!! We worked with Liz and I cannot tell you how many emails I sent her about various questions that would come up and she responded right away. She made the entire process so easy and stress free the day of! (Which you will appreciate!) Liz and the friendly staff paid attention to detail and made you feel like a princess (I guess I should king and queen!) Even after our reception was over, they snuck into our room and left us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! It was such a pleasant surprise and perfect ending to our dream wedding! We were In the regency room, the big ballroom, and if you're looking for that WOW factor... This is it!! And the food was outstanding!!! Everyone there was so accommodating and helpful... The service was unbeatable and our guests gushed about how beautiful everything was and how amazing the staff was. If you're looking to have Your dream wedding... Crowne will exceed your expectations!! I only wish I could relive every moment again!

We had our reception in the Scandinavian Ballroom. During the planning process we worked with Kim. There were a lot of things to figure out which was a little overwhelming but all good things. When we had no clue what we wanted Kim was always able to make suggestions as to work usually works well. Once the wedding day came, everything went flawlessly and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They set-up all the decorations, the favors, the gift table and everything! So, all I had to do was enjoy the reception. We even got to have a bonfire during the reception.

We were lost trying to find a venue that fit all of our needs. We were so lucky to find a hotel that we could have the ceremony and reception at. We loved the idea of our guests not having to drive, and everything could be all in one place. The service staff was so amazing! Everyone was friendly and so helpful. Kim (our coordinator) was so on top of everything and without her, our day would not have gone as smoothly as it did. It rained that day, so we had to move our ceremony inside, but they had a perfect back-up plan and everything was seamless. The hotel is beautiful and they even set up all of my centerpieces/decorations for me! I would definitely recommend them to any bride!

My whole wedding planning and reception experience was perfect! The caterers are so accommodating and know exactly what will make your day special! The food, service, venue and price were all more than we could ask for on our big day!

Wow... that pretty much sums it up. Be prepared to be treated like Kings and Queens on your wedding day. THe service leading up to the day was beyond exceptional as well. The staff truly want you to have the wedding of your dreams and will pretty much do anything to help you achieve that. The venue itself is very beautiful and you have 3 rooms to choose from to hold your reception. We choose the Scandinavian Ball Room to host our wedding reception for 215 people. This room appealed to us because it was secluded from the rest of the hotel, offered direct access to the outdoors for those that needed to cool off, another separate area for people to sit and rest and hold conversations in a more private area and the reception room itself provided enough room for people to move about and I heard countless compliments from people about how easy it was to be able to hear conversations even though our DJ was playing music at a decent volume. The food was amazing as well. I just can't say enough nice things about this venue.

AMAZING! The food tasted exactly how it did at the food tasting - we had the best reviews from guests about how much they loved the food and the reception. We had a great time! We were in the Europa and Copenhagen rooms. It was a perfect evening!

Amazing wedding venue, not only beautiful, but so conveniant and stress free. They make it easy for you, dropped our stuff off on Thursday and on the day of the wedding everything was set up anad looked perfect!! The coordinator was so easy to work with!! We got tons of compliments from our guest about how great the food was and you definately get a lot for your money!! I would reccomend it to anyone!!

Words can't express how amazing the Crowne Plaza was to work with! Our reception was absolutely perfect. The food came out hot and exactly how it was when we tasted them at our tasting. Everyone we've talked to raves about the food (appetizers, dinner and late night snacks), the staff, the hotel rooms and the reception room. Amy and Connie (coordinators) were amazing to work with and they had every little last detail figured out. I would highly recommend the Crowne Plaza.

It was super easy to reserve a block of rooms for our wedding guests and the the rates were awesome. All of our guests were very happy with the accommodations as well.

The location of the hotel and the lower lever ballroom we chose was perfect for us and our guest. The food was also decently good. The caterer managers on the the other hide was a disappointment on the day/night. They made too many mistakes and did not give their staff clear directions of what we wanted. I'm sad and disappointed by their lack of listening, promises and leadership to the staff. They also were not dressed professionally, according to the comments I heard from our guests.

The Crowne Plaza was wonderful! It is a beautiful hotel, filled with comfortable furniture and tasteful decor, and set amidst beautiful parks. It is a wonderful location to spend the weekend. The on-site cafe has great food, the lounge has comfortable seating and a TV, the rooms have Sleep-Number beds, the parking is spacious, etc. The caterers were incredibly accommodating. My dad, some of my guests, and I have serious food allergies, and CP accommodated them all with special recipes, allergy warnings, and alternative meals. And when my husband mentioned that he liked warm brownies with his ice cream, they jumped at the chance to prepare a special plate for him. The food was wonderful! No dry chicken or bland wedding food! The price was better than anything else we saw.

We were SO thrilled to find this place. It is like NO other. We had to have our reception in the Scandinavian Room when we saw it. It was perfect for us! Amy and her team we the Best to work with they did everything and ANYTHING we needed.

I used the Radisson for my ceremony and reception. MN weather can be unpredictable, so we initially planned to use one of their rooms for the ceremony, but was able to have the wedding on their grounds outside at the last moment. It was fabulous and the event coordinator pulled off splendidly. The banquet managers and staff were fabulous, and made every effort to ensure our wedding was great. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking in the area. Plus, it was great to have nice hotel rooms right there for everyone to crash after the day. The hotel was great when pricing our event as well. The date we picked was on a Sunday and a holiday weekend, so they made it worth our while financially and we were able to have an open bar like we wanted.

The Radisson is a good place for a group to stay because they have a bar and a lounge area that are open for guests to use. We continued our party there after the wedding and had a great time. Overall the place is clean and well kept.

The food was incredible and people are still talking about it. They provided great service and were top notch. Everyone was great to work with, and the wait staff was so professional. I felt so comfortable and at ease knowing they were in charge. They were reliable and I commend them!
