Our wedding at San Marcos was a dream come true! We had a very sudden venue change two months before and with invitations already sent we were stressed out. One of our vendors connected us with Yovany and the rest is history! We had our wedding in the fountain courtyard and it was stunning for both ceremony and reception. Yovany & team worked quickly to make sure our day would run smoothly and she even ran our rehearsal for us. All of our guests raved about the food and drinks and it was very competitive pricing! Yovany went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful!

I cannot say enough good things about this venue for weddings. All of the event coordinators and planners were very accommodating and they are affordable. And I have to gush over the food. That was the highlight of the night- all of our guests said the food was AMAZING and way better than other food they’ve had at high end hotels around Phoenix. The rooftop space and set up was beautiful. Yovany went out of her way for me by providing table numbers so I didn’t have to buy any and she was very communicative. We had the best day and the property is seriously swoon worthy for wedding pictures!
I had my wedding at San Marcos Chandler Resort in October 2024. Yovany and her team have been amazing since day one. I did alot of my communicating via out of state and Yovany had been more than helpful with making sure she worked with me on getting everything done on a timely manner. Yovany made sure me and my fiance were included on tastings, vendor meet and greets, and all the little things you don't really even think about it until you;re in the thick of it. Most importantly that left an impression with me, Yovany's warm and lovely personality, on top of of her professionalism she's just the ideal coordinator you want to work with during the time of your wedding. I highly recommend San Marcos, all my guests stayed at the resort and had a great time exploring downtown chandler during our wedding weekend. I couldn't be more happier with my choice of venue and everything that followed throughout.

Our daughter Isabella has for years looked forward to and dreamed about experiencing a grand, festive and memorable Quinceañera celebration with friends and family.
We knew that our choice of location of venue would be a key component of bringing our daughter's vision and expectations to reality.
We visited several venues in the East Valley. Then we made an appointment to visit the Crowne Plaza San Marcos in Chandler.
Yovany Najera, Catering & Special Events Manager at Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort, guided us through the process of identifying the most important features of our event. Yovany helped us to visualize the splendor of the San Marcos Ballroom, the elegant reception and cocktails space, and the beautiful outdoor patio as it would be experienced on the night of our event.
A preparation room for Isabella & Mom created a comfortable space for hair, makeup and dress steps.
Yovany walked us through every detail of meal selections, bar options, and the logistics required to convert our vision for Isabella's big day into a rousing success and then into vivid and lasting memories.
We also benefitted from an onsite tasting event, at Yovany's invitation, prior to our celebration.
Our plans were fluid and changing. Yovany was with us the entire journey to translate our preferences for our guest experience into a manageable budget and payment arrangements.

We are so happy that we chose to get married at this beautiful all inclusive resort in the heart of Historic Downtown Chandler. We looked at many wedding venues all over the East Valley and made the decision to have our special day here. Since it is in the heart of Chandler everything is within walking distance just minutes away. The resort and staff even blocked out rooms for our out of town Guests at a discounted rate.
We had around 75 Guests and our Ceremony was in the 'Fountain Courtyard' and our Reception/Dinner was held upstairs on the 'La Terraza Patio'. The Bridal Suite was in the 'La Vista Room' upstairs as well, that overlooked where our Ceremony was being held. The Cocktail hour was held in 'The Palomino Room' that was adjacent to the dinner/reception area.
We had our special day, Saturday 3/2/24, in all of these areas of the Resort due to the beauty and space needed for our size of wedding. It was 2 years of planning and it was so worth it.
The day was flawless and went off without any issues because of the incredible Staff at this resort. The weather was even perfect, sunny and cool out. Our Wedding Planner, YOVANY NAJERA, worked with us tirelessly and was always available no matter the time or day. Between e-mails, phone calls, in-person meetings, etc. she was always there for us.
We are so blessed and happy to have had our Wedding here at this beautiful resort and venue.

We had our wedding at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort in March of 2024. Our wedding specialist Yovany made the majority of planning and hosting the wedding as easy as possible. She and the venue helped with all the big details and all the small details in a timely and professional manner. We choose the outside courtyard for both our ceremony and reception, the space/venue worked out even better than we anticipated. We did have reserves on flipping the space but the Crowne Plaza Staff did a spectacular job on taking down the ceremony and setting up the reception exactly how we wanted it. We both got ready at the resort and took picture before the wedding and during cocktail hour, so there's tons of places to take pictures even while guest are mingling during cocktail hour. We had a lot of family/friends come in from out of town so the attached hotel at the resort made it perfect for everyone to stay at the hotel and attend our events. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with a friendly staff.

Everything was great from the organization/planning, timing, set up and views as well as their flexibility with last minute changes we had.
The Crowne Plaza was the perfect place for us to host our cocktail hour and reception for our wedding! A majority of our guests were from out of town, so having our venue double as a hotel was perfect. We chose the Pergola for our cocktail hour and the Fountain Courtyard for our reception, and both were perfect spaces. Nicole, the coordinator, made sure everything was set up to our liking/specifications, and it looked more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! The package we chose was all inclusive, taking care of the food, bar, seating, set-up, everything, which helped greatly with planning. The food was to die for during the tasting and the wedding itself, our guests cannot stop raving about it! The bartenders were also fantastic in handling our party. Each staff member was constantly checking in with us, as well as our parents and bridal party to make sure we were taken care of. The only drawback I found was some confusion with the hotel block, but Jill made sure to fix any issues we had. Overall, the Crowne Plaza was instrumental in making sure our day was absolutely perfect, and I could not recommend this venue more!
To those interested in booking the San Marcos: PLEASE READ. I hope people see this because, although I ended up having a beautiful wedding at the San Marcos, I did have a stressful time dealing with its management. My now husband and I booked the San Marcos in Sept of 2021 for our Jan 21, 2023 wedding, we signed a contract for prices dictated in the package available in Sept of 2021, but when we went to our food tasting in Aug of 2022, management tried to switch the pricing to the current years' package (a much higher rate). It wasn't until we took a screenshot of our contract and emailed it to management that we were able to get confirmation they would not be gouging us for pricing that didn't even exist when we signed our contract. That being said, Nicole was an amazing coordinator and worked with us closely to make our wedding day look how we wanted. Our ceremony was what I always imagined and we had a lot of fun at our reception in their La Terraza space. The venue is beautiful for photos and I am so happy with how ours turned out. If I could give the venue a 3.5-3.75, I would.
TLDR: Jill Turski, the director of sales and marketing, will try to gouge you for money if you don't read your contract. Nicole is an amazing coordinator and we were happy to work with her!
My mom threw me a baby shower at the Crowne Plaza. The entire event turned out amazing. It was a truly magical experience. Nicole McCall was the lady that made it all happen. When I arrived she was there working hard and making sure everything was perfect. The staff respected her and followed her direction. My mom got the the Plaza early and said Nicole was already there setting up. Overall, I was very impressed with the entire experience!
Working with Nicole at the Crowne Plaza, for my engagement party was a breeze and a pleasure. We met up twice once to walk the grounds and go over how I would like everything laid out and a second time to go over the menu and pick out some of the decor pieces they had for us to use for free. We had a Parisian theme for engagement party as we are getting married in Paris France this year. Nicole offered us some of their gold rings with silk flowers, and glass hurricanes with white candles to help us decorate the tables. The fountain in the middle of the garden added to beautiful aesthetic. You are allowed to bring outside desserts, so we hired a crêpe stand to make dessert crêpes for everyone to go along with the tea sandwiches and breakfast items we had for a Parisian brunch. We had to make some last second changes the day of but everything still looked beautiful. The food tasted great, the drinks were flowing, the service cleanup was quick and easy. Nicole approached me several times to ensure everything was as needed during the event and the head of catering was on top of ensuring the food kept getting replenished. The engagement party was for around 80 people which could’ve became an overwhelming experience quickly for a type A person like me, but Nicole insured everything went smoothly and worked great. The only hiccups we experienced were it ended up being a very hot day and a bird decided to take a poop on one of our tables, which Nicole quickly replaced. I Would definitely recommend using the Gardens of this resort for any sort of party you have as the team at this resort will make it happen for you.
Nicole hosted the most amazing engagement party and baby shower that I attended with friends! Everything was carefully crafted to look absolutely stunning and the food couldn’t have been better! They both were remarkable events put on by Nicole! She definitely outdid herself because they both were so beautiful to attend!
I had a similar experience as some of the recent brides. Since Annie left, communication was a complete disaster. I also did not see or hear from the coordinator until JUST before walking down the aisle. I needed to be pulled from first look photos to discuss “confusion” with the table numbers. These had been emailed well in advance, and apparently she told my Aunt that I had not sent them. I had two tables that were short a seat (I looked back, and I had the numbers correct for each table) however the confusion left two guests standing for a period of time. The response was “the bride didn’t tell us there was a change.” This was quite embarrassing. There were so many other small things, including never getting my cake topper back that we ordered custom made. We also didn’t receive the bathroom baskets back. For both, they stated that “someone from the family must have taken them.” We reached out to everyone, and nobody had them. I’m sure the cake topper was just tossed. There was so much confusion, Mis communication, and mistakes made. I could go on and on. They even changed the venue of my welcome party the night before without informing me. I had notified everyone to meet in the courtyard and I found out from the sign in front when I entered my own welcome party. That it was not there. Their response was “whoops, I guess we didn’t tell you.”
Positives. This hotel is in an amazing location downtown, next to golf for the guys, stores and restaurants for everyone. The pool was awesome, and the courtyard was gorgeous thanks to Fred’s Flowers. Guests from out of town didn’t need a car all weekend, which was great. For the location, I would choose this venue. The hotel still has so much potential, but would need a completely new staff to change my mind and recommend them.
I fell in love with this venue as it had everything we needed in one spot; hotel, ceremony, and reception. We had our ceremony in the courtyard, our reception on the rooftop terrace, and took pictures around the property and on the golf course. I loved the bridal suite as it looked over courtyard so I could see the guests before the ceremony. Since first starting to plan my wedding the wedding coordinator changed at the venue and communication was a bit difficult with the new coordinator. She also didn't show up on my wedding day until 4:45 when my wedding started at 5. With that being said, the rest of the employees did a fantastic job setting up and getting things done. Major shoutout to Bryan and Brandi. The food was amazing as well!! I would recommend having your wedding at San Marcos.
Our wedding was April 15 at San Marcos and it was hands down the most beautiful wedding I could imagine (my guests said the same)! The resort is breathtaking and has a great location, 20 minutes from the Phoenix airport and so walkable that you don’t need to rent a car. We had our ceremony outside under the pergola and the reception in the fountain courtyard. Prince, the banquet manager, was a dream.
Nicole is the newer wedding coordinator who was also great to work with. If she didn’t have an answer, she was good about getting back to us. We had a few miscommunications, like the reception table set up the day of the wedding, but they ironed everything out and had it corrected. She really shined helping us coordinate details at rehearsal, like where we could walk-in, and the day of the wedding she kept an eye on all the vendors making sure things were coming together and that the boys didn’t cross paths with us after they got back from golfing. I really appreciate her taking the time to make our day special and checking in several times to ensure we didn’t need anything. San Marcos also delivered champagne and chocolate covered strawberries with a thank you card to our room. It’s details like these that set them apart!
Several of our guests had issues checking in, and this is the biggest pain point we had during our stay. People were double charged (it was made right) and there was so much confusion over our wedding “welcome bags”. We went to morning, afternoon and evening shifts to remind them to hand them out. Breanna apologized, and was great adding notes in their system to try to make sure each guest got a bag. There were people getting bags who were with a different wedding, or not getting a bag at all, which doesn’t seem like a big deal, but hundreds of dollars were spent on them. We ended up handing them out ourselves. The lobby reception crew does not seem equipped to handle events. Our room was never cleaned, which wasn’t a big deal to us, we just stocked up on toilet paper and towels ourselves. A heads up checking in would be nice noting you have to schedule a cleaning. Some of our guests also had room service plates by their door for days before getting picked up.
Overall, I recommend this resort to anyone coming to Chandler or looking for a wedding venue. I will note that several rooms will have a construction view, which was our first room. Normally we wouldn’t have minded, but it was our wedding weekend, so we asked to move. San Marcos was good at making things right when needed and have many great staff members that seem to really care about your stay. I can’t wait to come back...I can’t thank them enough for making our day one I’ll never forget for us and our guests.
Beware and Look Elsewhere.....I would recommend that you look elsewhere for your wedding/reception venue. Our recent experience was less than favorable. We started the planning process with the previous wedding coordinator, Annie, who is no longer with the hotel. Upon Annie's departure, the whole process fell apart. We had to initiate contact with the Director of Sales and Marketing to schedule the meeting to finalize the details. When we arrived for the meeting, it was apparent that she was not al all prepared for the meeting nor was aware of our previous interactions with Annie. That should have been a clue to us but we were already committed and it was too late to change venues. We had to micro-manage the entire process only to still be disappointed in the end by the hotel not serving the correct entrée at the reception and having incorrect table centerpieces. When it was noticed that the centerpieces were incorrect, it should have been corrected right then and there as there was still time before the start of the reception. As for the incorrect entrée being served, what was served in no way resembled the choice we selected at the tasting. There were multiple instances were the entrée selection was reiterated through emails and documentation up until the date. How it was still incorrect is baffling. There were numerous other mishaps along the way, too many to list here.
After the reception, we had a discussion with the Director of Sales and Marketing and were offered IHG rewards points to compensate for the mistakes made by the Crowne Plaza team. We, however, felt it more appropriate that we receive a reduction in pricing due to the incorrect entrée being served. We certainly should not have to pay for something that was not what was selected. The Crowne Plaza did concede to the price reduction. We were told that the multiple mistakes made by the new wedding coordinator, the banquet team, etc. were all 'lessons' learned for the team. It's unfortunate that the lessons learned were literally at our expense, both emotionally and financially. The disappointment that we feel over the entire experience is immeasurable and nothing we would want anyone else to go through. This was such an important and special time for us, one which cannot be recreated and there was certainly a damper put on the event due to the way it was handled by the Crowne Plaza from before, during, and after the event.
We are so happy with our experience at Crowne Plaza San Marcos! Our wedding was truly perfect. Annie answered my million questions and did everything to make the day easy. I didn’t have to worry about anything since Annie was there. The food was delicious, the ambiance was perfect. Our guests loved the venue and the convenience of being able to stay at the hotel. I would pick this venue over and over again. Our day was absolutely perfect thanks to Annie & Crowne Plaza San Marcos!
Our experience at the San Marcos Golf Resort was amazing. From the beginning to the end, they were attentive, communicative, and always ready to help. Annie is the best! She has all the answers and made our experience individualized and personal. She wants to ensure that the bride and groom have a perfect day. They coordinate with all the vendors. Their staff did an impeccable job turning over the seated area into a beautiful farm table setup that was magical. The bridal room was fabulous with snacks and mimosas. All of our guests raved about the beauty of the venue and the quality of our plated meals. They were impressed at the portion size and outstanding taste of each meal. I had no worries the day of the wedding. As the mother of the bride, I wanted to make it a very special day, and it was truly magical. We did the package that included the cake, which was spectacular. I didn't lift a finger and could spend time with my family without worry. I really cannot say enough wonderful comments about the venue and the staff that supports this lovely hotel. Our family staying at the hotel also loved the renovated rooms and lobby area. I highly recommend the braised short ribs and the salmon--both were huge hits are our plated dinner reception.

Amazing!! I called Annie less then 2 weeks before my daughter and new son-in-law wanted to get married! Annie made it so easy! Super reasonable! My daughter wanted her wedding & reception outside, vegetarian choices with her dog in attendance! They accommodated everything we asked for. We had the wedding and the reception under the pergola. Prince was in charge of the banquet staff. Set up was perfect and he even helped us when we were decorating! We chose the street tacos and cheese enchiladas for dinner. They were a big hit! The food was delicious and the staff was great. We had a bar too and the drinks were great! Needless to say we had an incredible day! One that will be in all of our memories forever! The setup was amazing once completed. Annie was very helpful in communicating with us. The servers during our event were very helpful and polite. The server captain Prince, was the sweetest gentleman and made sure the evening stayed on track.
Hands down the best staff experience and best venue we could have possibly had for our wedding. Wedding planning is stressful enough but when you have a wedding planner and support staff like at the San Marcos they make it stress free. Annie was so accommodating to every question, special request, change, etc. that we had. She is organized, responsive and so patient. All top qualities you need as a bride in your wedding coordinator. From the tastings to the tours to the planning appointments, the whole experience was FUN and not stressful. Our wedding day was flawless and we were so honored to have our guests there and show off the beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent service and great food and cocktails. We feel so fortunate for having the opportunity to have our wedding here. If they aren't available on your ideal date my recommendation would be to change your date because its worth it to be able to marry at the San Marcos.

The venue itself is gorgeous and I didn't have to spend lots of money on decorating it. We had our ceremony in the Pergola and the reception in the courtyard. The 100 year old vines and lush greenery gave us the wedding of our dreams.
There were no mistakes made the day of our wedding, making our experience even greater. My husband and I had nothing to worry about thanks to Annie and her staff. If you're looking for a simple, warm, and initmate wedding ~ this is the venue for you.
HIGHLY recommend for your wedding! Annie was amazing to work with, she made everything so easy and simple. With COVID going on throughout our entire planning process she was right there anytime we had questions or concerns. The wedding day was unbelievably smooth thanks to Annie, everyone knew where they were supposed to be and when. The flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception was seamless. Our guests were in awe of the venue, the food the organization l, everything. We were told by multiple guests throughout the night that this was the best wedding they had ever been to. About a month before my wedding, all my original plans for having a small wedding in Minnesota fell through. As we looked for other options, we played with the idea of eloping in Arizona (where we were honeymooning). Soon after, I got in contact with San Marcos about hosting a reception there after getting married at San Tan Mountain Regional Park and everything fell right into place! With less than a month to plan, Annie was absolutely incredible at coordinating and making my day an actual dream. Everyone was kind, easy to work with, and paid attention to all the little details! The hotel itself was a beautiful place for taking pictures and the fountain courtyard we had the reception out there was absolutely breathtaking at night with the string lights. Could not recommend this venue more!!!!!

Our wedding at Crowne plaza in downtown Chandler was a dream. In March, the courtyard where we held our ceremony was lush and vibrant with spring flowers. We had our reception on the rooftop terrace. The ambiance was perfection! We enjoyed the sunset and great food in such an intimate location. Annie, our wedding coordinator, went above and beyond to ensure our day was smooth. She made sure we covered every last detail and really supported us along the way! If I could give 10+ stars I would!! Couldn’t recommend the venue more!
This was the perfect venue for our wedding! The grounds are gorgeous, I love that it is a historic part of downtown next to lots of restaurants and bars (I went out in my wedding dress after which was a total blast), the venue had a lot of décor on hand for us to use which was a really pleasant surprise, and the rooftop was such a fun spot for our reception! Also, the honeymoon suite was enormous! Annie, our wedding coordinator was amazing and super detail oriented which made all of our planning so smooth! All of the staff was so kind and thoughtful! One of the staff heard that I wanted to make sure I got to try our hors d'oeuvres (they catered bacon wrapped shrimps that were to die for) and so she brought a plate of them upstairs for me and kept them warm until I had a moment to eat them before the reception! So sweet! My family and friends had a blast and LOVED dinner as well. The short rib was ridiculously tasty. After our previous plans fell a part last minute, I had to plan the whole wedding over again in a few months and Annie even got our original date worked out by some miracle which was just amazing. I had the wedding of my dreams and I am so grateful that I chose the San Marcos!!
Annie at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos is AMAZING! We only had four months to plan my daughter's wedding, and Annie made it happen. She easily scheduled consultations, recommended excellent vendors, and answered emails and phone calls quickly. We never had to worry about a thing. There were so many details that she took care of while enhancing my daughter's vision of her special day.
The day of the wedding, the bridal party was able to get ready in a special room. Food and drinks were included and replenished frequently. The hotel's salon came up to the room and did all the girls' hair and makeup. It really made for a great time for just the girls. Hotel staff checked on us frequently and was able to answer any questions we had.
We had the wedding outside in the pergola area and it was lovely. The staff was able to keep unwanted hotel guests at bay during the ceremony so we had no interference. We had the cocktail hour inside and outside with plenty of seating for guests who needed it. We also had lawn games for guests to enjoy while waiting for the bridal party to finish pictures.
The food on the night of the reception was exactly like the food we enjoyed at the tasting. Guests with allergies were provided with alternative dinners which were equally delicious. The serving staff was unobtrusive and quickly attended to our guests' needs. Covid precautions included plated appetizers during cocktail hour, rolled silverware, and covered water glasses.
Each staff member we interacted with at the Crowne Plaza San Marcos treated us with personalized attention. If there were any hiccups with the wedding or reception, we never knew about it. I cannot recommend Annie and the resort highly enough.
Our day could not have gone better. Thank you to Annie to helped us and guided us throughout the year during our planning process (which includes navigating through COVID). Her professionalism and flexibility made everything feel easy and not stressful at all!

I could not have asked for a better venue! My husband and I got married during the COVID-19 pandemic and were forced to postpone our wedding, but the venue was more than accommodating and so helpful! Annie is AMAZING! So quick to respond to my emails and answer all of my questions. We got married in the courtyard which was absolutely stunning, and the ballroom is INCREDIBLE! I got so many compliments from my guests. Food is also superb! I cannot say enough nice things about the San Marcos. We are so lucky to have worked with such an amazing staff that helped make our day perfect!
Annie at the San Marcos Hotel in Chandler was phenomenal. As a parent of the groom, and a busy week professional, I needed some extra help. Annie made sure to keep me updated and reminded about tasks that were due and was wonderful. The rehearsal lunch and wedding was beautiful and I was able to sit back and relax, and enjoy. Our Wedding Coordinator Annie did an awesome job! From the first time I called, and then all encounters after that, Annie communicated promptly and with professioanlism. The wedding day finally arrived, and our reception hall was set up beautifully amd perfectly! Annie was there on our big day to make sure all was going as planned. Our reception Captain Danny was gracious and made sure my Bride Mary Jane and I had everything we needed and assisted us until the very end of the day. San Marcos earns an A+ from this Bride and Groom!

We held our wedding reception here and the experience was wonderful. Annie walked us through the entire process and didn’t mind my emails to clarify the details. She helped me decide on the right set up for the room and the decorations for the tables. The night of the reception was effortless. We just showed up and everything was taken care of. I should also mention that this location is perfect for pictures which we did in the afternoon before our wedding. The food was delicious and Annie worked with us to adjust to what we wanted. We can highly recommend this venue!
Our wedding was everything we hoped for. We had the party of our lives and it's all thanks to Annie Artenian and the Crowne Plaza San Marcos staff! The hotel itself was a beautiful setting. Our photographer was giddy with how excellent the grounds were, and our pictures were extraordinary.
Finally, downtown Chandler is an awesome place for a wedding. We walked to a favorite bar after reception, and the atmosphere was magical. Our guests enjoyed the small but dense city center, and we made some great memories before, during, and after the ceremony.

Annie Artenian was amazing. She was there for us every step of the way. We even had a bit of a snafu with the flowers, and her and her team did their absolute best to fix the problem and let our day continue with out any issues. We had our ceremony and brunch on the courtyard and it was the absolute best. We were blessed with great weather. They had just redone the floors and grass area, it looked beautiful. We really cannot say enough great things about this venue and Annie along with the whole team at the Crowne Plaza.
The San Marcos has always been a special place for me and I loved the history of this Chandler landmark. When my daughter wanted to have a vintage glam wedding, I knew that she would love this resort. From the moment we met with Annie the wedding coordinator, I felt comfortable and sure this was the place to have her dream wedding. She kept us up to date on all deadlines and offered us so many options with decor and linens.
The day of the wedding went smoothly, even though it rained. The plan B ceremony site was beautiful and my daughter and son in law were very happy with it. The food was outstanding! Even the specially requested Flan was delicious (and I'm Cuban, so I know good Flan). I received so many compliments on the wedding and how beautiful everything was, but I know we couldn't have done it without the staff at the San Marcos. Thank you!

Annie and her team made sure that we had the wedding that we wanted and our guests had an amazing experiance. We had three goals 1. sign the marriage certificate 2. have great photos 3. no one leave hungry. The day was a great success, we even limited outbursts to toddlers.
Annie helped me plan this event from over a thousand miles away, almost completely by email. I didn't actually see the venue until we flew out for our tasting and planning visit in Sept. Which Annie was kind enough to move for me after I misread the calendar.
As always with a large event, there were a few bumps but they were well handled. Annie even kept in contact with me over the Christmas holiday as the weather was being uncooperative.
The San Marcos provides not only a great value but also a great experiance for your guests. Once they get in they don't have to drive anywhere- downtown Chandler has everything. Our rehearsal dinner, and breakfast the next day were all held within walking distance. My hair and makeup was done at the salon on site. Everything was as simple as a wedding could possibly be. I can't thank Annie and the staff at the San Marcos enough.

We had our parents 65th Wedding Anniversary party at the San Marcos in early September 2019. It was truly fabulous. All our out of town guests stayed at the Crowne Plaza also.
The staff, from planning to the night of the big party, were wonderful. We had such fun and it was all so worry free! Very beautiful and the food was scrumptious! We had access to photographers, florists, and ideas!

The venue is beautiful, we had our ceremony in the courtyard and with all of its greenery and trees it really doesn't need a lot of decor. Annie is amazing. She is so helpful and answered all of my crazy questions. She even helped with suggesting florists. The food was amazing and their drinks were spot on. The location in downtown Chandler is perfect. So much for out of towners to see and do, that they can walk to. It was perfect as most of our guests were from out of town.

My husband and I recently held our vow renewal ceremony at the San Marcos Fountain Courtyard. We couldn't have asked for a better day! Every staff member was incredibly helpful and committed to making our vow renewal a special memory for us.
Nobody ever wants to recieve a massive Weather Alert go off on their phone...especially a bride...an hour before her outdoor wedding! However, this happened to me. Let's just say I cried. And then Annie walked into my bridal suite! After spending a great deal of time setting up my ceremony space (now thinking everything was destroyed), Annie told me she and her team got everything moved right in time! I proceeded to cry again but happy teara this time lol why do I share this with you all? Because even after months of planning, lots of phone calls and emails, making changes, and doing final walk throughs...your day can still turn out 100% different! Having somone as amazing as Annie in your corner will make all the chaos fade away! Every bride needs an Annie on her wedding day! She quite literally saved our wedding day!
This venue is beautiful! The outdoor area options are so pretty (even if you only get to take your pics there). The inside is full of some many cool spots as well. We honestly chose San Marcos because they offer a Ceremony Only package that was perfect for our 45 person wedding count. It is priced fair and they did provide a good amount of items in the package. But again, the best was Annie!
Even with every bump in the road you can think of, at the end of the day, my groom was standing at the alter and we said I Do! Remember THAT is all that truly matters! Thank you for everything!!!
If your looking for a wedding venue , san marcos golf resort is the complete package! Not only were the staff wonderful but Annie is there to answer any questions you may have along the way. The courtyard is beautiful as well as the ballroom. The bridal suite was more than accommodating to all of us women. I recommend this resort for everyones weddings!
Crowne Plaza San Marcos helped us host a wedding so awesome, several people described it as the best wedding they have ever attended. Annie helped us every step of the way to pick from the variety of custom wedding options. They can provide everything you'd expect a venue to provide and more! Even better, they helped us bring the whole family together with a room block and everyone had a blast for several days before hanging out at the pool and exploring the Chandler night life.
The pricing was very reasonable, better even than the dedicated wedding venues, and they don't have the hotel accommodations that Crowne Plaza offers.

We had our wedding at the San Marcos on June 15th and could not be happier with this venue! Their wedding coordinator, Annie, was one of the major reasons we selected this venue. Annie was EXTREMELY easy to work with- very professional, quick to respond to questions or concerns via email, had an answer for any of my concerns, was able to make suggestions when needed, we never felt as though she was trying to "up sell" us or that her agenda was anything other than what was best for us, as the couple getting married. We loved that there were no secret costs and all the pricing was super transparent. There were many choices for food, beverages and extras, giving us the flexibility to decide specifics- we felt the hotel was very flexible and could not have been easier to work with. Our guests raved and raved about the service during the reception, which my husband and I also noticed as being exceptional. We are so happy we chose the San Marcos for our wedding and highly recommend it to any couple looking.

The property is beautiful and our photos turned out fantastic! In addition, the courtyard was recently renovated and it looked beautiful for our evening party! Annie, our coordinator, was amazing. She made sure every detail was in place. We had an amazing time!
Every step of the way I felt taken care of and knowing Annie was ON IT. All was clear , no surprised no added costs etc.... It was more than I thought possible right to the Catering Manager, his staff and the treatment of all the guests at this venue was exceptional. This venue was amazing!!! From the very moment that we met with Annie I had a good feeling about the venue and working with the staff. I spent months researching venues and of the properties, the San Marcos was the best when it came to price, accommodations, location, and overall willingness to make our day memorable. Annie is transparent with setting a timeline and expectations from the very beginning and she was able to answer any question along the way (Because I planned this wedding on my own, I’m sure I had tons of questions!). Annie really gave me an outline to work with and every detail that I wanted came to life on the day of the wedding! Our guests have a wonderful time and the food was just as we tasted it the day of our trial (AMAZING!!!). Of course, just with any event, there were some bumps along the way, but Annie and the staff at the San Marcos made sure to resolve any issues that may have arose along the way. On top of this, the vendors that I worked with all made the day go smoothly because they were familiar with Annie and the property! If you are looking for a venue to that is flexible and willing to really make your wedding vision come true, this is the place!
I absolutely loved working with Annie at San Marcos! We had a very long engagement and as the time came to plan, Annie was an absolute ROCKSTAR. Besides being patient, accommodating, and kind... the day of the wedding we had unexpected rain that ended up forcing us to move our ceremony from outside to inside. As a Bride, I panicked a little as I was unsure how the inside room would look. Annie not only stayed calm, but assured me that everything would turn out beautifully. Guess what? IT TOTALLY DID! It was much more intimate and romantic from the way they turned everything over in less than two hours. Seriously. I'm so happy it worked out that way!
Everyone raved about the food! We did a Mexican/Italian themed wedding to honor both our heritages. For cocktail hour we had Mini Chimis, Empanadas, and a Nacho bar. Everyone loved that! Which is great because I believe cocktail hour sets the tone of the wedding in my opinion. For dinner, we had Chicken Parmesan/ Braised Short Ribs with Rissotto and seasonal vegetables which was AMAZING! The staff were so sweet and helpful that I never had such great service in my life.
The only thing I would say for couples is to ensure that you have everything packed up, set aside, and have someone designated to grab your personal belongings to a locked room from the bridal suite or ballroom. I unfortunately had my wallet stolen from the ballroom (not bridal suite) on the night of the wedding. There aren't cameras inside the ballroom for us to check on what could've happened. As well as the bridal suite doesn't get locked either. However, please know that we truly did love the staff and this could've happened to anyone. I just wanted inform so this doesn't happen to another couple.
I honestly could go on and on about how wonderful they are. Every Bride and Groom should feel the way we did on our wedding day especially with a crew like this by your side.

We cannot even put into words just how absolutely magnificent and wonderful our Havana Nights themed wedding was at this resort. This place just absolutely screens of elegance and chic with a twist of historical structure and ambience. Every single one of the servers is on their “A” game - all day. Our guests raved about how delicious and gourmet their dinner entrees were. The bridal suite experience is someone that I will always remember for the rest of my life. Annie made sure I had everything I needed to feel like a princess on the day of my wedding. She made the process smooth and oh-so-fun! The team pulled off one amazing memory that will forever be with me, my husband and our family and friends. Did I mention the gorgeous photo-ops around this STUNNING property?!? From elegant staircases to vibrant chandeliers - to rustic window panes and green vines to die for...this photos will create a lasting impression. THANK YOU to Annie and the ENTIRE San Marcos staff - you all outdid yourselves!

After searching for several venues in Phoenix and almost ready to give up I just happen to come across the Crown Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort Hotel. I had the pleasure of dealing with Annie Artenian who went above and beyond to make sure our day was seamless and beautiful. She and the staff really did an amazing job. By far, the best food we've ever had at a wedding reception. We received so many compliments on our wedding and I owe it all to the great staff at the Crown. Chris and I looked at quite a few venues, but there was something that kept drawing us back to the San Marcos. Partially for it's rich history and second for it's great options for the reception and ceremony. We had a few stressful moments when planning, but at the end of the day everything worked out and we had a perfect, beautiful wedding and reception on La Terraza, the rooftop venue space. The pricing was reasonable! My only complaint was that we started working with one planner and then we switched in the process, so we finished up working with Annie. Her and her team worked to make sure we were satisfied in the end. The whole time we felt very comfortable, and would highly recommend for LGBT weddings! Thanks for making our day special.
This was the first and only venue my husband and I looked at. As soon as we walked into the front lobby, we knew this is where we were going to get married. Annie and her team made the process easy and enjoyable and I never felt stressed for a second. Annie was easy to work with and knew exactly what I had envisioned for my perfect day. I’d also like to add that Vaya Salon is wonderful as well and my bridal party and I had a fantastic time getting our hair and makeup done. Our ceremony went off without a hitch (even though the BBQ fest was being held right accross the street and we had to move the ceremony location last minute) we couldn’t have been more happy with the way it turned out. The reception space turned out AH-mazing and was everything I dreamed of. There is no better place to have your wedding whether it’s small and intimate or a large gathering. Best experience ever!!
I hosted a Bridal Shower “Brunch and Bubbly” here in June. It was essentially a 55 guest wedding, because the wedding event will be in Sonoma, Ca. This event turned out so beautifully, with the venue, the wedding specialist, the banquet staff, and the chef all exceeding my expectations. The bride even commented that it might eclipse her wedding day. I cannot say enough about the help i received, the immediate communication, and flexibility in meeting all my needs.
If I could give 100 stars I would! When we decided on an Arizona wedding, we knew the San Marcos would be our venue. Downtown Chandler is where we met. So when we met Annie and told her our story, she instantly made sure to make everything special. She is patient, answered all my bride questions quickly. I honestly miss her! She has great ideas and feedback. We were on a budget, and we were provided with many options that helped us keep within that budget. On wedding day, everything ran smoothly and according to plan. Annie helped to keep us organized and on time, always making sure we had everything we needed. This is a beautiful venue with so much historic charm. The dinner at our reception was delicious! We had so many comments from guests about the food. The staff was so friendly to everybody! I would recommend this venue to anyone. We had a perfect, beautiful day and couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. Thank you Annie and to your amazing staff!!
I want to give this vendor 5 stars because I love the San Marcos and its historic beauty, which I thought would be the perfect place for our wedding ceremony. We had our reception planned on Saguaro Lake (which had special meaning to us) and feel like the service lacked because we did not have our entire wedding at their resort. Trying to even book our ceremony was no easy feat and it did not get any better (we booked almost a year before the actual wedding). The room block was an absolute nightmare. The communication was awful to the point where my now husband had to call to help me sort out the details since I was not receiving responses to my e-mails or calls. We were being charged for welcome bags, which would had been fine if my guests had received them upon their arrival. I printed the entire list of the room block, labelled each bag for each room and was told there would be no issue with getting the bags to the guests. I was informed there was a meeting about it and the bags would be in each guest's room for their check-in. However, guests did not receive the bags and it wasn't until a guest knew about them, asked and called a manager that everyone else received them. While they did remove the charge, it was frustrating to hear there were issues. Also, the check-in process was very stressful as I had booked a suite to get ready in and they sent us to a room booked under someone else's name...again it was corrected but we had to drag all of our belongings to different rooms. We also paid a significant amount of money to have a 30 minute ceremony and the resort also had another wedding the same day right after we finished. Again, we did not mind paying; however, the employees of the resort were very unorganized and I felt we over paid for the service we received.
I can't say enough great things about this venue! We had both our ceremony and reception there with about 40 people. Annie is wonderful to work with! She is punctual and very helpful. The bridal suite is perfect and the salon onsite is amazing as well! The food was great and the wait staff was very friendly. And the resort is gorgeous and clean. highly recommend!
