4 1/2 stars for a 5 star evening.
We needed a venue that met our need that it have a space that was an appropriate fit for our 60 guests ( would be lost in a ballroom ). We also needed a space that we could bring in a Kosher Caterer. They had... a kitchen to accommodate that; and it is right off of the room we chose. .
My specific request was for a space that had windows, felt open and did not look like a conference/meeting room. The solution was the Renaissance Room; which had windows and mirrors.
We had our ceremony on one side, the bar across the room and in between were our reception tables and our string quartet. The room was perfect for our needs.
Our event maitre d' was attentive and kept a close eye on the littlest details; like refilling my wine glass if it looked low, to directing the flow of service.
The room was hustling with multiple courses being brought from the kitchen, tables quietly cleared and individual needs always met during the night.
If there were any negatives, they were small. A change in our contact person came with the sudden departure of an event manager that was not communicated out. For 10 days in June, neither the caterer, or us, heard back from emails and phone messages. The hotel was not forwarding them to our new contact person; a simple process that should have happened sooner. Once we called the front desk, we were connected correctly. On our wedding day, guests were left in the lobby or directed to the private room where our Ketubah and marriage license were being signed, instead of the Renaissance Room. Once in the space, we know of no problems.
We were given a suite to get dressed in and to stay the night. The beautiful room was a calm spot before we joined our Rabbi and witnesses downstairs and a relaxing spot to go afterwards for our first night as husband and wife.
