Timing of food and celebrations was wonderful. John and staff were beyond attentive and considerate of different cultures needs. Buffet was hot and guests were raving about the spectacular array of choices which accomodated everyone. Crystal Peak also catered offsite the evening before and again, every detail was perfect! The food is something guests were raving about for days afterward! The staff is friendly, professional and very attentive. This is the best venue in NWCT and beyond!

The price is very fair for everything you get with your venue packages! Our day went very smoothly and we were able to enjoy our meals, and still have time to dance/chat with guests. The whole property, venue, the outside grounds, plenty of parking, it was absolutely beautiful and perfect! It has been a pleasure working with John. He’s very attentive and quick with responses. They have an unbeatable menu and so many options to pick from (we are foodie people!) We absolutely loved that they had a large selection of hors d’oeuvres that would be passed out. We had our food tasting back in February and the food was to die for! Everything we tried was so good. Two days before our wedding we had our final meeting, our rehearsal and our rehearsal dinner there. We brought all our decorations and discussed with John how we wanted everything set up. They literally decorate everything for you and undecorate and box everything up for you when your wedding is over! The other places we were going to look at didn’t offer that so that was a HUGE plus! No one wants that added stress. All we literally had to do was show up and enjoy our special day. John was very helpful and involved in the rehearsal. He worked very well with our officiate (Karen Mowad – Love her!!) that day. The rehearsal dinner was amazing and his staff was so kind and on point. He runs a very well managed and organized place. Our wedding day was our perfect fairytale! John and his staff were great with checking in with me to make sure everything was running smoothly and we had everything we needed. I truly appreciate how easy they made everything for us and we felt really taken care of and they made sure we had the best day of our lives! They helped carry the train on my dress, directed us in our important timeline, they made our wedding day calm, relaxing and a breeze! This place is a gem and literally has it all! Book your wedding or any special event there, you won’t be disappointed!! The venue, staff, service, incredible food, drinks, everything is amazing!! We will definitely recommend them to everyone we know and of course we hope to be back one day for any special event we have in our family. n’t was because of location, it was a bit a drive for my close family members who live closer to the coastline of CT, if it wasn’t for that, I probably would have picked this venue. Now as to why… John is super professional and transparent. The venue itself is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. The ceremony area is GORGEOUS, mind you, I saw the venue in the middle of November, so for it to still look beautiful in November says a lot. Now the inside… WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE! The ceiling is absolutely beautiful. This venue is simple BUT super elegant. The upstairs bridal area is very spacious and well kept. The entree choices that John gives is out of this world, not like any other venue I’ve been to. And his pricing is super affordable. John was super honest, transparent and even gave me helpful tips moving forward to another venues about questions I didn’t even think to ask. Like I said, if it weren’t for being a certain distance from my family, this venue would have been picked. Thank you John, it was a pleasure meeting you and hopefully I can refer another wedding couple to you for the years to come!

The appetizers were what sold us on the place in the end and they did not disappoint the food there is absolutely incredible. Dawn and the whole coordination staff work so hard to make sure the whole day feels as effortless as possible for you. The pricing was very good, and they are transparent, you can see the whole wedding packages, prices, and food online on their website in a pdf (which was something I found so helpful in the planning process so I had a idea of what the spending would be without having to call a million venues) I would definitely recommend for any event

He allowed us to specially request and substitute a few of our hors d'oeuvres that were not on his menu at no extra cost, and boxed up and sent us home with uneaten meals from our guests who were unable to attend last minute (covid). The wedding ceremony and reception spaces were beautiful, there were multiple places to take photos on site, and we loved how the dance floor was offset from the dining room to create more intimate spaces. John and his team were very polite, got us anything we needed before and during the event, and even helped us set up and break down our DIY stuff before and after the event. John was very responsive to all of our emails and allowed us to visit Crystal Peak multiple times to measure for our DIY decorations and show our parents who were visiting from out of state. It was nice to have a place on site to put dresses on and finalize before the event. We were nervous due to the prices being so low, compared to other venues in CT and the surrounding area, but there was nothing to be worried about. John and his team were excellent and the price was hard to beat. Our only complaint was the documentation and contracts could have been better organized in an online portal for better organization and communication. While John and his team were always responsive over email, sometimes things got jumbled because it was difficult to find answers to my questions by digging through previous emails. All-in-all our wedding was amazing, the food was excellent, the staff was awesome, everyone had a great time and we couldn't be more thankful for John and the Crystal Peak team.

A groomsmen had to unbutton his shirt! The team even helped us break down and organize our decorations at the end of the night. He was very patient with us and offered suggestions on how we can still have our wedding but safely. I am so so SO happy i listened to him. We had a beautiful outdoor reception that looked and felt straight out of a fairytale country setting you see in magazines. My guests were very impressed with the level of detail and effort John put in to go the extra mile and make the event literally perfect. We had no issues at all m, and the everything flowed smoothly. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and I don't even know where to start with the food!! Pages and pages of options to choose from! The most difficult part about planning the reception was choosing the menu options at the taste testing because they were all incredible and so delicious. I highly recommend John and Crystal Peak. He will go above and beyond for you at a very affordable and reasonable price. He is now our 1st choice for any future events!

stal Peak was breathtakingly beautiful both inside and out. The outdoors was great for photos and for our ceremony, and the inside was perfectly decorated for our reception. The cocktail hour, open bar, and food were all delicious (especially the mac and cheese, a guest favorite). The taste testing event to decide what food to have served on our big day was also a great time. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about the food, venue, staff, and owner. Many said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to! John and his team went above and beyond to make sure our big day was the way we wanted it to be. They made sure our gifts, extra food and decorations were packed and ready to go at the end of the night, helped direct guests when needed, and worked with our other vendors (DJ, photographers, photo-mirror, and justice of the peace). John was patient, personable, easy to get ahold of, and prompt with responses. He made sure our planning process and wedding day were smooth. He had plenty of helpful suggestions that made planning our big day less stressful. The staff were so helpful and attentive; they even offered to bustle my dress. Crystal Peak even gave us a discount for my husband serving in the military as a way to say thank you! We are completely satisfied with our decision to have our once in a lifetime day at Crystal Peak, and we would highly recommend it to anyone else looking to do the same.

ot dourves and buffet were delicious. We really had no need to hire a day of coordinator because they took care of everything. They provided directions for the wedding party during the ceremony, directed the guests to the cocktail room and organized everyone for introductions. The bartender and waiters were attentive and considerate of our guest's needs. Overall, we definitely got our money's worth especially since they were so focused on making our day stress free.

th every aspect of planning my sister's wedding. The event was phenomenal and we heard many people tell us that it was "the best wedding they had ever been to!" A few years later, when we wanted to plan a surprise party for my sister, we went with CP because we knew John would throw another great event for us, and he did just that. When I got engaged and began thinking about picking a place to get married, I had no doubt in my mind that I wanted to go with John and Crystal Peak, and I am so happy we did. John is one of the absolute best people you can find in this business. He oversees every aspect of every event and settles for nothing but perfection. A huge selling point for us was his absolutely wonderful food and we were so happy with the choices we made! Our wedding day and night were absolutely perfect! We had been planning all along to have the ceremony outside. It was pouring rain in the afternoon and John was the one texting me telling me he would still do everything he possibly could to get our ceremony outside, and he did! We made it just in time, and John and his staff made sure we were ready for whatever came our way. John worked side by side with us to make sure our wedding was everything we thought it would be. He seems to always be available to answer questions- and his timeliness in responding to email and phone calls in incredible! He made every single thing we wanted happen and we are so grateful to have found John and Crystal Peak. The only way to describe our wedding is to say that it was absolutely perfect, and John and the Crystal Peak staff made it happen!

John is amazing at his job and he made the entire process very special from the initial meeting to the tasting, to the rehearsal dinner, to the wedding. We had the smaller ballroom and our own private bar/lounge area as well. John went out of his way to be sure that our guests with dietary restrictions were happy with their meals. which is why we chose him over other vendors in the area. Throughout the process he was very timely about responding to our inquiries and receptive to our ideas. He was flexible about incorporating berries from our farm into the menu and came on site several months and several days prior to the wedding to ensure a smooth flowing reception. He worked very well with Taylor rental and us to be certain all necessary items were rented, down to every fork and spoon, and was willing to set up the tables in the tent and work around our venue amenities. We had some confusion towards the end with which wines and beers were included in an off-site event which lead to frustration with both parties in the days leading up to the wedding. Fortunately, the day was magnificent, the food and service was outstanding, and John and his team could not have been a better job. If you decide to choose this vendor, be sure alcohol options are clearly delineated in the contract, not simply "open bar for 4.5 hours", include also what is included in "open bar", and all else should be smooth sailing! You will have a wonderful experience.

You will get better service, food, atmosphere at Crystal Peak for a reasonable price than most other over priced reception halls. We had over 125 people and everyone walked away happy. They provided necessary recommendations but were also very supportive of what were priorities for us. Most importantly, the food and service on the day of our wedding were outstanding. We still have guests commenting on how good the appetizers and lamp chops were! The wait staff was extremely attentive and professional. I would highly recommend them!

Their property is gorgeous when everything is in bloom. Their food is out of this world phenomenal and came highly recommended. It definitely did not disappoint. Their facility is nicely maintained and they have a good size dance floor that was packed our whole time. The day of my wedding I was a little disappointed that the staff went into the bridal dressing area and threw away the bags for my bridesmaids dresses. It was a rainy day and they ended up changing before leaving and having to carry their dresses out unprotected in the rain. Also, I called to follow up on an item after returning from my honeymoon and was met with a lot of attitude and resistance, which left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. It seemed liked once they got my money, they could care less. Overall, I think the value was great and the location was perfect for us, so in the end it all worked out and we had a great day.

But from the first day John and his wife Jennifer were absolutely wonderful. They were in touch with Taylor Rental (who were amazing also) and ordered everything we needed. On the day of our wedding everything was executed perfectly. I can’t begin to explain how many of our guests complimented on how delicious the food was. John, Jennifer, and their staff, are truly professionals.
