I always knew I wanted a wedding coordinator, not just for the day of, but someone I could rely on for guidance along the way—and the Curated team delivered exactly that. Being a very type-A person, I was worried about feeling stressed on the day, but I felt completely calm because I knew Lauren and her team would take care of everything. We didn’t have to worry at all! They followed our setup instructions perfectly and even added thoughtful extra touches we hadn’t thought of ourselves.
As a couple living on the East Coast but getting married on the West Coast, we were especially grateful for Lauren’s generosity in allowing us to ship any wedding items to her home. This made the whole planning process so much easier. We truly appreciated her attention to detail and the seamless execution on our wedding day. As an extra bonus Lauren and her team took little photos and clips throughout the day. This was such a wonderful surprise and so nice to have as we waited to get our professional photos back.
We first discovered Mary Hicks through a close friend's wedding, which happened just before we got engaged. I remember thinking how stress-free and happy that bride looked, and I knew I wanted the same experience for our wedding. Initially, we tried to navigate the wedding planning process on our own, but we quickly became overwhelmed, especially when it came to choosing a venue. That’s when I reached out to my friend for the name of their planner, and that’s how we began our wonderful journey with Mary!
From our first meeting, we instantly connected with Mary. She immediately understood our personalities and vision. Over the 1.5 years of planning, we had regular check-ins, and Mary kept us on top of our to-dos so we were always ahead of schedule and stress-free.
Mary helped make all decisions a breeze. She always provided us with a short list of vendors that perfectly matched our budget, style and needs, which made all decisions very easy to make. By the end of our planning journey, it felt like she knew us better than we knew ourselves.
On the day of our wedding (May 2024), everything was absolutely perfect. Not a single detail went awry. Mary’s presence and coordination made our special day seamless and incredibly memorable. My dream of being a stress-free bride came true! Our friends and family keep saying our wedding was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they’ve been to.

Look no further! The team at Curated by Grace + White, particularly Mary Hicks (our lead planner), are the best in the business when it comes to wedding planning. Our June 2023 wedding at Silverado Resort in Napa was perfection beyond my wildest dreams thanks to them. My husband and I laughed so hard it hurt, cried (happy tears), danced the night away, and truly had the best day we could have ever hoped for. All the credit has to be given to Mary and her team for making that a reality!!!
I met Mary in 2021 when she was the head planner for my brother's wedding at Park Winters. I loved her style so much that I called her right after I got engaged because I wasn't having a wedding unless she was helping with it. It's impossible to enumerate everything, but here are some of the reasons I recommend Mary and Curated:
(1) Positive attitude - Wedding planning and wedding day are notoriously stressful. That was NOT my experience at all thanks to Mary. She is the bubbliest, friendliest person, so her automatic nature is to always see things on the positive side. That's the kind of person you want on your team when the choices, opinions, and to-do lists start to get overwhelming. Everytime we hit a planning roadblock, she'd quickly jump in (before I was able to panic) with great resolutions and a positive perspective. Day of the wedding, she was the biggest hype woman, too, making me feel like a queen and reminding me to soak up our special day.
(2) Attentive/responsive - There are a million moving pieces to wedding planning and Mary was on top of it all! She was super quick and thoughtful in responding to emails/texts. During the actual wedding, she was so attentive not only to me, but our entire family throughout the weekend. She always made sure we had our favorite drink in hand while dancing and checked-in on our parents nearly every 30 minutes to make sure everyone was at the right place/time and was having a great experience. We had a huge bridal party, and I was so impressed how Mary and all of her assistants (who I hadn't met before) showed up knowing people's names.
(3) Vast industry knowledge and vendor connections - We had a "partial" planning package where we met with Mary at least once a month during the 10-month planning process. I'm so glad we went with that package instead of a "day/month of" package because it meant we could leverage Mary's vast network and knowledge of wedding venues and vendors. We found incredible vendors within our budget that we probably wouldn't have found otherwise. And these were all people who already knew and loved working with Mary, making things extra smooth day of.
(4) 100% "team bride and groom" - You have to contend with a lot of other thoughts/opinions from family/friends/vendors about your wedding making it hard sometimes to stay true to the vision you and your partner have. Not on Mary's watch though! She fights for you and your partner and empowers you to push for the wedding YOU want. She takes extra care to get to know you, your vision, and your budget, too, and will be frank about whether something really adds value to a wedding experience.
(5) Super Organized - Mary and her team are the check-list queens from start to finish! Their planning checklist is so detailed, so you know nothing is going to be overlooked. On top of that she would send us monthly to-do lists (which turned into weekly as the date got closer) so we could prioritize and focus on the most important things.
I think everyone's goal is to hire vendors that are talented and top-notch professional in their business. Mary and Curated by Grace + White clear that hurdle and then some, but the added bonus is that they are truly a pleasure to work with. They are so down to earth, kind, thoughtful, and honestly so much fun to be around. Who doesn't want that type of energy for their big day? We're beyond grateful for the work Mary and Curated by Grace + White did for us and could not recommend them more!!!
Planning a wedding in Northern California from Los Angeles, my now husband Troy and I knew that hiring a wedding planner was an absolute must-have. We interviewed two different wedding planning companies, and immediately felt that Curated G+W could perfectly execute our clear vision of a timeless, classic, modern romantic wedding. We had an introductory call with Hannah Palmer, and booked soon after.
Hannah totally understood Troy and my style of wedding planning (i.e., easily overwhelmed and quick to get decision fatigue!). Troy and I booked Curated G+W a year plus before our wedding date, so Hannah was intentional with the items we tackled each month and she gave us ample notice when we would embark on new wedding planning boulders. She kept us level headed and above water while we also juggled our usual busy lives!
Hannah was also incredibly adaptable and was seamlessly able to navigate through the changes to our vision, budget, guest count, etc. Hannah was able to simultaneously propose several different plans so that we could weigh our options and make informed decisions. I also love that Hannah wasn’t afraid to give her true thoughts and opinions based on her industry expertise, which made it a lot easier to make tough decisions! I welcomed her input.
As we got closer and closer to the wedding, it took so much stress off our shoulders knowing Hannah was handling all vendor communications! It really helped us stay focused and prioritize not being in the trenches of emails/phone calls.
Hannah really went above and beyond as our wedding planner! Even handling things like getting a custom portrait I had commissioned of Troy and his siblings professionally printed, framed, and gift wrapped in Northern California so that it would be a surprise on our wedding day!
On the day of the wedding, I was 100% stress-free knowing that all our vendors would be arriving on time as she coordinated, any fires (I don’t think there were any!) would be handled by her and her team in the background, and all I had to focus on was marrying the love of my life!

I love Mary SO MUCH!!! If I could only write one review for my wedding, it would be for Mary and the whole Curated by Grace + White team. I cannot recommend them enough! Seriously, if you’re a bride to be, go send in your request to them now. You will not regret it. Throughout my entire vendor booking process, whenever someone asked who my coordinator was and I said Mary, they said “Oh, she’s the best.” I wholeheartedly agree!! I am actually sad that we don’t get to work together anymore now that the wedding is over; I loved our chats so much! I felt so taken care of by Mary at every step of the way. She and her team on the day of were complete rockstars. The day after our wedding, my husband commented on how incredibly professional and helpful the Curated by G+W team was. Anything you could possibly want on the day of your wedding, they had it there for you immediately! Sara, Mary and her team were the best team we could have asked for for our wedding. They planned and executed everything we asked and didn’t ask for and we had no worries at all on the wedding day. Sara and Mary took our vision from the many phone calls we had and executed flawlessly beyond our imagination. From selecting vendors to coordinating their arrivals or payments, made sure we had nothing to worry about throughout the process. We just had our wedding this past weekend and I'm compelled to write a review for Carrie. She was our DOC and really was so instrumental in our perfect wedding day. Throughout the whole planing process, she's been extremely responsive, organized, and reliable. She took over all of our vendor communication in the final weeks leading up to our wedding and made things super easy for us. We had a few small mishaps on the day of our wedding, and she handled them calmly and efficiently like they were no big deal at all. I went to a wedding recently where the wedding planner was running around like the place was on fire for no good reason, that stressed me out even though I was just a bridesmaid! So I really appreciated Carrie's easygoing and relaxed attitude, like she knew the day was gonna go perfectly from the beginning. if the other planners at Curated by Grace and White are anything like Carrie, I would highly recommend them with no reservations!
Sara and her team were beyond amazing! Sara came in during the last few months of planning and helped me take it all to the finish line! Having someone to bounce ideas off of and ask questions throughout the process was invaluable and her positive spirit was a dream to have on my side! Her day-of coordinating made everything run AHEAD of schedule the whole day. I cannot recommend Curated by G + W enough!
All the credit for why our wedding happened goes to Mary and her team. My wife and I hired their company for a day of coordinator so we could just enjoy the wedding day. However, Mary helped out so much more before the day by keeping our planning timeline on schedule, recommending amazing vendors, and filling in all the little details we would have never thought about. Then on wedding day she truly shined because the wife and I never had to think about anything! All the vendors worked well with her, guests and relatives went to Mary for questions, and she always had food/drinks ready for us so we were always fed! Also, it was funny to hear afterwards about all the little fires Mary put out and we were never bothered on the day! As the groom, Mary removed all the stress from planning and operating the wedding. Hiring her was easily the best choice of the wedding and I would without hesitation hire her again for any event I have. Thank you, Mary! You made our day truly amazing
Sara and her team at Curated by Grace and White went above and beyond and came through for us when we needed it most - you will be so glad you decided to go with her! Just a few things she helped us with through our 12 months together:
-Great organization/note taking - this was very key as our venue was difficult to deal with and not very detail oriented. Sara was able to correct any inaccuracies quickly and kept everything on track.
-Vision - Sara was able to interpret the ideas of our dream wedding day. Every wedding is unique and we had a very specific vision. Sara was so collaborative throughout the vendor selection and gave us a thorough checklist of all the small details.
-Day of issues - Sara will handle EVERYTHING on your wedding day; she did stuff we didn't even know about until after the wedding that honestly averted a few crises that were caused by our venue. She also drove us around in her car to all the places for photos so we didn't have to rely on anyone else. It is hard to put into words just how much she helps and how hard she works for her clients throughout the journey but especially on the wedding day.
-She handled all the vendor interaction on the wedding day and made sure everything was set up correctly and even made last minute changes that enhanced the entire experience.
-Sara helped talk us through some issues we had with other vendors throughout the planning process and provided guidance and empathy to get through the stressful parts of planning a wedding.
Sara is also just a great human being and we felt so lucky to have here - honestly having someone you trust running the show on your wedding day is key and Sara is absolutely worth it! Besides the essential day of services that her team provided, we cannot express how much she helped us the months leading up. Let's face it, planning a wedding can be stressful and Sara was able to help with all the nerves.

Hiring Mary and With Grace & Love Events was hands down the BEST decision we made for our wedding day (and the best money spent too!). Mary and her team were extremely communicative, responsive, and made sure that every last detail about our wedding day was perfect! They were so adaptable when our 200 person wedding in a large venue space was shrunk due to COVID down to a 50 person, backyard wedding. They made our wedding feel absolutely magical! Sara and her team were absolutely incredible. We had to postpone three times because of COVID and would not have survived the last two years without this team. When we started the wedding planning process, my then fiancé was iffy about needing hiring a wedding planning team and to this day he tells everyone that the best wedding decision we made was hiring Sara and her team. My husband and I do not live in the area so we relied on Sara to guide us throughout the process and she exceeded every single one of our expectations. She made herself available via call/text whenever I had a question or needed to vent about wedding stress, communicated with all vendors for us, and even negotiated with the venue for us during a crazy year. Even on the wedding day, I was incredibly anxious and having Sara around made me feel better because I knew she was organized, on top of everything and knew how to handle any situation that may come up. Our wedding day was perfect and such a dream.. none of which would have happened as smoothly as it did without Sara. I gained a friend in Sara over the last few years and one of the sadder moments of the wedding finally happening is not texting/emailing with Sara everyday! I can't recommend Sara enough. Mary was incredible. We hired her as a day of coordinator, but she was so much more than that. She helped with every little detail, from offering to pick us up lunch the day of the wedding to managing every little detail to making sure we got refunds from vendors when contracts were updated.
Though we hired WGL to do our day-of coordination, our communication with Mary began weeks, even months out. I started texting / emailing with her in December 2018 (our wedding was in May 2019) regarding the timeline and other details. She was always quick to respond and helpful despite it being so far out. She was also great about suggesting vendors based on individuals / companies she had worked with before, all the while being conscious of our budget.
Leading up to the wedding, for all the tiny little details that inevitably came up, Mary was lightning fast to respond and managed to ease our many concerns. A couple of areas where we thought she went above and beyond the call of duty for day-of coordination services:
-Calling hotels on our behalf to open up more rooms when our original blocks filled up faster than expected
-Suggesting hair artists when I left it to the last minute to book one
-Immediately suggesting a plan B when my husband's tuxedo order got messed up by the rental company (which we did end up using because they messed it up more than once), and following up a few times to make sure we were squared away here
-Checking the weather like a hawk and coming up with multiple plans when it showed it was going to rain on our wedding day; this includes shopping for, and rush ordering (on two days' notice) ~60 or so clear umbrellas to her house and bringing them for us
In short, she was amazing and I give her nothing but the highest recommendation. Mary is ultra prepared and thorough, and there's no better feeling than the 100% confidence she gives you that your wedding day is handled!!
We hired Mary our coordinator over the phone as we were getting married a few hours from where we lived and could make it out to interview her in person. Once we did meet at our venue walk through we knew we had made the right choice ! We hired her for day of coordination however she had happily assisted us with vendor recommendations and other questions long before then. About two months before the wedding she really stepped in to help us pull everything together. Mary had so many helpful suggestions and was awesome when it came to coordinating all our other vendors. I loved how she included us in all her emails to them so we always knew what was going on without having to do it ourselves. Our wedding day went flawlessly. She always seemed to be around and I don’t think a single thing went wrong. She even drove one of my bridesmaids home after her uber cancelled at the end of the night, which was just so awesome and above and beyond. She has a great bubbly personality and was so easy to talk to. She definitely made me feel less stressed and I am so happy we had her on our big day !
Mary from With Grace & Love was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, never hesitating to go above and beyond my expectations to make sure I had what I needed. She was always available, even for the simplest questions at obscure times and helped keep me in check with things that were actually important vs details I shouldn't worry about. On the day of my wedding, she was calm, quickly solved any hiccups and never once made me worry about anything. We felt so completely taken care of by her and her team. I could go on and on about how wonderful they were, but the bottom line is that I HIGHLY recommend With Grace & Love Events!
Hiring Sara, the owner of With Grace & Love Events, as our planner for my July 2017 wedding was the SINGLE BEST DECISION my husband and I made during our wedding planning process. We were initially EXTREMELY hesitant to hire a planner for various reasons, mainly -- 1) We wanted to minimize extraneous costs wherever possible, and 2) I really thought I could probably handle things myself come wedding day. We chose the day-of coordination package, but Sara want SO far beyond the call of duty for our package it isn't even funny. She was involved in nearly every aspect of our wedding in the countdown towards the big day, and COMPLETELY took the reins in the final weeks -- leaving me, my husband, my parents and bridal party to simply show up to our wedding, be fully present in every moment, and enjoy the day to its absolute fullest. She was worth every single penny spent, and then some (and even SAVED us a ton of cash by putting us in contact with some incredible vendors we would have had no idea about otherwise).
Wedding day: My husband and I truly felt like first class guests at our own wedding. All we had to do was show up to the most perfectly executed event I have ever seen, and have a blast. The end. SARA HANDLED EVERYTHING. SARA THINKS OF EVERYTHING. (And when I say everything, I mean everything -- and she'll think of it and handle it before you even have a chance to.) Example: It's 5 minutes before garter/bouquet toss time, and I'm not wearing a garter. Sara brings me my toss garter to put on just in time! How did she know I forgot to put it on? How did she know where my garter was? When did she even go to find it in between being a wedding magic maker all night?!
Example #2: I am too excited to eat my lunch all afternoon long (bad idea). After I came back from taking pre-ceremony photos, there is a plate of pizza waiting for me on the counter, cut up into bite size pieces so I wouldn't ruin my lipstick..... and she was sweet enough to make time to do this, while setting up our entire reception hall to perfection.
SARA LITERALLY KNOWS ALL, DOES ALL, AND MAKES IT LOOK EFFORTLESS. Her intuition for the wedding industry is uncanny. Any meeting or conversation with her is like catching up with an amazing friend. It is literally impossible to be stressed out or nervous in her presence. She somehow flawlessly meshes with anyone of any personality type that exists. She carries herself with such profound poise -- "With Grace and Love" couldn't be more accurate.
After seeing her in action firsthand making the ultimate wedding magic happen, every single one of my bridesmaids is now proclaiming that the second they get engaged, the very first call they will make is to With Grace & Love.
I fully attribute the absolute crazy success of our wedding day to Sara and her team (shoutout to Mary, her WONDERFUL assistant who kept me having a blast all morning). I could quite literally go on and on until I have written a Harry Potter-sized novel singing Sara's & WGL's praises -- and this is only because I feel so, so strongly about her abilities, and the tremendous worth she added to my wedding day.
