Curated Events provided all of the rentals for our wedding day, and we couldn’t have been happier with the results! Everything was absolutely beautiful, creating the perfect setting for our celebration. Their team was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout the planning process, making sure every detail was taken care of. We trusted their vision, and they truly brought it to life flawlessly. We highly recommend Curated Events to anyone looking for a dependable and talented team to handle their event rentals. They made our day unforgettable!
We worked with a few folks at Curated and they were all great!! They were helpful, organized, thorough, courteous, all the wonderful things. We ended up using 5 different companies for our rentals, and even if we were to do it all over again. I would pick Curated over and over! They also have a really great selection of rentals!
Curated Events had a gorgeous show room with lots of traditional and unique options! They have a great selection for all your event needs and fair prices. We had an issue with some of the ceremony chairs and everyone was quick to resolve and happy to help. The tablecloth we got through them was one of our favorite pieces of decor for the wedding!

Best selection of decor, lighting and tableware that we could have asked for! And the staff is so kind and helpful. We had some questions concerning measurements for some lighting so they even did a quick venue site visit with us to make sure everything was going to be perfect! Couldn't recommend them more.
BY FAR THE WORST WEDDING PLANNING COMPANY A BRIDE COULD EVER ASK FOR. Do not hire. I do not even know where to begin with how horrible this company is. Let's start from the beginning...Ooh Events does a very good job at sucking you in and thinking they are good at wedding planning by emailing you nonstop until you sign their agreement. The second you sign their agreement, your wedding planner will go MIA. They do not care to contact you or even reply to any of your emails until the week before your wedding. So again, why even hire them if they are not helping "plan your wedding" which is why a bride hires a "wedding planner". My wedding planner unfortunately happened to be Carissa Wynne. She is by far the absolute worst planner I could have ever asked for, I wish we could have fired her but I had to have someone there the day of my wedding to at least somewhat help out. She was the sole and only stress to my entire wedding planning process. No other vendor or factor to wedding planning stressed me out besides my own wedding planner herself- Carissa Wynne. Along with Carissa, the other members of the team who are beyond not helpful is her assistant Annie Norris who I did not even know existed until the month before the wedding, Alyssa DiPino who attempted to take over for Carissa being so MIA, and the operations manager that I had to complain to and try to get to help fix the chaos of my wedding planning Tasha Eady. They probably helped for 1 day to get me satisfied with the horrbile customer service they had been providing, but ultimately became just like Carissa. Again, where do I even begin with the stress that Carissa caused. I ended up planning my entire wedding myself, it took 50 emails to get 1 response back, she is impossible to get ahold of by phone so don't even try, she is completely unorganized, every design contract she sent me was wrong so she had to send back over the course of 6 months about 50 different times and every time was still WRONG, I had to talk to 2 different managers at Ooh Events (neither of which was helpful) to even get someone to email me back regarding everything that was wrong with my contracts that Carissa created. On my wedding day, Carissa was no where to be found from the dinner portion of the evening to the remainder of the night. Half the items I paid for on my design contract from her was not set up or decorated. The guests were not told when things were happening or where to go. It was embarrassing and total chaos. the microphone for my officiant during the wedding ceremony was not working and Carissa was. no where to be found to help get it fixed. If I was a wedding planner and the bride had just walked down the aisle and the officiant's microphone was not working to begin the ceremony, I would have been running to the vendor immediately to help get this fixed asap, instead we stood at the alter awkwardly with all our guests wondering what was happening for a good 10 minutes. I really regret using Ooh Events for my wedding day and wedding planning process and they were the sole stress of my process of wedding planning as the bride. They completely ruined my wedding planning process and ruined my entire wedding day. Brides- do not use them.
My experience with Amanda was nothing short of perfect. She understood my style immediately and was so knowledgeable on how to elevate every detail of the day. She communicated and advocated on my behalf with every vendor and she made me feel confident in navigating through the planning process and was a constant source of support. Amanda consistently went above and beyond and never settled for less than perfection. Our day wouldn’t have been what it was without her!
Before hiring this company, we hope you will look at the reviews and request a specific planner by name. Most, if not all, of the well-reviewed planners for Ooh Events left when they sold out to a national company. Unfortunately, the roles have been filled with an inexperienced and overwhelmed staff. Working with Ooh Events became so bad that we attempted to be released from our contract after months of unreturned calls and emails. They offered a discount which enticed us to stay, but what a mistake that became. A few reasons for our review: There were countless unanswered calls, emails, and texts. They forgot multiple rental details, including glassware for the bar until the month prior. They constantly changed quoted prices without telling us. A transportation bus was canceled on the day before the event without our knowledge. We had to negotiate our own contracts with vendors after finding multiple mistakes. The planner was late for our rehearsal. Even crazier, they forgot to set up a coffee bar (over $300 worth) during the wedding and Ooh Events will take no responsibility or offer a refund. Their “Full-service” option provided nothing of value and we felt like they pushed us into using their own companies. There are so many amazing planners in Charleston and we couldn’t be more disappointed with Ooh Events. It seems like we aren’t the only ones who feel that way either – as many of the vendors agreed with us on the difficulty of using Ooh Events, and they were even taken off as a preferred wedding planner from Boone Hall plantation.
We hired Ooh! Events for our Charleston Wedding for planning and rentals. They did a fantastic job with communication and providing us with all of our requests! Alyssa DiPino was a fantastic planner and on the day of she truly allowed for everything to go perfectly! I recommend this company for all your planning and rental needs!

I am the Mother of the Bride and we are not from the Charleston area. Contracting with Ohh Events was the best decision we ever made. We used all of their in-house services and vendors. Our coordinator was Amanda Smick. Amanda worked with our daughter and son-in-law to plan and coordinate all the vendors and provided the wedding of their dreams. Amanda was fantastic, professional and a delight to work with. No question, detail or request went unaddressed.
Ohh Events entire staff (namely make up artist Blair and hair stylist Linsley) and vendors were professional, timely and bent over backwards to accommodate us.
Thank you Ohh Events for everything. We will never forget the weekend.
I had literally no stress or worries at my wedding because of Ooh! Events. Isabel, who was my day of coordinator was absolutely amazing to work with! She was so kind, and truly made me feel at ease when it came to my big day! She was so accommodating and truly was the best! I also worked with Sara early on in my wedding planning days, and she helped make my vision come true! I can also credit her with finding the most amazing table linens in the entire world, and that transformed the look of my entire wedding! I highly recommend Ooh! Events and their team! They have such a great selection of rentals and they are just a dream to work with!
First off this is corporately owned not local. Terrible service and the worst communication I have had to endure. 7 weeks out and we are being threatened to take down a bad review and sent a 3 page legal document. Stay clear of this company they are absolutely terrible.

Ooh! Events was such an amazing company to work with. Having event coordination, floral and rentals all in one place made the entire process a breeze and it was so fun to get to go to their office and personally pick all of our wedding decor; but the best thing about Ooh! is HANDS DOWN Emily Parham. She is everything we could've wanted in a wedding planner and more. The entire wedding went off without a single issue and was the most perfect day. Emily and Isabel not only handled everything that popped up but also planned for things that could come up (example: making the most amazing feather jacket seemingly materialize out of thin air when it got cold and I hadn't thought to get a jacket period, let alone one that would match my dress). I am so happy to have met Emily and now call her a friend. You need her and the entire Ooh! team on your vendor list 1,000,000%
We used Ooh! Events as part of our rental team for our wedding and absolutely loved everything they provided. Our wedding planners, Pure Luxe Bride, works with them all the time and it is clear why they do. They did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life and highly recommend them!
Hannah at OOH Events was our AMAZING wedding coordinator and we cannot recommend her highly enough! After foregoing our original destination wedding plans last year, we were feeling a little dejected about the idea of planning something new and worried that it would be impossible to have even a small celebration that respected Covid-19 guidelines. Hannah helped with all of that and more, and her upbeat and positive attitude made what we thought would be a daunting process feel like fun! She left no detail unturned, helped facilitate our vision for the weekend, and coordinated everything so seamlessly. The wedding went off without a hitch because of Hannah - she is truly talented at what she does and a complete joy to work with! The flowers from OOH Events/Out of the Garden were stunning and completely surpassed every expectation! We were also so impressed by the precautions OOH events and Hannah were taking with regard to Covid-19 and appreciated how those same precautions were communicated to the various vendors. We could not have been in better hands and we have Hannah and OOH events to thank for such a magical wedding weekend - we can't recommend them both enough. Madison and Neil Alger.

I hired Ooh! Events for design and coordination as well as rentals for my October wedding at Lowndes Grove. As a COVID-19 bride, I fully anticipated a stressful planning process, but Ooh! Events and specifically Emily Parham, my planner, took all the stress and worry off my shoulders. Leading up to the wedding, no question was too frivolous to shoot her an email about and she was so great about sending helpful reminders about when I had upcoming vendor payments. She also TOTALLY NAILED the design aesthetic I was going for from the start! We tweaked maybe one or two things but otherwise it was absolutely perfect, and she came up with ideas I either had never thought of or didn’t know was possible. However, our actual wedding day is where I believe Emily and her assistant Caroline shone brightest and earned MVP status in my heart forever. The forecast was showing rain right around our ceremony time (which was outdoors) and Emily kept me up to date on the forecast and suggested we start with cocktail hour and then do the ceremony once it cleared. I was good with that but when there seemed to be a break in the clouds, Emily suggested we get the ceremony in and instead do two half-hour cocktail hours. Everything worked out great and my husband and I actually got time alone before the ceremony to eat hors d’oeuvres. I knew there were several hiccups during the reception as well but only because I saw Emily and her team handling them before they ever became an issue. In the midst of handling all these things, Emily kept in constant communication with me to ensure my husband and I always had a full/chilled glass of whatever we wanted to drink, something to eat and that we got to do everything we wanted at our reception. I absolutely credit her with the success and beauty of our wedding and am so thankful to her and Ooh! Events for making our wedding dreams a reality.
Our original wedding date was 6/6/2020, our rescheduled date was 9/26/2020, our attempted re-re-scheduled date was 10/21/2021. We had vendor contracts locked in, then fall through due to COVID and were left scrambling for replacements. Through it all, OohEvents was there for us in helping us work with all of our vendors, and pulling together a scaled down vision for our nuptials. With the help of Sara G. and Hannah S., we had a micro-wedding on 9/26/2020 on a hotel rooftop in downtown Charleston. The design they pulled together was by far, much better than our original vision and i wouldn't change a thing - i told them then, and i would say it again, they CRUSHED IT!!! Sara G. was incredibly professional and flexible when it came to all of our hurdles, and we couldn't thank her enough for helping us through it all. Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us make our micro wedding feel like the real thing!
Emily, our wedding coordinator, her assistant, Caroline, and Ooh Events are the BEST! We booked our daughter’s wedding for October 10, 2020 in April 2019, way back when the only thing we had to worry about was a hurricane. 😊 Emily guided us through challenging times and ensured Rachel and Eric had the wedding of their dreams. She quickly rescheduled our floral, rental, and tasting sessions after the initial COVID-19 shutdown and kept things on track. Just when we thought everything was going to be “smooth sailing” Mother Nature had her say with some significant rain. We were so incredibly impressed by Emily’s professionalism and calm, collected demeanor on the big day. She quickly orchestrated a major reconfiguration of the reception area, rearranged the schedule to take advantage of a small window of opportunity to conduct the ceremony outdoors as planned, and ensured the wedding party and guests were kept informed of changes. Thanks to the amazing efforts of Emily, Caroline and the entire Ooh Events crew, the wedding ceremony, and reception, were indeed magical despite many challenges.

My wife, Emma, and I had the pleasure of working with Erin Altman from Ooh! Events for our wedding last April (2019), which took place at the William Aiken House in Charleston.
My only regret is not writing this review sooner, but I suppose Ferris was right when he said life moves pretty fast.
Erin absolutely knocked it out of the park in planning our wedding. I have never before—or since—had a more positive professional experience than the one I had with Ooh! Events thanks to Erin.
The planning process began with a few emails and telephone calls, and from there Erin spent plenty of time getting to know me and Emma, developing an understanding about what we were envisioning for our wedding, and making sure we understood the planning timeline down to a T—making an otherwise stressful process a fun and easy one.
She was so responsive and easy to work with throughout the entire process, and truly catered to us in all regards. Erin had every little detail covered, which I cannot stress enough. And when the time came for our big day, she went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our wedding was perfect. While I ordinarily wouldn’t include a detail like this in a review, I feel it’s worth mentioning that Erin was in the late stages of pregnancy on our wedding day, and I truly marveled at how effortlessly she seemed to be everywhere at once – making sure that our guests had the time of their lives, and that our wedding matched our vision entirely.
As far as Ooh! Events goes, the entire staff was friendly, warm, and welcoming at all times, and they are really a fun group. One of the most enjoyable experiences for us was going to their warehouse and hand selecting furniture and décor for our wedding. Their warehouse is FULL of any and everything you could possibly imagine—I kid you not, Joanna Gaines would be jealous of all the options they have for brides and grooms to choose from.
Also, above and beyond the various things Erin did as our wedding planner, Emma and I really enjoyed getting to know Erin through the planning process, and I can honestly tell you as I sit here a year and a half later, I miss all the fun we had planning our big day with Erin (and I’m the HUSBAND saying all this!!!! Lol).
Erin Altman is a tremendous wedding planner, a consummate professional, and she and her employer, Ooh! Events, are second to none in the wedding-planning industry.
But I’ll finish by saying this: Good people are too few and far between, and above all else, Erin is a great person. We are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her and Ooh! Events, and would recommend her/their services without hesitation for anyone planning a wedding in the area. Worth every penny, 5 stars, 10/10, the absolute best!

Our wedding was PERFECT because of Ooh! Events and Emily! We truly could not have asked for a better day to get married. Between busy schedules and a crazy year, we were so grateful to have Emily guiding us through every step of the planning process. We met with her to plan our florals and rental decor (we used Ooh! rentals and Out of Hand florals as well) and having everything integrated made planning a breeze. They have excellent taste and kept up with all of my changing plans with ease. On our wedding day, Emily had put together a detailed timeline and everything went off without a hitch!! Our whole day was absolutely breathtaking and I have received so many positive comments about how amazing everything was from start to finish.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Emily and Ooh! Events! My wedding day was an absolute dream. If you are considering them, just go ahead and book! You will not regret it!!
Emily and Ooh Events were the perfect choice for our Charleston wedding. Emily thought of EVERYTHING and I so appreciated her making the day absolutely seamless. It is comical to think of how I would have faired without a planner like Emily, especially as an out of state bride. Our entire planning experience leading up to the big day was so pleasant. There was never pressure to choose certain things based on $ and Emily was more than willing to make adjustments in order to fit our budget. Ooh has their own in-house rentals and florals, which kept everything simple. As an out of state bride, having Emily guide me with vendor recommendations was such a time saver and I felt sure we would get quality people based on her experiences. I will forever recommend Ooh! Events to all of my friends and family!! They are truly a one stop shop which takes so much stress away during wedding planning. Ooh! Events handled our rentals, design, coordination and floral for our wedding and everything was PERFECT. Emily was our wedding planner and kept us informed every step of the way. Planning a wedding during a global pandemic was rough but Emily constantly let us know of the ever changing rules and had a solution to everything and every issue that arose! She really saved the day when our original videographer canceled on us less than 48 hours before our wedding. Within HOURS (and very early in the morning!) Emily was on the phone with us and potential new vendors trying to book a new videographer. All of our rentals and flowers were BEAUTIFUL and exactly what we envisioned. Ooh! Events truly took care of every single little detail. Even things we didn't realize we wanted or needed! From having our ceremony and reception go off without a hitch (which is a miracle in itself), to having Emily and Caroline pack our "to-go" bags in our getaway vehicle so we wouldn't forget anything, to even making sure we had ice cold drinks all night long, we were in the best hands with Ooh!. Hiring this team was one of the best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding planning process.
Working with Emily at Ooh! Events was such a great experience and helped our wedding planning process go along so smoothly! Emily was great and easy to work with! She was great at communicating and getting back with us quickly. We were pains and had a lot of items for the wedding that we were providing ourselves as well and Emily was great about letting us have them shipped to her or bring them by so she had everything in one place. We were planning our wedding from Columbia, SC to be at Boone Hall in Mt. Pleasant and having her to help was a life saver. We not only used Emily as our wedding coordinator, but Ooh! Events as our decor rental and through them used Out of the Garden for florals. It was a one stop shop that completely simplified everything.
At our rehearsal she was great in keeping everyone, particularly the groomsmen, in line - and was even better at keeping everyone in line and everything running smoothly the day of! I had a clothing change during the reception and Emily was great at speeding me away at just the right time and helping me to change quickly and getting me back to the party. At the end of the night she did an amazing job making sure all of our personal items that we provided made it back on the trolley with my parents too.
I could not recommend Emily and Ooh! Events enough! It was a pleasure working with her and I can’t thank her enough for all she did to help our big day go so smoothly.
My husband and I had a few challenges in planning our wedding. All of our family is from MA and we traveled to Charleston on vacation and have been back numerous times since. So we had a complete destination wedding which was planned primarily via emails and phone calls. It was nerve wracking to plan from a far and have a vision that I wasn't sure would be brought to life. I worked with Emily from Ooh Events and she was incredible to work with. She made the whole process seamless. On our wedding day my husband and I were absolutely blown away with how she brought our vision together. She completely understood the direction we wanted to go and took it to another level. Our wedding day was an absolute dream thanks to Emily and the whole Ooh Events team. Do not hesitate to use them to plan your wedding. I am 100% certain that it will be beyond imagination for you as well.
There isn't enough space in this field for me to type all of the things I loved about my experience with Ooh! Events. First, I interviewed 9 wedding planning companies in Charleston and asked various questions, compared prices and ultimately made my decision to hire Ooh! Events. Something they had, that no one else had, was helpful software (Aisle Planner) that allowed me to track planning progress digitally and not have to constantly ask when things were done, or where executed contracts were, etc. Additionally, their team was very knowledgeable, without ever making me feel like a dumb bride or getting annoyed with me for asking questions; they never assumed I knew what they were talking about and always explained things in detail so I had a full grasp on status. The planning process leading up to the day was seamless and FUN! On the day of, I laugh at how disconnected to everything I was, yet how amazing everything turned out - it was like it just appeared before my eyes. I would recommend any planner at Ooh! Events, but I would be remiss if I didn't shout out and completely praise my extraordinary planner, Emily P. Emily is now literally one of my favorite people. I'm naturally an extrovert and I've always been good at relationship building, but Emily became a fast friend and resource within our first hour of ever talking (she was assigned to me by Shea, who I interviewed!) She is witty, smart, funny, and her vibe / expertise instantly makes you calm even if you're freaking out. I'm normally a "do not call me, text or email" operator, so between emails, texts and the times we'd chat on the phone, she never missed ONE detail. On calls, I would just ramble, and then get an email within an hour of hanging up of everyting we talked about - it was IMPRESSIVE. Speaking of rambling, I'm doing it now.. so I'll end with, I did all the work for you by interviewing 9 planning companies in CHS. Ooh! wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive and they/Emily were worth every penny and then some. Hire them ASAP!
I decided to work with Emily Parham and Ooh Events because I was planning the wedding from Alaska, and they are a “one stop shop”. They have rentals, florals, wedding coordination and more! I chose to do the 60 day out wedding coordination and that really worked out well! With Emily helping with everything the day of the wedding, I felt so at ease and chill...I felt like a bride that didn’t have a worry in the world. Everything turned out exactly how my husband and I planned and I could not be happier with Ooh Events! With their partner, Out of the Garden, my favorite was the floral arch that they put together. I chose an arch and they made it happen, it was beautiful! Thank you to Emily, Ooh Events, and Out of The Garden for helping my dream wedding come true.
Ooh Events in Charleston, SC made planning my daughter’s destination wedding go so smoothly. Our planner, Shea Colbert, was so knowledgeable and truly amazing to work with. Thirteen months of planning and coordinating with Shea’s guidance resulted in a beautiful and magical wedding weekend at The William Aiken House, despite needing to go to Plan B due to horrific weather.
Shea never missed a beat and her attention to detail was impeccable. Her recommendations for vendors was perfect and saved us so much time. I highly recommend Ooh Events and Shea Colbert. They added so much to our awesome wedding weekend.
We hired Ooh! for full service planning since I live in NYC and my wedding was in Charleston, SC. They were excellent, detail-oriented, and personal from the very first phone call where I discussed my ideas for the wedding to the actual day. Our coordinator, Shea, was the absolute best. In addition to being so kind and friendly, she made me feel completely at ease planning from afar. She was responsive, reliable, and navigated any issue or problem that arose quickly and painlessly. She provided guidance in a way that helped me create an atmosphere for the wedding even better than I could have hoped for. While the weather for our event was not as expected (upper 30s and rainy), she was able to improvise and talk my family and I through all our options in a way that we felt calm and relaxed the whole time. I truly cannot recommend Ooh! and Shea highly enough!
I’m very happy I chose Ooh Events for my wedding this past October. Emily was my coordinator and she was fantastic. She was always responsive, reliable, and very detail oriented. She was so helpful at wrapping up all the fine details of things from the day of timeline to the last minute group transportation we needed. At the beginning she was able to offer suggestions and recommendations which all proved to be helpful for us especially since we were planning a wedding from a different state. We used Ooh to supply most of the furniture and decor for our wedding - and it turned out amazing. The storeroom is gigantic and opens up WORLDS of possibilities, but after choosing our selection and putting it all together, our wedding turned out perfect beyond our expectations. Our guests felt comfortable in the chairs, commented on the perfection of the dance floor, and enjoyed spending their time in the lounges. We cannot tell you how much we appreciate Ooh helping to carry out our vision perfectly. Highly reccomend!
I worked with Ooh! Events to plan/execute my May 2019 wedding. I was an out-of-town bride, and this was the best decision I made in the planning process. Having rentals, florals and coordination through one company is very helpful because they all share information and ideas. As an out-of-town bride, I really relied on the Ooh! team and I was very happy with every aspect of the process. Emily Parham was my day-of coordinator, and Emily is INCREDIBLE. She was super responsive during the planning process and made it very easy to plan the wedding from afar. Emily has great taste and brought my vision to life. Emily also is very relaxed and just gets things done - which really paired well with my style. I trusted her completely and knew if any issue came up, Emily would handle it and make everything perfect. Her day-of assistant, Mia, was also great and I'm so glad we all worked together. We had a perfect wedding (and wedding planning experience). A huge thank you to the Ooh! team and Emily and Mia for such a fun experience. I'd love to throw another party just to work with them again!

My Wife and I got married at the William Aiken House in Charleston, SC over memorial day weekend and could not have done it without Emily Parham at ooh events. She was absolutely incredible to work with from start to finish and was always extremely thoughtful of all our needs. Her creativity working with my wife's vision turned out to be absolutely stunning on our wedding day. Leading up to the wedding and on the day of the wedding, there was never anything we felt like we had to worry about with Emily and ooh events at the wheel. People are still raving over a month later about how beautiful all the decorations were and how smooth the whole night went. That is a huge testament to the wedding planning abilities and all the décor ooh events has to offer. At the end of the day Emily is your employee but by the end of it, she feels like a friend who wants to see your special day be everything and more. Ooh Events and Emily Parham made our wedding a completely stress free experience. All the girls there have incredible taste and I felt 100% comfortable with Emily. I knew she would handle everything just as I would. The team at Ooh Events was hyper-organized, well connected in the industry, and allowed me to be as hands-on (or off) as I wanted. They have the largest selection of rentals and flowers and were so accommodating to any budget concerns I had. Someone once told me: "You should pick the planner you feel is your best friend--someone you can cry in front of, laugh with, and tell anything to." And Emily was just that. Shea Colbert with Ooh! Events was honestly the best money we spent on our entire wedding!!! We hired her and her team for our design and day of coordination and she truly brought all of our dreams for our wedding day to life. I was in tears when I walked into our venue on the day of because it was more beautiful than I could have even imagined. Throughout the entire day Shea was great about keeping us on schedule. During the reception she checked to see if we needed drinks and then grabbed us food without asking so we could sit down and actually enjoy our meal-- she even remembered that I am a vegetarian. Shea is an absolute sweetheart and we are so lucky she was a part of our day!!!

I had such a great experience using Erin at Ooh! for my rentals. She did such a great job with making my vision come to life and was so responsive and flexible when I made any changes. She was also super understanding of my lower budget and stretched my dollar very far! With wedding planning being so stressful, Ooh! and rentals was one less thing I had to worry about, because I was confident it was being taken care of.
I love Ooh! Events because they have literally the coolest rentals ever!!!!!!!! We just recently got married at Old Roberds Dairy Farm and had Ooh! Events rentals for pretty much every rental besides linens and loved everything!!! They are easy to work with -- I probably changed my proposal 500 times but Lorita was always patient with me and changed everything for me. I loved the way everything looked and it was literally perfect! Highly recommend!!!!!!
Where do I even start! First let me start by saying our venue required a wedding planner that was not a guest. When I heard this I was disappointed as I thought I could do it all myself. That being said I am beyond THRILLED they required this and could not have done it without Erin from Ooh Events.
From the start the process was so fun and exciting. Erin was so easy to talk to and understood my vision from day 1. We are from Boston and got married in Charleston and it was so helpful to have someone in the area to help us plan. As we couldn't meet in person often we did most of the planning via phone/email and it was seamless.
The thing that really took Ooh Events to the next level was their amazing warehouse full of things to rent. It seems silly to buy things (decorations etc) that you will only use once and then not know what to do with them post wedding. The warehouse and rentals took all of this stress away. They had so many cool things to pick from that made our wedding really unique. Not to mention it was great to get the linens etc all from the same place and not have to deal with multiple vendors.
I love being organized and Erin took that to the next level. Having a timeline planned out to the minute for our wedding day made everything run flawlessly. We felt like a queen and king on our wedding day. Erin was always one step ahead of me, even when it came to needing a glass of champagne. It was truly 5 star service, from making us each a plate of food, to sewing my dress back together when the strap popped off I cannot say enough good things!! I felt my only job on our wedding day was to relax and have fun and without Erin and Ooh Events this would not have been possible. Some of the vendors I barely even spoke with and they just showed up and did their job perfectly all thanks to Erin.
Looking back I could not imagine our wedding without a planner. And If you are looking for a planner look no further. Ooh Events and Erin exceeded all of my expectations. Not only did we have the wedding of our dreams but we gained a friend in Erin who we hope to keep in touch with forever.

Hiring Ooh! as our coordinator was one of the best decisions we made during the whole wedding process. They are knowledgeable, very helpful, and caring throughout the entire process! We worked with Emily, who was a complete God send. She was so easy to work with and helped us in every way possible - from designing the best floor plan for us to adding in last-minute needs at the reception. Her and Candice made sure everything ran smoothly the entire day and I will truly miss working with them!
Working with Ooh was hands down the best decision we made when it came to planning my wedding. Candice was nothing less than professional and outstanding. I worked with Lorita for my April wedding and she was beyond fabulous! I love their selection of unique ballroom chairs, lounge, and decor! I highly recommend using ooh! and make sure to work with Lorita! She is so thorough!
Ooh! Events was very professional and quick to respond to emails. We rented a sign to pointed the direction to the wedding and one that says "Choose a seat not a side, we're all family once the knot is tied" and the calligraphy on both of them were very pretty. They were very reasonably priced too.
We only had 4 weeks to plan the perfect wedding in downtown Charleston, and Erin, at OOH Events, made my daughter's wedding day everything that we had hoped for. Erin was informed about everything we needed, attentive, punctual, and friendly. We highly recommend her, and OOH Events.
Ooh Events and Rentals helped to coordinate, design, organize, decorate and manage our daughter's November wedding! It was a great process from start to finish. Our planner, Erin, was fabulous! We used Ooh! Events for rentals, florals and day of coordinator for our wedding at Boone Hall in Sept 2016. I do not live in Charleston, but I was able to easily work with the team at Ooh! via email & phone to plan everything. Ooh! has a large and wonderful selection of rentals and decor items. Visiting their warehouse was one of the funnest vendor meetings we had. Lisa and the team are quick to reply and will work with you to deliver the wedding of your dreams.
The highlight was working with our coordinator Candice Beaty. She is SO full of energy and her styling ability & esthetic is on point!! I felt 110% comfortable letting her handle everything! We got to start working together 60 days prior to the wedding as part of my package. I wish I had used her for the whole process vs just a "day of coordinator". Candice is the kind of person you will want be friends with outside of the entire wedding process because she is amazing!
Overall our experience was wonderful. The only critique I had was that the florals were not as fresh as I had expected. Some flowers were wilting and the florals provided for our cake were a disappointment. It was fairly hot & Candice made sure the day was a dream, so the small details really didn't affect our experience much!
Ooh events was great! Very responsive and easy to work with. Lorita is a delight! The rentals were all beautiful. We had an issue in our contract and she immediately fixed it. She was even so great that I was emailing her for a month with hair and make up ideas before I remembered that Lisa was my artist and Lorita was with my rentals. She was giving me detailed responses with ideas! What a sweetheart!
Candice Lorraine at Ooh Events went above and beyond my expectations! She was a God Send. She got me and our vision in the first moments of meeting with her. She understood what we wanted and executed flawlessly. She has a great design aesthetic and I knew I could totally trust her and her opinion. She is an amazing combination of fun and bossy. Which you will definitely need on your wedding day!!! She helped keep me stress free throughout the process. She is impressively organized, which put ours minds at ease that no detail would be overlooked. There were a lot of moving parts at our wedding bc it was a blended Indian and Christian ceremony and she nailed it. Working with Ooh Events was like a fairytale turned into a nightmare. Our wedding was set for 10/9/16, when Hurricane Matthew was anticipated to cause damage and flooding in Charleston. We had planned an intimate destination ceremony/dinner with family and rented decorations and ordered floral arrangements. By Wednesday (10/5) of the week before, both of our families' hotels cancelled their rooms and refunded because of the impending hurricane. All flights were cancelled by the airlines and refunded in full. The Governor of SC had requested evacuation of residents by Thursday (10/6) and plans were made to reverse the interstate going into Charleston. I tried calling Ooh! Events numerous times on Wednesday, 10/5, because we unfortunately made the final decision to cancel our wedding events there. We had received no notification from them whatsoever at this point about their plans for our event, I couldn't reach anyone all day, and their voicemail was full. I eventually emailed Terri about our situation and that we were being forced to cancel. I requested to discuss a refund of the rentals we had ordered. The response we received was less than reasonable. Initially, we were told that the owner, Lisa, had declined ANY refund BECAUSE of the impending hurricane. ALL of our other vendors, including our venue, expressed apologies and understanding of the situation and offered us partial or full refunds. When we questioned this, we were told that Lisa had decided to “refund the rentals 100%.” We assumed this meant all inventoried items they had in stock. Since we understood that floral arrangements were pre-ordered and pre-made and we were going to be charged for floral anyway, we requested these still be delivered to our venue for others to enjoy. However, apparently the $400 worth of glass cylinders, globes, and pillar candles I rented specifically for the reception dinner were included by Lisa in the florals and would not be refunded. We were told nothing about this until after the fact, so we asked why they were not delivered with the florals if this was the case. We got the following response, exactly as written: "...Because you did not call off your event we kept staff and completed your event 100%. The is globes with succulents ready to go, cylinders cleaned and packed for transport with candles - everything. We could have and would have delivered the event 100% on Sunday and you elected not to come to charleston, which we clearly understand given the situation...” To clarify: we did call off our event because of a hurricane, and they did NOT complete our event 100%. We were a destination wedding with no family in the area, and our few friends had already evacuated days prior. Ooh! Events told us they could not ship our floral arrangements because they boarded up their shop. The cylinders, globes, and candles were not mentioned until days after the floral was delivered. We requested a reasonable refund from this company and were met with contradictory statements and lies. They were professional when everything was going smoothly, and I'm sure if a hurricane had not happened, my review would be very different. Though a unique situation, I would not recommend this company due to their lack of communication, inability and unwillingness to clarify costs, and overall unprofessional manner in which they handled our business. The lack of empathy from the owner Lisa was so disappointing and something I hope no future bride has to experience.

Hurricane Matthew was a difficult situation for everyone to navigate and thankfully not the norm. All events we were able to reschedule and work out the date and location changes. This particular couple’s wedding was on Sunday and it was a sm...
all event and it seemed likely the storm was going to pass and this couple did not call off the event early in the week like most couples. The state called a mandatory evacuation on Tuesday, so we could not demand employees come to work. I knew we had to make the flowers on Wednesday to fulfill our obligations for this Sunday morning event and that I would stay in town no matter what and we’d do our best to get there. As we watched the storm roll in we knew that Thursday we would be a day to batten the hatches and Friday the storm was to hit.
I was able to get two employees to come in with me to complete all their flowers, we had to purchase the globes and succulents, clean cylinders, buy candles and have everything 100% on Wednesday. This wedding was the only one scheduled to continue and we were going to be ready to full their wishes. This was a small wedding so we were not sure if they were traveling or in the area already, so we moved ahead with the plans as contracted.
I received word from a co-worker who had dealt with the bride on Thursday that the wedding was called off, but they wanted the flowers delivered and picked up on Sunday as planned. The warehouse was shut down, as you cannot demand workers to stay and answer the phones when there is a mandatory evacuation. But employees were checking messages and all event details were managed and they did receive call backs a number of times and everything was done as directed.
On Sunday, I met the co-worker at the store and loaded the car with all the flowers. I specifically asked if they wanted the globes and cylinders to go, as I was unsure if someone else was using the elements that day. I was told no globes and cylinders, just the flowers. They were all delivered promptly that morning and cleaned up the following day.
They then called about a refund and we agreed to refund all the rentals, I am not sure where they are stating no refunds. Even through everything was made, purchased, delivered, prepared and picked up as instructed. We sent a check for $689.53 of the $1403.31 that was paid for the entire wedding. Once the money was received, the review is posted. If we did not care and try to do the right thing, we would not have made the flowers, delivered them, pick the rental items back up and send you a check.
We are of course sorry this happened to anyone and it was a terrible situation to be put in, imagine being on the other end trying to navigate all the logistics. We do wish you a life time of happiness.
We could not be happier with picking Ooh! Events for our wedding planning! I am from Florence, SC, but am now living in NYC. I reached out to Megan Chandler at Ooh! Events and couldn't be happier with our choice! She was flexible, organized, warm, friendly and listened to all of our ideas. She is incredibly creative and helped take our ideas and make them even better. Bottom line is - she has impeccable style and she gets things done! We also used Ooh! Events for flowers and rentals as well, and it made planning so much easier. It also helped that Ooh! Events has a gigantic warehouse where you have a lot of choices!
A few weeks prior to our wedding, Ooh! Events added a second coordinator, Candice Beaty, to help with our event. Candice ran our wedding rehearsal and helped with the final coordination leading up to the event. She was incredibly warm, enthusiastic, friendly and brought new ideas with her to help make our event better. We were already VERY lucky to have Megan as our planner, and then to have Candice added just made the perfect dream team. On the day of, I felt that everything was taken care of for me and I could fully relax and enjoy the day. Megan, Candice and the rest of the Ooh! Events team took care of all the delivery, set-up and placement of all the furniture and decor. And everything looked spectacular.
Unfortunately, Megan was leaving Ooh! Events shortly after that. With Candice now there though, I still recommend Ooh Events! as the go-to wedding planning service (this is after having spoken to multiple planners at the beginning)! We were incredibly lucky to have worked with both Megan and Candice and our day was perfect.

I love Ooh! They are awesome to work with. I was interning with them and was able to work side by side with each planner. They show every client the utmost respect while advising them throughout the whole process. They were always available to help a client with whatever they may need. Erin is so selfless and always made sure the couples needs were met, keeping the client happy and stress-free is a main concern for her. Candice brought such creative ideas to life while always maintaining a positive attitude. Each planner is unique but all equally amazing!
I rented lounge furniture and bars through Ooh! Events for my wedding (Spring 2016) and the aesthetic and quality of the rentals were excellent. The furniture collection is unique and the prices for comparable items were better than another local competitor I originally contracted. I cannot speak of the customer service, as my wedding planner did the coordination, however their website is easy to browse and includes prices, making it a great shopping experience for me.
It was such a pleasure working with Lisa Thomas and everyone at Oh! Events Lisa is the most creative, warm, dream come true florist/wedding designer you can ever hope to have. Lisa made all of my pictures and ideas come true. Nothing is off-limits-she seriously does it all-hanging floral arrangements, stunning candles, and rentals that are out of this world.
Also, if you don't stop by her shops it Mt. Pleasant you are missing out. There are gorgeous, unique dresses, fun gifts, and a makeup counter fit for celebrities. If Anthropologie went local, and married a make up store and a florist you would have Out of Hand.
Trust me-you want Lisa and the Oh Events team working their magic on your big day. I did not stress for one minute about flowers/rentals. I completely trusted Lisa and the flowers more than far exceeded my expectations.
I was disappointed in my coordination experience with Ooh. Initially, I was excited to work with a company that was a one stop shop, and I was happy with the other services I received, but coordination was particularly awful.
After paying my deposit, I was not in touch with anyone for months. My knot checklist suggested that I secure rentals, so after seeing that Ooh takes walk-ins I stopped by. Megan seemed baffled as to why I was there without an appointment or asking about rentals so early (7 months before my wedding). I told her I had a small budget and was looking for essential rentals only. She proceeded to tell me that my ideas for centerpieces and color schemes "won't look good" and showed me rentals out of my price range.
I had paid for a 60 day coordination package and no one contacted me to assign me a coordinator. At 55 days out, I contacted them asking when I would start services I was paying for. I was supposed to meet weekly with my coordinator and receive 3 CAD drawings, per my contract. I met with my coordinator twice before my wedding. Both times at my request and once she had to reschedule because she double booked herself. I received two CAD drawings that looked like a child drew it.
I was assigned to Erin who was consistently disorganized, unprofessional, lacked communication skills and seemed highly inexperienced. I frequently felt that she added stress and frustration which is what I hired her to relieve. When she finally gave me a timeline, it was incredibly obvious that she did not communicate with my photographer or DJ who would dictate the timeline and it had to be revised probably 10 times due to her lack of communication with other vendors and inability to make corrections when asked repeatedly.
The day of my wedding was fantastic and her support was essential, however, there were two instances that I find very frustrating. After correcting the start time of hair and makeup with her several times, hair and makeup thought we were starting 20 minutes earlier than I did. This caused us to leave late which caused us to not have enough time for family photos before the ceremony which we then had to do during cocktail hour, making us basically miss all of cocktail hour. Secondly, herself and her assistant bustled my dress. I had expected my bridesmaids to do this and was completely overwhelmed leaving the ceremony. I explained to them how to do it and they were concerned about the fastener showing so they did it a COMPLETELY different way. With all of the excitement and me never seeing the back of my dress I didn't realize my bustle was incorrect until the next day. I can't stand how it looks in photos and they should have done what I asked.
Lastly, I might say that maybe I had an isolated experience with a new coordinator but the company management as a whole and my interaction with other planners was also negative. I have a good friend who was recently married and used their full planning services who was equally disappointed with a different planner for the same reasons. I would not recommend Ooh to another Bride.

are unhappy as you look back upon your wedding day and that is upsetting for everyone. After 22 years in business, I have not found a single situation that we could not make right through communication.
The first thing I notice in your communication, is that a number of elements you reference, are not a part of the wedding concierge contract. That immediately sets the stage for someone to be disappointed. But I know the girls will go above and beyond that contract to try to help a bride with her planning needs, regardless of what is states on a piece of paper.
I have had many employees over the years and no one is ever prefect. But Megan has and extremely high customer service rating. I train my team to not ask about budgets initially, as I feel this is terrible off putting. We work with brides with all types of budgets and it’s all a matter of choices. I am sure Megan was not aware of your budget and may have been suggesting a single “Wow” factor item. But we realize everyone’s taste’s and wish lists are different, it our job to outline ideas for your consideration and final selection. Regardless, I sincerely apologize if that upset you in anyway, I know it was not her intension.
Erin is a fairly new coordinator; however, she is a seasoned customer service professional with 10 years of business experience and she had an assistant with her with years of experience. She is truly a rare gem and I have yet to meet a person that did like not her, so I am shocked to hear your perception of her. I find her to be extremely organized and she is certainly a professional. Reading the above, it's apparent that you were already upset before meeting Erin and she unfortunately was starting behind the 8 ball with you, which is unfortunate for everyone. It is difficult to take over an event 60 days prior and know all the communications you might have had with a vendor for 6 to 12 months. You mention two points of frustration with Erin that include multiple people and a chain reaction of events. First the timeline was reviewed, approved and sent to the hair and makeup team, so it might not be totally fair to blame Erin alone for the 20-minute delay. But I understand that the moments before a wedding are the most stressful, as we all run the gamut of emotions and it’s of the upmost importance for everyone to be on their toes and a calming force.
I can vouch for the fact that bustling can be tricky, I understand the bridesmaids were to perform this task and with the timing be pressed the girls had to jump in and it can be difficult to communicate a visual task in a hurry. That is a task in which communication should have taken place earlier in the day and we sincerely apologize that you are unhappy with the look in the pictures!
Erin did communicate that she enjoyed working with you and she was unaware of your disappointment with her services, posting in a public forum without a single conversation is difficult to make right. Megan at Ooh! is absolutely amazing. I could not have made it through this process without her. My wedding turned out more beautiful than I could ever imagine. I am still in amazement at how incredibly fabulous everything turned out. 100% my dream wedding! Megan is able to take your ideas (no matter how vague they are lol!) and turn them into a stunning design that is somehow exactly what you imagined but a million times more fantastic. Aside from the incredible design, I think Megan stands out (from what I’ve heard from friends’ experiences with other planners) because she is an incredible support system throughout the entire process - literally holding your hand the entire way. Megan and the team at Ooh! Events truly put together the wedding event design of my dreams. There was no detail left unattended, from the table florals in mint julep cups as an homage to my groom to the decoration of our outdoor spaces, including lanterns hanging from the trees. Everything ran smoothly and without a hitch while looking absolutely stunning, and I have Megan to thank for that.
We used OOh! for planning, floral, rentals, hair and beauty and wouldn't change a thing! So convenient that you can get everything in one and they are all at the top of their fields - loved them! Ask for Callie - she was incredible!
