Curry Up and Get Married is a wedding officiant company based in Kalamazoo, MI. Carly is a passionate officiant, specializing in nondenominational ceremonies, but opens her arms to all forms of romantic unions.
Carly began her beautiful journey of uniting couples in heartwarming ceremonies when she officiated her best friend's wedding. She began to view this as an exciting avenue to narrating love stories in real life by filling the ceremony with many personal touches aligning with her best friend and her partner. Today, she brings this joy and tailored approach to every couple she works with, ensuring their big day is truly a reflection of their relationship, as well as their individual charms.
Carly has a mission to provide a unique and personalized experience for every wedding ceremony she officiates. Her primary goal is to offer couples a special way to celebrate their love. In addition to wedding ceremonies, Carly offers her services for rehearsals, vow renewals, and civil unions, all designed to be efficient and lasting under 30 minutes, allowing couples to swiftly transition to the fun of the cocktail hour or reception. Carly is deeply honored to be a part of each couple's journey and is excited to help them "Curry Up and Get Married."

an officiant we had 3 phone calls with prospective officiants. When we got off the phone with Carly, we knew right away she was the right person!
She beamed excitement about our love story. She was genuinely interested in hearing about us. She was funny, but serious. And after we spoke with her initially before booking her, we felt like we'd known her forever!
Carly came to our rehearsal dinner and fit RIGHT in with our families. Just like the initial phone call she was conversing with each of our parents, and friends, getting to know them to get a better idea of who we were and what type of ceremony she would be officiating. She was willing to adapt to what we wanted and envisioned for the ceremony, but also was direct and had set plans for the prompts that we had not thought about. She was so attentive and professional, we knew we made the right choice!
The ceremony could not have gone ANY better!! Carly made it extremely personal. She was SO present with us the entire time. Checking in with us, whispering to us if we were okay, if we needed tissues etc. The best part about how present she was is how she continually quietly told us words of encouragement that "you're okay!....you're doing great....you can do this...do you need a tissue?". It really helped us get through the most emotional parts of the ceremony. She curated the most personal opening, statement/love story, and pronouncement of marriage. All while adding in her own flair to let her personality shine! The perfect balance of seriousness, humor and professionalism.
Carly really made it feel like we were having our best friend officiating our wedding. She's such a genuine and kind soul! All of our wedding guests absolutely adored her!
Another thing that we loved was how Carly made sure to stick around for the reception! We were under the presumption that she would probably leave after the cocktail hour, but she hung around and mingled with us, our friends, our family. THAT made the experience that much more personal and special.
With all that being said, (and I surely could go on...) do not hesitate to hire Carly/Curry Up and Get Married. You will not be disappointed! You'll have the most attentive and genuine Officiant you could ask for!!!
