This venue was the perfect hidden gem just outside of Austin for our intimate evening wedding. The outdoor space was beautiful for our ceremony and reception with the Ranch House to get ready and welcome family. It was a perfect wedding day with Kimberly's help coordinating with vendors and helping guests so we could fully enjoy it all. She made planning a breeze and understood what we wanted for our special day. The Lofthaven cabin was the perfect newlywed suite and the views were incredible. Highly recommend for a micro-wedding!
Cypress Valley Event Center was the first, and only, venue that my husband and I toured for our wedding. The beauty of this venue was only multiplied by the various different spaces that are available to you, offering incredible variety in where you can hold the events of your wedding.
For ours, we held the rehearsal dinner in the ranch house (which easily fit our 40+ guests and the caterers), our ceremony in the elevated platform between the trees (a unique and unforgettable setting to be wed), and the dinner and dancing in the covered area on the grounds (which, due to weather, protected us easily from rain alongside the many umbrellas provided by the venue).
The various tree houses and lodgings on-site allowed us to keep our friends and family close to us for the entirety of our stay. We were blessed to be able to spend so much time with those that travelled especially far for our wedding, an opportunity that very few venues can provide.
All of this taken into account, the most wonderful part of our experience with Cypress Valley was the people. Kimberly, who was responsive and attentive throughout our year of planning, provided tours, joined us for event planning on site, and was genuinely excited for us at every step of the way. The on-site groundpersons were quick to support us when logistical or vehicular trouble came up. At every opportunity, the Cypress Valley professionals did everything they could to ensure that our day was as special as it could be.
I cannot say how grateful we are to have worked with such amazing people at such an amazing venue, and I cannot recommend Cypress Valley Event Center enough.
This is the most gorgeous place to get married if you love the outdoors. Our photos are absolutely stunning, breathtaking, and unique! Spring weddings here are unmatched. Keep in mind that everything is outdoors, so you are heavily dependent on weather and the seasons for foliage and the lushness of the greenery. It worked out perfectly for our wedding on March 25th, 2023, but just keep the date you choose in mind when considering this venue. We ended up renting out the venue for the entire weekend, which was such a nice option for out-of-towners. I would keep your wedding small if you want to get married here. There is space to accommodate for 30 overnight guests, but this is not for people who do not like adventure and the outdoors. The treehouses are amazing, but if you have older or handicapped guests, they might not do well in the treehouses. My old critique for the venue are the facilities. Don't get me wrong-- the bathrooms are gorgeous, BUT they didn't always work properly while we were there. If you don't like the idea of walking across a bridge to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, that's also something to consider as well. Otherwise, it was such a precious place for us, we will always hold it dearly in our hearts. Perfect for our style.
The second we toured this property my husband and I knew this was the place we’d pick to have our elopement. It is absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful. We even caught sight of the bison the morning of, which was really cool! Shelby was great to communicate with leading up to our date- it was a bit rainy for us the morning of, and she was kind enough to run over umbrellas for us at the last minute!
In terms of accommodations, The Yoki treehouse we stayed in was equally breathtaking- the views above the creek are unmatched and we loved how private and tucked away it felt compared to the other treehouses. In preparation, I got ready in the spa bathroom while my husband dressed in the main treehouse so we still got to have a special first look moment too, which was important to us. Our entire experience was an absolute dream and it was difficult for us to leave the location. We hope to be back to visit and zip line one day! We cannot recommend enough! Truly a hidden gem!
Cypress Valley holds a very special place in my heart. My first getaway with my now husband, was a stay in one of their treehouses and a canopy tour for his birthday. The people and details were so incredible that when he proposed a few months later, it seemed like the perfect place for our wedding. Covid brought a lot of complications to our planning. We had to reschedule and Shelby, the manager, was incredibly accommodating. I have nothing but kind words and appreciation for her. She helped us turn a very special day even more special. She gave us reccomendations for other vendors, lists, pictures of inspiration. Everything we needed for planning, she had. We will definitely be back to our special place.
This venue is basically Disney World for me. It’s absolutely magical, whimsical and truly unique. Definitely look into booking your wedding here, once you see this place in person you’ll understand how truly special it is. We rented out the tree houses for our weeding and had guests stay there and it’s an experience no one will ever forget. We did a zip lining tour before rehearsal which was also fun and adventurous for all. The staff was great and always available throughout the entire process. I could not recommend more!! Go see for yourself.
Let me begin by saying that Cypress Valley is not just a vendor to me because they feel more like family.
Not only is the venue the most unique and magical place to possibly get married in, but the staff were down-to-earth, kind, and helpful right from the start and were a joy to work with.
Specifically, I have to sing the praises of the General Manager, Shelby. She is a delight and radiates positivity and a genuine excitement for her job at all times. She always had a “can do” attitude, and if there was ever a question I had (I had a lot) that she didn’t know the answer to, she came right back with an answer and solution in no time!
I am a very detail-oriented person, and often have difficulty trusting other people to care about details the way that I do. This was NOT the case with Shelby! She is a rock star at her job, and genuinely cares about the details! I was 100% confident during the entire wedding planning process that nothing would slip through the cracks if Shelby was involved, and I was right.
One of the best parts about deciding to get married at Cypress Valley was the level of trust and independence I had with the staff. They aren’t overbearing and rigid like so many other wedding venues out there. They trust that you will respect their rules and the space, and then are completely hands-off from there unless you need them.
My wedding was beautiful and the guests LOVED the venue! Despite it being a little warm since it’s an entirely outdoor space, no one seemed to be that bothered by it!
My husband and I and our family members stayed in the treehouses and Ranch House, and had the best time!!! The treehouses are so charming! We actually plan to come back on our anniversary!
I hope my words do justice in describing how amazing Cypress Valley and their staff are. I cannot recommend them enough and am so appreciative that they helped me have the wedding of my dreams!
AMAZING venue, amazing staff!! Shelby is literally the sweetest human, and everyone who works there was soo helpful and nice. The treehouses are awesome and our bridal party had the best time staying in the ranch house before the wedding! Our guest were in awe at the scenery and uniqueness of the venue and we all had such a great time! :)
Cypress Valley was the best decision we made my sisters wedding. Being in the industry I helped plan it but knew nothing about anyone in Austin. I was told to find somewhere with lots of trees, not to hot or too cold, and it had to have an indoor space for the small reception.
When I saw the photos I thought the venue was too good to be true but then we toured it and it was just so beautiful and special. You feel so secluded in nature. But then it does great things like include the tables and chairs for your reception, AND they have a bucket of clear umbrellas just in case.
Shelby was amazing to work with and made everything so easy for us. I cannot recommend this wonderful venue enough.
So – let me paint you a picture.
It’s 5 weeks before our wedding and our venue cancels on us. We were out town for a business trip and unable to visit any new venues in Austin. It was the most stressful and nerve wrecking time EVER! I was frantically searching for a new venue, when clouds parted and a beam of light from heaven descended upon me and brought Cypress Valley Event Center to my attention via TheKnot.com. They NOT ONLY let us have our wedding out there on a day they typically wouldn’t be open, they gave our guests ziplining discounts, were quick to respond to texts and emails, worked with our budget, worked to help us reach our wedding vision (which required a few waivers, haha!), and were phenomenal all around.
I sent them an incredibly frantic email describing our situation, budget, & plans we had for the previous venue to see if there was any way they could work with us on such short notice. Shelby, the General Manager, wrote me back and was sooooooo nice and understanding and willing to work with us on all the details. I honestly can’t say enough positive things about Shelby because she is the absolute best person to work with. She was there for us at every turn, offered really amazing solutions to bumps in the road, took time out of her busy day to let us tour the venue a few times, helped us figure out ways we could lay out the ceremony, and so much more. There really aren’t enough kudos to give this incredible woman.
If you’re looking for a magical and romantic outdoor location for your wedding, look no further.
I HIGHLY suggest that you and your wedding party stay in the Ranch House for the night before and the night of your wedding. It is a beautiful home with loads of room to accommodate all of your overnight guests and its very aesthetically pleasing. It has a full kitchen with the largest fridge I’ve ever seen, stove, coffee maker, etc. It’s perfect.
The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. Imagine yourself descending through an amphitheater while your beau and best people are waiting for you on a bridge suspended over a stream of babbling water. It is perfect. At night, there are lights in the trees that make it seem almost otherworldly as the lights dance on the cypress leaves.
The venue provides tables, chairs, some decorations, the ceremony and reception spot have gorgeous warm lighting, and a bar area is provided.
I can’t thank Cypress Valley and Shelby enough for the experience they gave us. It was truly the best day of our lives and our guests had a ball. People are still talking about how wonderful it was out there. If you’re looking for an outdoor venue, this is THE ONE.
Having stayed in the tree houses at Cypress Valley twice before we knew we wanted to have our October 7th destination wedding in this magical, romantic, serene space. The experience of planning over the past year was so much easier than what we imagined it might be. With the help of our wedding coordinator (Heather), CVEC's general manager (Shelby), and co-owners (Amy & David) it was all pretty seamless...even when the weather threatened to thwart our plans! They all went above and beyond to make sure our experience was seamless and memorable and they didn't disappoint! They even threw in some unexpected lovely surprises for us!!!
We chose to reserve the entire facility for the weekend and housed our wedding party in the ranch house and family in the tree houses. It was perfect! Zip lining for the guys and yoga on the deck for the girls on the morning of the wedding was a great way to ease into the festivities. Our guests are still talking about how it was the most beautiful setting for a wedding they've ever attended, and how perfectly it supported our vision for a magical, romantic, fun, and unique experience.
You will fall in love with this place; you'll be impressed with the staff; and you will have the most incredible and unique experience for your wedding day. Book this place for your ceremony, and definitely consider reserving it all for the weekend; you will be SO glad you did!
I booked my wedding at Cypress Valley a few months ago. My wedding date isn't until October but I figured I would write a review of my experience thus far and update this after my wedding. Let me start by saying this venue is absolutely breathtaking!! I searched high and low for a woodsy/outdoorsy wedding venue and no other venue came close to Cypress Valley Event Center. The trees are tall and beautiful and provide the perfect amount of shade, you can hear the birds chirping in the amphitheater, and the whole structure itself is just simple in the best way. Working with Shelby has been a breeze! She has been very attentive and helpful with everything (and trust me I've had a lot of questions). She is such a sweet and down to earth person. If you are on the edge about booking this venue, I highly recommend seeing it in person.
