Dagar's Catering

We did a buffet style dinner and it was great! Food was delicious and the line never got unruly. The catering staff was wonderful and professional. They even boxed up some leftovers for us which was so nice to have the next day!

Dagar’s was such a great vendor to work with! Alanna was so communicative and above and beyond helpful in answering questions and managing changes leading up to our wedding. We catered 80 people with a family style service and had guests raving about the apple butter pork and all of the appetizers. The staff was so nice and friendly on the day of our wedding, always making sure we had water or a drink and making sure all of our guests had what they needed. They ran on schedule all night with toasts and the late night snack and we couldn’t recommend them enough!! We’re so glad we found them!

Dagar's was THE BEST. Their food tasted amazing, they were so responsive, I had a great tasting experience pre-wedding, and they set me up with Sugar Shaker Bakery for my cake which was also phenomenal. We got so many compliments for the food - many people telling us it was the best food they'd had had at a wedding. The servers were wonderful and attentive. And everything ran so smoothly. DNA Events (and Kathryn and Alanna) were fantastic to work with - especially across two years of delays. We loved the idea of getting to share some of our favorite local food (Terry Black's BBQ) with our guests, which made DNA a great choice for us. They handled all the coordination with Terry Black's, and then we also used the sister company Dagar's to cater the non-BBQ portions of the meal (salads, breads, non-alcoholic drinks, etc.) DNA also picked up and carved the brisket on the day-of. The service was excellent - Alanna took such great care of my husband and I, and we heard nothing but compliments from our guests on the food (both the brisket and the excellent salads from Dagar's) and the professionalism of the servers. On the logistics side, Terry Black's did end up being harder to work with than expected, so I also want to give credit to DNA for sticking with it. While the BBQ was excellent and we had personal reasons for using them, they changed their prices multiple times, had requirements that added complexity, and internal turnover almost derailed an agreement DNA had already negotiated. Thanks to the DNA team for their perseverance there!

Dagar's did a truly excellent job catering our wedding at the Arlo in April 2022. The food was so good! I had MANY guests tell me it was the best food they ever had at a weddding (we did Tex-Mex!). The service was great as well, and working with Alanna and Kathryn through the planning process went super smooth. Highly recommend for an Austin wedding!

Dagar's Catering did a great job. They were organized and well prepared when they arrived at the venue. Everything ran like clockwork. The food was amazing. We served Chicken, Scallops and pasta. Everything was delicious. The staff was very efficient in getting everyone served.

Kathryn and the team did such an amazing job using our favorite taco place as well as their team for appetizer catering. It went so smoothly and was so good - everyone loved the food and commented on the exceptional service (even the venue too)! Dont hesitate to use them for all your catering needs!!

We loved working with Kathryn and had the best experience with Dagar's catering our wedding!! For passed hors d'oeuvres we did bacon shooters and strawberry caprese crostinis. Both were phenomenal and a great start! We had a fajita buffet and so many guests commented on how good the food was overall. The dinner and dessert plates were beautiful and it was all so delicious and seamless! I highly recommend using Dagar's for your wedding.

Kathryn is the best. She was easy to work with, responsive to *my constant* emails, and ultimately gave us the wedding we wanted. Her company provided food, linens, china, waitstaff, and set-up/break-down. The wedding day was so easy thanks to Kathryn and her staff. In addition to this, Kathryn was extremely accommodating after our wedding date was postponed due to the pandemic, and I think that speaks volumes about the kind of company this is. We would highly recommend that anyone use Dagar Catering/DNA events for their next event!

Dagar's is AWESOME. Kathryn made everything so easy for me throughout the entire planning process. She is so kind, super responsive, super helpful, and organized. Bartenders were great, servers were great, everything at the reception went perfectly. Not to mention, the food was outstanding. I ordered their bar-b-que, and wow, had so many compliments from my guests! It tasted so much better than just basic catered wedding food. The portions were great sized and people were able to go back and get seconds if they wanted. I also rented linens from them and that was super easy. Just a great experience working with Kathryn and I would highly recommend hiring Dagars for your wedding. They're a do-it-all kinda company and that made everything so easy for me.

DNA Event is great! We used their staffing service and had Via 313 served at our wedding. Kathryn is great to work with and handled all the changes that came with 2020 with grace. Everyone was very professional and helped us have a wonderful wedding!

It was a whirlwind planning a wedding during COVID and Kathryn at Dagar's helped us tremendously through the whole process! Our wedding reception went perfectly. The whole team provided excellent service with the food, bar, setup, teardown, etc! They are extremely organized and detail oriented. Thank you so much for making our night flawless and wonderful!

Our wedding food was SO good-- we got the chimichurri bone-in chicken with roasted vegetables and a seasonal salad. One guest said that they'd been to multiple weddings in a row and that ours "had the best food, hands down", and so many other guests loved it as well. In preparing the menu, Stefanie and Kathryn were so helpful and set up a wonderful tasting too. Their services were so price-friendly and everything about their company was professional-- we would recommend them to anyone in Austin!

DNA events did a fabulous job providing catering services at our wedding this January. The bartenders were friendly and efficient, the decor/set up was everything we wanted and they made it look BEAUTIFUL. They were flexible with last minute changes and the food/alcohol situation had a perfect flow. They were patient with all our questions beforehand and communicated with us respectfully and promptly.

Dagar's was one of our stand-out vendors, and I am so happy we picked them! I didn't realize how key of a player your catering service is in your wedding day, and we were so lucky to have Kathryn coordinating all the moving parts for us. We used Dagar's as our bar service, family-style dinner, and they "flipped" our ceremony space into the reception space during our cocktail hour. The bar service was quick the entire night, and our food was delicious! I am still receiving compliments from wedding guests on our dinner. The serving staff was very professional and did an excellent job. Lastly, Kathryn was a pleasure to work with the entire time. She is straightforward and was willing to thoroughly answer all my questions through the planning process. We highly recommend Dagar's!

If I could give this company a 0 star rating, I would. Dagar's was catering our wedding. Stephanie was my account manager. She does not care about her job, that she would not email me back, answer my messages, or talk to me about the details of my wedding. I have many unanswered emailed and questions. I decided to call the owner, and tell her that we wanted a new account manager that Stephanie was very unprofessional. The owner blamed me. She just kept saying that she hires only the best and that nothing was wrong. I requested to have a new manager and she refused. The day of our wedding, the caterer was late. Our contract stated that we would have a complementary catering manager on site and have 2 other staff members. We only received two staff members and NO manager. We ordered 18 table clips for the tables. Since our wedding was outside, we wanted to protect our decorations. They did not bring the clips. When I brought this up to the owner, she blamed me. Once again Stephanie dropped the ball. Many centerpieces where broken, due to not having table slips holding the table cloth in place. They ask for a schedule. They brought out our cake 2 hours before it was supposed to be served. The guests got the cakes, and we were not able to cut into our own cake. When we brought this to the owner's attention, she said that the mother-of-the-groom said that the cake should be placed earlier. My husbands mom passed away 8 years ago. They should have confirmed with me or the groom before they put out the cake substantially earlier than I told them too. We used Dagar's for the bar service. I emailed the company the week of the wedding, asking if guests could order soft drinks at the bar. I was told yes. I have email proof. The bar tender told us that my father-in-law was cussing him out because the bartender would not give him a coke. I brought this up to the owner, and she said that bartender has had problems in the past.. Before the ceremony, I asked the bartender for a water. My contract states that the bartender is supposed to bring bottle water. The bartender told me to get water from the tap. I said that I wanted a bottled water and he told me there was a store down the road. We did not receive our care packages that were promised on our contract. We where told because there were no left overs. So the "complimentary" care packages are paid for by the groom and bride. So this is not complimentary. There is NOT a disclaimer stating that only if supplies last. Dagar's was supposed to bus the tables according to our signed contract. Our reception ended at 10 and our contract said that Dagar's would leave at 11pm. They also was supposed to checkout with the venue. They left at 10pm, and my husband myself and our guests had to clean the tables. We also had got in trouble with our venue since they left. The contract said that my venue needed them to checkout at the end of the night. When I brought this all up to the owner, she said that her team is having problems reading contracts. If we broke the contract we would have to pay a fine, but yet they can break the contract. I told the owner how upset I was that our reception was horrible. She once again blamed me and said that she could not turn back time. This was a very import day for us and she acted like it didn't matter. We paid thousands of dollars to have horrible service. If you want to feel like a valued customer, do not use this service.

My wedding was 9/1/19 at Brodie Homestead. Brodie requires you to select from their recommended list of caterers. I contacted several of them but found Dagar's had the best pricing. Also, Kathryn was very responsive and professional. I first started working with her in June 2018. She called me to discuss my budget and the ideas I had in mind. She was very kind and made great suggestions, especially since I had never planned something of this magnitude before. The proposal she sent over was very clear. Because Brodie does not provide linens, I rented these through Dagar's as well. It took a few months before I was ready to sign the contract and make the first payment. Fortunately, they still had my date available. We had our tasting about 6 weeks before the wedding, and it went very well. Kathryn attended it, so it was nice to meet her in person. Stefanie handled the planning, coordinating the details, and putting together the final version of the contract. She was very knowledgeable and helpful, even suggesting a delicious vegetarian meal for 1 of my guests. Kathryn happened to be scheduled to work my wedding. They arrived on time and setup exactly according to the diagrams. The catering staff did an EXCELLENT job of flipping the room from ceremony to reception style. They did the flip quickly, but without causing too much noise or chaos. They even delivered appetizers to the bridal and groom's suites. We decided on a dual entree of beef tenderloin and chicken caprese. I hate to even mention it, but both meats were a bit dry. Perhaps this is because it sits on warmers for several hours? I'm not sure. However, the salad, breads, and sides were absolutely delicious. Dagar's also provided kid's meals, which they loved. Throughout the night, the staff was so attentive and professional. They did an excellent job of cutting the cake quickly. The bartenders were great. Unfortunately, my guests (and me) drank so much vodka, that we ran out towards the end of the night. Overall, Dagar's did an excellent job, and I am very glad I booked them for my wedding day. I did notice that they changed their pricing after I signed my contract, so I'm not sure how they compare with competitors now. If they are within your budget, I highly recommend them! We hired Dagar's Catering (and their sister company, dna events) for all of our catering needs on our wedding day. It was easy to customize a package to fit our needs. We wanted appetizers for our cocktail hour from Dagar's, but we wanted Taco Deli to be brought in for our dinner. We wanted a full bar package, but we wanted to provide our own alcohol. Dagar's and dna events made all of this happen for us. Everything was easy to coordinate and they were there every step of the way to answer questions that we had. Definitely recommend!

Dagar's customer focus was above and beyond what I expected. We didn't have a wedding coordinator and Dagar's helped guide me towards the best catering options for us, even if it didn't benefit their checkbook. The service provided on the day of the our wedding to us and our parents was absolutely outstanding. Our guest still rave about how great the food was.

Dagar catered our wedding's appetizers, and provided the rest of our catering services (except for the food, which we ordered from a local restaurant). They were on-time, the appetizers were great, food from the restaurant was picked up and served, and everything was cleaned up! During the months leading up to the big day, it was sometimes difficult to communicate with them about the specifics of what we wanted.

We had such an awesome experience with Dagar’s for our wedding, both the prep and actual event. They helped make our day extra special. Everyone that I came in contact with, via email or in person, was just so nice and helpful. They really do know what they’re doing and do it with class and respect. I wish I could go back to that day and just thank everyone for everything. My eyes start tearing up thinking about how well our wedding went and how beautiful it all was because of Dagar’s. Their communication skills are impeccable and they truly want you to be happy. I would recommend Dagar’s to anyone looking for catering services!!

We had a wedding planner for our big day, so we didn't work TOO MUCH, behind the scenes with Dagar's, but what I will say is the tasting was done extremely professionally and well. They were so kind and attentive, they even gave us a sample bottle of the champagne they were going to serve at our wedding (Not sure if that's something they do for everyone, so sorry if I just spilled the beans). The food was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. We did food stations, and they were simply to die for. Our guests could not stop RAVING about the Avocado Bar, and the Taco Bar and BBQ Brisket station were all to die for! Don't even get me started on the passed hors d'oeuvres!!

Dagar's was absolutely wonderful to work with and exceeded my expectations in every way! We wanted to do family style since we always seem to be the last ones at the buffet for weddings and get no food at all or at best cold food. This was a critical decision since it impacts cost significantly because of staffing. I asked around to all the vendors that advertise alot in magazines and everything was way outside our comfort zone of price. I called Julianna from Allan House frustrated and she recommended Dagar's. It was the best phone call I made. We met with Kathryn for a tasting and the food was absolutely fantastic it was veyr hard to decide what to select (we chose the chicken with poblano cream sauce, fingerling potatoes, and pear kale salad so delish) We had to go back twice to select the passed apps during cocktail hour! One thing I was extremely worried about was the flip that needed to happen after our ceremony since it occurred under the same tent. Kathryn assured me that this would be taken care of and she was absolutely right. We brought it everything from loot (wood tables, chairs, plates, dishes, glasses, etc) They set up everything and it looked stunning! I believe there was a small charge but it was a significant amount of work. During the whole event we had a wonderful lady that I feel terrible for forgetting her name but she was so fabulous kept bringing us food and drinks and was so attentive making us feel so special and taken care of. We had a couple of guests with special request for vegetarian and gluten free choices and Dagar's also got their orders perfect and served them at their table making them feel special and taken care of. The event went off without a hitch and I can't say enough wonderful things about them. The food was delicious and service impeccable! I also will add that we did go try the food at those super expensive caterers and they were not as good as Dagar's. So we selected them for the food and service and not only because their pricing was better.

Dagar's was so kind and patient the entire planning process and made everything super easy. I could not have hoped for it to go any smoother...honestly...I thought there was going to be issues left and right (I'm cynical), but it was perfect!!! I cannot say enough nice things about their staff. The woman (I cannot remember her name) who was helping me and my husband out throughout the night was AMAZING! She was so so kind and I never had an empty glass of champagne...it was perfect :) The food was super tasty and the flip of the space from our ceremony to reception was flawless. I cannot believe everything went so smoothly. If there were any issues, I was not aware and they were easily taken care of. Dagar's has built a wonderful, family owned company and I commend them on their staff and all of their success. My dad is a small business owner, so I am fully aware of how difficult it is to surround yourself with reliable, helpful staff. And they have accomplished that, so congrats to you!! BOOK THEM NOW!

Dagar's was such a pleasure to work with and they did a fantastic job catering our wedding! We trialed several other caterers that came highly recommended, but were disappointed in the food. I found Dagar's catering off the list of accepted caterers from The Wildflower Center, our venue. We went to a tasting and were very impressed! We wanted to switch out an item and they invited us for second tasting. I can't quite recall if this was free or if they charged us and then it was subtracted from our final bill, but it was so worth it to finalize our menu with confidence! Even though our tasting was yummy, I was suspicious the food wouldn't turn out as good at the wedding, but it did!! I've gotten so many compliments on how good the food was from guests. I regret not going out to see where the food was served (buffet style), so I cannot comment on display, but the food was amazing. Also, it shows that they took good care of the bride and groom, serving us our food, so we didn't have to bother with the buffet line. They set up the tables beautifully, just as requested. We didn't have a coordinator, so they worked with us and had no problem filling in certain decorating requests. They also did a timely job cleaning up the chairs after the ceremony. The only hiccup in the night was for the vegetarian plates. We had forgotten to tell our vegetarian guests to request a special plate so they received it late, once we remembered. An announcement or some kind of cueing for that would have been helpful. Also, they forgot to place water glasses on the table, but it was available off to the side of the room. Overall, I would highly recommend them. We met with Kathryn, the owner, several times and she was always very helpful, reassuring, and knew what she was doing. She seemed extremely comfortable in our venue and made everything run very smoothly. Everyone was very friendly and I cannot think of a complaint about anyone. Not only were they the best tasting food, but also the most reasonably priced. Use Dagar's for your next event, they will not disappoint!

Every dish was delicious. The caterers were easy to work with, and the manager on the day of wedding made sure we ate and even got seconds! All of the food was a huge hit with our guests and we got sent home with leftovers. I can't say enough great things about Dagar's!

Where to begin?! They are simply the best. If you're looking for a cater that does it all for the most for your money look no further. They did it all from the food, bar, and even our linens. They were also super patient as we took a long time to to sign our contract. My mom is vegan and they even made her a vegan plate. I was so impressed. The food was so good there were no left overs after our event. The bartender was awesome and friendly. Thank you Dagar's for everything!

Kathryn & her team at Dagar's really go above and beyond for their couples! We used them for catering (buffet style, with passed appetizers during cocktail hour) and bartending (beer & wine set-up package), and also rented several linens from them for our tables. They were SO easy to communicate with, and when the big day came around, everything from set-up to break-down was seamless and professional. They even made plates for us (the bride & groom) and served them to us before opening the buffet to our guests! We received so many compliments on the food, and we could not recommend them enough. OH MY WORD!!! The food for our daughter's wedding was out of this world good. Working with Dagar's was so incredibly easy. We interviewed several caterers and no one came close to the warmth and caring of Kathryn and her staff. The prices were extremely reasonable. They worked with us in preparing a menu that fit our needs. The adults ate off of the buffet and we wanted the kids to have food they would like so to help the parents out the children were served at their special meal at their seats. The parents LOVED that. Dagar's did not blink at this special request, nor did they charge us extra for the service. The whole staff was professional and kind. The truly showed they enjoyed what they were doing. I highly recommend Dagar's catering. We will use them again for sure!!

Kathryn and her team at Dagar's did such a phenomal job catering for our wedding at Memory Lane Event center. She worked with us to get a delicious menu within our budget and was constantly answering my questions through emails and phone calls. Her responsiveness and cheerfulness were so much appreciated. I had so much confidence in the Dagar's team, the day of the wedding and everything went so smoothly. The food was delicious - we particularly loved the risotto stuffed mushroom appetizer and bacon wrapped shrimp! You will not be disappointed if you choose Dagar's for your catering needs!

I cannot say enough about Dagar's Catering and the great food and service at my daughter's wedding! They are phenomenal! They were SO professional from the first time we made contact with them! Katherine listened and communicated throughout the process and answered any questions we had. There were some specific things we wanted and they went above and beyond to make it exactly right! On the day of the wedding, Jennifer showed up with her team with such a sweet, accommodating, and professional attitude that I knew I could trust her to take care of things and I could enjoy the day! They were so efficient in the way they served our guests! Their setup was beautiful and they did so much to make sure the bride and groom, parents, and grandparents had what they needed so they could eat, enjoy the time, and visit with the guests! And then the food! It was wonderful! So many people told us how delicious the food was and they made sure no one went hungry! They boxed up what was left and we were able to enjoy it the next day! There is nothing that they could have done better! It was perfect! My daughter and her husband could not believe all the special touches Dagar's was willing to do to customize the menu for them! We are so glad we went with Dagar's!!

We had such a great experience with Dagar's! To be honest, we initially were wary when we saw how reasonable Dagar's prices were. They have such lower prices than other wedding caterers that we thought they had to be too good to be true. This isn't the case at all! The food was so good! We've had many guests tell us how much they loved the food in the weeks since the wedding. We were also blown away by the level of service. Kathryn was incredible and somehow managed to keep our event running beautifully while also consistently checking on my husband and me to make sure we had everything we needed. We did the bar package and I would highly recommend it as it saved us so much money. We brought in our own alcohol and Dagar's supplied everything else. All the glassware, mixers, garnishes, etc. I didn't have the think of a thing beyond telling them what I wanted our signature cocktails to be. Overall, I would highly recommend Dagar's. Great food and service at amazing prices!

Dagar's did a great job with our wedding at Mercury Hall. We didn't have a day-of cooridnator just my MIL and lots of family friends to help. Kathryn made sure we stuck to our schedule and we got to eat. They made us plates before everyone else and someone on the staff was always there to get us a drink or water when we needed it. They made clean up super easy and were very flexible with set up. When I told Kathryn we wanted more space for the dance floor they didn't hesitate to shift around tables and chairs. We did a buffet with stations and all of the food was delicious. We did the bbq sliders, street tacos, and make your own queso bar. They were more affordable than some of the other preferred caterers by our venue but you'd never know it by the way they served us.

Amazing Service! I will talk about the food but I want to first say how unexpectedly amazing the service was on our Big Day! Dagar's had a person assigned to the Bride and Groom to make sure we always had what we needed (be it water, food or beverage) Our wedding was in late June, so it was amazing to have someone ready with an ice cold glass of water always on hand for me and my wedding party. This person not only made sure I was always hydrated, but also my parents and grand parents! The food was also amazing! We had a limited budget, so it was essential to find one dish that would suite all 100 guests. Dagar's was so great in working with us to find the right combination that would work for everyone, including separate dishes for people with deadly allergies. After the night was over, the Dagar's staff helped to quickly clear the buffet, sweep and load cars with leftovers. We loved this vendor and would definitely recommend them for any special occasion because of their great service and attention to detail!

Food was very good! I HIGHLY recommend the mashed potatoes with caramelized onions and goat cheese; the field greens with grilled peaches were AMAZING and if you are doing a veg meal option, go with the portabellos stuffed with feta, spinach, pine nuts, and sund-dried tomatoes.

Our experience with Dagar's was horrible! We contracted with them April 2013 for an October 2013 wedding and our representative was Adrianne. We had planned to visit the wedding venue together and I also needed Dagar's to sign a simple contract with my wedding venue (basically about insurance, cleaning etc). After we paid the down payment, it was nearly impossible to get a response. The signed contract from Dagar's was due 60 days prior to the wedding for the venue and I literally got it on the 60 day mark. Then Adrianne, our rep, was fired about a month and a half before the wedding. I was not surprised at that. Adrianne took zero notes so I basically had to start from scratch with the owner, Kathryn. Kathryn was nice but Adrianne had told us things that were not standard with Dagar's and we ended up getting charged more. We gave everything we could to Kathryn so she could wrap it all up (Dagar's had never catered at our wedding venue and the set up was kind of different than normal). About two weeks before the wedding, Kathryn sent us a final layout which was completely different than what we had sent her. We felt like she really did not care about our event and was not putting in the time or care that should have been. She was supposed to be the catering manager the day of our wedding but about a week before, she handed it off to her brother. Again, we felt like our event was being passed off like a hot potato and that the $15k we spent wasn't worth their time. For the actual event, Dagar's forgot knives completely, a cake cutter and ran out of napkins. This is only what I noticed! Also my mother started busing tables because their staff was not taking care of it. The food was mediocre and not as good as our food tasting but I guess you can expect that when it's made in mass quantities. I will say the bartenders did a good job. All and all, I would not recommend Dagar's Catering and if we could go back, we would definitely choose another catering company.

The only reason I give them four stars is because we had some last minute problems. There was some uncertainty about who was allowed to provide alcohol at our specific venue and we thought they should have taken care of the problem a month or so before the wedding, considering we had decided on a full bar package from the caterer. Other than that, the whole experience was wonderful. Our first meeting went great! They gave us suggestions and asked questions that we hadn't even thought of. We were able to go to their tasting event and experience the food and service that we could expect at our wedding. The day of the wedding everything went perfect. I was amazed at the ease of everything. They were also very attentive to us, the bride and groom. They made sure that we were fed and got to try everything because they understood that the wedding day can be hectic for the bride and groom. The food was outstanding! We got so many compliments on the food and service. I would absolutely recommend them!

We went with Dagar's for our wedding, not only because they were a great value, but they had some of the best options for a menu. We decided to go with the BBQ brisket and sausage, and they were so accommodating when we wanted to change the sides to mac and cheese and salad. They also provided our alcohol and cocktail hour, and were nice enough to provide my husband and I with complimentary take-home bags for the end of the night (so awesome, we were starving when we got to the hotel!). The servers were so nice and the manager on site was amazing and made sure we had beers in our hands all night. For all of the services provided to us, it's amazing they were as affordable as they were. We were also getting rave reviews about the quality of their BBQ all night! Dagar's was an awesome choice and we highly recommend them!

To start, multiple guests have told me that the food at our wedding was THE best wedding food they've ever had, hands down. Kathryn was incredibly helpful, accommodating multiple emails and meetings to ease the stress of planning from across the country. She was open to any suggestions we had outside of the menu and really took our Texas-southeastern fusion concept and brought it to life with a great mix of passed hors dourves and stationed items. My husband's one non-negotiable, a mac and cheese bar, was the star of the show, along with an amazing fried veggie bar to reflect our southeastern home away from home. Everyone at the wedding was raving about the food, and Jennifer was excellent about taking care of my husband and I throughout the evening. I loved that she made our plates for us and we actually got to sit and eat during dinner!! The rest of the staff members were very professional throughout the evening. Thank you so much for the fabulous service, food, and piece of mind during the planning process!

Dagar's did a wonderful job creating a “gourmet-bbq” style menu for our wedding. They truly know their BBQ and our picky Kansas City & Chicago guests loved it! Their service was good during the cocktail hour and dinner service. And communication was good from planning the menu within our budget to the timing of reception activities and other details. The only complaint I have it that after we did our send-away, our family and friends went back into the venue to gather the centerpieces and other décor, but the staff was already breaking down tables and taking our things! We had both the venue and the caterer booked for a whole additional hour after the end of the reception, so there was plenty of time to get packed up. While I understand it was a long day for the staff, it was very rude. I spent a lot of money on décor and my mom and I made a lot of items ourselves. I had the intent to give these as gifts and provide to other brides I knew getting married this year, but we only got some of the items back. We hand-made 22 table runners and I only got 5 back and they were destroyed- one was found at the bottom of a keg! They also pulled their truck right up to the venue doors, blocking my family from getting in and out with items, and they refused to move it at all when requested. I do not know why they thought this behavior was ok or that it wouldn't be communicated back to us. Vendors should know that every part of their service is important, and while everything was perfect until the end of the wedding, this was very disappointing.

Dagar's catered our outdoor wedding on April 27,2013 I could not have asked for anything better. My husdand & I were treated like a king & queen. Service was exceptional, food was wonderful, I worked with Adrianne told her what I wanted and she put together a wonderful menue for us. Everyone was so very professional I would recommend Dagar's 100%

This was the one vendor who I had to write a review on, they really saved the day. I signed a contract with another vendor and had our tasting a month before the wedding and it was dreadful. I could go into great detail on why I did not like this other vendor but this is a review on the fabulous Dagar's. Anyway, I fired my caterer a month before my wedding...yikes! I had been recommended Dagar's Catering from my wedding planner and they are a preferred vendor of my wedding venue so I gave them a shot. They returned my calls and got me a proposal the same day I called them. I had a tasting the next week and signed the contract. They basically rallied together to get me what I wanted and it was fabulous. All of my guests kept raving about how good the food was. They also provided vegan options to my family members who have special diets. They did all of this at the same price as the other vendor who sucked! All around I would use Dagar's again for any caterings needs. They really saved the day and did a wonderful job!

Dagar's Catering did an awesome job at our wedding. The food was very delicious! Kathryn was very helpful throughout the whole process of getting our menu together. She knew exactly how much we needed of everything. All and all the food and service was great!

The food was actually even better than I expected it to be--the chicken was moist and delicious, they also created a shrimp and grits station for us that was very tasty. We had so many compliments on the food at our wedding snd were able to create a fall menu based on the options provided thst suited our wedding perfectly. I thought the food was better the night of the wedding than at the actual tasting. They also created a signature cocktail for us to serve as guests arrived--I didn't get to taste it so can't speak to the flavor but heard that it was good. They give the bride and groom a personal waiter to serve their food at the reception so you don't have to stand in line, they even brought us the passed hors d'oeuvres that we missed while taking photos. At the end of the night they pack the bride and groom to go boxes also. The wait staff and bartenders also went above and beyond and cleaned the trashed bathroom at the end of the night. For an extra fee they will set up and tear down the chairs and tables as well. I do have a couple of complaints...there was prompt and courteous communication initially, however there was a staff change after we signed the contract and towards the end we felt they were friendly and didn't communicate as effectively. Kathryn was quite slow to respond to some emails and abrupt (a little rude) in her responses. Also--there was no water on the tables at the dinner, something that would have been nice (especially for those not going to the bar for drinks). The biggest complaint I had was that they pulled out the cake table to cut the cake but did not push it back. As a result an expensive backdrop we created fell and broke and caused a loud crashing noise during the reception. They did clean it up quickly, however we were not compensated for the damage. They also only have monthly tastings if you want to try the food (you can request a particular dish if you'd like)--this was difficult as I was planning the wedding from out of town. Overall--for quality and taste of food, Dagar's was excellent. They offer some nice touches for the wedding and made the night run very smoothly for the most part.

I LOVE Dagar's. Frank was the BEST. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this company. Their staff is amazing. It was so fun to work with Frank and Kathryn. They are so friendly, fun, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their food is even better. We had BBQ at our wedding and it was delicious! Everyone loved it! I especially liked the sausage and our appetizers. We had the caramel goat cheese purses, mini grilled cheeses with tomato soup shooters and bacon wrapped chicken. Dagar's was really accommodating and had no problem adjusting the recipes and ingredients. They always responded to my emails right away. The tasting was a lot of fun! We got to taste a ton of different types of food and I actually had a great time chatting with the staff. Wedding planning is stressful, and I am so happy I decided to go with Dagar's, they made the catering so easy and worry free. You need to give them a call!

We used Dagar's Catering for my wedding reception at Memory Lane Event Center and they were wonderful!! From the initial tasting to the end product they were great to work with. They were great at responding to any questions that I had and on the day of everything was perfect! The staff is very professional, organized, and the food was amazing!! We had the avocado bar as well and our guests loved it!! We highly recommend Dagar's Catering and could not be happier with our decision!!

We used Dagar's to cater our wedding in June. Overall it was great experience. There were a few frustrations getting menus and things finalized, but nothing major, and probably nothing out of the ordinary when planning an event such as this. We had BBQ at our out door wedding, and it was a hit. Everyone loved the food. The staff that was onsite for our event was AMAZING! They took care of everything. They were professional, and courteous, and made all the difference in our event. There was one staff assigned to take care of my husband and I and we wanted for nothing. She fixed our plate, and made sure we always had a drink (as I was constantly setting mine down and loosing it). She helped us with the cake cutting, we would have just stood there with the knife if she hadn't been there to tell us what to do! I would highly recommend Dagar's for your event. They made our day even more special.

They definitely have all of their ducks in a row! Very professional, very organized and very thorough! They offer tastings once a month and we signed up for one and asked if they would make the eggplant parmesan so that we could try it out. It is my favorite and honestly was going to be the deciding factor in booking them or not. Kathryn, the owner, said no problem and added it to the menu for the tasting. We loved it! She also made the beef lasagna which was the other choice and my husband and father loved it! We are still getting compliments of how good the food was. If I had it to do all over, I would have ordered more eggplant, it ran out so fast because it was so good! One other thing that I loved about them is that they take care of the tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware and flatware. The only thing I added was a decorative overlay and centerpieces. I was very happy with how everything looked and was even more happy that I did not have to worry about the rentals before or after the wedding! Highly, highly recommend!!

We had the best experience with Dagar's Catering. They were true pro's the whole way through. Their prices were great, the food was magnificent and they handled everything! I don't have one complaint. They made the wedding day so nice and worry free. Great people to work with and our guests felt so well cared for and loved the food

Dagar's can get a little pricey, and if you think their initial quote is too much, don't expect to be able to talk them down from it. However, you get delicious food and excellent service for the price. Kathryn demands perfection and our every need was met on our wedding day. We received tons of compliments from our guests. She also hooked us up with a photobooth and recommended a wonderful bakery. I would recommend Dagar's to anyone needing catering for a big event that has to be perfect.

We had mixed feelings about using Dagar's, but in the end it proved to be a good decision. I always got the feeling that they were a little inconvenienced by me whenever I tried to get in touch with them to plan tastings and the menu, which left a very bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended). But they were definitely one of the cheapest caterers out there, and we got our money's worth. We actually received a lot of compliments about the food, and overall we were pretty pleased. The service at the wedding was very good and they threw in a few veggie plates for free for the vegetarians on our guest list. Just watch out for dry chicken and don't expect a ton of enthusiasm about your wedding.

We hired Dagar's to do the food for our wedding because of their glowing reputation and previous experience with them. The packages they offer include everything you can think of! They have put a lot of time and effort to ensure they provide quality and cover all their bases. Our guest loved the food! They were very easy to work with before the wedding as well. They answered emails and calls very quickly! I loved the personal service, as well as the taste of the food. Not only did we have a personal service during the reception but they also made sure we got the appetizers that were serviced during the cocktail hour! It was a great touch! They also provided water for our guest when they arrived to the ceremony and good bags for us and our parents to enjoy after ther wedding. Kathyrn was great to work with and very personal with us.
