Ugh.
After my THIRD event coordinator, I thought all would run smoothly. We had countless meetings. I planned my wedding from Los Angeles and flew out several times to Texas. Th...e event coordinator made promises that she did NOT keep.
Mind you, we rehashed ALL of these issues days before the wedding and had everything set:
1) We made it very clear that I (The Bride) was not to be hear about ANY issues during the wedding. Go to the groom, go to the maid of honor, etc. Not only did she come up to me, about serving the top of our cake to guests none-the-less, she went to my mother about payment options!! Awful.
2) She served the TOP OF OUR CAKE to guests after we specifically told her, two days prior, that we are keeping the top of the cake! (WHO DOESN'T?!?!?) She mentioned that she spilled coffee on the notes. Ridiculous.
3) She was in a car accident on the day of the event, obviously nobody can do anything about that, BUT she left early and left everything up to someone new. The new person lost 2 vendor lights, which we were charged for and are still wasting our time trying to find, now 3 weeks after our wedding. (The Marriott actually had the nerve to tell our lighting vendor there were only 10 lights instead of 12. We had to find proof from videographers and photographers that there were actually 12 lights. They wanted PROOF! The contract wasn't enough, which by the way the event coordinator at the Marriott has all of the vendor contracts and SHOULD
4)I have not heard a single apology and I just realized writing this how furious I am.
This whole process has made me reconsider my career as I would never let this happen to a bride!
