Danelle's Bridal Outlet & Tuxedo Junction

I had a wonderful experience at Danelle’s! I actually had found a dress and purchased it at a different store in town because I felt pressured by their sales staff, and went to Danelle’s after to just look and see if anything else caught my eye. I was blown away! The selection at Danelle’s is amazing and they truly have unique one-of-a-kind gowns. I tried on probably two dozen dresses just to try different styles and looks, and the staff were patient and kind. I found THE GOWN that felt like me and bought it. I don’t regret it at all. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and that’s thanks to the stunning gown I found at Danelle’s. Their communication and service is fantastic. Their alteration recommendation (Cecil) steamed my dress on short notice the week of my wedding for a reasonable price and ended up tacking some fabric that wasn’t laying right without any problem or charge. I cannot recommend Danelle’s highly enough!

I do want to preface this review with the fact that my dress did photograph well, but that is the only positive thing I can say about my experience at Danelle's. When you hit the door, you are told of an offer that is only good for the first day. If you need time to think or want to look around, the offer expires. I felt pressured from the start to purchase a dress that day. The consultant was nice and I found a dress that I liked but wasn't in love with. I was worried about the price increase if I waited, so I bought the dress. I asked if I could wait to be measured (trying to lose a little weight) and was told that I could come back in 3-4 months without a problem. Three months later, I returned and was told that my dress was now a "rush order" and they couldn't guarantee that it would arrive in time for alterations. I had already paid for the dress and my contract stated no refunds or returns so I decided to risk it. I was measured a full 2 sizes larger than I had been measured at all other bridal stores (and a size bigger than the sample size which was too big). I was told that their policy was to order the size that correlated to the largest measurement. In this case, it was my hips; this would have made sense if I had purchased a mermaid or trumpet gown but mine was a flowy A-line. I was not allowed time to try on the sample dress and felt very rushed. My dress did arrive in time for alterations (though I was the one initiating all contact with Danelle's). When I brought it to my seamstress (Danelle's doesn't do their own alterations), I learned that the boning had been cheaply and poorly done. There was no way to take in the top of the dress without taking it apart. The only solution was to tighten the back, which was not flattering. My dress fit poorly and was very uncomfortable on my wedding day. I didn't feel beautiful and felt rather embarrassed that I spent half the cost of the dress in alterations to still not like how I looked in the dress.

Though I bought my dress awhile ago, we just recently had our wedding in June. I can honestly say I had tears of pure joy and happiness when I put that dress on. I have never felt so pretty in my entire life. Thank you so much to Danelle's Bridal Boutique and all the hardworking and dedicated representatives that work there. You are all like fairy godmothers of the wedding dress world! Going into wedding dress shopping was exciting and terrifying. My nerves were settled and Kylie made me feel so relaxed. She had me step out of my comfort zone with certain styles, while still listening to my "dream dress details". Kylie had me try on a dress that I could have sworn "was not the dress"... it was THE dress, MY dress. Thank you all so much for everything and for making me feel like a movie star princess on my wedding day! I will be sure to send more pictures on Instagram :)

I ended up buying my dress from here but was not a fan of the high pressure sales tactics used. I regret that this was the first place I went to for dress shopping. I ended up trying on a dress that I really liked, but it didn't have a major feature I was looking for and I had another dress appointment scheduled later that day. I was told that it was the only dress and would be purchased off the rack. I needed time to think and left to go to my next appointment. At the next appointment, I received a call stating that the manager had approved a special price for the dress if I bought by the end of the day (the store closed in 15 minutes). I happened to have identical appointments with another bride that day, and they did and said the exact same things to her about her dress. I ended up buying the dress; it was beautiful and good quality but the sales experience definitely left a bad taste and unfortunately is what I think about when I think of my dress.
