Daniel Island Club

Our wedding was by far one of the most delicious days of our lives. My husband and I were very careful in choosing our menu selections. However, finalizing our menu was so difficult because every bite of our tasting was delicious. In the end we chose well, as our guest are still talking about how amazing the food was. Everyone at the club was a pleasure to work with and come highly recommended.

We had our ceremony on the croquet lawn in front of the club. The cocktail hour overlooked the marsh with gorgeous sunsets. Lovely weather and AWESOME staff (including Alex who was our concierge for the club cottage suite). Erin Dudley rocks and she is always happy to help with a smile on her face. Would not have changed a thing or could have asked for more. Everyone was also so nice and helpful the next day when it was time to clean up and go home too. To start off, just driving to the location from the main highway is absolutely beautiful. There are no slums or ugly sites on the way, traffic is calm, and the short drive is beautiful. Secondly, parking is abundant and close unlike most other Charleston venues. As for the people, I love them! Erin and Elizabeth were so helpful, fun, kind, and smart. They did what I wanted, suggested great alternatives, worked with my busy schedule, and were totally professional. The venue is also gorgeous!!! The marsh where ceremonies are held is so pretty! The inside is huge and beautiful as well, very elegant. They are also one of the few places to fit my initial 250+ guest list. We ended up having only about 170 people for the price we paid, but the Club did everything! AND I HAVE to add that the cake by Caitlin was outrageous! One of the best cakes I have ever tasted in red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla.

I cannot say enough things about the experience with Daniel Island Club - the team there is unbelievable. Elizabeth and Erin were beyond helpful and no matter what idea that I brought to the table they were more than willing to make happen (or at least try to the best of their ability). Although we weren't the largest or most expensive wedding they have ever thrown they made me feel special and important. They consistently got back to me in an extremely timely manner and even if they didn't have the answer right away they let me know they were working on it. In addition to the actual venue the food was incredible. Our guests have not stopped raving about how delicious the food was (it all came out hot and with great flavor). Understanding that often times food prepared in mass isn't great but every single dish was made with care. I had a completely out of the box dessert that I wanted to create the the pastry chef worked with me on multiple tastings to make it happen and make it delicious. I cannot say enough great things and hope I have another reason to work with them again!

Daniel Island Club was so on top of everything for the day of my wedding. They helped me every step of the way. They answered all my questions in a timely manner and were just amazing the day of. I always had a drink in my hand, food on our table, etc. I would recommend this beautiful venue to everyone!

We were so lucky to have found Daniel Island Club! Erin and Elizabeth and all of the staff there were absolutely wonderful and went out of their way to make our day as perfect as possible. We had so many compliments on the venue. We would highly recommend Daniel Island club for venue and catering....it was all fabulous!

I love this venue. It was gorgeous. The whole team at DI club is wonderful. From Erin, the event coordinator, to the kitchen staff to the set up staff... amazing. I wouldn't have had my wedding anywhere else. You can't beat that view :)

Daniel Island Club is SUCH a beautiful place!!

My fiance and I had been engaged for almost a year before we found our venue. I am from the mid-atlantic and he is from the south. We wanted a wedding that would represent the two of us and the rainy day that we stepped into the Club we knew we had our venue. DIC has everything! They were so attentive and were able to see what we wanted for the day/event! On our wedding day they were flawless and kept everything so smooth for our other vendors, guests and wedding party! All of my vendors have only raved about the Club and staff. My videographer and photographer were so excited with the space and scenery. Both, with the DJ, could not stop telling me how wonderful the coordinator was - "the best I've ever worked with." I had to plan this wedding from a distance. I didn't get to taste my food or cake before "the day" - and it was all FANTASTIC! All of our guests have said how great everything was for "wedding" food and I've even had friends email me to email the Club for some recipes. They were flexible with our menu choices, signature drink and they even made our wedding cake! It didn't taste like a wedding cake, it was WONDERFUL!! If you want to design a lot of your wedding, but need the help your venue to put it together and run the show - Go Daniel Island!! I also would not pay for a "Wedding Coordinator" because the staff will do an awesome job if you have you idea's well put-together!

We had our ceremony and reception here on May 1. The entire pre-wedding year we were totally comfortable and confident in the capable and hard-working hands of Erin, the onsite coordinator. We had a multicultural ceremony (two ceremonies really) and she was completely on top of it all and incredibly responsive, upbeat and friendly -- even though she was planning her own wedding and must have been swamped. In short, she was a complete professional. All the help and support from Erin and her staff made the day, which we largely planned ourselves, a breeze. Our guests raved about the beautiful location overlooking the marsh, the lovely landscaping, the elegant and spacious interiors, the fantastic food and service, and the best wedding cake ever. Best of all, the price was better than the many other more popular Charleston venues we looked at! A total hidden gem, and highly recommended.

An awesome venue! Beautiful outdoor ceremony site overlooking the golf course and marsh. Ballroom is very well and neutrally decorated. Very classy establishment! Erin Foster is the coordinator for the facility and she is the best!!
