Danville Bed and Breakfast

If I could grade them a 100/5 I would!!! This was the most amazing group of people!!!! Not only was the location so unique and beautiful, all the people who made this day so magical for me were better! Many Thanks to Dan and his wife, Sally, Larry Mae, Joe the caterer, Ian the dj, and everyone else on the staff. I truely could not have invisioned my day being more spectacular then you made it. The husband and I woke the morning after our wedding in agreement that if we could relive a single day over and over it would be our wedding day. Danville was amazing. The staff didn't just honor our contract, they rolled out the red carpet and pulled out the fine china. I highly recommend this venue for the bride who is in search of something unique and personable. This is truly a special place.

Danville Bed and Breakfast is great if you are looking for a beautiful and fun venue none of your guests have already been to. I was looking for a venue for my November 19th 2011 wedding and after exhaustive research I found this venue to be an excellent combination of uniqueness, convenience, and value. None of my guests had already been there. I was a able to get ready for the wedding at the venue, the groom and his men had a place to dress, the ceremony and reception were in one location, and we had the first night of our honeymoon there. I didn’t have a large budget for the wedding but I dreamed about making a big impact and the staff at Danville offered to help when and wherever they could. If I asked for a favor they went above and beyond to make it happen. Every member staff works to see to any detail you can think of and many that you might forget about. They genuinely want you to have the most wonderful time and, even though I make a very demanding bride, the entire staff seemed delighted to help every step of the way. Some highlights of my favorite features: • There is plenty of parking. • There are many different photo spots and you can send for people you want in photos quickly because everything is in one location. • It’s not difficult to move chairs from ceremony to reception (which saves you money). • My bouquet toss happened off a balcony for extra drama. • I had a convenient place to change into my second (and third) dress. • Since we stayed the night at the venue, we could save some of the clean up for the morning. • They made my new husband and me a big breakfast the morning after our wedding. • Danville provided party lighting for the reception and had equipment that allowed me to present a slideshow to my guests; these were fun elements that would not otherwise have fit into my budget. • They have an old fashion street cart that you can use as a display or gift table and a popcorn machine! • My fiancée’s favorite part is the pub. Leather chairs, wood bar, keg holder, dart board, and chalk boards you can personalize. • Alcohol is bring-your-own, which I appreciate because I find that to be the least expensive option. Keep in mind, you will need to provide your own glasses if you are having a large party (mine was 80 guests). • My wedding was the first to use the old fashioned photo booth they have (provided for an additional charge) and my guests lined up to use it again and again! It’s an entertaining activity for all of your guests and I had photos from the wedding with photos right away. •Danville staff thinks of details. o For example, there is a rope swing that is perfect to take pictures on. Danville gave me a pretty little cushion that fits it so I wouldn’t snag or dirty my dress while sitting on it. o Another example, I was concerned that there was too much gravel where the tents were set up. They smoothed out the area so ladies in heels could walk without difficulty and then purchased a runner to put in between the tent and the building so guests would not track dirt inside. o I made a menu for the bar. They just happened to have a tiny easel to put it on. o The closet in the upstairs suite was stocked with most of the items in my bridal emergency kit. I could have skipped packing it and not worried about a thing! o They do things like spraying to keep away mosquitoes the day before and gardening around the gazebo without being asked.
