I live out of town but was having my wedding in Pensacola. The thought of planning my entire wedding on my own and then just handing it off to a complete stranger did NOT sit well with me. I knew I needed a wedding planner, but I wasn’t even sure exactly what I needed from one! I had three Zoom meetings before Billy. All of them were fine and friendly. They “checked all the boxes”. But when I met with Billy, her presence came off the screen. I swear I still can’t explain it…but my stress-shoulders literally came down. Her presence gave me such a calmness. My instinct was to go with her. THANK GOD. From that point forward, I’m telling you everything was smooth sailing because of that woman. Any question, concern, needing her expert opinion or just a dose of her calmness really helped ease everything for me. Our rehearsal got moved to a much smaller location because our venue was having a wedding the day before. My husband and I wanted our wedding song with people coming out on very specific lyrics. Billy’s leadership on conducting the rehearsal was amazing. We also had a lot of moving parts because of a storm and people from out of town. With her amazing communication, everyone was on the same page to have an seamless ceremony. The wedding day was INCREDIBLE. For decor, the DaSilva team did EXACTLY what I imagined. After hair and makeup, I came down to peek and see everything. (that Type A is hard to tame) I was amazed at it coming to life!! AND! I totally forgot about the Mr. & Mrs. Table! Who does that?! Me. And what did Billy do?! She whipped up the cutest table with extra decorations I had along with some back up she had. OMG! She even had all these little adjustments I didn’t even think of! Like tacking down items because of the wind from the ceremony. At this point, I’m not sure I can even claim Type A anymore. Everything during the wedding was INCREDIBLE. She kept up with the timeline to make sure all the things we wanted to do were going in a timely manner. The guests, myself and my husband had the BEST time truly  because of the DaSilva team. My key points about this angel are these: She offers expert suggestions but always reminds you it’s your day. Her listening is IMPECCABLE. She pays very close attention to detail and will execute your vision. Her communication is next level—the bridge that makes everything come together seamlessly.She is fun, warm, and supportive, yet knows exactly when to step in and get things done. t meeting, Billy explained her services, which is basically taking care of everything. She really worked with the bride and groom to articulate their vision and have the wedding they wanted. One of Billy’s strengths (aside from being incredibly well organized), is that she knows the right vendors to go to. She recommended the venue, the florist, the band, the portrait artist, the photographer, and the photo bus. All were exceptional! Her team even put together and delivered the goody bags for the out-of-town guests In reality, everything was perfect. One example is that friends told us that at most events when the wait staff pass the hors d’oeuvres, you are lucky if they come to you once or twice in an hour. At our wedding, they were constantly out to make sure people got what they wanted. Bottom line (and this is from someone who is good at finding fault), I would not hesitate to hire DaSilva Event Design for anything. We were so pleased we gave her a 25% tip.

our venue first and I then had others telling me I needed to hire a wedding day coordinator. I had never really given this much thought until I realized how truly busy I would be and not be able to do it all myself. After looking through many different websites and not knowing who to go through for a coordinator, none of them just really "grabbed" me and made me feel like I'd want to work with them (no offense to any other coordinators). I started doing all of the planning on my own and first found my reception venue. Since we wouldn't be seeing our venue in person for several months out when we took a vacation down in FL last fall, I started to go through social media to look for reviews, videos, whatever I could find so we could get a feel for how our venue space and everything was. Low and behold, I came across a TikTok that Billy tagged my hired venue in that she was setting up a wedding at. In this TikTok her vibe, her energy, her vision, just literally everything truly made me really like her and really wanted her to coordinate my wedding. I reached out last summer and we had a zoom call and I knew instantly she was the one I wanted to hire. Even though I hired her for day of only, as I had already been doing most of the planning and decor shopping myself, when I tell you she understood the assignment, she truly did. From last year when I hired her until my wedding last week, this woman was there for literally ANYTHING I could want or ask. Not a single time when I had a question did she take more than 10 mins to respond (at most and I'm not kidding), but if she was busy and had a lot going on she let me know she got my text and it would take her a bit to reply. Not one time did I feel in the dark with not knowing something, or how something would be. If I started to freak out about something, she was right there to try and calm me down and reassure me that things would be fine and she would make sure of it. Being a destination bride is not easy when you are states away and can't be there to do certain things or see things when you need to, but she made it a breeze and was there to help with anything I could need. Getting all of my vendors on board, communicating with them for everything, and making things so much easier on our day of was such a blessing. The day of my wedding they were calling for storms, and weather had been atrocious in FL since we got into the state the week of our wedding and I was seriously stressing about rain. She knew I was stressed. She tried to make me feel at ease, and even on the day of, when the weather was being really crazy and so unpredictable, while she was at my venue setting up, and didn't get much reception in the building, she was SITTING IN HER CAR WATCHING THE WEATHER RADAR FaceTiming me, calming me down, telling me not to stress, and making sure everything was going to be good for our ceremony in a couple hours and going over backup plans with me that she already coordinated with our beach ceremony vendor. I literally couldn't have asked for anything more. Our day was BEAUTIFUL, every part of it, and I'm so very glad to have met her, and have her be a part of our day and bring my vision to life. If you truly want someone who will care and go to all ends for you, hire her people. You will not regret it.

Gulf Shores area It felt risky, because of all my vendors Billy was one of the only ones I hadn’t worked alongside before. But in our first interview, it was so clear how much Billy truly loves being a part of wedding days! And honestly, that’s what convinced me she was the one I wanted to hire. Too many brides overlook having vendors that really love their jobs- but speaking from experience, a vendor that loves their job, treats it as FAR more than just a job. You could tell how invested she was our entire wedding weekend! Volunteering to help pick up wedding guests who flew in from the airport, putting the decor together at home after leaving for the day, and really listening to all the things I had envisioned for the day. Billy and her entire team/family ;) were an actual dream the whole weekend and I’m still just blown away by all of the time and effort they poured into everything. They 10/10 have my recommendation as both a bride and a fellow vendor 🤍
