te-test was a BLAST and delicious. I wish we could do it again. They were quick to suggest adjustments when COVID hit to make our appetizers more covid-friendly. The food was amazing. Every single dish was raved about by guests (we got the tres mejor, salon, and parm chicken). We did a fun ice cream station instead of a cake, with treats and cupcakes on the side. They added popcorn to go which was a big hit. Highly recommend.

was phenomenal as our day of person at the venue. Because of Covid, some of our wedding plans had to change and Meghan helped change those details along the way with no hesitation. They also changed their serving methods to make sure people were safe and the spread of germs were minimal. They made easy, grab and go, self serve appetizers for their harvest table and desserts. There staff was fantastic at making sure my husband and I as well as our families were taken care of as we were doing our nightly duties. I would highly recommend David Alan Hospitality Group to anyone needing a catering service. They made our wedding experience priceless.

y, and Meghan was AMAZING to work with! She was available by email for all of my crazy questions/concerns and made sure that we were totally happy with our choices! The food was incredible and our guests raved about it. The bar options were totally flexible, which we loved. We ended up doing a top-shelf limited bar plus beer and wine and it was really affordable and delicious. Robin, our day-of coordinator, was wonderful and really helped calm the wedding-day nerves. I do wish that we went over things that were important to us - for example, I would have loved having groups of family members we needed pictures with ready to go during cocktail hour so that we didn't have to search and waste precious sunlight photo time. We can't say enough good things about Rebecca, our bridal attendant. She was so amazing and was somehow right by our side when we needed her, but never "in the way." I would definitely recommend splurging for the extra day-of service, but again, having clear discussions about things that are important to you. They set up the room beautifully (so much better than we could ever do) and made the day so perfect! We loved DAHG!

The most impressive part was that on the day of the wedding is I knew everything was going to be handled professionally and perfectly and that I didn’t have to worry about a thing!! I really enjoyed the day and could relax knowing that Carley and her team were taking care of all the details. The bartender, Robin was great! They had a bridal attendant to help things run smoothly with introductions and other details. They all seemed to genuinely love their jobs and it showed. Such wonderful people and the food was amazing!! They even had special meals for vegan guests. I can’t say enough good things about our experience and would highly recommended the DAHG for your next event!

We worked with Carly in advance of the wedding for renting ceremony chairs, extra tables and tablecloths, and all of our glasses and plates (the restaurant would have had to rent them as well and would have passed an additional charge on to us). We also had Nate for our rehearsal , and both of them were there to make the day of absolutely perfect! It was so nice to just enjoy the moment and know that if something needed to happen we could count on them. We could not have done it without them; all of the details were handled and it all went so smoothly. We would absolutely use David Alan for catering as well as planning other events in the future.

vent Supervisor’s page 3 days before our event "looking for waitstaff for a wedding this weekend- must have reliable transportation". Really??? The servers were so inexperienced it took over 2 hours to serve 100 dinners, and the meals were cold. No water refills all night. Several guests commented that the staff "don't know what they're doing". Perhaps the chefs were new recruits too. The meals weren’t even close to what we had at the tasting. Our salmon and chicken dishes were dry, "crispy" eggplant was mushy, "apple chestnut risotto" was undercooked white rice. We were horrified and embarrassed to see our guests leaving their dinners barely touched. Megan didn't stop by during the wedding at all, as she said she would. Once they had our final payment they didn't even show up for the final walkthrough, they did it by conference call. I would not hire David Alan for an event, especially a once in a lifetime wedding. They are unorganized and deceitful.

The food was amazing, we got so many compliments. Their package deals are great value for the amazing quality you receive (cocktail hour options, dinner menu, desserts & cake, rentals, etc.) Doing everything through them was the best decision we made. There is no way the day would have run as smoothly without them there! We cannot recommend them highly enough!

Robin and the rest of the staff were amazing. Our bridal attendant was right there for anything we needed. The food is fantastic!! We received so many compliments, especially on the sea bass (my personal favorite - I’m still drooling over it) and the prime rib. We had a few chefs at our wedding, so to have them praise the food really tells you how amazing David Alan is. They know the venue well, and worked great with our coordinator and other vendors. I did not worry about a single thing that day! I highly recommend David Alan - you will not be disappointed.

She was with us the whole wedding to get us whatever we needed or wanted while smiling the entire time. We love her! The team took care of the wedding from start to finish. From setting up exactly how we wanted it to breaking everything down gently at the end of the night and making sure everything got home safe and sound. They even brought back items from our wedding to their office so we did not have to worry about it until a few days after when we could pick it up. We love all DAC and are so lucky to have had them on our wedding day! We cannot recommend them enough!!

ned emails within a few hours and answered all of my million bullet point questions from my first inquiry email till the day of my wedding panic email. When we told them that we wanted to do a more casual, non traditional cocktail style reception, Meghan could not have been more helpful. Having had so much experience with weddings, she offered us sample menus and ideas that we could customize. When we wanted a particular Peruvian dish served (one that they had never done before), they were not only willing to do it for us, the chefs, including David Alan himself, went to a Peruvian restaurant for lunch to try the unfamiliar dish so that they would be able to make it taste as authentic as possible, and they did an amazing job! My husband and I still keep saying that we wish we could have taken containers of the food home so that we could still enjoy it. In addition, Brandi and Robin were both so extremely helpful the day of. Robin's calming nature was exactly what I needed that day and made everything flow and go exactly as it should between setting up, guiding us at the ceremony, helping to bustle my dress while feeding me ravioli (Brandi too!) and driving my mom back to the hotel when she missed the shuttle. I can't thank her enough. And Brandi always making sure I was eating, having a full drink in hand, fluffing my dress and for making sure the groom and I were doing okay at all times. You guys are all amazing and we thank you for making our wedding day so special and personal to us.

Our wedding was an ungodly combination of Russian and American culture, with fish and pickles shipped in from Brooklyn, bottles of vodka on the tables, an insane Master of Ceremonies, all held in a venue without a kitchen and without air conditioning. The number of curveballs that we threw at David Alan was huge. But Meghan, our liaison, just kept saying “yes” to every suggestion. (Or brainstorming with us to find a practicable way to get our vision across). Her response time to emails was incredible. Carley, our day-of coordinator, was truly the Napoleon of event planning, making the space look gorgeous while interfacing with many vendors, only a few of whom spoke English. Rebecca, our Bride-and-Groom Butler (I’m sure she has a different title) was a rock star, insisting my wife and I put food in our mouths when all we wanted to do was dance. Our wedding was much better than we dared hope, and it was all thanks to the professionalism, vision and enthusiasm of the DA crew. 11/10. If you are getting married in Connecticut, don’t be a fool: go with the pros.

itives were that my guests enjoyed the food and were served plentiful amounts. They did a great job serving my taco station and passing out the hors d'oeuvres. In addition, they had a very quick responsive time to emails. The bridal attendant Rebecca who was assigned to my husband and I was great and extremely attentive. However some of the cons were that it was frustrating seeing on my wedding day that they had put out the wrong linen colors outside and had the incorrect napkin color selected. I believe this is due to not having a proper labeling system because they have the same colors with multiple shade variations and finishes . They also were suppose to provide me with 75 gold votives for the dining room which they did not do. Also a little bit frustrating because I had purchased and provided them with 75 candles. The bartender working was not friendly and he did not make one of the signature drinks I had properly. They do advertise that you can customize anything you want but that is to a limited degree which I think is helpful to be aware of. Such as I originally wanted gelato at my wedding but I could only select from a few flavors. You can't just pick whatever you want. Also during dinner the service was staggered not everyone at one table was served at the same time. I thought for being a small wedding with 80 people they would have been able to do that. The issues I experienced were nothing major just some of personal my critiques. I would recommend using David Alan as everyone enjoyed the food and complimented me on it.

Our bridal attendant was also amazing. She made sure we were hydrated, ate, help bustle my dress, and made sure everything was going smoothly. I wish I could remember their names specifically, but the woman running the whole show made everything go like clock work. The day of the wedding, it was 100 degrees outside and our bar was outside. This didn't deter the girl running the bar. She was friendly and was a great bartender despite the long day in the heat! They even assigned a girl to look after my wife and I during the reception. She always had cold water for us, without us asking and really helped out so much. We couldn't be happier with David Alan and highly recommend them!

! Many of my guests have commented that the food and service were excellent. We also hired Robin as our Day-of Coordinator and my family all said that she was absolutely amazing at managing every single detail. Our bridal attendant (the server dedicated to my husband and myself - I feel terrible that I can't remember her name) was also amazing. She brought hors d'oeurves from the cocktail hour down to us while we were taking pictures so we wouldn't miss out. She always had water and drinks for us. She was understanding that we were obviously new to this and a little overwhelmed, so she instructed us on how to cut the cake. She even brought over 2 of every dessert to our sweetheart table so, again, we wouldn't miss out. Beyond all of that, when my mom was trying to bustle my dress she got overwhelmed and upset because it was complicated, and Robin and the bridal attendant were able to calm her down and take care of it for her - above and beyond what I expected! I also can't say enough about how Robin was the HBIC and made everything run smoothly. Before the wedding the advice people gave was that something is going to go wrong, just roll with it. I can honestly say (and my family agrees) nothing went wrong at all! And if it did, Robin handled it so that no one knew :) We threw curveballs at DAC like giant heavy glass doors to set up for the ceremony and 50 bubble guns to assemble for the send-off, and they took everything in stride and handled it without issue. We can honestly say that we had the wedding of our dreams, and it was all thanks to David Alan Catering! I would recommend them to anyone. We can't thank you enough!!

She kept making sure I was alright throughout the event and if there was anything I needed. She also came by herself to help set up the day before the wedding. I was anticipating doing all that myself and when I saw all the work she had done by herself I was completely blown away. She made the day go off without a hitch. We worked most closely with Meghan L’Heureux to plan the day and can’t speak highly enough about how helpful and knowledgeable Meghan was. I am a very detailed person when making decisions, especially in regard to such an important day, and can’t even count the number of emails I sent Meghan with what must have seemed like never ending questions and updates. Meghan handled all of this with professionalism and care as if they were the first time Meghan was being asked these questions, which I’m sure wasn’t the case. We had a wonderful experience with Meghan and DAC. Early on this started with a tasting where we asked to bring along a few family members to help make decisions about the meat options as we are two vegetarians. This experience was great and we really enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the plan for the day and taste everything, including the delicious cupcakes we had for dessert. From this point on Meghan communicated with us regularly and always responded promptly. The staff on the day of our wedding were fantastic and made everything so easy for us. We had to make a last minute change and move the day indoors when rain started and the DAC staff made this smooth as they packed up the planned bar and food and moved it all inside so quickly that the guests didn’t even notice. All of the meals, including a few special dietary requests, were fantastic and we continued to receive compliments from our guests well after the big day. The bar service, chef, and service staff all worked together seamlessly and kept everyone happy and full. I really can’t think of anything else we could have asked for and I wouldn’t change our decision to work with Meghan and DAC. The pricing and food was great, they were flexible to our needs, friendly, caring about our special occasion, and generally played a huge role in the success of the day. Easy choice as I can’t think of a single negative to share. Go with DAC!

Our bridal attendant Brandi was so sweet, and followed us all over the property of our wedding during cocktail hour, even holding two giant trays of food for us to eat off like tables! Robin checked in with me throughout the night, and made sure any hiccups were addressed. David Alan understood my vision from day 1, and I can’t say enough positive things. The candy/caramel/chocolate apples made by their pastry chef made for our favors were also absolutely amazing. I would 100% recommend David Alan to anyone.

ng (DAC) FORGOT to bring enough CAKE PLATES on the day of our wedding. They were able to get some cake served, but a lot of our guests went without cake. My wedding planner and I were NEVER made aware of this during the event. It was only after a family member pointed out to me that they did not get to try the cake was it then we realized this was going on. 2. A family member made our cake. Besides the expense, time and symbolic meaning this had to us, it breaks my heart that guests did not get to enjoy cake and SO MUCH cake went into the garbage. 3. At the end of the wedding after seeing the amount of cake that was left, I asked them that it be thrown away, and that we would pick up my family member’s trays at their facility. Shortly after I reminded them of this, they never called back. Weeks later I finally got a hold of DAC who told me “that they did not have the trays”. SO not only was my wedding cake not served, but after personally asking staff to store baking trays, these were lost. 4. Bartender was extremely moody and rude to our guests. 5. Oue d’ oeuvres were somewhat scarce, and it felt like the shrimp we personally provided ensured guests were not without food during the cocktail hour. 6. I had two special requests made: one that our beer and white wine be appropriately cold and that cocktail hour lines would be kept moving. Neither of these happened. Our beer was NOT cold, and lines during cocktail hour were too long. 7. Delivery of food to the tables was slow and disorganized. Unfortunately, Meghan was not physically present during our wedding and we were not sure who was in charge as their presence was not felt. Having someone like Meghan be in charge would have added more cohesion to the service. 8. After the wedding I was told by our wedding planners that it was extremely hard to work with DAC. Communication and planning was all one sided. I wouldn’t want to end this review without acknowledging the positive aspects of DAC: the food was delicious; they were great about tailoring to our needs (vegetarian, gluten free options); they accommodated extra family members at initial tasting; specialty cocktails were very good.

On that day, not only were we impressed with the food, but Meghan also put us at ease that she was already in contact with our other vendors. At no point in the wedding process did we EVER have to stress about anything and that is 100% because of David Alan, Meghan, and their coordination services. We got married during a very busy wedding week, but David Alan had time to answer our emails right away, and receive our wedding "props" at their offices. Our wedding day was a scorcher, but the David Alan staff was energetic, professional, and seemed truly happy for us. Special shoutout to Katie for being a wonderful bridal attendant! And the FOOD! Our guests could not stop raving about the food- especially the cake! The table settings were gorgeous, everything ran smoothly, and we were treated like royalty. If you are having a wedding, David Alan is the ONLY choice!! Thank you so much!!

the most important part for my husband and I. We needed them to understand our vision and put up with our crazy requests. My husband is originally from Jamaica and I am American with my relatives originally being from Poland and Ireland, so I really wanted our cultures to come through in our wedding. From our first tasting with Jess (The Amazing Chef) And Margot (Our Wonderful Host for the day) we knew we made the right decision as the food was spot on. I told Meghan going in that it would be very hard for me to be hands off when it came to my wedding. Wouldn't you know that the day of the wedding there was nothing for me to do. They took care of everything! From setting up my crazy decor ideas, to the execution of the food. No detail was missed. Darlene was our bridal attendant that day and she was amazing (Yes I said Bridal Attendant, she was with us the entire night, took care of anything we needed, and this is included when you book with them!!) The entire staff at David Alan was so warm and wonderful to work with on the day of. I heard so many compliments from my family about how they truly felt apart of the day with all of the personal care that was taken on them as well. I have worked with a lot of caterers being in this industry and by far David Alan is the best I have seen/worked with. Thank you again to Meghan, Jess, Margot, Darlene, and the entire David Alan Team that went in to making our wedding the best day of our lives.

ng delicious leftovers. Given all of this, there was no question that we wanted amazing and plentiful food at our wedding. An additional obstacle: our venue provided nothing other than the space, so everything (chairs, tables, lights!) was rented—greatly adding to our budget. We also wanted to have a 9-hour wedding, meaning feeding our guests for a long stretch of the day and within an already bursting budget. When our wedding planner led us to Meghan at David Alan Hospitality, we knew we had found the right match for our unique event. From the time of our first tasting, everything was low pressure and always impressive. Meghan was fast to offer alternatives, and suggestions as we happily tasted our way through barbecue brisket, lobster rolls, dumplings, cakes, and cookies. In the following months, as other decisions about the wedding became solidified, necessitating additions and edits to our original menu, Meghan was responsive and always open to working with us to ensure that we would get exactly what we wanted while keeping our 175 guests happy. As is common, there were also guests with specific food restrictions: gluten free, vegan, etc. Meghan worked with us to ensure that everyone was well fed and taken care of as we sang, danced, and partied the day away. For dinner, we had asked different loved ones to provide tablecloths from their homes to honor the places where we have celebrated different events. We wrote in our wedding program that we wanted each table to evoke the warmth of a family meal. Having David Alan as your caterer feels like that: the love of a really good and tasty family gathering.

She had great recommendations and suggestions for everything from vendors to the day of timeline and floor plan! When things started to get stressful or overwhelming Meghan was able to ease my mind with one email (usually returned within hours which was extremely impressive)! We had a terrific food tasting and the pleasure of meeting David Alan himself who was SO friendly and offered to make us absolutely any kind of food we wanted at our wedding. On our wedding day the David Alan staff made sure everything went perfectly, every server we met was friendly and professional! Rosie provided our personal bride and groom service and was incredible, she made sure we got to try all of our apps and always had beverages. Even right before I walked down the aisle Rosie made sure I wasn't thirsty (it was a humid day). Thank you so much to everyone at David Alan Hospitality, we owe our perfect day to you!

lessly. While planning our wedding, I got quotes from dozens of caterers. David Alan was, without a doubt, the most organized, professional, personalized service we saw. On top of that, they were a great value. Trust me, you won't find a better caterer. Meghan, our contact, anticipated every wedding detail (even details outside of her food-related responsibility). She singlehandedly coordinated linen and place-setting rentals, venue logistics, licenses, permits, literally a thousand things that you'd never even imagine before embarking on planning a wedding. I can't even begin to express how much David Alan was the logistical backbone of our entire event. They're definitely NOT just another vendor. They're a partner and consultant to plan and execute your perfect event.

The staff was all very professional and friendly; our guests enjoyed the food and appreciated the attention to any serious food allergies. The food was absolutely delicious. One of the best aspects was the bar service. We wanted to serve our homebrewed beer, which some caterers did not want to deal with. David Alan was very accommodating, and their bartender seemed excited to learn about our beers and to tell our guests about them. I would highly recommend using David Alan!

From the delicious and unique appetizers, to the hand passed cocktails, to the perfectly plated and timed meal, our guests were well fed and served with the utmost professionalism. Julia, our bridal attendant, worked like a ninja! She was always there when we turned to look for her, yet was never imposing. She made sure my wife and I felt like the Queens for the day! The servers, bartenders, and utility staff worked all day long with incredible professionalism and grace. Their extremely reasonable pricing covered food, open bar, linens, plates, silverware, service, and gratuity. No hidden fees for extras down the line - everything we were getting was clear up front.

id! 4 months before our wedding in June 2011 we sat down with David (after him and I emailed back and forth a little) and he was very willing to work within our budget. We got such AMAZING food for the price we paid. I did not have to worry abotu anything and the presentation was modern and clean which is totally our speed. We received so many compliments on the food and my husband is very particular about food and he was very impressed and pleased. My husband and brother both work in the restaurant industry and to get compliments from both of them should mean alot! Our wedding meal will never be forgotten!!!
