Guitar music is romantic, classic, stylish, and complements any event – dinners, cocktail hours, corporate events, art openings, weddings, or receptions. Instrumental guitar music and finger-style playing fills space with beautiful ambient sound that allows conversation to happen without the potential distraction of vocals. The intimate sound of the solo guitar provides an elegant atmosphere unequaled by other live music experiences. WEDDING DAY MUSIC. Solo classical guitar music is an elegant addition to wedding ceremonies. Now with a battery powered amplifier David can bring music to your outdoor ceremony wherever it may be held. Intimate and romantic, the guitar can be used for the pre-ceremony, the processional, the recessional, and at any time during the ceremony. Guitar music can also be incorporated into a cocktail hour or dinner before a band or disc jockey begins playing. Arrangements for solo guitar have been made of most wedding music favorites. If there is a special piece of music the bride would like, solo guitar arrangements can be made if requested in advance. Duets with guitar and flute, violin or voice are also available. AN EXPERIENCED, PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN. David Coester is a classically trained guitarist and teacher. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Guitar Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and spent 18 years in New York City. In addition to teaching, David plays regularly at private parties, weddings, and gallery openings, and has given concert lectures for audiences at the Chautauqua Institution among other organizations. His most recent public recital was held at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House. He has also performed at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D. C., the Basilica of San Clemente in Rome, Italy, and the Seoul Arts Center in Korea. PURE QUALITY SOUND.. David uses the state-of-the-art Bose Cylindrical Radiator Speaker which produces an exceptionally natural sound that radiates evenly throughout an audience of up to several hundred. Even at low volume levels, the sound reaches every corner of the room equally. While live music creates a special ambiance that turns a typical evening out with friends and family into an event, it should not overwhelm casual conversation. The Bose system allows your guests the opportunity to converse naturally (even if they are directly next to the speaker) or pay close attention to the music if they choose

We had such a great experience with David playing acoustic for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He took the time to understand what we wanted and even learned a new song that we wanted for the bride walk down the aisle. Everyone enjoyed his music during cocktail hour and we couldn't have been happier! Highly recommend David!

David did a wonderful job at our wedding which was admittedly chaotic! We got married in a remote area of the Catskills with no cell service in the pouring rain but David's music helped the entire experience feel calm and ethereal and sentimental despite all this. He learned two new songs for our processional and recessional and it couldn't have been better. Highly recommend!

My husband and I loved working with David for our wedding! I am very particular about music so I was prepared to annoy the s*** out of whoever we hired. Fortunately, David was so sweet, flexible, and professional at every turn. We had a great first call during which he told me about his services. We opted to have him play the guitar for the prelude and processional. He sent his repertoire, and we were happy to see that he already had several of our favorite songs included – even the song I was dreaming of walking down the aisle to! Though we didn’t need it, he still offered to learn anything additional. We also discussed how he would set up all of the sound equipment for ceremony/reception/music/toasts, but that we would be in charge of the music we played. We put together a bunch of paylists on my ipad and David was able to hook us up while we danced the night away! He has a great sense of humor and a calm demeanor which are both a godsend on such a stressful day! His guitar playing was beautiful and he helped the whole night run very smoothly. I would definitely recommend him, especially if you want total control of the music for your big day!

David did a fantastic job at our wedding (6/30/23). Everyone LOVED the music during our ceremony, he had tons of songs to choose from, and he learned my walk down song. It was perfect!

I've seen my father cry 6 times in my life, MAX. One of them was the instant he heard the song that David so graciously agreed to learn and play on my wedding day, which also reduced me to tears. I can't overstate how much David contributed to our special day, and how incredibly flexible and helpful he was in his song possibilities. Truly an expert musician who you'd be lucky to have perform at your wedding.

David's guitar playing was fantastic and definitely appropriate for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He instructed the best man on how to navigate the stereo system and microphone during the dinner and reception. David wad prompt and helpful. He even learned a song on the guitar that we wanted for our recessional and it was fantastic!

David is a true professional. He was communicative, adapted to changes easily, and was a joy to work with. My wife and I worked with David for a small outdoor wedding that involved a few location changes and learning three new songs. The arrangements he learned for our wedding were perfect and everything went smoothly the day of. Many of our friends and family commented on how much they enjoyed his music. He really added to the beauty of our wedding day! Also, for any other LGBTQ+ couples out there, David is affirming and supportive of queer weddings which is something that was critical for us when booking vendors. Thank you, David!

David was absolutely amazing! He played during our ceremony and during cocktail hour. He even learned a few songs requested by us to be played during the recessional and processional. And not just any songs, a theme song from our favorite show and a White Stripes song. He really blew us away! Pricing was reasonable as well, although he could charge more because the service he provided was phenomenal. I highly recommend using David for your event.
