Davis Event Space offers you multiple ways to celebrate your happily ever after! Our beautiful, historic wedding venue is one of the most affordable venues available in the Kansas City Metro area. We can accommodate both larger weddings without being overly crowded or smaller weddings wanting an intimate feel. Our wedding packages include full use of our entire venue (Davis Ballroom and Harlan Loft) and we help you plan and create the atmosphere you are wanting for your wedding day.
Designed especially for weddings, Davis Event Space has everything you need for a memorable celebration. The impressive Davis ballroom, with its natural light, spans over 5,700 square feet and showcases a contemporary industrial-chic interior. Exposed brick walls line the ballroom, while custom built chandeliers and Edison bulbs give the space charm. If you want to make a dramatic entrance, the grand staircase is perfect for captivating your guests' attention. The Harlan Loft/bridal suite is perfect for the bride and bridesmaids to getting ready in with its natural light. The guys have their own changing room as well. Once you have gathered in this beautiful event space, you can enjoy an evening of dining and dancing. The custom bar will help you stay refreshed with your favorite beverages, while the intimate outdoor patio is great for taking in the fresh air.

The Davis Event Space was amazing! It was absolutely perfect our wedding reception. Jill and her staff were so incredible to work with and made the day go so smoothly. I cannot express how wonderful they were. My guests loved the look of the venue and were very impressed to find this space in Harrisonville. I cannot recommend this space enough!
We had a vision for our dream wedding that we never thought we could achieve with our budget. Jill and the staff at the Davis Event Space went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations. Jill was exceptional—answering questions, helping us find vendors, assisting with décor, and making the night more perfect than we could have imagined. We were incredibly lucky to find her and connect with SuperNova through her, allowing us to have arcade games at our wedding. Without Jill, we would've had to scrap that idea.
We loved that Davis alone could handle the bar, bartenders, décor, arbors, and so much more. This took a huge weight off our shoulders. The venue itself is spacious and beautiful, with a rich history that makes it a special place to get married. The upstairs bridal suite is gorgeous and has everything you need to prepare and relax with your bridal party. The groom’s room is downstairs separating the bride and groom while having enough space to stretch out.
If you need any more reasons to choose Davis, know that Jill is there for you throughout the entire process. She checks in regularly, ensures you have everything you need, and goes out of her way to help. Jill makes sure your night is everything you've dreamed of. I can't recommend Davis enough. If you want a beautiful night in a charming location steeped in history, this is the venue for you. They ensure every detail is taken care of, making your special day truly unforgettable.
I’ve been trying to find the words that describe just how perfect this venue, Jill, and her staff are. While words won’t do justice on just how amazing everything and everyone is I’m going to do my best to explain.
My husband and I got married October 31, 2024. 🎉 We had first viewed this venue back on January 27, 2024. This was the first venue we toured but it wasn’t the only venue we toured. I can, with all confidence, say choosing Davis Event Space was the easiest decision my husband and I made during the planning process. Here are just a few things that made it such an easy decision for us:
1 - JILL. JILL. JILL. She was so welcoming, easy to communicate with, and willing to answer any and all questions my husband and myself had.
2 - The Venue. The venue was so perfectly beautiful. It was so open, warm, and had so much to offer. Regardless of the vision you have for your wedding this venue has everything to offer to fit within your vision.
3 - Handicap Accessibility. Between my husband and I we both have family members that are in wheelchairs or don’t have the easiest time with stairs. We had 13 venues on our list to tour and of them Davis Event Space was the ONLY one that was actually accessible for the needs of our family members.
4 - The separated space for bride and groom. My husband and I were able to go all day without seeing each other until it was time for our first look. having the bridal suite upstairs with the loft not only helped with that but also gave so much extra space for the girls and moms to get ready and feel comfortable and not have to be on top of one another to get ready.
5 - Granted we didn’t meet the other staff until the day of but holy smokes are they such a pleasure to work with. The bartenders and the helper were absolutely beautiful souls. We had roughly 100 people show up to the event and since the wedding we’ve heard nothing but RAVING reviews about Jill and her staff - their professionalism, their friendliness, and just how welcomed they made everyone feel.
We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful venue. I will forever recommend this venue for weddings, corporate events, or any other events that you are wanting to host. You will NOT regret having your event at such a beautiful location ran by the most beautiful of souls.
Davis Event Space, thank you for not only giving us a place to have such a magical and perfect wedding, but also thank you for all of the help you and your staff offered. We haven’t been able to stop talking about any and all of it.
Not only is the this space absolutely GORGEOUS but the owners are just the sweetest and truly go above and beyond for their couples. Being in the wedding industry myself, I've had the privilege of working with them on numerous weddings and it's always such a JOY!!! 🤍
Booking the Beck Event Space was our best decision! The venue is totally gorgeous. We purchased a package that was reasonably priced for all of the things included (decor, DJ, lighting, linens) which helped everything to run smoothly and made planning much easier. Julie was full of helpful advice for planning and preparing and was there to help out on wedding day. Definitely consider booking the Beck!
My wedding was in March 11th, of 2023. I am still processing the magic that was created by the Beck Event staff. From start to finish, the Beck event staff were very communicative, professional, personable, and catered to our needs to make sure that our day was memorable. Almost every weekend we meet up with our family members, there is a discussion about just how wonderful the wedding was, and we owe a lot to Scott and Jill who worked so hard to make our once in a lifetime event as great as it was. There was one issue though. Scott and Jill were way too incredible. Haha. Our wedding at the Beck was absolutely perfect! The venue itself is gorgeous, and the nearby Harrisonville square is a great location for taking pictures. Jill was so helpful and organized throughout the entire planning process and during the event. She truly went above and beyond to make sure that our day went exactly how we wanted it to go, and she made it possible for us to enjoy our day instead of stressing over the details. Thank you, Jill!

Best Wedding Venue out there!!
This venue had been my dream venue for over a year! This space is absolutely stunning and needs minimal decor which was a huge perk! Scott Beck was the absolute best to work with. He is super friendly, extremely organized and professional. This man knows what he is doing! Every part of this venue was thought out perfectly! The bridal suite was beautiful! Everything about my wedding day was absolutely perfect!!!!
Jill and Scott were FANTASTIC! The Beck Event Space was the perfect space for our wedding, we couldn't imagine working with or having the event anywhere else.
The space itself requires little to no decoration because of all of the hard work that Jill and Scott put into their building.
Jill was so thoughtful and helpful throughout the entire planning process. From giving us extra time to work on decorating to all the emails and walkthroughs, it became clear to us very quickly that this wasn't just a business transaction. She was so kind, compassionate, and went above and beyond with everything. To Jill, this was so much more. When the day finally came, we LOVED having her with us. Both Scott and Jill spent the entire wedding day with us at the venue to make sure that everything was okay and to take care of any last-minute details. We will always recommend the Beck Event Space to our friends and loved ones.

I used this venue for my wedding in the middle of the COVID pandemic. Scott and the team could not have been more flexible, responsive, and easy to work with. Not only was Scott great in pushing my wedding to a new date but he was helpful with each step along the way. If you want to make the stress and hard work easier, I can not recommend The Beck enough.
Additionally, this venue is absolutely stunning and was so incredible in making my dream wedding come to life!
From a cost perspective, you can save thousands of dollars on decor, flowers, lighting etc. because the venue itself is so gorgeous and the brick walls, tall ceilings, and lighting bring so much charm.
Long Review just shows how much I LOVE this venue: This is absolutely the BEST venue you will find in the KC area and surrounding suburbs. The venue is designed in such a romantic way: brick walls, warm lighting, a garage door opening for theatrics, modern yet oh so sophisticated. Every guest member who came to celebrate my marriage could not contain their adoration of the venue. They couldn’t leave the venue without letting my parents know how beautiful they found the Beck venue to be. They used words such as breathtaking, stunning, beautiful, romantic, and intimate.
The owners, Jill Freeland and Scott Beck, went out of their way to assure I could hold my wedding on the date I had originally planned prior to COVID and with the price I had budgeted! I cannot say enough great things about Jill’s kind and joyful personality. Jill worked with my mom and I personally throughout the entire process, answering our many (maaaaany) questions, and equipping us with much needed insight to throwing a wedding as well as giving us realistic expectations.
The owners stayed throughout the entire wedding day/night to ensure everything ran smoothly. During pre-wedding photos outside, it started to rain and my bridal party were a few blocks away. Scott had gathered umbrellas and orchestrated the groomsmen to help get the ladies back to the venue- wet free! During the actual reception, my dress ripped and I had to disappear for a bit while it was getting fixed, Jill was there to help orchestrate a quick plan B to make it seem I had disappeared for a reason.
As the bride, when I look back on my wedding all I can think of to describe it would be the word, fairytale. The Beck Event Space is the ultimate one-stop-shop:
- Have your rehearsal dinner upstairs the night prior
- Have all your bridesmaids get ready in the gorgeous natural lighting suite upstairs the day of
- Have your wedding ceremony on one side of the huge space, with a stunning reception on the other side
- Bride and Groom can walk down a grand entrance staircase at the reception
- Have the caterers set up in the private kitchen to prepare to serve
- Throw an epic exit with sparklers along the huge sidewalks in front of the venue

The Beck Event Space is absolutely beautiful! It practically decorates itself and provides endless opportunities for photo ops. Jill and Scott are so helpful and willing to make your wedding day the best it can be! I would recommend this venue to anyone and I'm so thankful my husband and I were able to celebrate the start of our marriage in this space!

Beck Event Space is a wonderful wedding venue. The staff is beyond exceptional. They take their time to make your day beyond special! They are inside all of the details of the day and care about their couples. Jill was incredibly flexible, as we were a COVID couple. She reached out to us to accommodate our wedding and constantly asked how she can help. I recommend Beck Event Space to every couple I come in contact with.
We recently held our wedding at The Beck Event Space and can't recommend it enough. Jill was our primary contact and was always quick to respond to answer all of our crazy questions. The Beck Event Space was a great find for us, we knew what wanted something in the southern part of the metro and we stumbled upon this amazing gem! The Beck is exactly what we were looking for and the best part is the amazing owners. Jill made us feel so special and answered ALL our questions. We had the perfect day for our wedding and a huge part of that was because of the amazing team at The Beck.
Beck event space was an AMAZING experience!! Cannot say enough good things about the event space - warm, stylish, versatile - and so many bathrooms to make guests comfortable!! The best part of all is working with Jill, the event space coordinator / representative - picked the place literally because of her sweet, pitch-in & make-things-go-well attitude:) I know she helped smooth a lot of wrinkles, and made the whole process easier...highly recommend!! Very up-front & easy to work with!
What a beautiful space! We recently got married here and the venue is absolutely gorgeous. The whole team at the Beck were great! Scott and Jill were both easy to work with, friendly, and provided us with some ideas if we needed help. We had a wonderful wedding and were so happy that we chose The Beck as our venue!
Welcoming, warm, open, and truly beautiful. We used the upstairs for our rehearsal dinner, the getting ready space for the ladies during the day, and had the ceremony and reception in the same space. We absolutely maximized our time at the Beck and used it for nearly all of our wedding needs. Jill is very friendly. Scott worked with our coordinator and made our day go smoothly. Scott is very detail orientated and always had guiding questions for us when conferencing. In pictures, the venue really shines. We could not be happier with our choice of venue. Simple, clean, and perfect.
My husband and I cannot say enough good things about The Beck! From the very first walk-through with Scott to the moment we left our reception this past Saturday, everything went so smoothly. We're from the KC Northland, and after touring several venues in the River Market and Crossroads areas that seemed too small, we drove the 45 minutes out to The Beck and were sold almost immediately.
We loved the exposed brick and interesting light fixtures that give it that industrial/loft-type vibe and that it had the space that was lacking in a lot of the other venues. Another selling point for future brides? The Beck has the most gorgeous bridal suite! My girls and I had so much fun hanging out and getting ready in there, and there was more than enough space for us to do hair and makeup for everyone, all at once.
We got so many compliments from all of our wedding guests and working with Scott was so easy and stress free. If you're looking for a great indoor wedding venue, make the drive out to Harrisonville. You will not be disappointed in The Beck!
So happy we chose The Beck Event Space! It was a beautiful place to get married, (also gorgeous for outdoor pictures. They have a cute downtown square and park that has a nice lake. ) Scott and Jill were so accommodating and so nice! They really helped make everything go perfectly. There are so many gorgeous venues in the KC area - the Beck being one of them - but the difference the Beck has over all the other pretty venues is Jill and Scott. They are some of the sweetest, coolest people my husband and I have ever had the privilege of meeting. To be honest, they made us feel like we were royals having a ball at their palace. :) They genuinely care about your day being the BEST day ever and are so accommodating to ensure your wedding day goes as smoothly as possible - not only for you & your spouse but also for your guests. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate with our family and friends!
The Beck was perfect for our daughter’s wedding. The venue was beautiful and the service they provided was outstanding. There wasn’t a question or a problem we threw at them, that they didn’t have an answer for. All out guests loved the Beck.
So thankful we found The Beck! We held our wedding reception for about 350 guests there in March. The moment my (now) husband and I walked inside, we knew it was the spot we were looking for! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the space was thoughtfully and excellently designed with a wedding photographer's eye. Couldn't have been happier with our choice and our night there.

From the moment we toured The Beck, my husband and I were in love. The venue was the perfect size for our 150 guests. In the reception space we had more than enough room for all the tables and for dancing. The bridal suite and loft were beyond amazing to have, since my bridesmaids and I were there all day getting ready! The venue is only a 2-3 minute drive from the city park with small lake, which is where we took all our wedding pictures. We worked with mostly with Jill and she was great, and I was so grateful for her and Scott the day of! They were up and around the whole time helping us and our vendors! Overall, The Beck truly made it the day of our dreams!
The Beck was such an amazing venue! The staff are so knowledgeable and easy to work with. All of my family and guests were blown away by how beautiful the space was! I was nervous about my large guest count, but they were able to offer creative ideas to accommodate all of my needs and ideas. I would definitely recommend The Beck!

This place was amazing, my husband and I and all the guests thought it was beautiful. Scott, the owner, was so accommodating and easy to work with and had great communication. He made sure everything was just the way we preferred. I'm so thankful for the Beck event space and wouldn't have wanted my wedding anywhere else.
The Beck was amazing! They worked above and beyond for everything I wanted for our big day. They were the kindest people, and really cared about our wedding going as perfectly as possible. I would recommend them with my whole heart with NO hesitation.
We met the Beck crew when the venue was still undergoing renovation in January 2017. At that point, it looked like crumbling pile of rubble, but the Becks had a vision and we could see it in their blueprints and design prototypes. We were not disappointed. The Beck Event Space in its completed form is stunning. We did very little to decorate the space and it still felt rustic and magical. The venue was plenty big enough to hold our 225 guests, with room for a dinner buffet and sizeable dance floor.
The bridal suite is also an added bonus that we really appreciated. It was the perfect space for the bridal party to get ready in the morning and to hold some pre-ceremony bridal photos.
Probably the most challenging part about holding our reception at The Beck was the minimal availability of area taxis or car share services, like Uber or Lyft. Harrisonville is located 37 miles from Downtown Kansas City, which was a bit of a drive for our out of town guests.
Scott was great to work with, he was always very responsive. In fact, that’s what led us to book a tour with The Beck in the first place -- Scott responded with a phone call within 15 minutes of receiving my initial email with a request for more information. Highly recommend The Beck to anyone looking for a big and unique reception venue.
It is an old downtown building turned into a venue location for weddings, ceremonies and more. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It is a beautiful location and very elegant inside. Scott is very welcoming and informative of everything you'll need to know before your Big Day. We enjoyed having him there on our wedding day to help things move along and go smoothly.
My husband and I held our wedding at the Beck Event Space on August 12th, we could not have asked for a better venue or a more perfect night! From the time we signed the contract, to the date of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch, including a last minute change of date that moved our event up four months! Scott Beck was great to work with and made sure that we had everything in line for our big day, including emails to check in and even helping us track down a couple of last minute decor items like table clothes the week of the wedding. All of our guests raved all night about how beautiful and perfect the venue was. When we signed out contract the venue was in the final stages of construction and we could not be more happy about the final outcome. I would recommend the Beck to anyone looking for a place to have their ceremony and/or reception!
The Beck Event Space was the loveliest place for my daughter's wedding. The entire experience far exceeded our expectations and we could not be happier with how beautiful everything was! The staff/owners went out of their way to help us with every detail.
The price was unbelievable considering how amazing this space is.
It was so easy to decorate because the space itself is just breathtaking.
The many windows provide beautiful natural lighting during the afternoon and then the space is stunning inside once they turn on the evening lights. Our photographer said you couldn't take one bad picture in the space!
They have thought of every detail from a large bridal suite, plenty of space for family to gather, a large industrial kitchen and an incredible space for the wedding and reception without having to flip or move tables or chairs.
We would highly recommend this venue. It was a magical evening we will never forget. The Beck Event Space helped us to create the wedding she had always dreamed of!
