Day Dream Events by Shawna Pacheco LLC is built on over 35 years of experience in the industry. I have used this time to develop a process that celebrates each of her clients’ individuality while streamlining the practice of planning events big and small. My knowledge comes from my career in a variety of different roles, including a D.J. business owner, California licensed cosmetologist, catering manager, general manager, and the opening of over five major restaurants in the bay area. I am also ordained to marry in both Nevada and California. All of these different aspects play into wedding planning in a different ways and understands them intimately. I can help you make the most of them for your momentous event.
Day Dream Events offers a number of packages depending on the needs of your event. You can consult with myself to figure out which package works best for you. We can provide full event planning, partial planning, or day-of coordination. Your direction for your big day will be entirely dictated by you and we will be there to support you every step of the way.

Shawna and her staff are absolutely amazing! She helped us plan our dream wedding at Valhalla in August 2024 and we had the most beautiful day! Shawna was very organized and helpful throughout the planning process and was always quick to respond. We planned our wedding from out of state so she was very helpful in picking up various items and dropping them off on her way in and out of South Lake Tahoe during our wedding week. We were extremely impressed with all of her vendor recommendations and her bartenders and staff were equally impressive. Our wedding was completely stress free and she kept everything on time and organized. We would highly recommend Shawna if you are getting married in the Reno-Tahoe area! We really got to know her well and will certain miss chatting and catching up every month.

Shawna and her team were amazing, we hired them as a day of coordinator and as bartenders. Shawna did a great job communicating with us and ensured the day ran smoothly. She even made sure we were eating and staying hydrated during our busy, amazing day by brining us cocktail hour snacks and water. Shawna was wonderful to work with, and we could not think of a more perfect wedding coordinator. She kept things fun and organized. The Day Dream Events staff were all so kind and supportive.

Shawna was very attentive and personable with everyone at the wedding. She made sure the set up was exactly how we wanted it as bride and groom. She was very detailed in her décor and made sure I (the bride) always had what I needed when I needed it. She was prompt to be sure we got some alone time after the wedding ceremony and provided food quickly for us to socialize like we wanted. Her staff was amazing as well, very friendly.

I was going to try not to hire a day of coordinator for my wedding, and WOW would I have regretted that. Shawna was an absolute necessity for my wedding day to go smoothly. She made sure everything went so smoothly. She did an amazing job of guiding the entire day. 10/10!! I would use Shawna 100x over again. Our wedding this past weekend was everything we wanted and more, and Shawna made sure everything went as planned!! We had a rather large wedding and she managed it wonderfully. From the rehearsal, to set up, to take down, she did it all! She even personally helped me tie up my dress when the bustles broke. She was professional and also fun. Leading up to our wedding she was easy to get ahold of and answered all our questions. We can not thank her enough for all that she did to make our wedding day amazing. Thank you Shawna so much!!
Shawna exceeded our expectations. Not only did she manage our vendors, but she made sure my husband and I had food, drinks, and water throughout the entire night. I would recommend her 1000 times over!! We are so thankful for her and credit her for how smooth our big day was.

Shawna is INCREDIBLE! She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day went smoothly and was wonderful to work with. Shawna handled all of the set up and tear down of decorations, communicated with our other vendors, managed the day before walkthrough/ rehearsal, helped with logistics related to being from out of town, and checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. We couldnt have done it without her!
Shawna sure does know what she is doing! I had an immediate connection with Shawna as soon as I met her and knew she was the person to help us with our kid’s special day. I now consider her a dear friend.
From the very first day, Shawna clearly explained how she would be able to help us & what she and her staff could provide for us. She was very open to answering any questions that we had, willing to talk or text anytime we needed to, we also met on several occasions to discuss options to how things could be done. Her recommendations were spot on! If she says you need it, you really do!
Shawna and her staff were very professional. Her assistant Lisa was a doll! Her serving staff, Danielle and Maddie (there was one more brought in at the last minute, I apologize I do not remember the name). Eric, the bartender, was awesome! They all sure knew how to get their job done with efficiency!!
The whole team helped with set up, decorating, moving furniture, chairs, etc., everyone had a smile on their face and moved so fast you would not believe. I cannot say enough how extremely happy I am that we used Shawna and her team.
The rehearsal was a breeze with Shawna‘s coordination. It was fast efficient, and everybody had fun! We used her new wedding day timeline, and it helped tremendously with how the day would flow, it was spot on!
If you only need a little help or if you need a lot of help, Shawna is your coordinator extraordinaire! As I said before, she is now a dear friend, and I would do anything for her! She made the kids wedding spectacular! I do add that they was a few glitches along the way (as there always is!) as we ended up getting married in a snowstorm on 5/4/2024, but it was beautiful and everything turned out spectacular!

Shawna was great to work with! She was laid back and got everything done beautifully. The decor was displayed just as I envisioned. She kept us on schedule and I was so thankful for her calm demeanor. She also took the time to add some wonderful touches to our hotel room for when we got back to the room!

Shawna from Day Dream Events was a godsend during our wedding planning and on the day itself. Leading up to the wedding, she was always there to answer any questions I had, no matter how small or complex. As the big day approached, Shawna took over communications with our vendors, ensuring that the final week was as stress-free as possible for us. Although she couldn't attend our rehearsal in person, she provided an assistant who handled everything flawlessly, proving Shawna's dedication to ensuring everything went smoothly.
On the wedding day, despite the overwhelming amount of decor we had planned, Shawna managed to keep her cool and get everything set up beautifully. Her efforts didn't stop at decoration; Shawna ensured the entire ceremony and reception ran without a hitch, coordinating all the moving parts seamlessly. I interviewed easily half a dozen day-of coordinators for my wedding, and Shawna was a stand out from the first conversation. I was told by many coordinators what they will do, and a long list of what they will not do. Shawna made it clear that she was here for whatever was needed. That initial conversation was backed up 200% on the day of my wedding. She is an amazingly hard worker, professional and (importantly) kind. I really do attribute the stress-free wedding I was able to enjoy to her. I could not recommend her more to be your coordinator. Thank you, Shawna. You’re the best.

THANK GOD FOR SHAWNA! Shawna was the best day-of coordinator I could have asked for. She had great communication with our vendors the week of the wedding so everything was well organized day of. Her and her assistant made all of our decor look beautiful and just as I had pictured for our event. The day was perfect and she went above and beyond to make it great. Thank you Shawna! Shawna is THE BEST! She was so on top of everything I cannot image our wedding being anything close to what it was without her. She made it perfect and stress free. She was so kind, sweet, and laid back which made it so easy to work with her. Everything from the set up and decor, to looking over contracts. She handled everything with such grace. There are so many little things that go into a wedding and she thought of them all. We received so many compliments about her from our guests, they even noticed how on top of everything she was!

We hired Shawna as our day of coordinator for our wedding this past Saturday and my husband and I are SO thrilled we did. First, Shawna did an excellent job of connecting with us and planning months before our wedding. We were able to connect via Zoom as we had a destination wedding and she made us feel heard and thoughtfully listened to our ideas about our wedding. A couple weeks before the wedding, Shawna helped us with organizing our timelines, our shuttles, and contacted all of our vendors that way everyone was on the same page. On the day of the wedding, Shawna was FANTASTIC! I can honestly say that our wedding would not have gone as smoothly if she was not there. She handled everything, every detail, every worry I had. She decorated our venue so beautifully and we didn’t even need to instruct her on it. She very kindly handled guests and made sure they were in the right spot at the right time. She made sure that we were on time for our grand entrance, the toasts, my bouquet toss. But the absolute BEST thing she did was packing everything the night of the wedding so that we wouldn’t have to worry about anything the following day. It was such a phenomenal experience working with her. My husband and I are so happy we hired her. If you’re wanting a professional who will handle things day of the wedding and also feel like family, this is the girl for you! Thank you so much Shawna!!

Shawna went above and beyond on multiple occasions prior to our wedding day including checking out the venue (we live 2500 miles away), taking calls and having meetings with us whenever we had questions, and make suggestions to assist in us having the best day. She is detail oriented and was really great during our rehearsal. I would recommend Shawna for those getting married in the Lake Tahoe/Carson Valley area.
Shawna is amazing and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a coordinator. She went above and beyond for us. We hired her for day off but she helped us beyond just that. We can't say enough positive remarks about Shawna. We hired her for partial wedding planning and the entire experience start to finish was top notch. Shawna style is organized and with a relaxed approach that kept us at ease every step of the way. She is patient, easy going, capable, and has a great eye and ear for excellence in other vendors. Everyone she recommended we loved! When the inevitable mishaps occurred, Shawna effortlessly and seamlessly moved to creative plan B with confident reassurance. If we could give 10 stars, we would!
I cannot say enough about how absolutely wonderful Shawna is as a wedding planner. Not only did she help me with vendors and go on appointments with me, she set up the reception venue, orchestrated all events during the ceremony, made sure everything was perfect and on time and according to schedule at the reception hall. The next morning... Shawna was at the reception hall at 8am, tearing down decorations, collecting linens, boxing up items and helping us pack up everything and get it into the truck! Do wedding planners even do this?
Guests raved about her personable service, professionalism and how she was so cool, no pressure, no hiccups--this is just what she does. And she made it look effortless.
Shawna also officiated our wedding, helped us with vows to make it personalized and charming.
If you are getting married...you need a best friend. My best friend was, without a doubt, Shawna! Weddings can be stressful, but I had the luxury of drinking mimosas and visiting with bridal party, guests, etc. because I had no worries-- nothing to stress over except the calories in the cake!
If you have the opportunity to hire Shawna--do it! You will not be disappointed!! I'd give 50 stars if it would let me. She's a gem.

Shawna keeps her cool even if your bridal party is a mess and keeps things moving and organized perfectly. She remembers all the small things you forget (like snacks while you’re getting ready) and frequently calls to go over all plans and coordinate with vendors. Nobody does it better

I didn’t think I needed a wedding coordinator - then I met Shawna! She had so many excellent ideas for how to make our backyard wedding beautiful, professional, and the happiest day! As a type A bride, I couldn't have been more grateful to have someone as great as Shawna as our day of coordinator! She handled everything and all my stresses were gone the day of our wedding.
Shawna handled our timeline very well-- always leading me from point A to point B while being in contact with the vendors and the wedding party. She kept me hydrated and fed, and she always knew where my things were when I needed them.
Our wedding was at Whitney Peak, and set up was a breeze. All our family had to do was drop the decor off to to Shawna, and she handled all the rest. She also took care of our gifts and special decorations after the wedding. Everything was waiting for us neatly in our hotel suite.
It was the perfect day and we have Shawna to thank for so much of that!
