De Vinnie's Paradise

I was VERY disappointed with this florist. At first, I was very excited to work with them until my venue contacted me and told me this florist was No Longer invited back to their venue. This florist knew this and STILL took a deposit from me knowing they were not allowed back at my wedding venue. There were previous situations at the wedding venue which caused for them to not be invited back. Find a different florist and save yourself the headache!

Overall, the flowers that we got were beautiful. I only had three issues - one is partially my fault for not correcting the proposal to exclude flowers that were not in season (nor was I notified but that's my fault for not researching more I guess), second was the tardiness (partially due to 1604/10 freeway construction nightmare), and third was requesting pocket boutonnieres. 1. So originally speaking with Irma, we settled on blush pink and white roses with hints of dusty blue. My contract mentioned anemones and I was like okay sure because the picture in the contract looked beautiful and I figured okay they are the experts and wouldn't put in flowers that would be out of season. They delivered the flowers and my Day of coordinator mentioned it looked like a mum stuffed in another flower. I was kind of confused and upon looking up the flowers up after I noticed that yes I did receive a different flower than the anemone. I would have just rather been contacted and told "Hey these flowers aren't any good how would you like to proceed". I was never contacted about the anemones not being good and how to proceed with them. 2. I asked for the flowers to be delivered at 1:00 PM and Kristie assured me that that was possible. The flowers showed up an hour late to the venue but traffic was awful because of the 1604/10 freeway madness so I get that part; however, when they were late I gave them some time and said okay well originally delivery was scheduled for 1:30 PM so I will call then. We tried calling and we were told they were 15 minutes away but then came another 30 minutes late. They did not show up until 2:00 PM. 3. I have seen videos on pocket boutonnieres and thought what a nicer way to display florals for men without everyone getting pricked. We received flowers in a plastic sleeve with a little bit of water and nothing for the flowers to hold onto. We were informed after from Kristie that they told someone to dispose of the water in the pocket boutonnieres but my guys were never told; some disconnect in communication but it is what it is. I just thought there would be something in the sleeve for the flowers to be glued to or hold onto. I reached out to Irma before writing this review. Kristie got a hold of me and came to me with $75 store credit. I asked about receiving a bouquet with the original idea proposed without anemones and just the blush pink and white roses and dusty blue accents but have yet to hear back. It is what it is and like I said overall they looked pretty.

I don’t know what to say besides that this florist is the absolute best! they are so kind and flexible with your budget, and the flowers were just beautiful. De Vinnies really did make my dream wedding come true !

First I would like to start by saying I am not someone who ever leaves reviews, let alone a bad one, but I feel I owe it to any future customers. On my wedding day I had a relative waiting at our venue to meet with Kristie to collect my wedding party's body flowers. After waiting for over an hour, said relative notified me that they had still not arrived. I started calling both Kristie and Irma at 12:46. I called over five times with no answer. The last call being at 1:30. My wedding ceremony was to start at 2:30. At this point I had just accepted that I wasn't going to have any flowers for my wedding. One of my bridesmaids tried calling off of her phone as a last resort and it was answered immediately. I got on the phone, told Kristie it was me to which she told me they were on their way to the venue. I don't know why my calls were not answered when I called off my phone and still haven't gotten an answer for that. When we finally got all of our body flowers for the ceremony, the flower crowns for my flower girls were so big and heavy that they were unable to wear them. I had sent my flower girls ages to Irma so this would not happen, but nevertheless they were too big/heavy for my girls to wear. My toss bouquet was sent to the church with my body flowers instead of being left at the venue to which I did not know so I did not get to do a bouquet toss at my reception. Lastly, our head table was not set up as we had discussed with Irma. After the wedding, I voiced all of these concerns to Kristie. She said that we could discuss everything in person when I meet her to return the vases. On the day of the meeting, Kristie was not there. Irma was there to meet me, however she would not even get out of her car to speak with me let alone help me unload all the vases from my car to hers. She had a young girl with her that got out of the car to help me. I notified Kristie of this and she informed me that Irma was in a rush to get to another meeting, but she would send me an email with details regarding my concerns. When I left the meeting place, Irma was still sitting in her car and did not appear to be any any rush to get to a meeting. I never received any emails from anyone. I sent Kristie one last text on December 29, asking if she had sent an email or if she was going to. My message was ignored. Again I want to stress that I do not do this lightly. I in no way want to hurt anyone or their business. However, I am still very upset with out my wedding was handled and how I have been treated since then despite being a paying customer. I'm sure a response to this will be posted denying many things, but I have emails, call logs and text messages to back all of this information up. I do hope at the very least this helps some future brides avoid the stress and disappointment that I endured. Lastly, I would like to say to this company that admitting you've messed up and trying your best to make up for it in some way would make a big difference. I have never dealt with this lack of integrity from a business before. I trusted you with a very important day in my life and I was very wrong to do so.

Irma is amazing. She has amazing customer service & you can tell they take care of their customers. When I told her my budget she went above & beyond and came in right under - She really worked with my budget and I’m so excited to be working with her. Thank you so much Irma.

Absolutely did an amazing job with our florals for my wedding. The bouquets, the boutonnieres, and the centerpieces on the head table, and all the other tables was stunning! Great communication, very friendly. Definitely book your florals with them!!!

I received Devinnie’s contact information from two close family friends, so my expectations were pretty high. I was blown away by the flowers I received!! Irma was so beyond helpful in adjusting the estimate to fit into my budget and was never pushy or hard to work with. I loved all the bride and bridesmaid bouquets, centerpieces, and especially a gorgeous floral arch (to name a few)that Devinnie’s created for my wedding day!! I provided inspiration photos and they knew exactly what to do with little guidance! I will recommend Devinnie’s to any family and friends!

They did fantastic work, absolutely beautiful. The only complaint I have is that they were extremely horrible at communication. They were nice throughout the entire ordeal but they never answered the phone and it was clear that they don’t speak to each other. And the address listed on their website and knot page is incorrect and has been for at least 5 years, according to the poor person who’s house I went to to drop off things to put in my bouquet.

I was so afraid that I couldn't find someone to capture my moody vibe, and unique taste but Irma was absolutely amazing! She was the sweetest person to work with and I was able to purchase exactly what I needed unlike other florist who have a minimum budget that you have to hit...I'm beyond impressed with their work and will hire them for all my floral needs

YES!! I had a single picture that I HAD to have at my wedding to inspire the florals & they DELIVERED! I was so impressed! I had a few specific requests for my wedding pergola florals & they delivered. They did an absolutely amazing job. Great communication throughout the planning & so easy to work with! Get them before they book up. Reasonable pricing with OUTSTANDING results!

De Vinnie’s did a beautiful job with the flower arrangements at my wedding! I gave inspiration pictures for my bouquets and she recreated them perfectly! Prices were reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend them for any bride to be or for any occasion!

Irma and her team are very good at what they do! My flowers were absolutely gorgeous and were exactly what I was looking for. Irma and her team were running a tad bit late day of but still managed to get everything done, decorated and looking absolutely beautiful! The only thing was we were allowed to borrow their metal lanterns as decor but never actually got them to put out but either way everything was still very beautiful and will definitely be recommending her to other clients!

Hands down THE BEST florist!!! From the very beginning Irma totally understood my vision and was SO fun and easy to work with! I had to reschedule a couple of times due to Covid and Irma worked it out with us no problem! I even changed my entire style and we had a second meeting with her and she totally nailed it! The day of the wedding - I was blown away..the floral completely exceeded my expectations and EVERYONE (I’m serious - everyone) at the wedding was raving about the floral and commenting on how gorgeous it was. I had people talking about it even after the wedding as well. Her prices are SO great too, and they will work with you to give you exactly what you want while working with your budget. I can’t say enough good things. Don’t waste your time with any other floral vendors. De Vinnies is a gem!! Thank you for making my wedding beautiful!

I absolutely loved my bouquet. Her arrangements were one of the best parts of my wedding. Because of covid we did almost everything by phone and I did not actually see her until the wedding day. She emailed called and texted in detail what the arrangement would like, I could not quite picture it in my head but when the flowers arrived they were breathtaking. I plan to have another wedding celebration in 1 year and I will certainly seek out Irma again.

Working with Irma was amazing! I didn’t have any idea what I wanted for my flowers, I told her the color my bridesmaids were wearing and the flowers she picked out were gorgeous! She was so easy to work with as well, I would tell her I didn’t want to go over a certain price and she worked so well within my budget. She was also so flexible because I had to change number of bouquets and boutonnières as we got closer to the wedding and she didn’t mind! She delivered and set up the flowers for the ceremony and reception and I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out! The flowers were so gorgeous. I loved my bouquet and so did my bridesmaids. My guests kept on complementing my flowers throughout the reception.

Irma was fantastic to work with! So eager to make my vision become a reality and clearly incredibly talented. I had to change my wedding date with only four days notice due to COVID, and Irma was so great and worked with me through it all. She had to send back the flowers from the wholesaler but didn’t charge me any extra and was so supportive and encouraging through the whole ordeal. My flowers turned out absolutely perfect! I wanted greenery to cover the staircase at my venue and she made it even more beautiful than I could’ve imagined. All you brides out there, I promise this is who you want. She will not disappoint!

Irma loves what she does! During our consultation, Irma was very informative and creative to ensure that the vision of the floral arrangement that we had came to life. I leave 4 stars due to two things, 1) some of the flowers and leaves were dead on arrival. 2) Some of the floral meant for the reception was delivered to the ceremony (like the toss bouquet, which was smaller the expected). Thank God for our wedding planner who was able to to deliver them to the right location. Overall, great prices for the services

During planning, we were having a hard time finding a shop that would take our small order and I'm so glad we found De Vinnie's Paradise. We had 6 boutonnieres, 2 corsages, and 3 centerpieces and they knocked it out of the park with all of them. All I did was send over some inspiration pictures and Irma was able to tell me exactly what kind of flowers she planned on using to keep us in budget. They did a great job and I'd highly recommend them.

Beautiful flowers and Irma was willing to negotiate within our budget! Everyone was impressed with the flowers and it even seemed like Irma and her team added extra flowers for my husband and I’s table. More beautiful than we expected!

Irma was so helpful from day one. No matter what question I had she was quick to respond and help me with ideas. She listened what I was wanting and went out of her way to deliver on it. She even allowed us to borrow the wood boxes our centerpieces went in! I appreciated it so much. The sweetheart arrangement, bouquets and centerpieces couldn't have been more perfect. They were BEYOND what I envisioned and one of my absolute favorite elements of our day! The flowers made everything come together. You should absolutely hire Irma and her team for your wedding or next event-they will not disappoint!

I don’t know a whole lot about flowers, so having Irma as our florist was amazing. When I walked in I told her our colors and one flower I knew I wanted, and she just went off with what’s in season and what would be perfect for our flowers. She is so professional and is reasonably priced, which was important for us. I loved all my flowers, they were gorgeous. Irma was absolutely the best.

There work is amazing. I gave her my budget and what I was looking for and she just made it happen. The arrangements were so beautiful! She's a true professional, wonderful work!

Extremely unorganized, terrible communication, Irma never wanted to Talk by phone or text... only would email. In the whole year planning the wedding, I talked to her over the phone 1 time!! Very disappointed with the colors of the flowers, the sizes of of the bridesmaid bouquets and the “greenery” for the tables (which looked like rose leaves). We paid her to set up and it wasn’t done. My coordinator had to do it all with my mom. I used all my own supplies like votive candles, frames, letters, lanterns, and floating candles. She promised it would all be done, my husband and I finally got in touch with her 4 days after our original meeting by phone was supposed to be. We Gave her the times to set up, pictures of what we wanted the set up and decor to look like and what colors we wanted. Tuesday 4 days before the wedding we took all the decor and candles to her house At the times she told me would work, she wasn’t there, but her assistant ( who I had never met) was and assured me it would all be done properly and not to worry because my wedding was the main focus that weekend. night before nor day of did we receive any type of confirmation. The day of the wedding she came at 2:45pm instead of 4:00pm, so they wouldn’t let her in the venue. She left everything on the floor ( decor, corsages, boutonnières, etc) . I will not be recommending her. She was nice but nice doesn’t always cut it when it’s for a huge day like your wedding and you can’t get in touch with your florist ever!

Working with Irma and her team was so awesome. My now husband got me a birthday floral arrangement for my birthday one year when she had a shop on san pedro. We always said when we got married she would do our wedding flowers, 5 years later, her and her team created the flowers of my dream. I enjoyed talking to.Irma and telling her what I was looking for. She executed it perfectly! All my guest kept talking about the flowers and how beautiful they were!

Irma and her team captured my vision perfectly. Incredible!! They took my Pinterest board and suggestions and turned our wedding into the most perfect event! We simply loved our flowers and are so thankful for our choice in florists. Our wedding decor and bouquets were beyond perfect. We appreciated how they took our images and turned it into exactly what we were looking for. On the day of, a couple of things needed to be adjusted and they had plenty of extra floral on hand and made it all absolutely perfect, as if it was planned that way all along! If you are thinking of hiring them, do not hesitate for a second, you will have the wedding of your dreams!

Irma and her team did an amazing job at our recent wedding on November at La Cantera Resort. It was last minute when I booked with her because we were shopping around for a place with reasonable price but she pulled through. Even though it was raining the whole day on my wedding, Irma and her staffs delivered the flower promptly and made sure everything looks good. All of my family and friends were very impressed with how the flowers turned out. She is by far the best vendor that was suggested to us by our wedding planner. De Vinnie’s Paradise was recommended to us by our wedding planner and wedding venue because of their creativity and excellent value. We had looked through dozens of websites for florists but loved that De Vinnie’s Paradise was a family floral shop who had been designing wedding flowers for generations. When we met with Irma to discuss our vision, she read our mind and was able to help guide us with flower recommendations to make sure the overall look, cost, and durability was everything we needed. She helped us pare down to meet our budget costs while ensuring that our arrangements would look full and lush. Leading up to the wedding, Irma was responsive and worked seamlessly with our wedding coordinator. On top of that, near the end I was a “bridezilla” and kept changing my mind – yes, within days of the wedding – but Irma was patient, gracious, and made sure I was satisfied and happy with the choices. There were a lot of logistics with multiple hotel drop-offs and a venue in Hill Country, but De Vinnie’s made sure everything was perfect. On the day of the wedding, De Vinnie’s definitely delivered! I had chandeliers that were 30 feet high draped with greenery, the centerpieces for the tables were lush, large, and gorgeous, the bouquets were stunning, the candles well placed, the cocktail tables creative and fun, and the bouquets and boutonnieres were hardy and fresh. I can’t say enough and highly recommend De Vinnie’s Paradise! Their team puts heart into their work and really cared about making a bride’s vision come to life. You won’t find anyone else in town who does what they can do at a great cost!

The flower arrangements at De Vinnie's Paradise were even more beautiful than I imagined. Irma was so nice since the very beginning and worked with us to have exactly what we wanted with the budget we wanted. I would highly recommend this floral shop to any bride.

Our entire experience with DeVinnie's was amazing from beginning to end. From our consultation all the way until our wedding day, the staff was friendly and super helpful. My centerpieces, bouquets, tiebacks, and even decorative petals were all gorgeously executed. They are also extremely reasonable in their pricing. Everything held up beautifully, even through to the next day when I had all of our floral delivered to nursing homes =) Thanks to Irma and all of her staff!

If I could give more then five stars I would!! Irma was fantastic!! I live in Alaska but was having my wedding in Texas so all I could do was describe what I wanted and send example pictures. De Vinnie's exceeded my expectations, my bouquet was AMAZING and everything was delivered smoothly and as a bride it was so nice to not have to stress about any of it. Irma thank you so so so much for creating such beautiful flower arrangements for me!

BEST FLORIST IN SAN ANTONIO! I did my research and met with different florist to get price quotes and see who I thought would be a great fit for me. I went in not knowing a thing about flowers or what i wanted. The minute i met with Mrs. Irma Arispe I knew her expertise and advice won me over. Loved working with Irma and her staff! They were amazing during the planning process. Day of the wedding I was unhappy with my bouquet because it had greenery in it, something I was very specific in saying I did not want. My bridesmaids brought it back to the shop and they said it was made well. They had to go to 2 other florists the morning of the wedding to get the greenery removed. I emailed and called Irma, to which after 4 weeks I have never received a response. The grooms boutinerre fell apart before pictures and we had to make one from leftover flowers.

Irma and her staff are absolutely amazing. They were very kind and professional and always willing to help. Irma was always more then willing to sit down and listen to your ideas. She took those ideas and really brought them to life. She also gave me a lot of insight over flower choices and what worked well together. Both my bridal portrait bouquet and my actual bouquet were so beautiful. Everything was beautiful for the wedding! My centerpieces were exactly how I had imagined! I was so happy with everything!

The service and value were exceptional. And our flowers were beautiful! However, the bouquets were a little different than what we had requested and shown pictures of. While still very pretty, the colors were off (they were more coral than the hot pink/magenta we wanted) as well as the shape (they were more round than the loose/organic shape we asked for). Again, those were minor details and at the end of the day the flowers looked great. The service was amazing; they worked within our budget and helped us choose flowers to get the most impact for our money. Even the women who helped load up our truck were so sweet!
