Dear Summer Events

Wow. On a day with so many details and vivid memories, we are grateful for Jess’s presence behind every moment. Leading up to the wedding, Jess was punctual and easy to coordinate with for any questions; whether over the phone or via text/email. Jess’s experience gave valuable insight to things we didn’t even know to think of. In a jungle of broad advice from articles that any couple would be poring over before their wedding, Jess provided a clear-cut vision for what was locally appropriate. (How much to tip for certain vendors, what timelines of communication are expected for vendors, etc.) The rehearsal was brief, but Jess’s clear guidance ensured that our family and friends (who were all very excited to see each other) were focused while still enjoying themselves. Jess operates with a sense of ease and humor which was very welcome for the anticipation and energy we were feeling on the wedding day. Tasks were handled efficiently and without the need for additional help from our families. Jess was on top of everything from arriving at the venue to the last dance. On top of the big scope, little details were taken care of without us even thinking about it. (Plates cleared from the sweetheart table so that our pictures wouldn’t have food.) We felt like we could really focus on enjoying ourselves at ALL times. She delivered on our vision so well that it felt like she’d read our minds. Jess is a pro. We feel like the coordination, insight, and service she gave us was worth well beyond what she asked for compensation. Now that it’s all over, she stands as one of the BEST investments we made for our wedding. Thank you, Jess! We look forward to seeing you thrive in San Diego!

Jess is the absolute best! We had a small wedding (around 50 close friends and family), and Jess was a huge help with every step of the process as our Day-Of coordinator. She was also available prior to the wedding date to help with timeline and the final walkthrough (which was fantastic, because we did *not* know what we were doing!). She's super reassuring, chill, and very easy to work with. Our big day was everything we wanted, and went extremely smoothly. We'd happily recommended Jess to anyone. :)

We were blown away by how fantastic Jess is. She is on top of literally everything and nothing gets past her. She was able to deal with our family and friends, many of whom have big personalities, to manage the entire wedding day seamlessly. For a large portion of the night, our DJ was completely MIA and Jess filled in for him like a true pro. She made us feel confident and taken care of all day.

Jess! Your month and day of coordination was exactly what my "I think I have it all planned out" mind needed:) You helped ease my nerves when I was frustrated and offered sound advice when I needed it most. Our rehearsal went flawlessly The day of had some venue hiccups but you were right there to take care of them. My type A personality wanted to do it all, but you were already there doing it! I was able to sit back and only stress about the weather which turned out amazing! I feel so lucky you were apart of my big day and will forever feel grateful! It was perfect!

I don't even know where to start with Abe and my experience with Jessica other than a literal angel coming down and saving us from any stress for the wedding day. I hired Jessica for the month of the wedding planner because I had a long engagement period where I decided on most of my vendors and details and I can truly say that having her that last month was the biggest breath of air I got during my entire planning process. Wedding planning can be stressful, especially when it's the first time you ever have one and Jessica knew every possible detail there was that you could potentially forget. Even though I had hired her for the month before the wedding package, if I had any questions prior, she was ready to answer me quickly over email. Her communication is amazing, so fast at responding and it was super easy setting up Zoom calls to discuss details. Overall, she was so friendly, nonjudgmental of any questions I had, professional and great at communicating. I couldn't of ask for a better person to have and trust on my wedding day. Thank you, Jessica!!

We experienced so many emotions on our wedding day but stress was not one of them. The whole event flowed perfectly and that was because of Jess! She did such an incredible job from start to finish. We were so happy that she was with us on our big day.

I could not recommend Dear Summer Events and Jessica enough. I do not think my wedding day would have went NEARLY as smooth if I didn’t have her. I hired her for month of/day of coordination and the month before my wedding I felt an immediate and huge weight lifted off of my shoulders because of her. Working with Dear Summer Events was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. Jessica and Jayla were absolutely amazing and just wonderful people. They went above and beyond what I expected and we're so thankful. Everyone who met them said they had such a calming presence and radiated competence. I can't imagine what our wedding would have been like without them. I 100% recommend working with them.

What are you waiting for?! Book Dear Summer! Jess was IRREPLACEABLE. I mean it when I say that we could not have had our wedding without her. Jess excelled at all of the basic wedding coordinator duties- she's prompt, responsive, she deals with overly ambitious brides (me), she sets up the venue, and coordinates the ceremony and the rest of the wedding day schedule. But what makes her stand out is how well she does under pressure and unpredictable events. We had a fierce storm roll in at the very last moment, right before our outdoor ceremony started. I was adamant about having our ceremony outside and so I was completely crushed, watching table arrangements being knocked over by the wind, broken glass, and of course, all of our guests running for shelter from the rain. I stood there in our reception tent with all of our guests looking at the dark sky, thinking that our wedding had been ruined. I literally could not move. And this is the moment where Jess is worth her weight in gold: your wedding will be unpredictable, even if you have a 100 page document (me) to plan everything out, and you will need someone to think on-the-fly. With our permission, Jess swapped the cocktail hour with the ceremony time so that we had a chance to wait out the storm and still have the ceremony outside. It actually ended up being a great idea and everyone told us that they wished all weddings were in this order! She quickly got to work toweling off chairs, notifying vendors on site, and fixing decorations, while me and my (now) husband stood there unsure of what to do. Jess knew how important it was for us to have our ceremony outdoors and was willing to bend over backwards for us to make this happen. For the rest of the day, we looked to Jess to tell us where to go, what was next, and what we needed to do. If we had a request, she got it done. She was never more than a few feet away from us, yet somehow also conducted the entire event single-handedly. All night, we had people coming up to us saying that our coordinator was incredible, level-headed, and organized. She was constantly walking around, scanning the venue and anticipating everything we needed and where we needed to be. At the end of the night, all we had to do was grab our car keys from Jess and leave. The entire venue had already been cleaned up and she had packed up our car for us, not to mention she had placed 2 water bottles in the front seat for us. My husband and I turned to each other multiple times in the night to say "thank god for Jess."

I can't say enough about how wonderful Jess was during the wedding planning process. Between the initial shut down to resurgence of COVID cases Jess was there to offer support and her expertise on how to handle navigating this unpredictable situation. My husband and I looked to her for advice whenever possible. His favorite phrase during this entire year has been, "we should ask Jessica!" She handled everything with great care and professionalism. And on my wedding day (the hottest day EVER!!) she and J (her fabulous intern) were there to make the day flow seamlessly. I know we could not have done it without her!

Jess was a huge help on our big day! From everything to cutting our cake, telling guests where to go, coordinating our rehearsal and picking us up food… she truly did it all! We couldn’t have enjoyed our day without her! We appreciate you Jess!

Jess was amazing as our Day-of-Coordinator. She was the point of contact between our venue and all of our vendors. She went above and beyond the call of duty for us, even transporting guests and decorations from the ceremony to the reception site. Occasionally our guests would ask us questions that we didn't have the answers to, and we would refer them to Jess because she had all the answers :) She helped us to truly enjoy our wedding day because we felt comfortable knowing we had her there to make sure that everything went smoothly. She kept us on time throughout the day and was flexible with us even through last minute changes. Jess made sure that everything was taken care of on the day of the wedding and the days leading up to it. She checked in with us multiple times before the big day and during to ensure that she could execute our vision for the perfect day. Our wedding was seamless and worry free thanks to Jess and her hard work. We would recommend her to anyone who wants to enjoy their wedding day without the stress of worrying about all of the moving parts! Thank you Jess!

What would we have done without Dear Summer Events' help!! Jessica was our Day Of Coordinator for my daughter's wedding and I can only say wonderful things about her! She is so sweet, friendly, easy going, and knowledgeable, and immediately we put our trust in her and knew that she would make everything perfect! She was so reliable in meeting with us, and following through with all the details that she would be taking of! We always enjoyed our telecons with her because she was so attentive to our questions and concerns, and always provided sound advice to ease our wedding nerves; plus she was just so much fun to talk to! On the big day, she had everything under control while we just relaxed and enjoyed the day. Her biggest accomplishment that I have to mention was her quick flawless manner in which she handled our situation of converting the outdoor ceremony to an indoor ceremony! Without hesitation, she quickly orchestrated changing the tented patio, set up with guest tables, to have rows of chairs and an archway for the perfect ceremony site! Without a beat, she quickly got the wedding party on point for this new processional. The whole experience with Jessica was amazing, with no detail missed!! She is such a warm sweet person and I highly recommend her with 5+ stars for your wedding experience!

I have only amazing things to say about Dear Summer Events! Jess is extremely professional, true to her word and is truly looking out for your best interest. About a month before the wedding, I was definitely ready to pass over any and all vendor communication and Jess jumped right in, and kept things moving forward. The day of could not have gone smoother if we tried! If there were any hiccups or problems, my husband and I were blissfully unaware. My bridal party also complimented how Jess was always available and ready do whatever they needed at the moment. The day stayed on track and when it came time for the sparkler send off, Jess was making sure no one was too drunk to hold one - so appreciated! Thank you Jess - I will be recommending you to anyone I know having a wedding.

I had been planning our wedding by myself but two months out from our big day I realized that there was no way I would be able to manage our wedding day without help.... so we started frantically looking for a day of coordinator and came across Dear Summer Events. We set up a phone meeting with Jessica and by the end of the call we knew we wanted to hire her. Jessica was always quick to respond to any questions we had and offered great advice whenever we needed it. She was a lifesaver on our wedding day! She was incredibly professional and quick to resolve any issue that arose. Hiring Dear Summer Events was one of the best decisions we made!

We hired Dear Summer Events for its Day of Coordination services and I cannot be more pleased with that decision. Our first in-person meeting with Jessica, the owner of Dear Summer Events, was during our venue walk-through with our venue’s on-site coordinator and our caterer. Jessica immediately demonstrated her value by suggesting changes to our menu that saved us money and helped to make the flow of guest during the cocktail hour less congested. Her high level of service continued from that moment on. Jessica is a complete professional! Many people commented on her cool, calm, and collected presence during our wedding. She helped to set up our wedding venue, made sure the candles were lit at the right time, and worked seamlessly with our MC. She made sure all the decor and food was packed up and delivered to the designated persons at the end of the night. Essentially, she took care of things so that my husband and I could just dance the night away with our friends and family. As a bride that planned her own Nigerian Engagement Ceremony and Wedding, it was wonderful to know that everything was taken care of and that I did not need to worry about anything! My then-fiance was skeptical of the need to have a day-of-coordinator but was completely convinced after witnessing the services that were provided and the peace of mind it provided to me. I am so happy we hired Dear Summer Events and highly recommend their services!

We used Jessica as our day-of coordinator for our wedding in February 2019. She was super organized and helpful, with a very reasonable fee. It was very easy to work with her, and she was very responsive via email . During the reception she was very attentive and ensured that everything was running smoothly. Would definitely recommend her for other events!
