Could not recommend a better wedding/reception venue. The inclusive package at Deerfield makes wedding planning seamless and stress free. Not to mention, every staff member we encountered was incredibly thoughtful, flexible, and supportive. They exceeded our expectations in every way!

We had our wedding at Deerfield and it was perfect in every way. Starting from the beginning, Lizette and her team were absolutely amazing and so accommodating especially during the pandemic. Every step of the planning process was made easier with her help. As the wedding approached Lizette and Ryan were absolutely on the ball, every detail was planned out perfectly and I did not have to worry about one thing. When the day came, it was completely stress free for my husband and I. The food was AMAZING, our guests are still raving about it. Ryan kept the day moving seamlessly from start to finish. We had such an amazing time and we are so grateful that our wedding was at Deerfield. Thank you all so much for making our wedding so memorable, so amazing, and so so so much fun!!!

Deerfield went above and beyond to make our wedding even more amazing than we dreamed it would be. We had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic and as emotional as that was, Angela held our hand every step of the way. We cannot thank Angela, Ryan, Wendy and the rest of the staff for everything they did. The aesthetic and flow of the venue are excellent, the staff are pros, the food was delicious and it is the absolute perfect place to host a wedding!!

This venue is dangerously dishonest. Utterly stunned at the way my fiancé and I were treated and currently undergoing litigation against them to recover money taken without authorization. Stay away!

Deerfield is truly amazing. Angela was helping us every step of the way even through two reschedules due to the pandemic. Angela and the Deerfield team made sure every little detail was perfect. The venue is beautiful and has a lot of different options for ceremony locations. Originally we were supposed to have out ceremony under the beautiful pine trees but on the morning of had to move it to the ballroom because rain was on the way. Deerfield amazingly made the ballroom feel intimate and beautiful even at the last minute. The food was also delicious. My husband had been dreaming about the food ever since he tried it at the tasting and was so happy to have it again! The one thing we really really loved about Deerfield was that all the indoor locations had beautiful large windows that let in a ton of natural light.

Would highly recommend Deerfield as a wedding venue for anyone! Even during a pandemic, they made all of our dreams come true! From Angela getting all of the details from the very beginning to Mike making sure everything was perfect the day of and to Gabby who took care of my husband and I all night long, everything was just as we imagined it! The staff was so accommodating and our guests were very pleased with their service! You can't go wrong with this place, you won't be disappointed!

Deerfield was an amazing venue for Michelle and Steve's wedding! Even in a pandemic.... Angela, Michael, Carmen and Jeff were all amazing. The food was delicious. Everything was gorgeous. They were so helpful and professional. All the accommodations Deerfield has incorporated to keep everyone safe were appreciated and respected. The day could not have been any more perfect! Thank you Deerfield for making dreams come true!

There aren't enough good things we could say about the team at Deerfield. From the start of planning through the end of our big day Angela and her team guided us through our indecisiveness with ease. She Michael, and Ryan created a magical experience the day of our wedding and we couldn't have been happier. The food was amazing! The filet was cooked to perfection, chicken was full of flavor and of course our favorite... great coffee!! The ballroom was beautiful and the course was a beautiful backdrop for our photos, even in the freezing February weather. And the staff was so accommodating and welcoming. We were welcomed to a quiet room to freshen up and toast ourselves, and have somewhere quiet to sneak away when needed. Gabby is my son's favorite person after she helped him cut his steak, and "kept his Shirley Temple's coming." All this and at a better price than we found anywhere, the cost was fair and well worth the spend. If you have a choice to get married here, do it! You will not be disappointed!!

Angela and her team are unbelievable. They really are. They are on point, professional, and ready to go. They know how to run an event, I'll tell you. We gave them the information that was needed, and they ran with it! We didn't worry about one thing, because we knew that it was already taken care of. Angela was ten steps ahead of us at all times, and took care of everything. The venue itself is so beyond gorgeous, I could live there. The food is delicious and the facilities are immaculate. We traveled from Arizona to have our wedding here, and would do it a million times over.

I had my reception at Deerfield on 10/27/18. Since then, it has been hard for me to find the words to express the immense amount of gratitude I have for the team at Deerfield. Throughout the entire process, Angela was more than informative and enjoyable, making events and meetings fun, offering suggestions and communicative when responding to all of my crazy questions and emails in a timely manner. In the local area, there are only so many places to go when hosting a larger wedding but that wouldn't have mattered. I fell in love with Deerfield the minute I walked in! I wouldn't be able to imagine my wedding being anywhere else! It's a beautiful and spacious venue- a blank canvas that I was able to make my own and bring the vision alive with the help of Angela and her amazing team! On our actual wedding day, I could not have been more pleased! Their team put together my vision to make it so beautiful and were receptive to my ideas on placement of decor! They greeted us with open arms as my new husband and I arrived and escorted me to the bridal suite where champagne and food was waiting for me! Everyone was very professional from the food and wine service, directing guests and keeping the timeline of the night moving! My guests were in awe of the beauty of the room, the delicious food and the signature drink as well! Our wedding was a true party and everyone had a BLAST! I thoroughly enjoyed the planning process with Angela and her team! Deerfield really exceeds expectations and brings your wedding dreams to life!

When we first toured Deerfield, we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding! It was absolutely beautiful and everyone there was so kind and welcoming. It was the perfect wedding venue for us! Working with Angela was such a pleasure! She was always available and happy to answer any questions we had. She made us feel so comfortable from the start and up until the day of wedding. She listened to everything we had in mind and what we wanted for the wedding and made it happen! We met Lizette and Mike right before the wedding and knew our wedding day was going to be in great hands! They were awesome and so great/fun to work with! Our wedding day was perfect, and the ballroom was so beautiful and everything we could of asked for! They were there for anything we needed and more! We even had specific requests when it came to the food for certain guests and they were more than happy to make that happen which really meant a lot to us and the guests! Our guests loved the food which we all know is a huge compliment! We also received so many compliments on the venue as well! Everyone loved the venue and told us how beautiful it was! And how all of the staff were so nice and helpful the entire night! I knew Deerfield was the right choice almost immediately when we were venue-shopping for our wedding, but I was blown away by the level of care and professionalism Deerfield demonstrated. From start to finish every single person was exceptional. I want to give a special thanks to Carly. I don't know where they found her, but she was fantastic - attentive, poised and calm. She stayed close whenever either my husband or I needed anything but we never felt crowded or over-served. Chef and his entire kitchen team were spectacular. Guests are still raving about the food, and they have said it was the best wedding dinner they've had. Lizette and Michael were in the pinnacle of professionalism. Michael asked me a couple of times throughout the night if everything was going well. I could never find a complaint. Lizette was a fantastic ally to have when I needed to be pulled away from overly chatty guests or just needed to eat. And from the time I first toured Deerfield to the last Wednesday before the wedding, Angela was been phenomenal. I never had a question unanswered, always felt like I was her only client when I called with small or strange questions. She was incredible, and I have been shouting her and Deerfield's praises from the Main Line Philadelphia.

From the time we first toured Deerfield as a perspective wedding venue, we were immediately blown away and could already imagine our reception happening here. In fact, we did not even visit any other venues we had planned to visit as we were so sure about Deerfield. When you know you know! Our expectations were completely exceeded with Deerfield. All those involved, especially Angela and Lizette went above and beyond through every stage of wedding planning. Their patience, kindness, creativity and sense of professionalism, we will not forget. Fast forward to our wedding day on October 13, 2018, our wedding was just beautiful, the most perfect day we could have dreamed of, and Deerfield made that happen! Jessica · married on 10/20/2018 5 The perfect venue! Deerfield was the perfect venue for our wedding day (10/20/18). The staff is so professional and truly cares about making your day perfect! The staff worked great with our vendors to ensure everything was exactly as we wanted it. The pine trees location for our ceremony was perfect and our guests were able to utilize the outdoor patio during cocktail hour. Lizette and Michael made sure the day of ran perfectly and that I (the bride) was stress free! Our bridal attendant Sarah was always right there when we needed something. Angela was there every step of the way during the planning process! Our family and friends had so many amazing things to say! Everything was absolutely perfect!

My husband and I just had our wedding at Deerfield on April 7, 2018 and I cannot say enough great things. From the start of planning up till the end of our wedding day everything was perfect. They are awesome to work with and extremely accommodating. My husband has severe food allergies and they even made him his own plate of appetizers just for him! They set up my decorations exactly how I wanted everything to be. I mean I could go on and on. I am SO SO SO happy we went with deerfield. Staff is amazing, venue is beautiful, and so great to work with.

We had our wedding at Deerfield on November 18th, 2017. It could not have been a more perfect day! We worked with Angela to prepare for the big day. She was so helpful and professional, and made the process so easy. We received so many compliments from our guests about how great the food was and how wonderful the service was. I would highly recommend booking a wedding at Deerfield. They made all of our wedding dreams come true!

I had an absolutely amazing wedding and a huge part of that has to go to David and his team. He was the best. One example of how awesome he was, is that my dad showed up with a shirt that did not fit (the neck did not button) and the wrong color tie. David brought my dad to his office and gave him an expresso, a shirt that fit him and the correct tie. Seriously saved the day, and my wedding pictures. He was so attentive to me that I felt like a princess the day of my wedding. He changed my shoes for me when my feet hurt, he made sure I always had a drink in my hand and had eaten something. I love him! The food was so great and we received so many compliments. I had been a little worried because I was not a huge fan of the food at the tasting but the day of, they really rocked out and it was some of the best wedding food that I have had. The only reason that I can't give them 5 is there were a few little issues: 1) During cocktail hour some of our guests were not directed towards our cocktail hour, and they went to the actual bar of the golf course and thus had to pay for drinks. 2)We upgraded alcohol and to a cheesecake bar but it was not worth it. I have not spoke to one guest that has had the cheesecake (because no one was made aware) and we had payed $5 a person for it. We had top shelf liquor at our wedding but our guests stated that most of them had to change to beer because the pours were so weak that it wasn't worth it. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. It was my dream wedding. (Just do not upgrade on stupid things that will not matter in the end)

Deerfield exceeded all of our expectations. Angela was our contact for all of the planning of the wedding. She is wonderful - very friendly and helpful. David was our day of coordinator and he was a gem - so much fun, very sweet, and keeps the night running very smoothly. The food was delicious, the venue was beautiful, and the ceremony out by the pine trees was stunning. Deerfield is very accommodating and we looked forward to going back for brunches and holding events there later in life. We really loved Deerfield and would highly recommend it!

For the past year I have had the absolute pleasure to work closely with Angela and my bride in the planning of her wedding held at Deerfield on June 9, 2017. From the beginning, Angela was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the intricate details of planning a special occasion to ensure a lovely affair. She provided great tips and suggestions whenever we encounter a planning issue or concern. Angela was a true blessing to us. Fast forward....A few days before the big day, we met with the Operations manager, David. We explained in detail the couples vision. David ensured us that he and his staff had everything under control and that they picked the best place in Delaware for their Big Day. And I can honestly say that statement is 100% true. David, Mike, Anne, and the entire staff were exceptional. They thought of everything and didn't miss a beat. They were attentive to our needs, personable and a pleasure to be around. I would highly recommend Deerfield to any couple planning a wedding again and again. The atmosphere was great, the food was excellent and the grounds were well maintained and clean. Deerfield hands down exceeded my expectations, but more importantly the expectations of the bride and groom.

Wedding - 10/14/16. We looked at a lot of potential venues and settled on Deerfield because it is so beautiful. Little did I know when we booked it that the attractiveness of the venue wasn't the half of why Deerfield was the right choice for us. From the beginning to end, our wedding consultant (Angela) worked with us to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted and amazingly (and thankfully), she worked hard to keep it within our budget. She was professional, efficient and totally responsive to any requests no matter how trivial - an absolute pleasure to work with! And then there was the event itself. We had the wedding (the grounds are lovely), cocktail hour and reception there ... and the food, service and facility were beyond wonderful. Our event manager (Michael) saw to every need, keep us on time and made sure everyone had a great time. Everything was perfect. I have given it a lot of thought and there is not one thing that I can think of to have made it any better. We are so pleased and have received so many compliments from people, many saying it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Deerfield is definitely the northern Delaware location for a fairy-tale like, picture perfect wedding. I highly recommend it.

Deerfield was the perfect choice for our wedding! From the very beginning with choosing a venue, Angela was so helpful and answered all of my questions. She never pressured us into anything and worked with us to get the things we wanted within the budget we had. She was awesome to work with for planning every little detail of our big day! David and Gabby were amazing the day of the wedding! My family is still talking about how helpful they were and how amazing of a job they did to help everything run so smoothly! Our guests complimented how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food was! Food was a big deal to us , so we were so happy that everyone enjoyed their meals as well as the hor d'oeurves !! We wanted to be married outside by the pine trees and an hour before our ceremony it down poured, but somehow the Deerfield team had the entire outdoors dried and ready for our guests by the time guests needed to be seated. They were amazing! Overall, we absolutely LOVED Deerfield and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the future!!

It's a great Venue

We had our ceremony and reception here and it was easily the best decision of the wedding planning process. Angela, David, and Emily were with us every step of the way with exceptional knowledge and service. Guests raved about the beauty of the venue, the attentiveness of the staff, and overall rated our wedding one of their favorites of all time. Not to mention that photos at Deerfield look incredible! I cannot recommend this venue or this wonderful staff enough.

I cannot even begin to explain how wonderful the staff and grounds of Deerfield are! Our wedding was April 30 and our day was absolutely perfect!! People are still telling me what a wonderful time they had and how beautiful it was and how good the food was! Angela was so incredibly helpful from the very first email conversation. She took time to answer my endless emails and was always prompt with her responses. She made the planning process fun and easy and seemed to take some of the stress away. And the value was outstanding! The food alone was incredible, not to mention the beauty of the ballroom and the grounds. I was not too picky about layouts or decorations of the ballroom and they made it beautiful! The day of the event was better than I could have dreamed! David was wonderful. I appreciated how he made sure to take my plans for the day and keep me to it! All I had to do was mention something and David was on it! His professionalism and kindness made me feel like the queen of the day!! Gabby was also wonderful! It was almost like she read my mind and was there the second I needed something. I just truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue! Everything was simply perfect and I was able to thoroughly enjoy my wedding day!

Our wedding was absolutely amazing! From the moment we entered Deerfield to see if it was a potential contender I know it was exactly what I had always wanted. Working with Angela was a breeze, she truly listened to all our needs and wants. David and Gabby were our stuff the day of the wedding working closely with my husband and I as well as our wedding party and they made our day a dream come true. Even our guest raved about how on point the staff was. The food was to die for as well... And I have been to many weddings and could not say the same! Our day was perfect and I would recommend Deerfield in a heart beat. Angela, David, and Gabby you all were AWESOME!!!!

I had my wedding & reception at Deerfield on Sunday 9/14/14 and it was Beautiful! I was so worried about the details however, Angela did a great job calming my nerves during the planning of it all. David was the best event coordinator anyone could ask for! He made the ceremony location look great. He was so cheerful and he made sure the day ran smoothly. My Husband and I had a wonderful time on our wedding day and we get constant compliments on the delicious food, great staff and the beautiful venue. I am so glad we chose to have our wedding at Deerfield. It was a Perfect day :-)

More than a bride could ever ask for, had the most perfect wedding day at Deerfield. Emily and David made sure everything about our day was perfect, and the rest of the staff were also amazing and attentive. Beautiful venue, amazing food. Absolute perfection.

We did a brunch wedding on a Saturday morning and it was AMAZING! They were so accommodating and we got a steal and a half by having a brunch event. The food was great and the staff was really friendly, so if you're looking for an elegant setting and are thinking about a daytime wedding, seriously consider this venue! It cost us about half of what a dinner would have ran us!

Deerfield was the perfect choice for our wedding. The packages were flexible and we just had an amazing experience! From the beginning, Emily was awesome- answering my endless emails and calls about so many things. She gave awesome advice and really helped us through the wedding planning process. The day of the wedding, David was simply AMAZING. He took care of so many little things and really helped keep the day running smoothly for us and all our guests. He was a huge reason of why our wedding went so well! We had about 200 guests- they all commented on how beautiful the venue was. We were hoping to be married outside near the gazebo, but ended up doing an indoor ceremony due to it being really hot and humid. Even inside, the green golf course and beautiful trees made for gorgeous pictures and wonderful ceremony/reception. Overall, we loved Deerfield and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the future!!

We had our small, intimate ceremony and reception at Deerfield and we could not have been happier. The location was beautiful - there were multiple ceremony locations to choose from as well as multiple spaces for our reception. We chose to have the ceremony on the patio terrace & our reception in the beautiful atrium with floor to ceiling windows. The staff was super helpful, accommodating, and cheerful. The food was superb - from appetizers, to entrees, to the lovely desserts. The billing was straight-forward and very reasonable compared with other venues we researched. We have received many compliments from our guests that our wedding was beautiful and the food was great. I would absolutely recommend Deerfield! The whole experience from planning to the big day was low-stress, organized, overall just great!

We recently had our wedding reception at Deerfield and were so incredibly happy with everything. Angela, Anne and Michael made our day amazing and made sure that everyone was where they needed to be (and as a bride on the big day, you really need this because your brain is all over the place.) From the moment we signed our contract I knew we were in good hands. The reception room was stunning. Glass surrounds the room on 3 sides and at night, it’s breathtaking. Deerfield helped us to create our dream wedding and I would recommend them to any bride. Not only was the organization incredible but the staff was so nice to everyone. Every single person was so helpful to our guests and the FOOD, oh my goodness, the food. It was incredible. I still have guests talking about the appetizers and their meal. We opted for a cheesecake martini bar for dessert, and it was a huge hit! If you are looking for a venue for your big day, stop, because this is it. They truly are amazing at what they do, and will put any bride’s mind at ease.

Everybody at Deerfield was absolutely amazing throughout the planning process and the day of! I never thought I could have the 'perfect wedding' but I DID and everyone at Deerfield is to thank. My wedding day was completely stress-free knowing I was in such great hands. All of my guests were equally impressed!

From the moment I walked into the ballroom I knew it was where I wanted to have my reception. The staff I worked with (mainly Angela) was fantastic! They were always there to help with any questions or concerns I had. They understood my extremely busy schedule and always made sure I was staying on top of what I needed, which was perfect for me. I can not say enough about the food! It was absolutely delicious and I received so many compliments on everything from the hor d'oeuvres to the main entrée! The servers were polite and the venue was spectacular looking for the day. It was a little more money then I originally wanted to spend on a venue, however it was beautiful and well worth it. I would recommend to any bride!

I enjoyed having my wedding reception at Deerfield. I think they did a great job for my wedding. I remember walking into the space to first check out the venue and I knew this is where I wanted my wedding. The reception space is beautiful with windows surrounding so you see the views of greens and trees. I was concerned how the uplighting would look with the glass space, but it worked out perfectly. All my guests enjoyed themselves and had a great time. The also accomodated my guests who had specific food needs. Whenever I called with questions they gave me spediant responses. I would recommend this venue to any bride in the Wilmington area. There are some other venues that are beautiful in the area, but I also know they cost significant more. If you are looking for a classy place that can fit 250 people this is your best bet. My only drawback, is that I think that the cost for an additional hour on their 4 hour wedding package is a bit much. Besides that I think it was wonderful. I would not want my reception anywhere else.

We booked the Deerfield because the property was beautiful and we liked that there was a fairly inclusive wedding package. I was a little put-off by how long it would take to get responses to some of my questions during the planning process. Even when we were within several weeks of my wedding, it would take nearly two weeks to get a response. They were flexible with things I wanted to change or add, which was nice. When it came to the wedding day itself, I must say everything was great. Everything seemed to be the way we had discussed and the day-of coordinator and the bridal attendant were absolutely excellent. The food was also very good - especially during the cocktail hour. My one complaint was that they did not have enough air-conditioning. It was a very hot day and I asked several times for them to turn up the AC, but still received some complaints from guests about the heat.

Deerfield has a very large ballroom, and they were still able to make it cozy for my intimate 110 guest wedding, by using 1/3 of the room for cocktail hour, and 2/3 for the rest of the reception! If you can, request Steve and Annie for your wedding day coordinators/attendants - they were simply AMAZING. The food was fabulous, with really large portions - hats off to Chef Paul! The only thing was that you didn't get a lot included for your money -- just the venue, food, and cake (which was contracted out). Some places include lighting, upgraded linens, centerpieces... but all it all, I wouldn't have changed anything!

The team at Deerfield was amazing. They were attentive, friendly, flexible and fun! I had an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend them.

What can I say...they are the best. They are top notch. From the employees to the food to the appearance and atmosphere it was unbelievable. Just perfect.
