Tl;dr: Jyl is a queen; and anyone and everyone who needs a wedding planner (if you’re not sure, then you do) should look no further than her.

When my now-husband(!) and I became engaged, we popped open a bottle of champagne, and then settled ...in to what we were sure was going to be an overwhelming and stressful wedding planning process. Both of us are in super demanding stages of our careers; and while we’re both really social as people, our relationship has always been pretty private and sentimental. We love weddings, but hadn’t attended enough to really know what we wanted for our own, and we both tend to completely break down when faced with too many choices. All of which is to say that we were not exactly a wedding planner’s dream clients, nor were we terribly optimistic about the prospects of planning a wedding of 200+ guests that was to be held hundreds of miles away.
Then, in what can only be described as a huge stroke of luck, we found Jyl, and knew immediately that we were in good hands – and it’s only now, after the big day has come and gone, that we can truly appreciate how enormous a role she played in making our wedding absolutely perfect. She is unfailingly professional, organized, responsive, encouraging, positive (but never grating!), diplomatic, and flexible. She juggled various constituencies, often with conflicting tastes and preferences (me, him, my mother, his mother), without breaking a sweat, and somehow consistently managed to find the best possible outcome when such would have been impossible had we been left to our own devices. She was, without exaggeration, our saving grace; and her value exceeds her fees several times over. Quite simply, she’s the best – we cannot recommend her highly enough!
