We absolutely loved our experience at Defiance Ridge from the first time we went there. We were always greeted by name and treated very well. Even though they had a change of wedding coordinator in the middle of our engagement they were professional, on time, aware of all of the details, and so willing to accommodate our requests! There wasn’t a beat skipped with the new wedding coordinator. Hannah was wonderful and worked so hard to make the final planning process easy. They were able to make small changes quickly when needed and it never seemed like an inconvenience to them. Most importantly, the staff was seamless on the day of our wedding! Food was served quickly, it was delicious, the staff was so eager to please us and our guests. We absolutely loved our experience with Defiance Ridge and hope to be able to attend a wedding there soon!

Our wedding at Defiance Ridge Vineyards was truly magical! Hannah and her team did an amazing job! Hannah was easy to work with and super responsive. Our wedding went off without a hitch. We took advantage of the setup/take down package and it was well worth it. They set everything up great, and it all looked beautiful. The whole staff was amazing, friendly and incredibly helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better venue!

DRV is the most magical place to get married. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is amazing. Hannah and her team made the planning super easy. The day of and our wedding went so smoothly. Our guests could not stop raving about how the food was most delicious and how they loved the surprise fireworks. All of this and DRV has the best wine around. Thank you again for making this day so memorable. We will be back for wine on the patio and our anniversaries.

My now husband and I had our wedding reception at Defiance Ridge Vineyards in August this year. DRV has always felt like home to us and celebrating our wedding day here made the day 10x better! Everything was absolutely beautiful! The staff was absolutely fantastic! They made sure that everything was taken care of, organized, and that each step ran smoothly. So many of our guests felt as if they were a part of the DRV community due to such a spectacular environment. And the food was amazing! I highly recommend brides and grooms to meet with the staff and coordinator to experience a perfect wedding day just like we did!

We had our wedding at DRV earlier this month, and it was an absolute dreamy day! Lauren and the team were absolutely amazing, kind, 5 very informative! The food was to die for!!!!! My guests LOVED the food! I wish we had more time to set up the reception from the time they closed to the public, to the time we could start setting up but thankfully, my family and wedding party jumped in and brought my dream to life! DRV has absolutely beautiful grounds and a super beautiful and unique reception hall! Everything turned out beautiful. We are in awe of how perfect our day went and can't thank Lauren enough! DRV will forever hold a magical place in our hearts ❤️

I had my dream wedding at DRV! Everything was perfect. Lauren was simply amazing, so kind, fun, and accommodating. I wish the length of reception could have been longer because I didn’t want the night to end. Ceremony was outside on the patio and beautiful! The reception space was great, plenty of space and perfect for my whimsical setting. The food was AMAZING. All my guests raved about how good the food was. All of the staff were kind and helpful. Everything went so smoothly. Ceremony and reception at the same location, catering and bar service all done by DRV made everything a breeze for planning and made for a very relaxing wedding day knowing Lauren had all the details taken care of. The bridal suite was very nice and a great spot for our wedding party to gather after pictures and mini dance party before the ceremony. Great cottage core aesthetic for bride/bridal party getting ready pictures. The grounds and vineyards were great for pictures. I have zero negative comments. Our day was perfect and even my anti-wedding husband said everything was so perfect and he had the best time!

We had our 95 guest wedding at Defiance Ridge last weekend and it was absolutely perfect. A gorgeous venue with delicious food and the fireworks were AMAZING! All of our guests had a blast and the day could not have been more perfect. Thanks Lauren and the team at Defiance Ridge!

Within minutes of visiting Defiance Ridge, my husband and I knew this was the place we had to get married. Lauren, our coordinator was absolutely AMAZING and made our day everything we had dreamed and more. They even catered to our special meal request to have breakfast for dinner and it was a huge hit with our guests. Even with a little sprinkle of rain, the team was able to get our ceremony set up outside and started just in time for a rainbow and sunset. If you have it in your budget and want to surprise your guest I would highly recommend doing the fireworks. It was such a special moment and the display was magical (and a perfect photo opportunity). I seriously can’t say enough good things about this place and the people. Throughout the whole process everyone we talked to was professional and friendly. The whole venue is gorgeous and has the perfect atmosphere for a wedding. The only thing I wish they could do is figure out how to reverse time so we could relive it one more time. BEST PLACE EVER! So happy we decided to have our wedding at DRV, it was beautiful yet affordable. Michelle is AMAZING! She can get it all done just how you want. She met with us for a planning meeting and then again for the dinner tasting and was so helpful! Easy to get in touch with and answers your questions promptly!

Our wedding was beautiful and Michelle was absolutely the best coordinator ever. So many times I thought for sure we were missing a detail or running behind, but Michelle was right there to help plan everything out before and during the event. Top of the line service. Thanks for making it great!

Michelle was very detailed and organized in helping us plan our day. She was so flexible and helped the whole event run smoothly. We were there on a cold day in November with about 150 guests. The venue was plenty warm enough, the lighting was perfect, and the dance floor was big and open. The transition from the open winery for the public until 5pm to our reception at 6pm was seamless. The staff was gracious and helpful the whole night including helping us take down our decorations at the end. The food was delicious. I would recommend Michelle and Defiance Ridge to anyone looking to plan a beautiful wedding any time of year.

Have your wedding at Defiance Ridge Vineyards!! One of our favorite things about having our wedding at Defiance Ridge was the ability to use different parts of the property for different parts of the day. Their property is beautiful in any season. This was our first choice of venue and we were so happy to be lucky enough to get a date when we wanted. Everything was beautiful. Michelle was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process, and she really made the day seem perfect. The food and wine is fantastic as well. What an amazing place!! We recently got engaged and then married at Defiance Ridge. Everything was perfect from beginning to end!! The venue was gorgeous, drinks were great, and the food was phenomenal!! All of our guests raved about the food. Michelle, the event coordinator, is a gem!! She knows her stuff, was easy to communicate with, and made my day super smooth! Michelle made sure to connect and guide all of my other vendors like DJ, photographer, etc. I didn't have to think about anything the day of except just having a great time. They take care of everything at the venue from food to drinks to linens and chairs. This made wedding planning such a breeze so that we didn't have to book individual vendors. We definitely picked the perfect place and it will be a special place to continue to visit in the future! Highly, highly recommend!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If I could give DRV 10 stars, I would. We viewed two other wineries and upon going to DRV, we both walked out saying, that's the one. We love the ambiance, the views, the ceremony area and the reception space. The food was AMAZING and we received so many compliments from our guests regarding how good it was! The bar service was also on point. Several of our other vendors even commented on how accommodating and friendly every DRV teammember was while they were setting up. Last but not least, we had such a positive experience working with Michelle, the wedding coordinator. She gave us great advice, was always available for any and all questions throughout the planning process (never making us feel bad for asking so many questions), and was a great point person to help us navigate everything leading up to the big day. She is seriously amazing and DRV is lucky to have her. We would absolutely recommend DRV for your wedding ceremony and reception, or just the reception. We could not have asked for a more perfect day and that's thanks to the team at DRV.

Defiance Ridge was the first (and only) venue we looked at. We knew right away it would be perfect. Michelle, our coordinator, was so helpful in the planning process and when it came to the day of. I knew I didn’t have to worry because she is so great at her job. I had planned for an outside ceremony, but we had a cold day in March, so we were able to have a beautiful ceremony inside and Michelle and her team quickly flipped the room. We got so many compliments on how good the food was, and how much fun our guests had at the reception. I couldn’t imagine a better venue. Everything was perfect!

Best Wedding Venue Ever! The whole experience was so amazing we got married there twice! The first one was a super small last minute ceremony because of covid but we had a big celebration at the same place the next year. The event coordinator, Michelle, was so helpful and really made us feel like we were in good hands. The winery is beautiful and there are so many great places to take pictures. The food was so good it was hard to choose what to put on the menu for our events. I loved the indoor-outdoor space that was perfect for the uncertain weather in October. Everything was amazing I highly recommend getting married there or just going on any other day for great wine and food!

Defiance Ridge Vineyards is an absolutely beautiful place to have your wedding. Michelle is amazing at her job and answered any questions that we as a couple had and even ones that our parents had about the process and the venue. She made sure we understood everything and had all our bases covered. Additionally, because of COVID we chose to reschedule from October 2020 to Nov 2021. We were extremely lucky she had dates available, and we were so grateful that she was so flexible with our decision to push it back. She even stayed part of the night to make sure everything was running smoothly! The food was also absolutely amazing, everything we tasted at the menu tastings was delicious it made it hard to choose! They were luckily very accommodating with the food menu offering vegetarian, kids, and were sensitive to the food allergies of our guests. Everyone loved the food and our signature cocktail, a sangria, was a big hit too! The room is super spacious with the fireplaces on either side of the room, which kept things toasty even in November. Additionally, she allowed us to take some beautiful pictures on the property beforehand! Everyone was talking about how beautiful everything was! Everything was simply perfect! My only wish is that the night would have lasted longer because it seemed like the night just flew by!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Defiance Ridge Vineyards. This was only the third venue we toured and we knew immediately we wanted to get married here. It’s beautiful as it is, the food is impeccable and the staff was extremely friendly. Big shout out to Michelle, the wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect! We can’t thank them enough. All our guests seemed to have had an amazing time and enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere.

I don't have enough amazing words to describe this day. Michelle and her team accommodated every single one of my needs. The bridal suite was amazing and she accommodating letting us in early so we could finish in time. Michelle was great to communicate with via email. She gave great input when needed that helped make things easier with the photographer and DJ. Michelle made me feel at ease through out the whole day and into the night. She knew where to find people, when we needed to be certain places and how to make sure things ran smoothly. The venue was absolutely gorgeous. We had access to use the whole vineyard for pictures and Michelle made sure to have the staff clean the leaves from around the property. The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Days after the event, guests were messaging my husband and I letting us know how amazing the food was. The bar was staffed well and the wine was a hit as always. I would get married here 1000x over. Michelle even worked with my mom to surprise my husband and I with a firework show. This is the best venue and I am so happy I got to spend the best day of my life at my favorite place. We are so very thankful for the staff at Defiance Ridge.

Wow! Just wow!! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to have our wedding! From start to finish, this venue and it's AMAZING coordinator Michelle, made our wedding everything we could've wanted and MORE! She is professional and knows exactly what she is doing! It made my life so much easier when I knew Michelle was in charge and she would do nothing short of an incredible job! This venue location is absolutely gorgeous!! Talk about amazing photo opportunities, we were able to have our first look IN THE VINEYARD! It was so romantic and the pictures were incredible! Having an outdoor (but covered) venue is perfect when your worried about planning a wedding during COVID! The breeze on the dance floor in the evening was so perfect! Michelle and her staff will make your day everything you've dreamed of for a perfect winery wedding!

DRV- where do I begin. The grounds are already beautiful- but the way Michelle and her team transformed the venue to our gorgeous ceremony and reception area was like a dream. Michelle is attentive, easy to get ahold of, kind, and one of the most hard working women ever! She and the rest of the DRV team truly make it their goal to ensure each bride and groom have the wedding of their dreams. ALSO- wedding food is usually so-so, but even a month later people are telling us how amazing the food was at DRV during our reception. To any bride considering DRV- please believe me when I say it’s worth it!! Ps- opt for their fireworks display! It was a huge hit!!

Absolutely beautiful. This is the first venue we toured and we knew immediately it was exactly what we wanted. Michelle is so great to work with, she's flexible, knowledgable, and can make it happen. She's also enjoyable to work with! We had a lot fun in the planning process and working with DRV. We were overwhelmed with the table arrangements and all the options available, but Michelle helped SO much. Every time we reached out with questions, she had multiple solutions. The venue is absolutely beautiful, it had everything we could possibly wanted. The view and setting is picturesque, all of our guests were impressed! As we're getting our pictures back, I'm just stunned. The reception area is beautiful, the open sides allow for views of the grounds, the string lights give the best ambiance, and they were super flexible on the layout and setup of the area. The food and drinks were incredible. Numerous guests keep reaching out to us to tell us that this was the best wedding food they've ever had! Again, I cannot say enough positive things about Defiance Ridge. It was the setting I've dreamed about for our wedding and I'm just so grateful for the entire experience. We will definitely be back as guests and will be celebrating all future anniversaries here!

We spotted this vineyard while driving to a hiking spot during COVID quarantine – I half-jokingly said it was pretty and that we should look it up to see if they do weddings and I'm so glad I followed through! I don't know whether or call it luck, fate, or something else, but we had the most perfect wedding here. The staff – especially Michelle – are absolutely amazing. Everyone is so sweet and helpful. Wedding planning and the big event itself were a breeze in big part because of them. Michelle answered all my questions and was there the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly. On top of that, you really get it all at Defiance Ridge: gorgeous views, the ideal outdoor ceremony spot, and an air-conditioned reception space that lets you keep that outdoor feel while staying cool in the summer. Our wedding happened to be on a record-breakingly hot day in June (I think it hit 100) and everyone said the reception was great. And the food! Our guests were so impressed with their meals, everything at Defiance Ridge is delicious. Michelle and the kitchen staff are super accommodating of dietary restrictions. Plus you get to take advantage of all the delicious wines and craft beers. It's also LGBTQ+ friendly for any other same-sex couples looking a venue. Everyone on-site was extremely welcoming and happy to host an event with two brides. I genuinely do not have one bad thing to say about the place!

Defiance Ridge Vineyards was the perfect location for my wedding and reception. The outside and inside areas are very spacious and beautiful. There was plenty of room for our guests to roam but the dining room was still intimate enough for a perfect reception. The food was delicious and the bar was able to make my singature drinks without a problem. The best part about DRV is Michelle, the event coordinator. She is kind, flexible, and great to work with. I am so happy she was there to help me along the way and the day of, especially having to plan through a pandemic and needing extra questions answered. I highly recommend DRV as a wedding venue. First of all, my husband & I want to say thank you to Michelle & the Defiance Ridge Vineyards team for making our wedding reception spectacular! We got married on 4/10/21 and only have great things to say about our experience with Defiance Ridge Vineyards. Michelle, the wedding coordinator, was very sweet & helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process & on our big day. She listened to our requests, understood the vibe we wanted for our wedding reception & helped our wedding day go smoothly. She paid attention to the details that mattered to us. The weather was rainy/cold/yucky, but none of our guests noticed because they were having such a great time. We had planned fireworks & Michelle was flexible throughout the evening to ensure we got the firework show we wanted despite the bad weather! The firework show was awesome & definitely worth the money. Our guests loved it & it was a special moment for my husband & I, not to mention the awesome photo op! Additionally, we got so many compliments on the food at the reception. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had. Also, the alcohol selection was more abundant than at a typical wedding venue, which we appreciated. With the upgraded package, we had all domestic beers, seltzer’s, craft beers, 6 wine choices & all top shelf liquors. There was something for everyone! My husband & I are so happy we chose Defiance Ridge Vineyards as our wedding reception venue. We had so much fun & we know our guests did too! The big fireplace, the indoor/outdoor feel, the string lights & the big dance floor were the details that contributed to the wedding reception we always imagined. We made great memories & will talk about this night for years to come. We would definitely recommended Defiance Ridge Vineyards for anyone looking for a beautiful, fun & spacious venue. Breathetaking views, beautifully decorated, and just a dream.

Defiance Ridge Vineyard was the perfect place to have our wedding. The views are breathtaking, the staff is top notch, and the food is some of the best I've ever had! The wedding coordinator, Michelle, is a PRO! She helped guide us through all the decisions before our special day, and made the day of the wedding flow so easily. She was on top of every detail, and was very accommodating to our special requests.

I do not think I could recommend this venue enough! It is a STUNNING location and Michelle is amazing! She is so accommodating to your specific needs. She and her team did such an amazing job setting things up that day. I got so many raving reviews about the location and venue from my guests, as well. There are many options within the venue to have your reception (inside, outside, or both). It was truly perfect!

Our venue choice could not have been better. The setting is gorgeous and clean, the employees & Michelle were polite and professional & really went above and beyond! From the moment I walked into the place, I knew it had to be our venue. The price, location, the way it's already decorated made the decision so simple! On top of that, Michelle made it so easy! She was prompt, responsive, SO SWEET, and when we would pop in for lunch, she made sure we were taken care of! The day of is always crazy busy, and that girl worked her tail off! She makes sure everything is set up and perfect. I am impressed with the services offered, the fireworks display, the food (mashed potatoes are so amazing), and the professionalism. Defiance Ridge did a FABULOUS job hosting our wedding reception. The food was phenomenal. Michelle was AMAZING to work with. She is very responsive with communication. The layout of the venue is so spacious! I would highly recommend booking this venue.

Defiance Ridge was truly an incredible experience for our wedding on 8/8. The venue, ambiance, and atmosphere are unparalleled, and we were certainly picky in our selection! The inside space was perfectly appointed and channeled the best of Chip and Joanna Gaines vibe. The outside view was breathtaking with the vineyard and extensive mature gardens. Most importantly, the even coordinator, Michelle, was phenomenal. Unfortunately, our wedding had to move from 5/16 due to the pandemic and Michelle was such a source of comfort through the panic. She actively worked to find an alternate date for us and immediately reached out when a cancelation came through. Michelle was thorough, detail oriented, and agile. We had a firework show (all guests agreed this was the highlight of the night) and Michelle was diligently watching the weather and adjusting the timeline to ensure everything went off without issue. She’s a jewel!! Food was delicious, service solid... can’t say enough about this venue!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Defiance Ridge Vineyards is! My husband and I knew very quickly that this is where we wanted to have our wedding. The staff is super accommodating, kind, personable and quick to do whatever they can for you! Everyone there treats you like a friend. Working with Michelle was absolutely wonderful. She's will make sure your day is perfect, and give you all the advise and guidance you need to make the right decisions for you and your day, and make sure everything goes off without a hitch. The grounds are beautiful, there are so many places to get amazing pictures! Not only did I have my wedding here, but my bachelorette party started here. Our friends and family that attending the bachelorette could not stop talking about how wonderful it was and how excited they were for the wedding! Our wedding was in November and our guests are still talking about it and many of them have been back! I would recommend DRV for any event, but especially a wedding!

We recently got married at Defiance Ridge on 12/14/19. Our Event Coordinator, Megan, was amazing. The staff was very quick to get all of our food served. The bar service was also quick and I got so many compliments on how good the drinks were. If you are looking for a beautiful and spacious venue this is the way to go. Also, this place was budget friendly especially for a winery. We had a blast and everything went so smoothly.

Michelle, the Event Coordinator, made planning our ceremony and reception at Defiance Ridge Vineyard so easy. She gave my husband and I such a confidence in the venue. Ryan and I like many couples had many questions and Michelle answered all our emails very punctually and made time to meet and talk in person too. But not only was Michelle great during the planning but her and the rest of the staff at Defiance Ridge went above and beyond on our actual wedding day. Everyone was very attentive and Michelle worked like secret ninja behind the scenes. One of the great things about Defiance is there ability to have a Plan B or indoor option for inclimate weather. We did have to decide to go with our Plan B the morning of the wedding due to rain. And the switch went off without a hitch. Many of the guest even commented on how swiftly the staff changed the space over. My husband and I would definitely recommend anyone in the market for a wedding venue to check out Defiance Ridge Vineyard. Staff was amazing to work with, the scenery is beautiful,and the food was amazing.

We worked with Michelle Serles and she was outstanding!! I am the mother of the groom but was very involved in the wedding planning and we made lots of changes that Defiance Ridge had never done before but they made it happen for us! Everyone's personality was amazing from day one to the day of the wedding. And the weather was awesome:-)

Defiance is amazing. Our wedding and reception took place on the same day as their record day for attendance and everything was perfectly in place with time to spare before our events began. Michelle is a national treasure.

May 25, 2019 wedding was a complete service failure. Over promise and under deliver on many levels from planner absence to inadequate staff for the size of wedding party (170 people). Bar inside venue that was reported to be open for the event was not, forcing people to go outside venue to wine tasting area for drinks. Line was 12 people deep waiting over ten minutes as the one bar tender was overwhelmed. Owner does not take a personal interest ensuring event runs smoothly. I could go in but I think this gets the message across. I strongly recommend against this venue for any large-special event.

Lovely place for lunch, but before you book a wedding or special event, be sure to write in the contract: "Event Manager and Event Coordinator will be present at your rehearsal and wedding/event, and will perform only the function of manager/coordinator." Illness prevented the event coordinator from working my daughter's wedding, and the front of house manager Lynn was provided as the substitute. Except she was also serving dinner and working behind the bar, resulting in a serious lack of service, and quite a bit of stress and confusion. Also be sure to write in the contract: " The bar in the pavilion will be open and staffed during the event." Despite several verbal assurances from various employees (Michelle, the former event coordinator, Trevor, another manager, and Lynn), that this would happen, it was not open at the wedding, where over 160 guests had to walk into the tasting bar to be served by one bartender. Most importantly, write in your contract: "Excellent service will be provided by enough staff to serve your wedding or special event." While most wedding venues would consider this common practice, at Defiance Ridge, if it is not written in the contract, it is not provided. Unfortunately, several attempts to request the owner offer a partial refund or even an accounting of responsibility or apology were futile, despite the fact the owner was not present at the wedding (gift cards were offered as a sign of "goodwill"). His reply to our letters was that Defiance Ridge fulfilled it's contractual obligation. If you are considering a large event here, be sure to get those items in writing because they might prevent your special event from being substandard. *Reply to Owner: I firmly stand by my review, and now will include poor customer service. Having worked in a high profile salon in the St Louis area as a customer service coordinator, "the customer is always right", or at the very least, never disrespected. Clearly people become ill, but to insist that Lynn, the front of house manager acted as the event coordinator that evening is downright insulting because she was serving meals and tending bar. You were not present at the event, and your "investigating" only includes the employees you pay. Perhaps speaking with guests at the wedding would be enlightening? No special service was provided, and no one from the bridal party or the families of the bride and groom were served any food or beverage during the cocktail hour at the gazebo. We were verbally assured by several of your employees that the bar in the pavilion would be open during the wedding. In your letter, you stated, it was not in the contract, and therefore, you were not obligated to have it available. I encourage any potential brides/groom to Facebook message me for more details before they choose Defiance Ridge, and at the very least, get EVERYTHING in a written contract.

Very disappointed in our experience. They lacked any customer service, our wedding coordinator changed twice and we didn’t have an official wedding coordinator for the rehearsal or day of our wedding. Would NOT recommend.

This is the most beautiful venue! There are so many options for pictures and the house for bride/bridesmaids to get ready is lovely! Lisa, the coordinator, is so helpful and responsive. They were extremely flexible with me and my crazy requests! Food was delicious and drinks were plentiful. I truly believe Lisa did everything she could to decrease my stress level on our wedding day- she took care of everything and I didn’t even hear a word. Most of my guests says “best wedding ever!”

We have been patrons of defiance ridge since I was little my mother knew the original owner and I’ve always had a blast hanging out there. The venue changed hands and it was even more beautiful than before. However we’re starting to question the new staff and management. our wedding planner was Michelle she was amazing even got me wine slushees they the best part The day of the wedding was amazing and everything was going great as planed until the food. There propane tank wouldn’t work so they couldn’t cook the food, we were told they had back up plans on the way and should take one hour. We thought this was fine after all things happen and they were working on fixing it they just needed an hour, however it took 3 hours to get the food and half of my guests never received food. Which was amazing once they were received. One of my bridesmaids asked a staff questions about it and she snapped at her until she said I was the one asking not her, the staffs demeanor immediately changed and she rushed off to get answers. The cake was the next issue, after getting tired of waiting for all of the food we decided to entertain our guests by cutting the cake, I had over 200 guests and enough cake for all of them. They served the cake but only one sheet of it they didn’t serve the other flavors and they sent me home with 2.5 sheet cakes why they didn’t serve more if it I don’t have any idea but I wasted so much cake and money cuz the staff couldn’t figure out how to serve cake. Because it was 9 pm before my guests received dinner we asked the dj and photographer to stay an extra hour and they did (originally had them till 10 asked them to stay till 11). But my parents asked the place if they would compensate us somehow since we had so many issues, they asked them to pay for the extra hour of dj and photograph so our guests could actually have a chance to dance and have some fun but they said no. We also had ordered a nacho bar to be set out towards the end of the night that went to waste they put the nacho bar out at 1030 pm guests were leaving and some were just finishing dinner, it ended up being another waste of money because guests either were just starting their dinner or leaving. So instead of offering to remove those off our price list or paying for the dj they instead offered my OUT OF TOWN/state guests a free wine tasting (worth about $5 ) none of my guests were ever going to return it made no sense. So my parents asked for them to give us a discount/refund because they didn’t keep there promises to us and feed our guests or have things run smoothly again they said no. At this point I had, had hungry guests, wasted cake, more expensive dj and photographer and a wasted nacho bar and they still said no to our reasonable demands. As the bride I was kept in the dark for most of these going in’s until after the wedding so I couldn’t complain on the day of (how it should be ) they told my parents that we should have told them that we were having so many issues on the day of so they could fix it then. But they knew about all of the problems. I was disappointed for the way the management acted after the fact. All negatives aside my guests all had an amazing time and I loved my wedding day. I enjoyed myself a lot and was able to overlook the food problem for a short while. Being one of their first weddings since changing hands I think for the most part the execution of the event went well the beauty of the event was perfect we recomend using

Our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives!! Michelle made things so easy and smooth that day! Our guests had nothing but nice things to say not only about the venue but the staff was very professional and awesome to work with!

I highly recommend this venue!!! The venue was a dream; I definitely got the wedding of my dreams. I really enjoyed working with Michelle Serles, Event Coordinator; she made sure the day was flawless. Also the food was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I had our wedding here back in September. I must say we couldnt not have picked a better place! The evening was beautiful and Michelle helped us make everything perfect! I cannot tell you how many compliments we got on our selection of venue! The food was fantastic and even accommodated to those with dietary restrictions! The staff was on top of everything (drinks, food, plates, empty glasses). I am 100% satisfied with everything here!

We had our wedding and reception at Defiance Ridge in May 2018. The venue was absolutely beautiful and we received rave reviews about the venue and the food. The staff was very accommodating and the day was absolutely perfect!

We received so many compliments on the scenery at Defiance Ridge and how wonderful the reception was! We also had a lot of compliments on the food! The weather put a little hitch into the set up time but everyone pulled together to make the wedding of our dreams. Michelle was great to work with and our only regret is that it didn’t last longer!

The inside of the main event building has been redone and is beautiful! The outdoor reception space is fine but has not been updated, it's your typical patio. We met with Michelle, she was great and answered all our questions. However my first impression with the staff made me ready to leave without seeing the place. We had an appointment with Michelle just before the winery technically opened, and since we weren't sure where to meet her, I knocked on the door and waved at the first person I saw (not Michelle, another employee whose name I did not catch). She came to the door, opened it a crack, and legitimately rolled her eyes while very rudely saying "We're not open yet." Her demeanor totally changed when I told her we were there to see the wedding venue space and she let us right in—but my mind had been made up that this was not the level of friendliness and service I wanted from my venue.

I highly recommend Defiance Ridge for a wedding venue. Our wedding was beautiful! Michelle, the events coordinator, was so wonderful to work with and made the whole process stress free.

We have been coming to Wine Country Gardens for about 4 years & have enjoyed our time here. Unfortunately, lately, the restrooms need a good cleaning! I hope we are able to come back next year!

We loved Wine Country Gardens from the first time that we saw it! The venue is romantic and beautiful. Chris was a pleasure to work with and extremely accommodating. We loved everything about the venue and we're so glad we had our wedding there!

Everything went as it was supposed to, the food was delicious, and the venue was beautiful. You barely need to add any decoration to it. The owner, Chris, is very helpful and answers any questions you have. We had a great evening!

The people at Wine Country Gardens are great! We got so many compliments on how good the food was and how well the bartenders mixed the drinks! We had to move the ceremony inside due to rain and they got it done in minutes. I really loved that there were so many places to take pictures at the venue and that we got the whole site after 4pm. The only downside was that we did not get the vegetarian plates that we requested. It was supposed to be something like pasta primavera. This situation was partially my fault because I forgot to tell them what tables to put vegetarian dishes. However, when we came up to a member of the staff just minutes after dinner started and asked if we could still have the vegetarian plates we ordered, a staff member just went over to the buffet and grabbed everything that was not meat. Sides are not a full meal to a vegetarian and I fear that we offended our several vegetarian guests. Also, I wish the venue had had a contract. That way both parties know what is expected of both the venue and the bride and groom. Overall, though - loved it!!

we couldn't have found a better venue for our daughters June 2015 wedding! Wine Country Gardens was outstanding, venue, food, service, atmosphere, everything! Chris, the owner, was so easy to work with and always ready to answer questions, provide guidance and just be so helpful! Her staff was great! Our daughter and son in law had the wedding of their dreams! I'd recommend WCG to anyone and everyone! A pop up rain cloud delayed the ceremony start by only 15 minutes and they were so quick to get everything set up quickly so we could proceed- it was a wonderful magical evening! We heard so many compliments about what a beautiful wedding it was! Thanks Chris and team!!

I had my wedding at this venue and it was absolutely GORGEOUS. This place is stunning, no doubt about it. The only complaint I have is that the sale coordinator, Chris, is a little unresponsive. In my experience you have to contact her twice in order to get a response. But the day of, everything went great. Food was amazing and of course the grounds are beautiful. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

Wine Country Gardens was the best venue for our wedding. It was absolutely perfect!

I had my rehearsal dinner and reception at the wine country gardens. It was very beautiful but I had some issues. First and foremost, I was told I would be able to decorate the night before if I booked my rehearsal dinner there (this was a MUST for me when chosing my venue. I was later informed that they double booked the day and booked another reception that didn't end until a half hour after my ceremony started! Needless to say all of my decorations didn't get put up and I was very horrified. I also never got an appology from the owner, which really was all I wanted. Also, I was told I could play the first dance song from an ipod only to find out during the reception that it would be nearly impossible (though I luckily had some persistant bridesmaids). Overall, make sure anything you want is written in the contract. Lastly, the workers were VERY nice and helpful.

My wedding and reception were BEAUTIFUL! It stormed all day and we even suffered tornado sirens, but we were able to have the outdoor wedding that I dreamed of! Perfect for outdoor weddings because they have such beautiful scenery and also several indoor options if it rains!

Wine Country Gardens is a beautiful property. Chris, the owner, was very nice and helpful with our wedding planning. They are very flexible in meeting with clients and provided great service up to the day of the wedding. The service the night of the wedding I felt was A-Ok. I had a few minor complaints from guests after the event. My only complaint: I tried to get a bottle of beer after the bar switched from open bar to cash bar, and having a wedding gown on I didn't really have a pocket to have cash on me. When I ordered my beer, the bartender rudely reminded me that it was now cash bar and I needed to pay for my beer before she would give it to me...pretty embarrassing! They could have simply added it to the tab for the night if they were really concerned about getting paid for the beer. But for the industry and how much we paid to have this venue, if I were the bartender I would have just handed the beer to the bride and said congratulations. Overall, a good experience

We had the ceremony and reception here and it was just stunning! The views, the atmosphere made it feel romantic and intimate. The openness at the reception made you feel close to the outside. The staff are so friendly and food was fantastic! My family and friends said it was one of the most fun weddings they have been to!

We fell in love with WCG the minute we stepped foot on the property. We knew it was the one. And it was absolutely perfect. Everyone was so accommodating, the staff was extremely helpful, and they let us do pretty much whatever we wanted! It was gorgeous. The food was delicious. We had our rehearsal dinner there too! Everything was amazing. Couldn't have asked for anything better or more perfect. Highly recommend it if you're looking for an outdoor wedding!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at wine country gardens, and it was beautiful. Whats nice about this place is that there is an indoor and outdoor area so you dont have to worry about the possibility of rain. The winery is gorgeous with tons of flowers outside and a great view of the river valley (it sits up high on a hill). Chris, the wedding coordinator was very laid back and easily adapted to fit my needs. The only negative thing i have to say about this place is that things seemed a little disorganized the day of the wedding (we had to rush to get the tables ready before the reception because we couldn't set up ahead of time because they have regular winery customers during the day). The price is very reasonable as well and the food was great!
