ere someday. We had our wedding here in September and it was truly perfect. The staff was so knowledgeable and timely that I didn't have to worry about a thing. The Event Coordinator Hannah was fantastic and so nice to work with. She answered all of my questions and helped keep us organized leading up to the wedding and the day of. The venue is stunning and so willing to work with you to ensure the day is fit to you! We also decided to add fireworks to our package and surprised all of our wedding guests and it was SO worth it! If you are on the fence, just do it. Our guests loved it and it really set the tone and got everyone up and on the dance floor afterwards. I seriously wish I could relive our day over and over and I wouldn't have changed a single thing!

The setups inside at the tables were beautiful. Hannah did a great job facilitating with our wedding coordinator and the other vendors and everything went smooth. She did extra accommodations for the wedding party and families for some special circumstances that made everything go so smooth. My 96-year-old Mom who recently had a dental plate installed and they worked with her so she could have a meal she could enjoy. There were other similar requests. She made accommodations for a photo booth close to the dance floor, set up the timing of the fireworks, worked with the band so they could have inside music and outside music for all the guests, provided the perfect outdoor location at the lake for the ceremony, and on and on. Any special requests we had; Hannah tried to accommodate. I would highly recommend if you want a beautiful outdoor wedding and the reception all together to have your wedding at Definance Ridge. We will remember the wedding forever. Thank you Hannah and Defiance Ridge Team! You truly made the wedding so special!

There wasn’t a beat skipped with the new wedding coordinator. Hannah was wonderful and worked so hard to make the final planning process easy. They were able to make small changes quickly when needed and it never seemed like an inconvenience to them. Most importantly, the staff was seamless on the day of our wedding! Food was served quickly, it was delicious, the staff was so eager to please us and our guests. We absolutely loved our experience with Defiance Ridge and hope to be able to attend a wedding there soon!

g we had dreamed and more. They even catered to our special meal request to have breakfast for dinner and it was a huge hit with our guests. Even with a little sprinkle of rain, the team was able to get our ceremony set up outside and started just in time for a rainbow and sunset. If you have it in your budget and want to surprise your guest I would highly recommend doing the fireworks. It was such a special moment and the display was magical (and a perfect photo opportunity). I seriously can’t say enough good things about this place and the people. Throughout the whole process everyone we talked to was professional and friendly. The whole venue is gorgeous and has the perfect atmosphere for a wedding. The only thing I wish they could do is figure out how to reverse time so we could relive it one more time. The transition from the open winery for the public until 5pm to our reception at 6pm was seamless. The staff was gracious and helpful the whole night including helping us take down our decorations at the end. The food was delicious. I would recommend Michelle and Defiance Ridge to anyone looking to plan a beautiful wedding any time of year.

Michelle made sure to connect and guide all of my other vendors like DJ, photographer, etc. I didn't have to think about anything the day of except just having a great time. They take care of everything at the venue from food to drinks to linens and chairs. This made wedding planning such a breeze so that we didn't have to book individual vendors. Several of our other vendors even commented on how accommodating and friendly every DRV teammember was while they were setting up. Last but not least, we had such a positive experience working with Michelle, the wedding coordinator. She gave us great advice, was always available for any and all questions throughout the planning process (never making us feel bad for asking so many questions), and was a great point person to help us navigate everything leading up to the big day. She is seriously amazing and DRV is lucky to have her. We would absolutely recommend DRV for your wedding ceremony and reception, or just the reception. We could not have asked for a more perfect day and that's thanks to the team at DRV.

I had planned for an outside ceremony, but we had a cold day in March, so we were able to have a beautiful ceremony inside and Michelle and her team quickly flipped the room. Additionally, because of COVID we chose to reschedule from October 2020 to Nov 2021. We were extremely lucky she had dates available, and we were so grateful that she was so flexible with our decision to push it back. She even stayed part of the night to make sure everything was running smoothly! The food was also absolutely amazing, everything we tasted at the menu tastings was delicious it made it hard to choose! They were luckily very accommodating with the food menu offering vegetarian, kids, and were sensitive to the food allergies of our guests. Everyone loved the food and our signature cocktail, a sangria, was a big hit too! The room is super spacious with the fireplaces on either side of the room, which kept things toasty even in November. Additionally, she allowed us to take some beautiful pictures on the property beforehand! Everyone was talking about how beautiful everything was! Everything was simply perfect! My only wish is that the night would have lasted longer because it seemed like the night just flew by!

The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Days after the event, guests were messaging my husband and I letting us know how amazing the food was. The bar was staffed well and the wine was a hit as always. I would get married here 1000x over. Michelle even worked with my mom to surprise my husband and I with a firework show. This is the best venue and I am so happy I got to spend the best day of my life at my favorite place. We are so very thankful for the staff at Defiance Ridge.

Having an outdoor (but covered) venue is perfect when your worried about planning a wedding during COVID! The breeze on the dance floor in the evening was so perfect! Michelle and her staff will make your day everything you've dreamed of for a perfect winery wedding!

As we're getting our pictures back, I'm just stunned. The reception area is beautiful, the open sides allow for views of the grounds, the string lights give the best ambiance, and they were super flexible on the layout and setup of the area. The food and drinks were incredible. Numerous guests keep reaching out to us to tell us that this was the best wedding food they've ever had! Again, I cannot say enough positive things about Defiance Ridge. It was the setting I've dreamed about for our wedding and I'm just so grateful for the entire experience. We will definitely be back as guests and will be celebrating all future anniversaries here!

m so glad I followed through! I don't know whether or call it luck, fate, or something else, but we had the most perfect wedding here. The staff – especially Michelle – are absolutely amazing. Everyone is so sweet and helpful. Wedding planning and the big event itself were a breeze in big part because of them. Michelle answered all my questions and was there the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly. On top of that, you really get it all at Defiance Ridge: gorgeous views, the ideal outdoor ceremony spot, and an air-conditioned reception space that lets you keep that outdoor feel while staying cool in the summer. Our wedding happened to be on a record-breakingly hot day in June (I think it hit 100) and everyone said the reception was great. And the food! Our guests were so impressed with their meals, everything at Defiance Ridge is delicious. Michelle and the kitchen staff are super accommodating of dietary restrictions. Plus you get to take advantage of all the delicious wines and craft beers. It's also LGBTQ+ friendly for any other same-sex couples looking a venue. Everyone on-site was extremely welcoming and happy to host an event with two brides. I genuinely do not have one bad thing to say about the place!

The weather was rainy/cold/yucky, but none of our guests noticed because they were having such a great time. We had planned fireworks & Michelle was flexible throughout the evening to ensure we got the firework show we wanted despite the bad weather! The firework show was awesome & definitely worth the money. Our guests loved it & it was a special moment for my husband & I, not to mention the awesome photo op! Additionally, we got so many compliments on the food at the reception. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had. Also, the alcohol selection was more abundant than at a typical wedding venue, which we appreciated. With the upgraded package, we had all domestic beers, seltzer’s, craft beers, 6 wine choices & all top shelf liquors. There was something for everyone! My husband & I are so happy we chose Defiance Ridge Vineyards as our wedding reception venue. We had so much fun & we know our guests did too! The big fireplace, the indoor/outdoor feel, the string lights & the big dance floor were the details that contributed to the wedding reception we always imagined.
