Del'avant Event Center

After searching and searching for the perfect venue to have our wedding, we finally came across Del’avant Event Center in LaGrange, GA and we were in love. We booked the parlor for our wedding ceremony, the rooftop for our cocktail hour, and the Kress ballroom for our reception. We also opted to have Anna as our Wedding coordinator which proved to be one of our best decisions throughout the wedding planning process. First of all, the building is stunning. The hardwood floors, the ceilings, the floor to ceiling drapes, the brick walls, and large windows all work together to create a space that has the perfect style and ambiance for any wedding. We loved it because we did not have to spend much on extra decorations. Our guests commented on our venue afterwards, some saying it was the prettiest they had seen. Also, the flow of the building allowed our guests to move from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception with ease. Another huge bonus that attracted us is that this event center allows you to bring in your own venders. This is rare in the wedding venue industry and we were able to save a ton of money on choosing our own venders and bringing in our own alcohol. Anna was a wonderful wedding coordinator. She went above and beyond in helping us leading up to the wedding and the day of. She constantly volunteered to take on tasks and help us with any planning detail big or small. She researched locations for my bridal luncheon and she found someone to make our ice cream groom’s cake. She responded quickly to all my emails and questions and always re-assured me throughout the planning process. She worked great with my mom and I and did not ever seem frustrated or bothered that we were bombarding her with questions and plans from all angles. Anna also generously borrowed a music stand and cake stand for us to use. What a pleasure to work with her. On the wedding day Anna was able to manage and take control of the day while always remaining calm, collected, and positive with a smile on her face. Silly me, I forgot my bouquet right before I was supposed to walk down the aisle and she kindly sprinted to get it for me. No one noticed the delay and she was able to laugh with me about the blunder later in the night. She paid attention to detail and worked hard to make sure we were happy with everything. This gave me so much peace because I saw she had a handle on things! Multiple members of our bridal party told us later that our planner was awesome! We are thankful we chose Del’avant and worked with Anna as our coordinator. Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be thanks to the beautiful venue and Anna’s coordinating skills! Venue was beautiful, perfect for my winter wedding. They were flexible on set-up hours and allowed me to create exactly the vision I had in my head. Bridal suite was lovely and a great place to hang out for the day. They also already had much of the technical equipment we needed, so the audio setup was incredibly easy. Not to mention a reasonable price for the how much they provide. Loved it.

My husband and I got married here June 12th and we could not have been any happier! The venue is amazing and naturally beautiful so not a lot needs to be done as far as decor. It also has a bridal and groom suite which was perfect for us getting ready. Anna was EXCELLENT to work with! She made sure everything was on point and that our day was just the way we wanted it to be. She has a very sweet and kind spirit and knows how to get the job done. Throughout our entire engagement she went above and beyond her call of duty and communicated with us regularly to ensure things were going as planned. If we could do it all over again we wouldn't change a thing!

If you want a beautiful historic venue with loads of personality, someplace beyond the usual, Del’Avant is your place. We chose Del’Avant for our January 3, 2016 wedding and are so glad we did. Anna Knight is a joy to work with. She’s calm, organized, creative, and responsive. After meeting with us to talk about our needs, she provided us with detailed floorplans and check lists for how the rooms would be set up for the ceremony and the reception. Anna made great suggestions to maximize event flow, and on our big day, everything was as promised. Nearly everything is included in the price: Chivari chairs for the ceremony and reception; tables for dinner plus tables on the rooftop balcony; wood bars for beverage stations; tufted chairs and casual tables in groupings around the ballroom and balcony; custom parking signage; in-house sound the DJ can plug into; Pandora radio on your choice of station for background music; and more. The price gives you the entire building for twelve hours, which meant we could take our time getting ready and clearing out--what a stress reliever! This includes suites for the bridal party to get ready. They have large bathrooms, plenty of room to hang garments, large mirrors, classy yet comfy furniture, and even an easy-to-use steam machine to steam wrinkles out of everyone’s finery. We did not serve alcohol so we didn’t have to deal with the extra insurance or security requirements. The McLellan Parlor was perfect for our ceremony. 100 guests comfortably sat four to the row on either side of a center aisle. Del’Avant provided a lovely long carpet runner in grey with an ivory leaf pattern for the center aisle at no extra charge. We used one of the bars as our “altar” and decorated it with a floral centerpiece, candles, a long embroidered runner, and crocheted snowflakes hanging down the front. The room is so stunning, that’s all we needed. Kress Ballroom is stunning, too; easy to personalize with simple decorations. Del’Avant can provide table linens in black, white or ivory at $10 per table, which includes napkins. We had black table cloths with white napkins for guests and white table cloths with black napkins for the bridal party. Note: the front windows are open so passersby often peer in at the party. We didn't mind: it made us feel like celebrities but if you're shy, ask about closing the drapes. We used the rooftop patio for our cocktail hour with three large heaters, included at no extra charge, to ensure guests would be warm. The rooftop patio is enchanting with great views plus white lights strung in the trees. Pre-set tables and chairs made our guests comfortable. Parking is ample and free. The building is completely handicap accessible. We loved being able to choose our own caterer and baker so we could have a 100% gluten free reception. We also loved being able to choose our other vendors, though Del’Avant has a list of vendors to recommend. Our caterers loved the large prep-kitchen with lots of fridge space and many prep tables. Del’Avant is everything it promises: classy, beautiful, unforgettable, and affordable. There were no hidden fees and we got our security deposit back days after our wedding. Anna Knight was a joy to work with, and we loved every inch of the venue. Our guests still are raving about Del’Avant and so are we.

Del'avant was a perfect place for a reception. It was beautiful and so elegant. The round tables covered with linens and overlays were formal and added to the atmosphere. There was room to walk around and dance. Everyone had a great time. The staff was friendly and helpful. Anna Knight, the event coordinator, was most accomodating. She returned calls and answered emails promptly and advised us how to do things. I am well pleased that we chose Del'avant for our daughters wedding reception.

We used Del'avant for a Baby Shower, it was wonderful and the facilities are beautiful, great location!!

Del'avant Event Center is an awesome and beautiful place to have a wedding.. Mrs.Anna Knight is great :) everything was up and ready on time the floor plan was did just as we planned... overall everything was beautiful... p.s. me and my husband is thinking about doing our 1st year anniversary dinner there...

We were very pleased with our selection to use Del'avant. Everything was clean and pleasantly decorated. Everyone helped to make the Wedding a night to remember.

Anna and her team were wonderful to work with. They pulled out all the stops to make sure our event was perfect! Whether it is a wedding, a corporate event, or anything in between, choose the Del'Avant! You won't be sorry!!! The space is perfectly designed to accomodate the maximum number of guests without feeling cramped. The decor is such that only minimal decorating is needed. I love the space, the team and downtown LaGrange.

After all the months of planning my daughter's wedding day finally arrived. A beautiful church wedding and then the reception at Del'avant. Her one request was to leave by 9 pm because they had to drive to Atlanta to catch an early flight to Hawaii the next day. But when I mentioned to her that night that it was 9 pm, she was having so much fun dancing she changed her mind and told me thank you for giving her the best day of her life! Del'avant was beautiful, fun to decorate and had great space for the band. We had around 250 guests and there was plenty of room for tables and chairs and a dance floor. Parking was easy and the walkway out back was a good place for the sendoff with sparklers. Even though she got married at the church she and her bridemaids met at Del'avant first to get ready. Such a beautiful brides room and large enough for all 10 in her party. I can't think of anything we would have changed. Highly recommend. Great addion to downtown LaGrange. The total cost was less than $5500 (with linens) and we had the entire facility incuding the rooftop.

I hosted a brunch on the Rooftop Garden and could not have been more thrilled with the event. We had so many compliments from the guests and the honoree was delighted. We had around fifty guests and had the Delavant staff add a few round banquet tables and chairs so we could seat them for a brunch buffet. The rooftop was furnished with beautiful wooden outdoor tables, chairs & loveseats. It also features a fountain and even has trees. The only decorating we had to do was add a few floral centerpieces to the round banquet tables. We had our own caterer set up two buffet lines, one for food and the other for beverages. We played the Sirius Jazz station for background music. Everything worked out better than planned.

I highly recommend Del'avant Event Center for wedding receptions. They were always very helpful and prompt! The venue is also beautiful! We really enjoyed using the bride and grooms rooms.

This was the most beautiful venue! I am so happy that we chose to work with Del'Avant for our wedding. From the pre-planning, to the event, to the follow-ups the staff was both friendly and professional and made the entire process smooth! The site is perfect for multiple locations all in one that keep your guests with plenty to do. We had our cocktail hour and photo booth in the parlor, reception and dinner in the ballroom, and relaxing on the rooftop. I highly recommend Del'Avant Event Center!!!

They were very accommodating. They set everything up for us. Even the bar tender. Would refer this event building to anyone getting married in the area. Also was ideal in July since its hot and rained my wedding day. Also plenty of parking.

I had been searching online for weeks making lists of places that I was interested in for my wedding. My mom and I checked out a number of them in person, yet nothing really blew me away. Right before I began to become doubtful that I'd find anything is when I came across the Del'avant. The fact that is over an hour away from downtown Atlanta did not detract me from the fact that this venue is perfect! They are so accomodating and the facility is top notch. You and your guests will love it. Anna Knight is the director and she was so helpful and wonderful to work with. If I had to do it all over again, I'd work with them again. You won't be disappointed. You will have a great time, your pictures will look fabulous and it's an amazing value!

OMG! I can't put into words to speak about this place and the staff. I saved so much on decor because the Del'avant speaks for itself. Teh staff is on top of every detail and there were even a laptop and screen offered to me for kids to watch a movie while parents enjoyed the reception. Best choice I ever made.
