Serving Columbus, OH and the surrounding areas, Delightful Sounds is a wedding band duo that plays a violin and a hammered dulcimer. The romantic music that is produced by the combination of these instruments is sure to delight guests and create an elegant effect at your wedding. Priscilla Hewertson and Ellen Ford are professional musicians with many years of experience performing in the Ohio area. Both women have degrees in music and specialize in Victorian and Celtic traditions. Years ago, they discovered a mutual love for performing together and Delightful Sounds was born. Delightful Sounds is available for hire at your wedding to play during the ceremony, reception, or both. They'll work with you to pick out a selection of music that suits your style, ranging from classical wedding standards to beautiful interpretations of your favorite songs. Their aim is to enhance your special day with their music, so they are open-minded and flexible in their approach. Whatever soundtrack you choose, you can be sure that their performance will wow your crowd.

Due to Covid-19 and sudden change in plans on our side, we had only Priscilla, from the Delightful Sounds duo, play music for our wedding ceremony on May 24, 2020. She did such a fantastic job. My fiancé at the time, and I had such a pleasant time listening to Priscilla play possible songs during our meeting in order to pick our song list. Her extensive experience and great musical knowledge led to great suggestions and the perfect music at our ceremony, she even merged "Here comes the bride" and "All of me" for when I walked down the aisle creating a beautiful traditional and modern feel all at the same time. Everybody really enjoyed the music at our intimate ceremony and we couldn't recommend them enough!

Priscilla and Ellen did an excellent job playing the music for our wedding ceremony on August 19, 2017. My fiancé, mom and I had a great time listening to Priscilla play song after song during our meeting to choose the song list. Her extensive experience led to great suggestions and the perfect music at our ceremony. Priscilla also made the effort to come to our rehearsal to make sure everything would go smoothly for our wedding. They did a great at our wedding and we would recommend them fully heartedly!

These two ladies are amazing! Not only is their music beautiful but they also helped lay hay down my aisle way before the wedding(due to the fact that it had been raining all day and let up about 1.5hrs before the ceremony) they are absolutely wonderful women and have lots of talent! We couldn't have been happier with them on our big day!! Thank you ladies so much!

I loved working with Priscilla and Ellen for our ceremony music! We got married outside at Jeffrey Mansion, and they knew the space well because they have performed there many times. Priscilla is very responsive to e-mails and was easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed working with them to select the music for our ceremony. There were many choices (they play classic wedding songs, instrumental covers of modern songs, and folk music), and what we came up with was unique and perfect for us. I loved how, when choosing the music, Priscilla gave us background stories on many of the songs, especially the folk songs, which added extra meaning to our choices. Priscilla worked with our officiant to make sure they were on the same page. Also, their pricing is very affordable. These ladies went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfectly executed, and on top of that they were so sweet and seem to really enjoy what they do. Thank you so much Priscilla and Ellen!

These ladies are fabulous and so fun to work with! We had a last minute cancellation/change in plans and luckily, Ellen and Priscilla were still free to play at our wedding (just a month before the big day)! They could not have been sweeter, and we had so many compliments on how classy and elegant their music was. We are so happy they were available for our wedding, and would recommend to anyone looking for live musicians!

This duo is AMAZING! Although, as the bride, I didn't get to hear the music. I got MANY compliments on their talent. I would recommend these ladies to anyone that plans on an outdoor wedding, especially if it will be in the woods.
