Dellwood Barn Weddings

We opted to get married inside of the barn for a rustic but chic fall look. All of the lights that come in the barn made it so magical along with the rental decor from the venue. We hardly needed any additional decor items because the venue has everything you need, which made planning so easy and stress free! The bonfire/s'mores was perfect for a fall evening wedding and all of our guests enjoyed the grounds and seeing the horses/dogs! We recommend this barn if you're looking for a great location and easy planning wedding.

Owner watched us like hawks and gave our DJ a very hard time. Owner was so rude and yelled at many of the ppl in the wedding including my husband. I will NEVER suggest this place!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. It’s a pretty venue but not worth the crap she makes everyone deal with. This bride also was employed by her and she still treated her this way! JUST SHOWS CHARACTER. DJ also mentioned he would never suggest this place to any one. Worst experience he has had ever as a DJ. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, over priced and she’s very deceitful.

When the bridal party asked for their mimosas that were paid for, Julie responded “well if your nice” in a condescending attitude. After the ceremony the photographer took the wedding party across the road to get shots by the fall leaves. When they returned Julie yelled at the photographer saying “Umm no we don’t do that.” Another incident happened at the very end of the night where the parents of the bride were dancing to the last song of the night and there was 1 minute left of the song, Julie yelled at the DJ to cut it off and everyone get out at 10:30. I am extremely disappointed and saddened by the experience we had at Dellwood. Julie ruined a very special day for the guest and wedding party. Beware. The venue is gorgeous but the hospitality is awful.

of us entertained throughout the whole night! I have attended a lot of weddings and this was by far one of my favorite venues to attend and enjoy a summer night wedding. They have super fun cocktails you can purchase as well as a bonfire with s'mores kit ready to make your own. We had lots of fun options to take photos and super fun sunset areas! We all danced the night away and were sad to see it all come to an end! If you or a friend is looking for a great venue, I would recommend looking into this one! The staff was also super helpful when we needed something, kept the venue super clean and the day ran smoothly and transitioned well!

al suite for getting ready in the morning was a brides dream - we all had breakfast and mimosas while we did our hair and makeup. They have getting ready bar/station with plenty of space for all of the bridesmaids and all of our stuff! There were so many fun places to take pictures, everything was so gorgeous and a pinterest dream we were all saying the day of. All of the groosmen and fun hanging outside by the yard games while the girls got ready! Once the wedding started and all of our other friends arrived we had a great time dancing the night away, hanging out by the fire and enjoying the property! Highly recommend this venue for your wedding!

half ago until the wedding day things went so great! The planning process was so smooth because the venue and staff have all of planning tools and decor that you need. The owners were super great to work with and helpful every step of the way. They literally think of everything you could need to help you plan the wedding as well as take care of everything the day of! The day of the wedding also went super smooth and guests loved the venue space and staff who take care of everything! They staff made sure we had what we needed all day long and any last minute things that we forgot! If you are looking for a stress free wedding process and day of, you should book here!

told my mother 100 days before the wedding we could look for another venue if we wanted since things were going so badly. The owner overcharges on everything and it is her way or the highway. If you would like someone to plan your wedding for you and not make it unique to yourself you should go to DWB. If you would like to have your own wedding with your unique touches do not go here since everything you ask for will be rejected. For example, it was a fight to change the specialty drink, change where things go in the barn, put the memory table somewhere else, move fake plants and many other issues. Multiple times, they never pressed reply all in the emails where I had specific people copied on it to see her answers. Several times, emails would be ignored, and attempts to set up only phone calls would be made. I would individually have to forward every email she sent to me. Never felt so stressed out about the planning process. On the day of, the tables were not set up according to the layout I was provided and planned seats according to. Multiple guests and tables were in the wrong spot, not in accordance with the outline. The outline I was given showed the buffet was by the barn but no one told me they moved the buffet to the tables by the door. Overall, the day of the wedding went well. Guests were happy and had a blast, there were no complaints from anyone about service or the atmosphere. I hired a wedding planner and had the best florist in the world to help make my wedding beautiful and unique to me. My florist did an amazing job fighting to decorate how we wanted it. Things went smoothly on the day of the wedding, for the most part, but the process before the wedding was extremely difficult and complicated and at took much of the fun out of the wedding reception due to stress beforehand that could have been avoided.

cleaned up beautifully. The whole day went so smooth, Julie and Vicki took care of anything that we needed (talk about a great tag team!) The transition from ceremony to reception was fluid and ready to go for the timeline provided. The vendors were all very considerate and like a well oiled machine. From dinner to dancing was a breeze, with a nice big fan on the dance floor to keep everyone cool and dancing all night long. You cannot ask for a better memory than you’re wedding day, and this is the place to make all those wonderful moments come to fruition. Do not wait and book with them today!

Their turn-key service makes for a smooth planning process and all the details that go into planning the perfect day. Great attention to detail! Staff is very professional and attentive to the bridal party and guest needs!

to May 2021 because of the pandemic and my dad passing from Stage 4 lung cancer it just allowed me to be in a better place mentally to actual be able to enjoy my day. If you want a beautiful venue and to do very little work to make it even more beautiful, pick DBW. Pay for the upgraded package for their decor rental and you''ll spend an hour picking out pinterest worthy items that have been proven to look good with their set up, and they even do all the work on the big day to stage the items for you. I literally just had to show up and give Julie the seating chart. That was the extent of my decorating. That's it. And it was GORGEOUS. We got so many compliments on the venue! Also, to double up on how little effort I had to really put in planning this reception, DBW's welcome package has a list of all their "preferred" vendors (which is mostly just vendors that have been there before and had a positive experience) and they were all high quality professionals. I went with everyone off their list except for flowers/hair/makeup and have no complaints! We definitely lucked out and had a beautiful day weather wise, which is great because DBW is a big property with a lot of space for guests to mingle outside. Part of the decor package is yard games, so we had cornhole, hammerschlagen, yard golf, various tables/chairs to sit and gather at, a smores bar/fire pit and if you ask nicely and Scott is in town, they'll even do a tractor ride (that you can take booze on!). They also have various horses and dogs (in pens) that are very friendly that guests can interact with. And they are very well behaved. My reception was very casual and whenever the guests that were interested in the dogs came up for pets, there was no jumping or anything. We didn't have a very hot day, but we still had the AC on. There's two AC units, but there's one that's directly on the dance floor and you better believe I incorporated dancing in front of it as a move because it was industrial strength and worked so well. The barn doors had to be closed to both keep the noise from the DJ as well as the cool air in but it was not a factor at all. Honestly if you work with contracts regularly DBW isn't really any different. Make sure you read over it/know about the early end time (1030pm roughly, but they want everyone out by 1100pm), the special event insurance, the special insurance if you don't go with their suggested DJ (we went with their recommendation, ZeroGravity/Jeff and he was great, also already has the insurance), the closing of the barn doors while music is on, what alcohol is included in the buyback plan (also just a heads up if you do open bar and you hit your limit that you prepaid for, you can keep a card open and they'll check in with you every $500 to see if you still want to keep it open. Wasn't an issue for us but definitely is considerate since booze adds up fast and some people don't realize once they've been drinking), and things like that. The contract makes it seem like they are sticklers but honestly Julie and Scott were a blast. They even worked super hard to make sure that I had enough space for a Big Buck Hunter game for my reception as well as any other things I had questions or suggestions on. Seriously, they were so easy to work with, cannot recommend DBW enough!

One of the best parts for me as the bride was the decor package where Julie has a "pinterest room" where you can choose any of the decor that she has and DBW will set up and take down for you - this saved me SO much time and money during wedding planning! Julie was very helpful in planning the decor and keeping organized! She was also open to answering the (many) questions that we had. The animals on the property were also a big hit with both children and adults. Julie was also flexible with us - when she got our alcohol order wrong she gave us a keg of beer for free. Gave it 4 stars because there are a number of caveats in the contract that you need to be aware of before booking. For example, she has pretty strict policies on which alcohol she will buy back from you and which she will not, the DJ is required to have insurance and the doors have to be shut when playing music, you need to be out of the building by 11PM, etc. These items made it a bit of a hassle when planning and not always the most obvious in the contract. That being said would still recommend Julie, Scott, and the DBW crew!

was how easy the wedding planning process was. At this venue they have everything you need on site for decorations/ games etc... so you do not need to bring anything at all. At the end of the day you take your things and leave. The staff was amazing and they take care of everything you need throughout your big day. The land and barn make for great photos that will last a lifetime . Our guests also had a great day and keep telling us how great it was. We highly recommend getting married at this venue.

The staff is amazing and puts up with every little request! Even running to the drug store for random things needed! We cannot thank you and your team enough!

By having nearly everything we needed for decorating available and on site took so much hassle out of our planning process and allowed us to focus on the other aspects of our day. Included with our package was an entire planning guide that helped us figure out the tiny details that otherwise would be forgotten that made for a stress-free day. Julie and all the staff were incredibly professional, accommodating, helpful and created the best experience for us and all our guests. I highly recommend anyone to consider this venue for their wedding.

She supported us every step of the way as she is an expert at weddings and it was new territory for us! The barn and grounds are beautiful! Her recommendations for caterers are spot on! I would recommend upgrading to the package that includes the decorations (you're not having to buy things you will use once and her selection is beyond amazing), yard games, S'mores station, infused water, and sparkler send off! They all offer such worry-free "extras" that everyone loved! Plus, with the outside wedding ceremony, Julie has her eye on the weather at all times. If needed they would have moved the ceremony inside at no extra cost. She and her venue are top-notch! I'm saddened that our time with Julie is over. She really became a friend! PS Air conditioning in the barn and no extra cost for ceremony chairs which many venues charge $5 per chair! If you're looking for a stress-free wedding venue- look no further! It seriously took away so much of the stress of planning! Their decor options were exactly what I had in mind and Julie, the owner, really knows how to help you choose the perfect decor! Now, speaking of Julie. She saved my wedding day. Seriously, she was wonderful! First of all, she knows her stuff, so anything that comes up on your big day she can pretty much handle. I suffer from Multiple Sclerosis as well as PTSD and big long events like this can be REALLY tough on me both emotionally and physically. During our cocktail hour I started having a lot of pain which caused a peak of anxiety for me. Julie handled it like a pro, she got me a quiet place to sit down, water, talked to my family to clue them in on what was going on AND made sure my guests were happy and the party continued on. She was amazing and eventually I was able to get back out there and enjoy the rest of the night after her words of encouragement and support and her steps she took to make me comfortable. Thank you Julie! If you are looking for a rustic chic, stunning and amazingly coordinated venue, look no further. Dellwood is the place for you!

The Dellwood Barn is located in a serene and peaceful area just outside of town. It's a beautiful setting! The wedding on the hill, outdoor bar for cocktail hour, horses grazing in the pasture, air-conditioned barn, fabulous staff, and delicious catered food made for one of the best weddings I've ever attended. I'm so grateful we made the trip and will definitely be visiting the area again!

All in all, its a beautiful place for a wedding and we would recommend it!

She yelled at my kids as well as the other kids there multiple times and even grabbed my 3 year old by the arm and yanked her. After that, I told her to talk to me if there was a problem with my kids (all under 8 years old), but that she was not to talk to them or touch them. She responded by saying she would have the officer on duty (also a nice guy) talk to them instead! So I made sure she understood that only I or my husband would be talking to them. If you plan on having kids at your wedding, pick a different place.

e! DBW had many different styles and layouts to choose from and we were able to let our imaginations run wild and truly put your own unique twist on what we envisioned for our big day. When I walked into the barn, on our wedding day, it was truly phenomenal and brought tears to my eyes. I truly want to thank Julie and all the team Dellwood for making our wedding ceremony and reception one of the most memorable, beautiful, perfect days of my life!

The bridal suites, barn, lights, tables & decorations were all perfect and everything the bride and groom wanted! We are so thankful for how great the wedding went!

perfect day. I was carefree the entire day and was able to enjoy every bit of our wedding day. We also chose this venue because there was a little bit of "something" for everyone at the venue. There was a fire pit, yard games, outdoor seating, indoor seating, outdoor bar, indoor bar and private area for the wedding party. I have been thinking about my wedding since I was a little girl and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I owe a huge THANK YOU to Julie @ Dellwood barn for making all of my dreams come true. The day ran so smoothly even though we had to deal with a little rain ;) You and your staff did everything to make sure we could still get married outside! I would highly recommend this venue for people looking for an outdoor rustic venue, but still want that elegant feel. I would also recommend hiring Julie as your "wedding coordinator" for your wedding day. She made sure I was always on top of things, had great suggestions and allowed me to not worry about a single thing on my wedding day!

ndscapes, beautiful trees, and the barn feel that makes for really wonderful photographs. The barn is cute and beautifully decorated with lights and some cute rustic decor. I do however have a couple criticisms. Julie is the venue owner and event coordinator, if you decide to higher her for that additional service, which aside from getting to have a rehearsal time at the venue (on the Thursday prior to your wedding) I couldn't really figure out what her coordination fee was covering, granted I was very organized and had lots of family and friends helping out so in retrospect I may have not needed the coordinator service. First, if you prefer communication via email I would advise choosing a different venue. Julie heavily prefers talking on the phone, and when I would try to communicate via email (to have a paper trail, and a place where all the information could be easily reviewed if needed since there were some discrepancies between her advertised rates and the rates in our contract--she corrected this when we pointed it out, but just something to keep an eye out for), her responses would be delayed and sometimes ignore questions entirely. She also complained to my Mother and Officiant at our rehearsal about how I preferred to communicate via email. I generally got the feeling that she didn't like me very much. She was also very hyper vigilant about items in the barn and the property, as well as quite rigid about many different things. She would not allow us to use plastic clips on the barn tables to hang flowers from, despite offering to cover the clips in felt or use a table cloth. She was also very reluctant to allow our ceremony musician (Laurie Leigh Harpist, who was phenomenal and will reduce her usual fee for this venue since she lives quite close) to use a heater during the outdoor ceremony despite it being ~45 degrees that day. She initially refused to allow the heater, but fortunately Laurie was able to talk her into it. She did not allow our hairdresser into the bridal suite even 10 minutes early to start setting up for everyone else's arrival at 9. The contract also stated that we needed to have all items vacated from the bridal suite and groom's room by 6:30pm, but when we arrived there was a note in the bridal room that we needed to have everything out of the room half an hour after the ceremony ended (which for us was 4pm instead of 6:30pm). This is a bit minor, but still would have been nice to know prior to arriving that day. Also note that they raise dogs on the property, and we found several piles of dog poop around when we were taking pictures around the property with our photographer and videographer. These weren't all in off the beaten path areas as well, there was one right in the path of the processional walking up the hill. Fortunately a kind groomsmen picked it up and threw it away before it caused any problems. Overall, I don't regret having booked this place. It was a beautiful day and the photographs we've seen so far all look amazing. I just wish I would have know some of these things before I had made my decision.

We are so happy to be a Dellwood couple and would 10/5 stars get married here again. You won’t be disappointed!
