Delta Hotels by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront

My husband and I got married on 11/11/2023 and everything exceeded our expectations! I worked with Nicker Trainer and she is AMAZING! I planned the wedding in North Carolina, and Nicki guided me every step of the way. We really do appreciate working with Nicki and all of the staff at the Delta because they made this entire process so easy! Do not hesitate to have your wedding at the Delta! All of my guests truly enjoyed themselves, and they have all asked us to plan another wedding lol. We don’t know about that LOL, but, that speaks volumes about the venue, Nicki, and the staff!

Staff and venue were incomparable. Friendly, professional, Nothing was a problem. Heard no negative comments from any attendee. Could not have had a better experience.

Man, when we started our wedding vendor search right before COVID hit in 2019, we had one thing on our mind; we wanted to be married on the beach! Do you know how hard it is to have a beach wedding in in Virginia Beach, what with needing to have a permit to be married on a public beach, needing to come up with a separate back-up plan, in case of poor weather, and the separate fees you'd have to pay for chairs and arch rentals, not to mention figuring out parking for your guests?!? I was SO thankful that the Delta Hotels by Marriott was opening up four minutes from our home because they made planning a beach so effortless! Although their opening was delayed, and our original wedding date postponed, Dawn was my point-of-contact and a wealth of knowledge and information throughout our planning period! She gave me such confidence from the very beginning, starting with many e-mails answering my numerous questions (which spanned over the course of 2 1/2 years!). I don't know what I would have done without her! At the Delta, you'll have Dawn, who'll literally be there every step of the way answering any possible questions you have, and believe me, there will be many! She'll even go out of her way to find out ingredients used in the different meal options, if you have someone highly allergic to many random ingredients, and she'll do it without ever seeming like it's too much (although I do apologize for the countless inquiries I had for her! haha). At the Delta, you'll have the best view of the beach whether you choose to get married in the sand or the Dune Deck, and their reception hall overlooking the bay is breathtaking! Did I mention the beautiful room you get to stay in on your wedding night?!? It literally feels like a condo! I highly recommend upgrading to the full view of the bay! It's outstandingly beautiful! When my husband and I entered our hotel room for the night, we were greeted with a surprise gift from Dawn, that was oh-so-beautiful and appreciated! I feel like I have so much more I could say about the Delta and Dawn especially, but this is me trying to keep it brief! One last thing I need to mention though is the food is SO GOOD! You can't go wrong with any of the options! OH, also, the getting ready room, should you choose to use it, has makeup stations, couches, a balcony overlooking the bay, and SO MUCH space! I definitely recommend reserving the Whitehurst Suite for your girls to get ready in! PLEASE CHOOSE THE DELTA!! You will never regret it!

Dawn is AMAZING! She made everything so easy & made you feel so comfortable & confident that all details will be taken care of. The Delta hotel is a great venue for you and all your guests to 'park & play'! Everything is at your finger tips & make it so easy for the guests to relax and enjoy your event! I would recommend this venue to all brides looking in the Virginia Beach area.

I would highly recommend using the Delta for your wedding venue! The view, the venue, the staff and the hostess with the mostest, Dawn, did a fabulous job making our night magical. Knowing we had two extra options just in case the weather didn’t cooperate was such a piece of mind for everyone! Dawn helped us through the entire process and promptly answered any questions we had during the planning process. The day of our wedding was flawless- no really, it was! We owe many many thanks to everyone at the Delta!!!

This venue is absolutely gorgeous. I am so thankful for being able to have my wedding here. The Whitehurst Suite was incredibly spacious and the perfect place to get ready with my bridesmaids. Dawn is incredibly attentive and gets back to you with questions ASAP. She had everything set up so perfectly, that I have zero regrets about anything from my wedding. The deck is the perfect place for cocktail hour and an awesome extra space during the reception with places for your guest to sir and chat. The ballroom is beautiful and spacious. And has a beautiful view of Chicks Beach and the Chesapeake. The food and bar package were affordable and the drinks were amazing and the food was incredibly delicious! The ceremony, into cocktail hour into the reception went so smoothly there were no awkward pauses in between any of the portions of the event. I could not recommend the Delta Hotel more for any bride looking for a beautiful wedding that is incredibly convenient at the same time.

Everything for our special day was perfect. The bridal ready room was amazing (Whitehurst Suite) - it had beautiful views of the bay and plenty of room for both prepping, dressing and eating. The deck was a lovely venue for our ceremony, and the reception room itself was fantastic. Food and beverage service was great. All of our guests had a fabulous time. The ability to host a wedding and then have our guests stay at the hotel made for a truly wonderful experience. A HUGE shout out to Dawn R, the wedding event coordinator from the Delta. She was so wonderful to work with. She responded to our emails promptly and worked with us throughout the planning to ensure our wedding was perfect. There were no hiccups at all from start to finish - the entire planning process and event itself went flawlessly. Thank you Dawn for all you did to make our special day one we will never forget.

I highly recommend the Delta for your wedding! All of the staff was extremely professional, kind, and accommodating. Dawn took care of us from beginning to end, making the planning process seamless and enjoyable. The views were beautiful, food fantastic, and rooms were beyond nice. I had a magical wedding thanks to the Delta team!

The Delta Virginia Beach executed our wedding flawlessly! Dawn Roberson, the Wedding Sales Manager was a pleasure to work with. She was on top of it which really helped since RSVP’s were changing just days before the wedding. She was present on the day of the wedding to ensure everything went smoothly. The staff at this hotel were so friendly and accommodating to us and our guests. The beach is so much more private compared to the main strip of Virginia Beach, perfect for a wedding!

We had the most amazing wedding reception at the Delta!! We used the Dune Deck for cocktail hour and the Sunset Ballroom for dinner/dancing. Our guests were blown away by the amazing hotel from the gorgeous views to the amazing service and the accommodations. We received so many compliments on everything! Dawn was such a helpful and organized resource to us in planning the day. She went above and beyond to bring our vision to life and worked so hard to put our minds at ease the day of. We would highly recommend this venue to any couple who is looking for a great venue with accommodations for your guests all in one place!

The venue was absolutely gorgeous and Dawn was AMAZING to work with! The venue was so accommodating and the Whitehurst (bridal) Suite is a MUST for all brides and their parties. Our guests complimented the food and it was delicious! From the food, the view, the night of the wedding’s complimentary night’s stay and room block, you can’t go wrong with Delta! The only negative feedback we did have was the treatment we received from one of the night managers after the wedding was over and our wedding party re-entered from a beer run. My husband did not have a mask and the manager told him he had to leave and was very short-tempered. Some of our guests also mentioned that the bartender we had for our event was rude when they came to order another drink (we purchased the open bar for this event- which was also very reasonably priced). Aside from those small notes, this venue really was a treat and gave us the perfect wedding!
