We had another venue, but weren't very convinced. We remember seeing weddings at the Denver Botanic Gardens when we visited last year, so we decided to contact them to see what availability they had. To our surprise they did! (Mind you the wedding was less than 4 months away).
Our venue sales associate, Russ Schubert, was so thorough with the information provided to us before booking. And once booked he was very responsive, supportive, and flexible with all of our questions and visits to the garden. We decided to go with the Woodland Mosaic for our small wedding and honestly there was no better place for our wedding. Truly an unforgettable and magical time at the gardens!

We got married at the Denver Botanic Gardens and it was absolutely perfect! The gardens were stunning — every corner looked like a dream backdrop. Our point of contact, Mason, was wonderful to work with — super organized, kind, and made everything run so smoothly. The space is truly magical and 100% worth it for a wedding

My husband and I held our wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens in the Woodland Mosaic. We highly recommend Denver Botanic Gardens for the scenery and the ease of wedding planning. Our event coordinator, Mason, made everything so easy. Mason anticipated our needs and clearly organized each stage of planning. The Gardens were a perfect spot to also take photos with family and friends. If you are looking to hold your wedding in Denver, please check out Denver Botanic Gardens!

We had our wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens and it was wonderful. The staff executed everything flawlessly, and it was the perfect place to start our marriage.
We got married in the Woodland Mosaic Solarium. It is the best place for a small, intimate gathering and feels private and beautiful. Cannot recommend this venue enough!

I had my wedding ceremony in the Water Garden Gazebo. We (bride, groom, & guests) loved it! It was a lovely location- a straight walk from the visitor center and touch up room. It was easy to spot and covered so that if it had rained, we would have been protected from the rain! We worked with the Botanic Gardens event planning team to secure our venue at the Water Garden Gazebo, which was very easy to do. We really appreciated the prompt responses to our emails and the thorough details provided to us by the event planning team as we planned our wedding from across the country! The Botanic Gardens was the perfect choice for a venue- the backdrop of our ceremony was lovely and our guests were able to enjoy the gardens while the bride and groom took their wedding portraits. It was a win-win for everyone!!

The Botanic Gardens was a great place to host our small wedding! We had a small wedding (less than 20 people) at the Water Gazebo and had an absolutely wonderful time. It was decently affordable, lots of options for furniture and set up. Our contact, Russ, explained everything super well and was helpful providing vendor recommendations and explaining all of the policies. My only concern was at first we only had 1 ready room for an hour, but Russ was able to get us a different room for the whole day, which was perfect!

My husband and I just tied the knot at the Woodland Mosaic in the Denver Botanic Gardens. We planned this event ourselves, though our event contact, Kyle Carr-Patrick was the key to our success. He was very knowledgeable, answered all of our many questions, helped us problem solve made sure our day went smoothly, and was overall great to work with. Highly recommend this venue for a small wedding (~50 people). We had a wonderful time and will remember this experience as fond for the rest of our lives.

We were able to have a lovely intimate wedding here. They had many options for our 10 person wedding at a variety of price points. Our Event Coordinate Russ Schubert was a delight to work with. Walked us through all our options, and when weather looked like it might turn the morning of, gave us a ton of different ways to pivot to an indoor location. It ended up being a perfect day, in large part thanks to Russ and his help.

We had a brunch wedding mid June in the Woodland Mosaic space. We couldn't have dreamed of a more magical location to celebrate. Not only were all the flowers in bloom, the trees and foliage surrounding the green house added shade from the summer sun, some privacy from gardens visitors and an unbelievable backdrop to all our photos.
Though the space appears small we were able to fit 42 of our closest friends and family (including 2 wheel chair users).
Sarah was so kind and quick in communicating, she helped us every step of the way (from securing the space to vendors to floor-plans). We can't recommend the Denver Botanic Gardens enough!

We had our wedding in the Woodland Mosaic space at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and it was absolutely magical. The space is surrounded by lush greenery and flowers, creating a naturally beautiful and intimate setting for our celebration.
A special thank-you to Kyle, who was so helpful throughout the process. He answered all our questions promptly and provided great suggestions for our wedding.
If you’re looking for a stunning venue with excellent support, we highly recommend the Woodland Mosaic at the Denver Botanic Gardens.

We're so glad we chose the Denver Botanic Gardens as our wedding venue. We booked the Annuals Garden for the ceremony and the Orangery and Marnie's Pavilion for our reception. All three areas were absolutely stunning in the spring and our venue contact helped us select a perfect day a year out from our initial walkthrough with the tulips in bloom as a backdrop. We had high hopes for the venue after our walkthrough but the entire experience truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Kyle did a terrific job from planning to execution in making sure everything went off perfectly. Prior to the day Kyle made sure we always had all of our questions answered and was extremely timely with all inquiries and worked closely with our caterer (Heirloom Catering, who make an amazing team with DBG) and other vendors to minimize our planning stress. We opted to not hire a wedding planner and we couldn’t have had things go as smoothly as they ended up if it wasn’t for the attention, prompt reactivity, and care that Kyle provided!
Most of our 100 guests came from out of state and it was very special to be able to share our favorite place in the city with them. We would recommend DBG, Kyle, and the whole DBG team in a heartbeat!

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience working with the Denver Botanic Gardens for hosting my wedding. I think I ended up speaking with half the events office as my original venue contact left before our event date, and everyone was professional, helpful, and informative.
We did get a new venue contact assigned before our wedding (we were only in limbo a couple of weeks while our new contact was being trained) and we found Beth to be incredibly helpful with all of our last minute questions and concerns. She was great at working with all of our vendors and answered questions and got us our invoices timely.
It is primarily an outdoor space, so we did end up spending more than we originally thought we would for a heater and some umbrellas that we didn’t end up needing. That would be my one note for couples looking at using the gardens as a wedding venue, make sure you ask about back up spaces and weather accommodations and budget accordingly. Ultimately, we had such an amazing day and Beth and the entire Denver Botanic Gardens staff helped make it a reality.

it was absolutely stunning—like a dream come true! The venue itself is breathtaking and made for a beautiful backdrop to our special day.
However, there are a few things future couples should be aware of. The venue is strict about their contracts at signing and does not allow for much flexibility. Additionally, securing a rain or high-heat backup space (important for summer weddings) is not included in the base price and requires an additional fee. We also discovered several hidden costs throughout the planning process. Beyond tables and chairs, no rentals are included, so expect to budget for additional items. Moreover, the venue requires the use of their AV services, which adds another expense. As we went, we found a few other hidden costs that added up.
Throughout the planning process, we faced challenges with staff turnover and inconsistent communication. There were times when it was difficult to get timely responses, and we often found ourselves working with someone new. We also had to advocate strongly to ensure the terms of our contract were upheld, particularly when requesting an extension for setup time. Ultimately, we worked our way up the chain to a fantastic upper manager who resolved our concerns, but it took A LOT of persistence to get there.
That said, the day of the wedding was flawless. Everything went smoothly, and the staff on-site did a wonderful job executing the event.
Overall, while the venue is gorgeous and delivered on the day of, we recommend couples go in prepared to stay organized, advocate for themselves, and budget for any additional needs like weather contingencies, rentals, and required services.

The Botanic Gardens had been our dream wedding venue for 5 years, and Kindra and everyone at DBG made it come to life! The communication, timeliness, and professionalism of the team made us feel comforted through the whole process, and both of our walkthroughs were incredibly helpful. We booked the Annuals Garden and Pavilion, which was so lovely and picturesque for us and our 80 guests at the beginning of October. The space is visible to the public on one side, but after the event we realized that neither of us thought about that and didn't notice anyone stopping or gawking. The whole day went incredibly smoothly between setting up, photos, catering (we used Serendipity who are excellent and know the Gardens well), our ceremony, and breakdown. We were surprised at how reasonably priced everything was, and ended up right at our budget. We have already recommended the Botanic Gardens to other friends to consider for their wedding or hosting work events.

Kindra and everyone at the Gardens was so wonderful! She helped us with any and all questions we had, got us measurements of the space, and helped make our day amazing. The botanic garden is the perfect place to have a wedding! The Solarium is tucked away and feels so private and romantic. Guests were able to walk around before the wedding and during cocktail hour to enjoy all the beautiful spaces. They provided us with a getting ready room as well, which was a great space to sit down and have a moment before the ceremony.

We worked with Sarah Dickens to plan our wedding at the gardens. She and the rest of the team did such a phenomenal job helping us out throughout the process from initial booking to vendor contacts to last minute details. We really appreciated how much effort they put into helping make our wedding everything we wanted it to be.
As for the space itself, you really cannot ask for a more beautiful location

We are so happy that we chose the Gardens for our wedding. Most of our guests had never visited before and they were just enthralled by the grounds, and the Woodland Mosaic was the perfect venue for our ceremony. Our caterer Serendipity worked seamlessly with the Gardens staff, and for what it's worth, it was very, very cool to see the gardens transform after sunset! We have nothing but gratitude to the Gardens; from planning the event to the ceremony itself, it was quite literally a perfect day.

The Annuals Garden worked beautifully for our spring wedding! The tulips were blooming in early May. We did ceremony and reception in one place and it was pretty affordable and the logistics worked out great. Guests being able to park their cars overnight was great from a safety and logistics perspective. The amplified sound restriction wasn’t a big deal - we just had an acoustic musician for most of it and then shuttled to an afterparty location.

My husband and I have been visiting the Botanic Gardens for years and it was the only venue we wanted for our wedding day. The wedding day was everything we had hoped for and many of our guests commented afterward how beautiful it was.
We also knew ahead of time that we wanted an intimate wedding and the Woodland Mosaic and Solarium as our location. The weather was fairly warm on our date but our guests didn't feel it because the venue has lots of shade with the solarium and trees. It also felt like a more secluded space, which is something that we wanted. Our wedding date was a very popular Saturday in June, and I believe 5 other weddings were taking place at the same time! Because our location felt so private, we hardly noticed. The only exception being the "golden hour" for photography, where we were taking photos in the Japanese garden and carefully maneuvering around other couples also taking photos. If you want to be the only bride in sight, keep this in mind. We didn't care though.
Because we had such a small wedding (~40 people), we chose not to have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. I would recommend one for this venue if you have a larger group or if you don't have a lot of helping hands. We had a lot of help from our families on the day of the event - helping set up things like the gifts/card table and brining in liquor in coolers. We also carried out a lot of items ourselves at the end of the night. This isn't a complaint from our end, as we expected to do some of the coordination ourselves. Just keep in mind that if you don't want to have to do anything on your wedding day, be sure to hire someone for that role.
Emily was great at coordinating from the Botanic Gardens side. She gave us helpful information when needed, responded quickly, and we also met her about a month in advance to walk through the site, going over details on things like chairs and tables. In addition, you get an hour walkthrough during the day before your event. On the day of, I booked a touch-up room (included in the price).
They have a limited catering list and we were happy to use Serendipity Catering for our food, bartenders, service staff, desserts and floral, which made coordinating everything a lot easier! I highly recommend working with Brie and Raven. Another perk of booking this venue is that you can bring in your own alcohol, which can save money. Negatively, it was a bit of work for our families to haul all of this in and out while in formalwear.
Depending on which space you book, you are also only able to have acoustic music. We wanted (and hired) a string quartet, so this worked for us. However, if you want to dance the night away with a DJ, you would need to book elsewhere for the reception or book their indoor ballroom.
The best surprise for us was a free couples membership for a year to the Botanic Gardens. We are so excited to have the opportunity to spend more time here, enjoying their many event offerings throughout the year. We can't wait to return year after year!

We had a luxury micro-wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens using the Romantic Gardens for our ceremony location and the Solarium/Woodland Mosaic for the reception. I cannot imagine having my wedding anywhere else after my experience here!

I recently had a wedding here and it was amazing! The gardens are such a beautiful venue and everything was great. We booked a year in advance and there was definitely transition in our point person. However, Sarah is the best person to work with ever. She was easy to communicate with and knew what she was doing. She was also available throughout the day and was asking if we needed anything throughout the day. I had a lot of fun and appreciated everything that was done with the staff!
I think this is a great venue for brides and grooms who are more flexible and less particular about things that they strictly want (e.g. Music, lights, alcohol, etc)

The venue itself is gorgeous! We got married in the romantic gardens and the scenery is absolutely beautiful! The photos we got around the venue were also stunning! Our guests enjoyed being able to walk around the gardens both before and after the ceremony.
The reason we are giving them only 3 out of 5 stars is because of their staff and day of experience. Not a great experience at all! In conversations prior to the wedding, our venue contact could not keep things straight. There would be multiple times in which we would have to repeat ourselves because there would be no attention to detail. For example, she asked me several times who our caterer was and I had to repeat that we were only booked for a ceremony. Then, on the day of the wedding, they definitely make you feel like you are just another wedding. It definitely felt like wedding-factory vibes. We had the space reserved from 11am - 2pm and the staff interrupted our photos at 1pm to tell us the next bride arrived early and that they needed us to move so they could start rearranging the chairs. They could not comprehend that we had the space dedicated to us until 2pm and that it was extremely inappropriate to even mention another bride to me on my wedding day.

Our wedding ceremony (10/1/23) and cocktail hour in the Annuals Garden and Pavilion was absolutely beautiful. The folks we worked with at DBG (Courtney and Kindra) were kind and communicative all the way through. We feel so lucky to have been able to tie the knot at one of our favorite places! We were a bit concerned at first about having to use DBG's preferred vendors, but Soundmaster Entertainment and Serendipity catering were both lovely to work with as well. We decided to have our reception nearby at the Space Annex due to DBG's sound policies meaning we wouldn't be able to keep doors open during dinner and dancing but were so happy to hold the ceremony at the gardens and to give our guests time to explore the beautiful grounds. One small note if you decide on the Annuals Gardens and Pavilion space (as might be clear in the photo) four guests seated on each side made the aisle a liiiiiittle too narrow to walk down comfortably (it made us laugh so it worked out just fine).

I am absolutely thrilled for renting the botanical garden for our wedding. We had romantic, welcome garden and marnies pavilion. Everything was so lovely! We also choose this place as a non profit and can very easily return to the scene of the crime :)

We had such a great experience having our wedding at the gardens in August! We had our ceremony at the Romantic Garden, cocktail hour and dinner at the Orangery, and dessert and dancing in Marnie's Pavilion. Throughout the planning process, the staff were always easy to contact and quick to answer our questions. There was also a seamless transition between our first contact at the venue and Kindra, who was so awesome to work with during the last few months of planning. I have loved being able to tell people that I got married here and would absolutely recommend any area of the gardens for a wedding or other type of event.

We had our wedding night 1 at the gardens in the annual pavilions. The gardens are absolutely beautiful. The entire staff was a pleasure to work with, something that we were worried about especially as we were hosting a non- traditional wedding event. Kindra from the botanical gardens was easy to work with and made sure that we were happy as well. We had a wonderful time with our guests, but the complete stand out was the service and vegetarian food from Rocky Mountain Catering. They were so attentive to our guests and accommodating. We had multiple allergies and cultural diets and RMC did everything they could to make sure our guests were happy.

We host our daughter's wedding at Denver Botanic Gardens in late February and everything was beautiful. We worked with Andrew from the inquiry through the 30-day walk though, he was wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The day of we worked with Macey who was present ALL day long for us answering questions, running errands, etc. Willing to help with literally anything asked of her. Our ceremony at the Woodland Mosaic and Solarium at the Botanic gardens was more than we could’ve imagined. They set up and tore down the space for us and the location was so beautiful on its own, we didn’t need any decorations so the day was very low stress. There was a room for the girls to get ready in on site which was very convenient. The lighting in our photos from the solarium is incredible! Highly recommend this venue.

I thought the Gardens would be too expensive and "that's where rich people get married, what a fantasy" but once we dug in, there are so many different spaces and size offerings that we were able to make it happen and it was incredible. Can't recommend enough. We chose September and the weather was perfect. Since the location is so scenic already, we spent almost nothing on decorations and just used the flowers from the wedding party as decorations at the reception (held elsewhere). It looked great, saved us lots of money, and was practically stress-free. The team was easy to work with and made me feel very seen. Again, can't recommend enough.

Venue is great, but the staff in place is not. I would say 8/10 that we emailed our point of contact we got an out-of-office reply with the suggestion to call the main line - who seldom picked up and never answered a single voicemail. It took up to a week to get a reply when we needed to sign our contract and pay our final bill. I understand being short-staffed, but then the Gardens needs to figure something out so that they can be contacted - especially if they can't reply promptly to you simply trying to pay them.
Otherwise, the venue was a dream. Gorgeous and well-sutied for weddings.

We were looking to have a small outdoor wedding, and were looking at all the possibilities Colorado has to offer, and frankly there are a lot. The botanic gardens appealed to us for a lot of reasons. There are clear and clean paths to and from the ceremony point so people with disabilities were easily able to attend, you don't need to bring in a florest because nothing could compete with the gardens themselves, and we wanted a small gathering that wasn't overwhelmed by the size of the venue. The botanic gardens has several options on where to hold the event so you can pick by size. We love the water gardens and that accommodates 30 people, so it was perfect. We also only wanted to do the ceremony there with the reception at a nearby restaurant, and the gardens had plenty of options on how long the ceremony could be and price breaks to reflect that. On the day they had a room for the bride to set up and get ready in, chairs and a table for our unity candle was provided, and signs pointing out guests where to go. Everything went prefectly, and afterwards we were able to take wedding pictures throughout the gardens, which all turned out lovely. This venue was top notch, A+, 10/10, and I would recommend it to everyone

Our wedding venue was absolutely gorgeous, however, the logistics and sound was a nightmare. Hire your own wedding planner to get things done is my best suggestion! The weekend of our wedding we were finally responded to by their preferred AV vendor, that he wasn't available. We had been led to believe in the months leading up to our big day that sound was not an issue and they could do it internally, if worst came to worst. Well.. worst did come to worst. It sounded terrible and cracked the entire time I walked down the isle. I would have 100% preferred to go without any sound as it literally tainted the entire ceremony for us. When I called to discuss this I was told that it was our Aux cord that was the issue LOL...We payed $350, on top of everything else, and they can't provide an Aux cord.. or at least test a song or two to make sure it's working? Even if it was the Aux cord.. this should have been mentioned wayy before the day of our wedding. I was also told after our wedding that sound is typically booked 6 months in advance! Again... this was never made to be a point of contention to us prior to booking. Biggest takeaway is that they do not care if things go according to plan, or are up to your standards, the day of your wedding. The staff is really only there to book and bill your wedding. Hire a Wedding Coordinator to make sure things like this don't happen to you and that you have an advocate on your side!

We rented out 3 locations for our wedding day; Romantic Gardens for the Ceremony, Annuals Gardens for the Dinner, and Marnie’s Pavilion for Dancing. All of these spaces looked gorgeous for our June wedding. If booking, I’d take note of the specific sound policies that limit the plans around the reception and playing music for dancing.
Additionally, while everything worked out in the end, it was very challenging to stay in contact with their event coordinator who would take nearly a week to respond to each e-mail. I will add that her job couldn’t have been easy with all the rescheduling during the pandemic, but it added a significant amount of stress being out of contact as we waited for answers regarding guest count limitations, mask guidance, and food serving policies, which were in constant flux the week before the wedding. The week of the wedding, I was asked to provide a list of all my guests and their vaccination status. Not only was this a challenging task to stack onto the week of wedding preps, but it was also extremely awkward.

We had the most beautiful, dreamy, etherial wedding in the Woodland Mosaic Solarium at the Denver Botanic Gardens. It felt so romantic and peaceful and perfect for our 40 person wedding. Danae was so great with helping us with details and worked with our vendors. This was the absolute wedding of my dreams and wouldn't change a thing. Everyone loved having cocktail hour there and bring able to walk around the grounds. We got the most beautiful photos around the grounds. The Botanic Gardens were perfect for our wedding! Thomas, the event manager, was so easy to work & communicate with. Even with some location shifts due to covid, everything was seamless and wonderful!

We hosted our wedding here in mid May 2021, and everything about our event was above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Our venue coordinator, Thomas was really accommodating and extremely thorough. It made the whole experience less stressful and the flexibility they showed when rain showed up was a lifesaver. Definitely would recommend.

The Denver Botanic Gardens was the ideal venue for our wedding. The combination of the beautiful scenery and the prompt and supportive staff made our special day flawless.
Our wedding was only a couple of days after the early freeze in September which could have very easily wiped out the flowers prior to our wedding. However, the grounds keepers and gardeners were able to maintain the liveliness of the gardens.
Through the planning process, Danae was nothing short of amazing. She was timely, flexible, and easy to work with, always ensuring that our needs were met and everything was squared away.
The audio was supported by the Botanic Gardens and all the music, microphones and timing were prepared and operated as planned.
I can only highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect place to celebrate a marriage.

The Gardens have a very special personal meaning to my husband and I, so we were very excited to host our wedding here in May 2020. COVID made travel impossible for many of our guests at the time, but the Gardens staff and especially our wonderful venue manager Danae were extremely flexible and helpful with making accommodations as the date changed and situation evolved. We were upgraded for free to a larger (even more gorgeous) venue to allow for social distancing with our 40 guests, and the Gardens staff was exceptionally helpful, and professional for the whole process. This is not an inexpensive place to host your big day, but it's worth it for the care you will receive and to have one of the most beautiful wedding days Colorado can offer!
A word of caution - the Gardens limits which preferred vendors you can use for catering/bartending due to the sensitive environments in the park, so be prepared to self-cater (which we did), pay an extra fee to use a non-preferred caterer, or pay top dollar for one of the preferred vendors!

Our wedding in the Romantic Gardens was stunningly beautiful! Our guests raved about the setting. The pictures and video are incredible. We had our reception in the West Terrace, keeping everything outside during COVID. The gardens have lots of rules so be aware and read the contract. It will add some expense to your wedding but it will be unique and special. Guests get all day access to the gardens to several of them enjoyed that. The staff at the gardens are easy to work with and very helpful during a challenging year.
