Our wedding and reception at the Webster Center space within the Desert Botanical Gardens was an absolute dream come true. With the majority of our guests traveling from out of state, choosing this venue for our Arizona wedding was a decision we will never regret. The transformation of the space on our wedding day exceeded all expectations and was even more beautiful than I had envisioned.
The Desert Botanical Gardens provided a picturesque backdrop that perfectly captured the essence of Arizona's natural beauty. It was truly the ideal setting to showcase the beauty of the desert and create lasting memories.
Also, the prickly pear margaritas were an instant hit among our guests!
Thank you, Desert Botanical Gardens, for making our wedding a truly unforgettable experience that exceeded our expectations in every way.
The entire event team at Desert Botanical Garden is top notch! Abby, my event coordinator, was amazing from the start. Her communication and organization really helped me feel at ease throughout the entire planning process. My wedding ceremony was held at the amphitheater and it turned out flawless (even with it being 95 degrees out). The desert scenery was a stunning setting to celebrate my love and the pictures were absolutely gorgeous! I was very pleased with the beverage service that was provided by DBG as well. Everything fell into place like magic, it was the perfect day!
We absolutely loved the DBG for our wedding. Katelyn and Abby were amazing to work with and answered all of my (many many) questions and had great suggestions for vendors, number of heaters we should rent and table arrangement. We were able to visit as many times as needed during the planning process and had a final walkthrough the week before.
Any questions?
We booked our ceremony for the DBG in October 2024, using the Dorrance Center, with about 100 guests, and it was beautiful! We picked this place for ceremony ONLY, because as a lot of people mention, the DBG provides ONLY the venue space, and literally nothing else. It is a little on the expensive side for just ceremony as you pay the full price, but we wanted a beautiful space for our ceremony and more of a party vibe for our reception. Our DBG coordinator was very sweet and responsive leading up to the day, but day of you are kind of on your own, so it was nice to have a wedding coordinator.
We knew right away that the gardens were the perfect place for our Halloween Masquerade wedding. We initially checked them out with the intention of getting the Steele Herb Garden but fell in love with the Amphitheater instead. We could not have hoped for a more magical venue! Our wedding ceremony was after sunset and the gardens were lit up beautifully with various string lights. We hired a photographer with a lot of experience in catching moody low lighting so I cannot wait to see the results. I don't think we could have found a venue that would feel as magical as it did.
The staff and coordinators at the gardens were helpful and informative every step of the way. As our plans changed they were more than happy to accommodate and work with us as needed. The whole wedding process was as painless as could be, which means a lot when you're doing a lot of the planning yourself. Not once did I feel that the process was too much.
Be aware that the bridal suite is a repurposed room without many of the trappings you would find in designated bridal suites, so you may be limited in what getting ready shots will be available to you. But that is such a small thing in the grand scheme of things. The venue itself was very worth it, the mood and ambiance is something I don't think we could have possibly gotten anywhere else. A small side note but something we appreciated, the money earned from weddings goes to conservation efforts, which were very much about. Especially in a world of a million golf course weddings. If you're getting married in Phoenix I cannot recommend the Desert Botanical Gardens enough.
My beautiful bride and I got married at the Desert Botanical Garden in the Webster Center and had the best experience. The ambiance was gorgeous for our sunset ceremony and all of the preferred vendors did an amazing job. We couldn't have asked for a better supportive staff. The Garden did a great job accommodating us and is very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
Our wedding was in the most beautiful location! The staff was so easy to work with and they were checking on things throughout the day which made us feel so taken care of! Excellent choice!
What's everyone's worst night mare for their wedding? Having your venue cancel on you less than 10 hours before your big moment. That's what Desert Botanical did to my wife and I the night before our wedding day.
We booked them as our venue about 11 months in advance. Every check in we did was done with a different "Wedding Coordinator," the biggest shock is when they called to tell us that weather was going to be an issue on our wedding day, and had no back up plan for us. Our coordinator kept saying normally in this situation we would move you indoors, or somewhere else, but we can't do that this time. Instead of working with us, she cancelled on us, leaving my wife and I with 10 hours to figure out how we were going to hold our wedding. They also didn't provide a full refund for any of this inconvenience, instead offering free tickets if we wanted to stage wedding pictures on site. They made what should have been one of the best times of our lives a living nightmare and it has tainted my wife's and I's view of them.
This venue is amazing! Just the right amount of communication and a beautiful location!
You can not find a more beautiful venue in Arizona than the Desert Botanical Garden!! I recently just had my DREAM wedding there and I would recommend this venue to any and everyone!! All the planning and communication went super smooth! It was a colder than normal November day and they were able to adjust on the fly with getting us heaters for the guests. The Bar was a HUGE hit, obviously! Marianne (The Beverage Manager) was a joy to work with and she made sure I had exactly what I wanted behind the bar. The bartenders were also incredible! 10/10 would recommend the Desert Botanical Garden if you are wanting a Dream Desert Wedding!
We had our wedding in Boppart Courtyard at the Dorrance Center. It was a very spacious, private, and a beautiful area to have our ceremony. The communication we have had with the representatives of the Desert Botanical Garden was prompt. We were happy to work with Samantha, the venue coordinator. She made the rehearsal go smoothly and the day of the wedding go effortlessly. It was evident she had experience with coordinating weddings. All of our guests had free admission to the garden the day of the wedding which was a nice inclusion. The Desert Botanical Gardens was a wonderful place to hold our wedding.
We had our wedding at Desert Botanical Garden last month and it ended up being more beautiful than I imagined it would be. We had our wedding at the Ullman Terrace and we received many compliments on what a beautiful setting it was. Since we got married in September, we were worried about the heat and while it was pretty warm for our pre-ceremony photos and set up, fortunately by the time of the ceremony, the terrace area was almost fully shaded and we happened to get lucky with nice weather after the sun went down (well, nice for Phoenix :)).
We worked with 4 different coordinators from the first inquiry to our wedding day (Patrick, Ali, Amanda and Samantha)
and there wasn't always a clear transition so we weren't always sure who to contact. Even though we worked with a few different people, each of them seemed very capable to handle and answer any questions we had. All of them were very kind and responsive to our emails. The staff on the day of was also very easy to work with. We also worked with Marianne for the bar set up and she was also responsive and easy to work with.
We are really so glad we went with DBG for our wedding day and would do it over again in a heartbeat!
We had an absolutely amazing experience with Desert Botanical Gardens. Everything from inquiring, booking, and pre-wedding communication was excellent! Even though we had a wedding planner to direct everyone, their day-of staff was there and ready to help with whatever was needed. We hosted our wedding in the Webster Center and it was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our smaller size wedding. We got some sneak peek photos back from our photographer and are just completely awestruck with how they turned out and the gorgeousness of the gardens. Highly, highly recommend!
The Desert Botanical Garden is an amazing location for a wedding. We've always loved it, so choosing it for our wedding venue made perfect sense! We got married in the Ullman Terrace and it was beautiful. The staff was very helpful throughout the process and they had great beverage options.
Absolutely beautiful setting to get married in. DBG is quick to respond to all emails and were very helpful with the planning process. Staff went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. Our wedding here was better than anything I could have imagined; like a desert fairytale.
We were engaged at the Desert Botanical Garden (DBG), so it was our dream to be married there as well. With some luck and good timing on our planner’s behalf (Your Jubilee), we were able to have our wedding in the Steele Herb Garden. Our DBG coordinator was Amanda and she was wonderful to work with. Very friendly and accommodating throughout the process, she went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful night. We were lucky enough to be there during the Chihuly exhibit, which added wonderfully to the overall beauty of the night. My wife is also allergic to most kinds of alcohol, with the exception of mead which the bar was able to stock specifically for her.
The garden was absolutely beautiful. Every one was prompt in their responses and Amanda was wonderful to work with. 10/10 would recommend!
Binn’s Wildflower Pavilion was the perfect venue for our wedding and the team at the Desert Botanical Gardens was phenomenal. Amanda especially was a delight to work with and took care of every detail. I would recommend them to anyone.
We had our wedding at the Binns Wildflower Pavilion in early March. The pavilion was excellent for our event. From the early stages of planning all the way to the day of the wedding the staff were very responsive to our questions. Their enthusiasm and positive attitude at every step of the way was instrumental to the success of our wedding.
I fell in love with the Desert Botanical Gardens and just knew we had to have our wedding here. It’s hard finding an outdoor venue in AZ but this met and exceeded every expectation! It was lovely, the coordinator Amanda and her team were very communicative and made it super easy. 10/10 recommend for a lovely outdoor Arizona venue.
What a beautiful outdoor venue highlighting the desert's natural beauty! We booked the ampitheather and wildflower pavilion for our wedding last weekend, and the coordination team (Ali & Amanda) went above and beyond to make our wedding a magical night. Their approved vendor list helped us find a great caterer (Fresh From the Kitchen), and the garden staff even helped us take centerpieces & gifts to our car at the end of the night. Highly recommend if you're looking for an outdoor wedding venue.
All of their venues are beautiful, we chose the Webster Center and the ceremony backdrop was unbelievable.
Amanda was our primary point of contact and she was a pleasure to work with, she was responsive and accomodating.
We were fortunate enough to also get to experience the Chihuly Exhibit on display during our wedding which really made for some wonderful photos.
Future brides just be aware that there is a list of caterers that you will need to choose from, this was mandatory so you are a bit limited in this respect.
The other vendors on their preferred list are not mandatory to choose from, but they do like to meet with vendors off the list.
They accomdated our request for a beer burro without any problems, but did have to meet with that vendor ahead of time.
Overall we loved the venue and would recommend it to anyone.
Loved our venue! Beautiful space, we hardly had to decorate! Everyone was so nice and prompt to answer my questions. They are flexible to last minute changes. You're only paying for the actual space, no vendors are included at all. Instead, they had a list of verified vendors that you can choose to be there. If you bring in other vendors, they have to be approved by the gardens. Because of this, we exceeded our budget but it was worth it. Lastly, if you want a bar, you have to use their staff, which were awesome! Overall, great venue for any occasion. We did it all in 3 months and it was perfect!
We had our wedding at the amphitheater and wildflower pavilion and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue! Everything was beautiful. Ali and her team were very professional and great to work with! We had so many compliments from our guests!
This is a beautiful venue and place to have your ceremony and reception. If you’re looking for and outdoor wedding, check them out. They are very responsive and helpful, offering suggestions at various planning stages. Sunset weddings in Arizona are pretty, but at the Desert Botanical Garden they are gorgeous and magical!
We had the most amazing wedding here. It was summer and HOT - but we had our wedding indoors and it was fantastic.
We had an absolutely perfect wedding at the Amphitheater this spring - as soon as I got in touch with Patrick I knew we were in good hands. He was so kind, responsive to every question we had throughout the process, very flexible with our schedules since we live out of state, and such a genuine pleasure to work with. The venue was gorgeous and our pictures came out better than I could have imagined. I was expecting wedding planning to be really stressful, but we hardly had to stress about any details at all throughout the whole process, and without a doubt, we have Patrick to thank for that. I'm so grateful for the experience we had there - it was the first time to the Garden for most of our guests who came from out of town, and they were just as in love as we were with the warm and inviting atmosphere of the place. I truly can't recommend it enough!
I got married June 5th at the gardens and it was an absolute dream! We used the amphitheater as our ceremony space and hosted a dinner at Gertrudes within the gardens.
Since,I was planning a wedding from New Mexico Patrick was extremely helpful in helping me with all the small details and getting me in contact with Gertrude’s to have the perfect meal.
I loved everything about our wedding and I gladly would get married in 100° weather again☺️

Brooklynn it was great working with and Garrett. I am happy that you were able to celebrate your love for each other with family and friends. Thank you for the kind words about your experience.
We were married at the Desert Botanical Garden in the Steele Herb Garden venue space which is completely outdoors. This venue space was perfect for our wedding of 40 people. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all within the venue space. Patrick Hanson was our venue planner for us from start to finish. He was a true pleasure to work with and went above and beyond for us. He made planning a wedding during COVID completely manageable and assured me that we would be able to have our perfect day regardless of what COVID brought. Patrick is professional, patient, and has such a fun personality. You can truly tell he loves his job and is gifted at what he does. Our wedding day went smoothly, there wasn't a single issue that I knew of and Patrick took care of coordinating all of our other vendors with ease. The garden grounds were perfect, our photos turned out beautifully, and our guests raved about how gorgeous everything was. Our wedding was a dream come true & we wish we could relive our wedding day all over again!

Katie and Mark - Thank you for having your special day at DBG. It was an honor to work with you both. I am happy to hear we met your needs. Wish you both all the best. Patrick
All I can say is wow! Our wedding was the most beautiful night and everything that we could have hoped for. Patrick is a true gem, without him our wedding wouldn't have been what it was. He was an absolute pleasure to work with, especially during a pandemic when we thought none of this would be possible. Not only does the Desert Botanical Gardens deserve 5 stars as a venue but he does too. It was a night we will never forget and we cannot thank him enough for all he did for us.

Becca, you are too kind. I am so happy that you and Josh had a wonderful time.
Everyone was RAVING about how gorgeous the entire setting was, everything was perfect and truly a magical night. Patrick was AMAZING and we can't thank him enough for all of the work he put into our wedding, truly a fairy tale!

Corinne - I am happy that we were able to make your night 'magical'. Wish you both all the best.
Patrick and Ali were so helpful through the entire process. The amphitheater was stunning and being able to use the entire garden for our pictures was amazing!

Chris! Congratulations. Ali and I are happy everything worked out.
Patrick, Marianne, Katelyn and the staff helped us in more ways than I can count to make our remotely-planned March 2019 wedding a success. I can't thank them enough, and the venue was even more beautiful than I imagined!

Thank you Will for your kind words. We are all so happy that everyone had a great time. - All my best, Patrick
I am SO happy we chose the DBG for our wedding venue! We were married in mid-August, and even though it was fairly toasty, our photos were absolutely breathtaking! The beauty of the gardens makes for a stunning and magical wedding day experience. The indoor reception hall was also quite lovely, and we couldn't have been happier. Besides the beauty of the gardens, we had a great experience working with Patrick! He was so prompt with communication, and helped us out so much, especially when we had to postpone our wedding. I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place to get married in Phoenix, and the prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend!!

Lorraine and Tim - I wish you both all the joy and happiness the world can offer you both. It was such a pleasure working with you both.
Excellent venue from beginning to end. Patrick did a great job of handling every little detail. Would recommend to anyone!

Rose and David - you are both too sweet. It was an honor to host your wedding celebration.
The gardens are extremely well-maintained and make for a picture-perfect wedding backdrop. From the beginning, the team at DBG was responsive. They made their policies very clear and easy to follow.
When the COVID-19 outbreak ruined our plans for our April 5th wedding, the team at DBG was quick to respond and make things right!
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor venue and the peace of mind of a wonderful event team.
Response from the Vendor on 03/22/2020
Robyn, Thank you. We hope you and Marc stay safe. We wish you love, joy, and happiness.
Choosing the Garden for our wedding venue was the absolute perfect choice! The staff were absolutely amazing, from fast communication online, to friendly service in person. They knew exactly what to do and how to direct us to ensure our day was a success - which it was! Our guests were completely blown away by the beauty of the Garden and it was the perfect backdrop for our Arizona succulents & cactus themed wedding. There are so many gorgeous venue options within the Garden to fit your taste and budget, and many more breathtaking photo spots. "Enchanting" was the word our guests kept using and I completely agree. The whole day felt like a fairytale!
Response from the Vendor on 03/22/2020
Thank you Allie. Wish you both all the best.
We held our wedding at the Webster Center at DBG, with our ceremony/reception on the Ullman Terrace and our cocktail hour on Eliot Patio. It is truly a stunning venue space and easy to adapt to your wedding vision. Katelyn and Patrick, and the entire DBG team, were so professional and easy to work with. With so many of our friends and family traveling to Arizona for our wedding, it was really special to show them a unique desert space. We cannot recommend it highly enough!
Response from the Vendor on 03/22/2020
You're the best Laura. Wishing you and Ian all the best!
We have always loved the DBG, so when we got engaged we decided to explore having our wedding there and it was the best decision we could have made. Patrick was wonderful to work with, Marianne and her staff were all extremely helpful and professional, and provided a lot of good options for beverage service depending on our budget. Our wedding turned out better than we could have imagined. The garden has so much natural beauty that we were able to reduce costs for things like flowers/decor. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a place in the valley to get married to check out the garden. The staff was all very responsive and attentive to our needs.

Evan, you are too sweet. LOVE WINS!
The DBG was an excellent venue for our wedding! Patrick was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, addressing all of our questions and concerns promptly. They work with their vendors closely and often, so the work seamlessly together.
Most of our guests were from out of town, so they all loved the desert scenery and took advantage of the gardens during their visit.

Karissa - Thank you. You and Elliot are too sweet.
We just had the most beautiful and amazing wedding at the Desert Botanical Gardens. Truly a fairytale dream. The gardens are beyond incredible. All the plants, cactuses, and succulents created a perfect desert oasis. The staff went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. Patrick and Katelyn were so wonderful to work with. They responding to all our questions and concerns quickly and efficiently, and it shows how much they care about the gardens and about customer service. Best day ever! Thank you Desert Botanical Gardens for everything!
The Desert Botanical Garden staff was extremely responsive from the beginning of planning all the way through to the day of our event. Their expertise in working with our caterer really helped tie everything together and create the kind of event that wowed our guests. From the beauty of the Binns Wildflower Pavillion to the drink service and the food we served. It was more perfect than we could have ever hoped for and Katelyn helped to make it flawless. Thanks DBG Team for helping us make beautiful memories with our friends and family!
We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Desert Botanical Gardens. We planned our wedding from out of state, but Katelyn and Patrick made it incredibly easy to do. They were great with communication, adjusting our needs and making changes even up until the day before our wedding. I loved that we had access to 3 different spaces in our package, which allowed us to be flexible in where we had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We loved that we have a room to relax in right before the ceremony. I would highly recommend the DBG to anyone wanting an amazing, beautiful desert wedding.
I love the Desert Botanical Garden, it is one of my favorite places in all of Phoenix, so when I got engaged, I knew there was one place I wanted to get married. Patrick and Katelyn made the venue booking process a breeze and were very helpful with all of my questions. Marianne assisted with the bar service and was fantastic. She helped us find a way to make everything work within out budget. It was truly my perfect wedding venue!
Response from the Vendor on 12/24/2019
Melinda and Matthew - Thank you for sharing your special day with Katelyn and I. The photos are AMAZING! Laura shared some of her favorites, but I have to say the peek-a-boo through the elephant is my absolute favorite. Thank you again.
Patrick and the team at Desert Botanical we're great from start to finish with helping to plan our wedding. With the way they work and communicate it's obvious they do weddings flawlessly all the time. That being said, they do not mean that your personal, special details go by the wayside, they were sure to pay close attention to the things that were important to me on my special day. This was also a destination wedding for us, and being across the county, they made it so easy to plan from a distance. We greatly appreciate all of their efforts and it was unforgettable.
The Garden was great to work with from beginning until end. Our reception and ceremony was beautiful. We were able to keep everything in one space and they worked with us so it was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend!
Response from the Vendor on 12/24/2019
Alexa and Anthony - Your wedding was so beautiful. Thank you for allowing us to be apart of it.
The staff was amazing from the initial day of inquiry to the day of the wedding. All of my questions were answered quickly! The amphitheater was beautiful. I would 100% recommend to any bride searching for something affordable and just simply put, gorgeous!
Response from the Vendor on 12/24/2019
Artemisa and Christian - it was a pleasure working with you both. I am so happy you enjoyed your wedding day. Thank you again for sharing this special day.
This is copied from my review at WeddingWire because I want to make sure as many couples as possible know how great they are!!
If you’re getting married in Phoenix... you should definitely consider the DBG. Not only do the funds from your wedding go to a great cause for conservation, the setting is beautiful and the coordinators are accommodating, flexible, and so on top of it that it’s not even funny!!! On my wedding day, during a particularly dry “rainy” season in Phoenix, I got an email from Patrick at 8am that there were potential for thunderstorms during our ceremony but not to worry, he had a backup plan! All of this before I even thought to check the weather. When I arrived to the venue (which has big open spaces for the bridal parties to get ready—separately, and beautiful areas for a first look), Patrick immediately showed me his backup plan and it was already set up, just in case! Thankfully he did that because while the rain disappeared, a sandstorm rolled in!!! We had the best wedding ever and beautiful photos— make sure you ask their advice on which photographers to use! They also have a variety of venues to fit most budgets. I honestly can’t recommend them enough. Our day was absolutely perfect!

Abby and Mike it was such a pleasure working with you both. I am so happy that you had a special day, and thank you for sharing it with us. Can't wait to see the pictures. Patrick
The Desert Botanical Garden was absolutely magical as a wedding venue. The grounds are gorgeous all the time but during the spring it takes your breath away. Our wedding was in April 2019 and I’m sure I will daydream about it forever. Patrick Hanson is one of the event coordinators there and he will have your back from start to finish! I went to him with many questions and concerns and he was always very responsive and ready to help. The team at DBG helped me to make our wedding day so special. The only negative I have is arranging the bar. You have to use the Garden to supply your drinks and the person in charge of this (not Patrick) can be very difficult to communicate with. However, when I had those issues Patrick helped me get it resolved. Overall, it was a WONDERFUL experience and I am so thankful to the Desert Botanical Garden.
We selected Dorrance Center at the Botanical Garden for our wedding for its natural beauty. What we got in addition to that were great coordinators in Katelyn and Patrick and a wedding we will remember forever. Our guests enjoyed every moment of it and many took advantage of exploring the Garden at large. I could not think of a better venue to have held our wedding at.
The Desert Botanical Garden is absolutely magical for a wedding venue. Patrick and Katelyn made our dreams come true. They both worked so hard, and communication was perfect. They both got back to us right away. They both made the day relaxing, fun, and go by smoothly. Our wedding was absolutely stunning at the garden. I recommend 10/10.
We could not have had a more delightful and beautiful wedding for our daughter than the event held at DBG. The venues were perfect for our small ceremony and reception, and Patrick was most helpful and enthusiastic at every step. Every eventuality was prepared for, including last-minute reception heaters for a cooler-than-expected March evening. We had a lovely experience and celebration! Thank you, Patrick and DBG.
Patrick was amazing, the time he spent with us and attention to detail was above and beyond what we imagined. The rehearsal and wedding went off without a hitch. He addressed all of my questions/concerns and in the end helped me execute my daughters dream garden wedding. Thank you again!
Response from the Vendor on 04/23/2019
Ali, You are so sweet. Karley and Justin's wedding was stunning. You did an amazing job with the decoration. All of your added touches really made the venue special. Thank you again for sharing this special day with us.
Getting married at the garden was one of the best decisions we have made. It was truly a magical day, thanks to the professionalism and capability of the garden staff. I could not have asked for a better team. Everyone was so quick to provide assistance. You will not be sorry booking with the Desert Botanical Garden.

Taliah - It was a pleasure to witness and be a part of the joy on your wedding day. The love that you and Jonathan share beams from the both of you. Patrick and Hanson
My husband and I got married at the Steel Herb Garden and I couldn't rave about it enough. It was such a beautiful venue and it didn't really need any decorations since it is such a beautiful spot. It was a nice intimate area of the gardens and you can also see Camelback Mountain from the venue. Also, my guests were able to nip out for a little bit and enjoy the light show that the garden has going on right now. Katelyn and Patrick are both the wedding event coordinators for the DGB and they are both lovely people to work with. They were super friendly and accommodating! I had a lot of people come up to me and say that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to!

Amy and Cory, it was our pleasure. Thank you for sharing your special moment with us.
We can't even describe the complete joy we felt on our wedding day at the Desert Botanical Garden! The venue was just perfect weather wise and the garden is so picturesque. I was able to get my money shot, a sunset picture with the Chihuly! Katelyn and Patrick were there at the venue to make it all run seamlessly. Our ceremony was held in the amphitheater and reception at Binns Wildflower Pavilion. Atlasta catered the event, Stevie D and Xray Vision was the wonderful band, our beautiful flowers by Fred's Flowers, Mary Sandy @marysandyphotog captured our joy in the photos. If you get a chance to get married at #DBG you won't regret it, it is worth it!

Jill it was our honor to have you and Mark here. Thank you for sharing your joyful day with us. We so happy that the evening was so magical. All the best. Patrick and Katelyn
This place was amazing. Beauful. Everything we wanted. Romantic and personal.
Everyone there was on point and had everything covered perfect.
Couldn’t be happier.

Thank you Zsuzsanna. We loved being a part of your special day. All the joy and happiness to you and Kirk. Patrick and Katelyn
Katelyn is a dream to work with. The garden is the most magical place to get married. The natural beauty requires ZERO additional decor. The staff at the garden make every part of the process easy, fun and special. The grounds are a photographers dream come true with lighting at sunset that will proudly be displayed in your photos for years to come. The fact that our out of town guests got to come to such a beautiful location and fully experience what Arizona has to offer was a complete joy. Both the bride and groom got a room to themselves for their bridal party to sit in prior to the ceremony which made it easy to store things and gather oneself before such a monumental moment. Guests of the garden were more than polite getting out of the way for photos etc. Love and support was felt every step of the way the day of. I can also share that the price for everything we got was TOTALLY worth it and well in line with our budget. They do have options for every budget which is refreshing compared to other venues in and around this area. A must add to your list of locations to check out as you consider where to say your "I do's".

Beautiful venue! Wonderful staff and very accommodating. Only negative was some decorations that were accidentally left were thrown out, but it was an excellent place with a beautiful Herb Garfen for cocktail our and wildflower garden for the reception.

Adam, I am so happy that everyone had such a great night at Jessica and Dustin's wedding. It was such a pleasure to be a part of their amazing night.

The staff was very prompt and easy to work with. A sudden wind storm swept in and Patrick helped ensure that heat lamps were brought out right away, which saved the day! At the final walkthrough, the staff suggested that we use luminaries to light a path to the bathroom which was a great idea. The venue is beautiful and was perfect for our southwestern wedding. I would recommend to anyone.

The Desert Botanical Gardens was a beautiful place to hold our cactus themed wedding/ceremony! The staff was very friendly and helpful when planing months ahead. They answered all my questions and ran the rehearsal smoothly. The big day was more magical than I ever imagined! Thank you DBG for your hospitality and stunning sourroundings!

Kristin - We are so happy your day was magical. Thank you for celebrating your special day with us.

I've always dreamed of having my wedding at a garden, so I decided to go with DBG. In the beginning things were a little rocky, since Nicole who has been mentioned in previous reviews NEVER got back to me. I did go do a self tour to see what Venue I wanted. I was put in touch with Amber who was fantastic at helping mediate the deposit for the Venue we wanted. Patrick and Katelyn then became our point of contact and I am so thankful for these two! They were very responsive and super helpful through the entire process. We ended up having to move the Reception to another area of the Garden due to an exhibit. At first, I was a little upset. The day before the Wedding, rain was in the forecast so we decided to have both the Ceremony and reception at Binns Wildflower Pav. Everything became a blessing in disguise. The day of the wedding it was raining so bad due to Hurricane Sergio. I am extremely thankful that we had the Pavilion since it was covered! The entire path to the Pavilion was flooded. Patrick really made sure we were well taken care of. He and his team went above and beyond, they got sand bags and sand to help soak up the water. The rain decided to stop a couple of hours prior to the wedding start. By that time the path was damp. I really appreciate all the help and the way everyone handled everything! If I could give DBG more than 5 stars, I would!! Thank you Patrick, you made my wedding amazing!

Kelsi and Thomas - We are so honored that you chose the Desert Botanical Garden to celebrate your love for each other. So thrilled that we were able to show you just how our Garden staff can adjust in weather changes. Our goal is to make your...
day special and beautiful no matter what the weather is.
All our love and joy.

We couldn't be happier that we chose the Desert Botanical Garden. The venue was unique and beautiful and guests loved it. The back drop made for amazing pictures. Venue staff, especially Katelyn Poulson, were always on top of things. We had record rainfall on our wedding day, but Katelyn and venue staff worked with our vendors and day of coordinator to seamlessly cope with the rain.
If you’ve been to the Desert Botanical Garden before, you already know how stunning it is. Now, if you are getting married, you can only imagine how breathtakingly wonderful it would be to have your wedding there. It is!!! We held our wedding at the Webster Center venue which consists of the amazing Ullman Terrace, the courtyard and the patio. We would not have had it any other way. The terrace will leave you and your guests in awe of the gorgeous natural setting (and the butte backdrop!!), or at least it did for us and ours. Makes for amazing photos to look back on because I promise, the day comes and goes before you know it. Equally important to location, is the people who are going to help you run the show. We cannot express how amazing Katelyn was to work with. Her and Patrick were so prompt at getting back to my crazy emails, scheduling all of our tours and walkthroughs and making themselves available to ensure we were all on the same page and comfortable. Katelyn was our official day of venue coordinator and we couldn’t have done it without her. Seriously. Her and her team are the ones that made sure everyone got down the aisle, and effortlessly, and this is huge because we had a young flower girl and two young ring bearers. She made sure my dress was fluffed and sent me down like part of the family. I later found out that our table linens were delivered late (not their fault) and she took the initiative to get with my husbands mother to see how the table decor was to be arranged and her and her team set the tables for us so our family would be free to do photos. Lifesaver. She communicated professionally and diligently with our other vendors to make it happen and for that, we are so grateful. Marianne is the beverage director and she too was a pleasure to work with too customize our bar package to our budget and taste. It was a big day and we only had one shot to do it right, and it turned out better than right- it was a dream come true. Thank you DBG and everyone who helped, we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
This staff know how to get all the details in a row for your Wedding, they think of everything, they are excited for you and no matter what try and make it the way you want! We had an effortless day, set-up and take down was on time and efficient, the coordination by the Gardens was stellar and we really loved the way the evening shaped up! Much love to DBG for making our day so special and one of a kind!
Both Patrick and Jennifer were awesome to work with. Patrick was prompt to answer text and calls (even after hours), and displayed the patience of a saint. The venue was exceptional and was truly a dream wedding come true. Thank you Patrick and Jennifer for making our special day one to remember
I can not say enough about this beautiful place and the wonderful people who work there! Ullman Terrace at the Desert Botanical Garden was stunning the day of our April wedding and Patrick and Katelyn were absolutely amazing to work with! Their response time (always less than 24 hrs) and attention to detail was second to none. From the beginning they walked us through the entire process, checking in periodically to make sure we were doing ok and on track with all of our vendors. As the big day got closer they checked in more frequently and made both of us feel very relaxed. The rehearsal was a breeze and the wedding day went on without a hitch! There was no way it would have been as smooth as it was without these two rockstars! And again, the gorgeous location, the garden in full bloom, made for an amazing day and a great place to start our next great adventure!
My ceremony was in Binns Wildflower Pavilion under the stars and twinkle lights, followed by an out-of-this-world reception on Boppart. Having dinner under the desert skies was amazing. It's so beautiful with the natural desert views and cacti. Every picture is perfect. The Desert Botanical Garden was such a special venue, that my brother is now planning his wedding there.
Our wedding at the botanical gardens was perfect and beautiful and everything we could ever want! The gardens were easy to work with and coordinated everything with our wedding planners to make the day magical! I do think this may be a harder place to get married if you don’t have wedding planners simply because they work with lists of vendors and so you need to go through the vendors and everyone to get wedding necessities like tables, chairs, etc.! Luckily they have wonderful vendors they work with and our wedding planners were familiar with them! Would get married there again if I could!
We had our wedding at DBG in March 2018 and it couldn't have been more perfect. The place itself is so beautiful and looked good in all of our photos. The on-site coordinators were super helpful with making sure we had everything we needed. They were also responsive with emails and communicating with us. We had our own day-of planner, but knowing that DBG also had people on their end being involved with the planning made everything seem to go more smoothly. We loved our venue & will go back often to visit and relive the memories.
I'm giving the Desert Botanical Garden 5 stars because our wedding day event (held in the Steele Herb Garden) was overwhelmingly beautiful and well-coordinated. I cannot say enough good things about the venue assistant, Katelyn. She was so easy to work with, communicated clearly and often, and made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The only thing that was somewhat challenging was working with Marianne (bar service coordinator). She was not very responsive (short responses to questions asked, forgetting to add agreed upon items to the contract in a timely manner, etc.). Everything ended up working out in the end though, as emails were eventually responded to/contract was updated accurately, and the day-of was absolutely perfect!
The garden was amazing to work with in everything! They were so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend to get married in the steel herb garden if you have 60 or less! Absolutely beautiful!
From the first time we contacted the garden to when we left from our wedding, our experience was enjoyable and the process was painless. The garden took care of every one of our needs and answered all of our questions. They kept us updated and never left us in the dark. We didn’t have just one person to go to; they gave us a team. I would definitely recommend the desert botanical garden to anyone looking for a beautiful, practical and memorable experience for their event!
What a beautiful place to have a wedding. We were thrilled with the ambiance and customer service.
Everything I have always dreamed of! There is nowhere else I would ever want to get married. The property is so beautiful and romantic; it makes me never want to leave. The food was spectacular! From the hors d'oeuvres, to the dinner, to the cake-it all was fabulous. Nicole was incredible to work with. She was there for me every step of the way and was always happy to answer all of my questions. I can't imagine my wedding day being any more perfect than what it was at the Desert Botanical Garden! I wish I could relive this day over and over again!
No one should have to go through the stress of a wedding venue that either isn't willing or isn't able to collaborate with you. That is what we experienced with DBG for the entire 10 months from our contract signing to the wedding day. We were effectively on our own. Thank goodness our other vendors rolled up their sleeves and filled in where DBG dropped the ball.
The day of wedding we also learned how awful it is that the Dorrance Center has no internet access, wifi or cabled, because our DJ was very limited without internet, and the social media aspect of our event was DOA.
The following email we had to send to DBG 12 days prior to the wedding probably best illustrates the support problems we had (edited for length and privacy):
Hi Nicole,
It’s really unfortunate that I have had to send so many communications to you with such forceful language as is in the subject line of this email. Since signing the contract with you for (our) wedding, every single inquiry we have had for DBG, without exception, has required us to leave multiple voice mails, emails and then even some strongly worded voice and emails. Yet again, here we are only 12 days before the wedding when one would think we would at least be on DBG’s radar, and still cannot reach any event people at DBG. I am very concerned about DBG’s ability to deliver on our contract. Thankfully, DBG is the only vendor for this wedding with which we’ve had difficulty.
You are currently in Breach of Contract. Our contract requires that we hold a walkthrough no later than 2 weeks prior to the event. That deadline was last (weekend) (We) have been leaving phone messages and sending emails to you and the DBG event staff (for a week)... DBG has not responded to any of those messages or emails...
The impact to us of the delayed walkthrough is that ... we are at risk of giving up our hair and make-up people because we do not know if we can coordinate their schedules ...dependent on whether we can use (your) dressing room(s)...Since day one DBG has verbally stated that there is a possibility of more dressing room availability if it is not otherwise booked. I would even consider paying an additional fee for more dressing room availability, but we haven’t even been able to get ahold of anyone at DBG to discuss that possibility. When DBG did not respond to our voice and emails, we were counting on the walkthrough to help get as much information as possible so we can resolve this issue, which was a minor issue but is becoming urgent because of the passing calendar. ..
Were there some folks at DBG that delighted us? Absolutely! Unfortunately, those bright spots were eclipsed by the great swathes of time where all we could hear were figurative crickets chirping.
Marianne who did the bar services was hands down the hardest person to work with- she never had the right contract, credit card, and responses were sporadic, never complete, and usually very much incorrect. My experience with the DGB event planners did not go well either- on multiple occasions, I was told one thing, but then later on would be told something else. From the beginning, I was told I had my venue on a certain date, only to find out that they had signed my date and venue to someone else, and that I had to pick a different time/venue. It only got worse from there. Beautiful venue, though.
We held our wedding reception at the Ulman Terrace at the Desert Botanical Garden on April 9, 2016 and it was the most beautiful setting we could imagine. The space requires no additional lighting, and very little flowers (we just did centerpieces for the tables) because of how naturally gorgeous it is. We worked with Nicole McCall and she was friendly, responsive, and flexible to meet with us during the limited window we were in town (we planned our wedding from across the country). We also worked with Marianne Donnan to coordinator the bar service. She was a little harder to get a hold of, but in the end she did a great job following up on every detail of our bar package and it all turned out just the way we hoped. We also were very impressed with the professionalism and courteousness of the bartenders at our reception. Overall, the we loved the venue, the staff and celebrating our wedding at the Desert Botanical Garden.
My reception was at the Dorrance Center. It was beautiful and I would not change that my wedding was here. I like that it is a non-profit so you don't have to pay taxes for the venue, and you can go to the garden for free anytime before your wedding day. It is truly a stunning venue. My guests enjoyed it. Meanwhile, the garden does absolutely nothing to help you, and the downfalls of having your wedding here are detailed below.
They do not provide chairs, tables, or assistance. My mother-in-law made a photo booth and the garden would not allow her to show up before 12:00pm on my wedding day to set up. Although I asked why 3 times in email and once over the phone, an explanation wa snot provided. They kept telling me 5:00pm receptions usually have set up begin at 3:00pm but my ceremony at my church started at 3:00pm so there was no way that would work. They did allow us to come earlier but not by much. I scheduled pictures at the garden at 1:00pm along with my bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family members. I had some guests help decorate because the "wedding coordinators" do not help decorate at all and she suggested that as a solution. Meanwhile, my mother-in-law made the photo booth and had a vision that she could not explain to someone else. I believe she showed up at 11:00am as we were told there was not an event the day before and she was unable to set it up, get ready, and be in our photos. Hence, I do not have professional photos with my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law who also helped set up; this upset me as we had people come from different states and countries and we couldn't get an actual group photo because the garden was not willing to allow my family to come earlier to set up a photo booth and a few other decorations. Nicole told us we can set up around 5:00pm the night before my wedding but we had the rehearsal dinner and she told me on that same day. Hence, it was impossible to be done.
