We held our destination wedding for 70ish guests here on new years eve, 2017. There was not a single aspect of my experience that was not superb in every possible way.
We went through Desert Willow for our ceremony, food and beverage, rentals, and day of coordination and set up. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! Every single staff member we interacted with (from managers/directors to wait and maintenance staff) were genuinely pleasant and happy to work with us on literally WHATEVER we had in mind.
Our wedding was non-traditional, did not follow a normal timeline, and I had certain very specific ways I wanted things done. Every detail that I had planned-out was handled perfectly (and even the few details I hadn’t thought of were handled expertly without fuss or putting additional stress on me). I was very budget conscious and never once felt pressured to add or upgrade anything or uncomfortable for having a firm dollar amount limit. They actually worked with me to make sure that I was getting the most cost effective options available and were flexible to adjust the final guest count (more than once) up until literally a few hours before the wedding (yeah, some of my guests weren’t very considerate of my planning efforts).
Our guests (from Texas, Washington State, New York, Georgia, and Pennsylvania) were all absolutely blown away by the landscaping and scenery as well as the décor and styling of our indoor event space. The Desert Willow crew made me look like the absolute champion at wedding planning and styling, even though they did all the work.
Want a small, intimate, and personal evening? They can do that. Want a big extravagant affair? They can do that too. Want something different and non-traditional? They’ll knock that out of the park. Know exactly what you want? They’ll bring it to life how you envisioned it, to the letter. Have no idea what you want? They’ll work with you to figure it out and provide options, suggestions, pictures, advice, support, and expert guidance to make sure everything is perfect.
Even if you don’t use them for day-of coordination services the planning, communication, and customer service from their director of Catering, Ashley is incomparable and cannot be beat. Whether you’re a chill, laid-back, go with the flow type bride, a high-anxiety, type-A, need to know every single thing type of bride, or anywhere in the middle, Ashley has this way of making you 300% comfortable and confident that everything is perfectly under control and is going great in less than 5 seconds, without coming across as patronizing, controlling, or any other negative word you can think of. I would joke with my fiancé and parents that sometimes I just wanted to call and talk to Ashley because I was stressed or worried and she would make me feel better (but really I was serious).
Long story-short, every single aspect of our wedding was perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing. BOOK THIS VENUE.
