Seriously so so pleased with everything that Anne did on the wedding day! I had a make up and hair trial about a month before the wedding. Anne was so sweet and really encouraged me to tell her exactly what I wanted changed for the wedding day (I'm usually not great at this). I texted her all my thoughts and she took everything I said it made it PERFECT on the wedding day. She was prompt and had such a fun laid back energy the entire day while still getting through all the hair and make up so quickly! My bridesmaids and mothers looks so gorgeous the day of the wedding. I truly couldn't thank her enough!

Anne was amazing to work with for our big day! Both her an Shannon did a great job with my bridal makeup and hair. They also did makeup and hair for 8 bridesmaids and 4 other family members. They do a great job understanding what each individual wants and making them feel their best. Everyone was extremely impressed by them and loved their looks! Also, they are very efficient with their time and it was nice to not have to get up crazy early to start hair and makeup. It made our day much more comfortable and seamless! I would recommend working with Anne to anyone!

What can’t I say about Anne?! She is absolutely WONDERFUL! She is professional, flexible, caring, and a whole lot of fun. She did hair and makeup for me and my entire bridal party. Every girl loved what she did (which seems difficult to come by for bridal services). And, she even fit a couple more services in- some of my bridesmaids hadn’t signed up for makeup, they saw how gorgeous everyone else looked and they wanted it, too :) Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about Anne. Anne Coad and Shannon are simply the absolute BEST duo in the game!!! The hardest part when deciding who to choose as a make up artist + hair stylist is finding a ‘Picasso’ who enhances your natural beauty, while making YOU beyond radiant~ in real* life AND your photos! (This balance is a tough one to find). Her business, attitude, passion, design, and skill is phenomenal. Can’t recommend any better than the best and that is her and this team. Period.

Anne was so amazing for my wedding day!! I absolutely loved my hair and makeup! She also was great leading up to the day- She had very open communication and allowed me to call her anytime with changes that needed to be made to the schedule or for any questions I had. Anne was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. She did my hair and makeup for a wedding I was in 4 years ago and as soon as I got engaged I knew that she was the one I wanted to work with on my wedding day. She is incredibly easy to work with and made me feel so at ease during the entire process. When I showed her my inspiration pictures- she made those pictures come to life and I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life!!! Anne is also incredibly time efficient and I was never stressed during the morning of with getting everyone’s hair and make up done. She honestly feels more like a friend than a vendor and I appreciate her so much!!

Anne has done my makeup as a bridesmaid twice and most recently as a bride and I absolutely LOVE her!!! She feels more like a friend than just a wedding vendor. While we were getting ready Anne was so relaxing and none of my bridesmaids or myself felt stressed. I was very impressed with how efficient and quick she did all of our makeup. I had first worked with Anne when I was in my cousin's wedding back in January of 2020. She was one of the first vendors I booked after I got engaged. Anne is amazing at what she does. She is very easy to talk to, like you have known her forever. She did a trial for myself and for my mom (hair and make-up), and she did an excellent job. On the day of my wedding, she did my hair and make-up and the make-up for my entire bridal party, my mom and my mother-in-law. I highly recommend Anne! She makes you feel extra beautiful for your special day and is a joy to be around! The make-up and hair looks so good in the professional photos and stays on all day! I'm so happy to have had Anne help me get glam on my wedding day!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Anne! She did the hair and makeup for myself and the rest of the women in my bridal party. She is kind, professional, honest, and so good at her job! Anne made all the ladies in my bridal party feel so confident and beautiful. We did two trials, and for both, she traveled to me. She was communicative and easy to get ahold of. She listened to what I wanted and helped my vision come to life. Anne is SO amazing at what she does! She had done my makeup at my friend's wedding in 2020 and when I got engaged the first vendor I booked was Anne because I loved the work she had done! Anne was a great makeup artist for our wedding, everybody absolutely loved their makeup and it stayed picture perfect all day! Anne was fun to work with and efficient day of the wedding fitting a large number of family members into the morning in addition to the bridal party

I was very fortunate to have Anne do my hair and makeup for my wedding! I went back to school during my wedding planning period so we didn't always book vendors as early as we should have and it was super stressful to research thoroughly. Luckily Anne was familiar with our venue and had a simple contract/booking process. At my trial she helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. I was so worried all 8 of us wouldn't be ready in time but she and her fellow stylist work VERY quickly. As for her work, I was so happy my hair and makeup stayed all day, even until the morning since I fell asleep in my makeup (oops). The only thing I will add is that she has a lot going on behind the scenes so you'll want to take initiative when communicating. Leading up to my wedding I kept waiting to hear from her and it definitely gave me anxiety when I didn't. However, I always got a response when I reached out so I think that's the key.

Anne did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and I felt so gorgeous. My hair and makeup stayed in place all day and night! She was on time and was flexible when I changed my mind about hair styles after my trial. Anne is such a joy to be around and you could tell that she is passionate about her work. Communication was sometimes a little confusing since she would use a couple different emails to reach out and it was frustrating that the deposit didn’t go toward my final price. But overall, I was so happy with Anne.

I had been following Anne for years and when the time came for me to be the bride, there was no question as to who would do my hair and makeup for my special day. Anne was great to work with and listened to our requests and also added her own flair to the mix that was perfect. 100/10 absolutely recommend.

Anne is a talented makeup artist and we were happy with her work. But as others have noted, I found her difficult to communicate with once the retainer was paid and the contract signed. I don’t want to be overly negative because I think she works hard to fit people in (as in our case where we contracted at 2 months out). Just be advised to get questions answered and details settled up front because after that you may be left guessing.

Anne was awesome to work with, as was her assistant! You want to feel like the most beautiful person on your wedding day and she most certainly made me feel just that! And my mother and grandmothers felt incredible, too! Could not be happier with how the day turned out!

Anne was amazing to work with, and made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! I knew I wanted a more natural makeup look, and Anne created the exact look I wanted. She also helped me figure out exactly what I wanted to do with my hair, and made adjustments after my trial. She was so fun to work with and definitely helped start the morning off on a fun and relaxing note :)

Anne did an amazing job! She and her partner did a great job accommodating myself, my mother, mother-in-law and my large bridal party for my wedding. Everyone looked and felt amazing. My hair stayed looking great all night and even in the hot July heat my makeup and even lipstick stayed on. She did a great job making everyone look their best and is very easy to work with!

Anne was so great to work with for my wedding hair and makeup! She did hair and makeup for myself, multiple bridesmaids and family members, everyone could not stop raving about how much they loved Anne. She brought another girl with her to help with hair, and both were so fun to have with us as we got ready. My photographer was also so impressed by how everyone looked and kept saying Anne did a fantastic job. All the hair styles were unique and exactly what each girl wanted. The girls who got makeup done looked so beautiful! I feel like some makeup artists put way too much on clients and they look overdone. Anne made everyone look so natural and just enhanced their natural beauty. Hair and makeup also lasted until the end of the night. It was a long, hot day and a night full of dancing and everything still held up. Very impressed with Anne and would highly recommend her!

I really cannot recommend Anne enough! From my hair & makeup trial to the day of, she was so helpful in creating a beautiful style for the wedding day. All of my bridesmaids absolutely loved their looks! And she was able to get 8 girls ready in just 4 hours! My makeup stayed absolutely all day through July heat, and my hair was out of my face without feeling tied out of the way. Really Anne was just so nice and so good at what she does!

Anne did an absolutely beautiful job on my hair and all my girls hair for the wedding. She also worked efficiently and on schedule to get 9 girls hair done in more than enough time for us to take pictures at the end. I’m so happy with how everything turned out and she was definitely a apart of making our best day ever!

Anne was very hard to communicate with and mixed up who she was working with. As a fellow hairstylist who works with clients, it was very upsetting to send over a deposit, schedule a trial and have it mixed up with another person and have multiple problems with communicating.

I booked her in January for my July 23rd wedding, signing my contract and paying my retainer. Contacted her on June 10th to confirm. Anne confirmed the same day, then contacted me on June 11th (6 weeks before my wedding), telling me she had to cancel, saying there was a conflict with one of her Covid brides and had to cancel me because that bride rescheduled for my wedding date. Anne recommended someone else, so I emailed her right away and I still have not heard back from her. Although she did send my deposit back, I find it very unprofessional to cancel on me 6 weeks out for another wedding.

Anne is amazing! She is not only great at what she does (amazing at what she does), but she is the best person! I am so lucky to have had her for my wedding for all of my girls. I was worried about timing, and with 9 girls, we all had time to take a lunch break and still had extra time for photos because she worked so efficiently. Also, I have very oily skin and my face stayed the same all day and night, even with dancing!! I had her for my mini-mony last year, too and I am sad all the celebrations are over because I would hire her over and over again. She's an amazing makeup artist and person!

Anne is the best make up artist I’ve witnessed for a wedding, hands down. I’ve been in a few weddings and had my makeup done by others, she’s the best of the best. She did my makeup at my best friends wedding, so I switched to her from another artist to do my make up on my wedding day. My friends and I are all obsessed with her makeup style- she’s so talented! She also did my mom’s and mother in law’s and did excellent for them as well. She’s so much fun and laid back too. I recommend her all the time!

Anne is fabulous! She works quickly but doesn’t rush the beauty! Her partner April was also so wonderful and did a great job with the hair. They made my big day perfect!

Anna did the hair and make up for me and my bridal party and did an amazing job!! She came to the hotel we were getting ready in and did 7 girls hair and 4 makeup. She was so efficient, professional, stuck to timeline and sweet/funny talking to all of us as we got ready. All of us were obsessed with our hair and make up she did!! It was all perfect and lasted all night!! Anna was quick to respond during the planning process and was flexible when we had to reschedule our wedding due to covid!! I highly recommend Anna!

Anne took my deposit in July, but then was extremely difficult to communicate with. I have asked for a refund several times and have yet to receive my money. I contacted Anne in July 2020, she immediately got back with me and sent a contract and her Venmo account for the deposit. I completed it and sent the deposit the same day. I asked for a copy of the contract when she signed it. I didn’t hear back for a few days so I attempted contact again. She said she was on vacation and would send it later that week when she returned. I never heard from her again. I emailed her mid-August to ask for a trial date because my wedding was approaching on October 3rd. She said she was available that Sunday. I told her I was available any time. She never contacted me back to set up a time. I didn’t hear from her on Monday or Tuesday, so I emailed her again and asked if she had a different date in mind. She said she was available on Friday, September 18, with no apology or explanation. Again I asked her what time and she never got back to me to set an appointment time. So at this point, I called her on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday telling her I was trying to make contact to set up an appointment time. She never returned any of my phone calls. So on September 12, I sent an email telling her I have tried to contact her several times to set up an appointment and have never gotten any communication from her at all. I told her I had no idea why she was treating a client this way. I told her I would like a refund of my money. Within five minutes she emailed me back and said that she had had surgery and had just recovered from it. I told her at this point I had been trying to set this up since July and had no confidence or trust that she would even show up on my wedding day and I would simply like a refund. It is October 31 and I still have not heard from her again or received my refund. I can only hope she is not doing this to a lot of people it was very stressful. My next step is contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General.

She is wonderful to work with and did a great job with my hair and makeup. She is very personable and down to earth. Enjoyed working with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to do their hair or makeup or both. Thanks for making my day beautiful Angel

Wow wow wow! Anne was truly amazing and is absolutely fantastic at what she does. Anne was a God send! I had a makeup artist booked, that flaked 2 weeks prior to our wedding. Anne was super easy to talk to and book! She came in early the day of my wedding and took care of my bridesmaids, my mom and myself better than I could have asked. I have very bad rosacea and was terrified that someone not used to problem skin would be able to cover it as well as I’m used to. Anne FAR exceeded my expectations! Anne is AMAZING to say the least. From my initial trial to the day of, I was amazed by her kindness, talent, patience, calmness, efficiency, and her work. She did my makeup and hair along with A LOT of bridesmaids all by herself the day of our wedding. My hair and makeup stayed put the entire night (and I sweat a lot dancing). Usually my hair doesn't stay curled, and somehow Anne managed to make it hold without too much hairspray! I chose Anne because her makeup looks very natural without being overdone. She even offered to drive my wedding party (low on car space) to the venue after our makeup and hair!!!! She is so kind and was always very responsive to my texts/emails. She is an amazing woman and if you are between multiple vendors CHOOSE ANNE! You won't regret it.

Anne did an absolutely fantastic job with hair and make-up for myself, 5 bridesmaids, my mom, the groom's sister, and the flower girl. She managed to do all of that so quickly, and everyone's hair and make-up looked perfect! She was so efficient that she even had time to make several changes for a few of us to make sure we were completely happy with how we looked before she left. She was also great to have around while we were getting ready, as she easily fell into conversation with the group! Finally, she was incredibly responsive and easy to get a hold of during the planning stages and leading up to the ceremony. I did a trial run with her a few months before, which was great for helping me figure out what I liked and didn't like for my hair and make-up. In short, I was so impressed by how well she did hair and make-up for so many people, and that she was able to get everyone ready early for pre-ceremony pictures. Would definitely recommend having her do hair and make-up for your wedding!

Anne has a beautiful energy and brought some extra joy to the wedding day! After having a bad trial with another vendor, my trial with Anne was a breeze, she listened, took my notes and executed perfectly on the day of! My entire bridal party, mother and mother-in-law had nothing but good things to say and complimented Anne's professionalism and ease in which she managed the day. Anne made the entire process stress-free and brought the overall vision of my "elevated" bridal look to life. Loved working with her and highly recommend!

I know the stress and the research that goes into selecting wedding vendors, so I wanted to share an objective review for all of you lovely local brides beginning this search! I am not a “hair and makeup person”, which is to say, I have never had makeup done professionally and have rarely had hair styled. I am no expert! So take this with a grain of salt, I suppose. Here’s the good and the bad. The Good: Anne was very friendly. She was patient with my M.O.H., who came late and ran her behind. She did a nice job with my sister-in-law, who was self-conscious about a pregnancy-induced break-out. The Bad: We were blessed with so many great vendors who made our wedding experience a breeze! Sadly, this was not one of them. I saw a few similarly negative reviews below mine here, which I didn’t catch when I first hired her, so I would just really advise to read them all and weigh the pro’s and the con’s. A couple of my trials were cancelled, one just maybe an hour before, due to conflicts with her schedule. I also had to do two trials. I told her via email and when we met that I don’t wear makeup and wanted very subtle, natural-looking makeup. My makeup was so heavy that I teared up when I saw myself. I didn’t feel like me. I didn’t even want to look in the mirror. I came home and washed it off. On the day of the wedding, she said she would apply it little by little and would stop throughout the application to ask me if I wanted more makeup, or felt it was enough. She did not do this, and I was not in front of a mirror where I could see it. She showed me my makeup at the end. It felt very heavy for me, but I know that I could’ve asked for no makeup, so I take the blame. What really hurt us was what followed after my wedding day. I paid by card and was overcharged $100 on the day of the wedding, right before I was about to walk down the aisle, so of course, I did not catch it. We came home from our honeymoon to a catastrophic flood and money was tight. As I was looking at bank statements, I realized she overcharged me. I brought this to her attention, and she argued with me! So I quoted the contract, gave her a list of services she provided, did the math, and very politely explained that the math did not add up. She continued to argue with me. My husband and I were shocked. I was in tears. But she did eventually refund me the money. Buyers, beware!

Anne was amazing! She was very nice and easy to talk to. She made me feel very special on my wedding day and made me look incredible! Thank you so much for all your patience and hard work!

Anne cancelled our contract last minute because she didn’t want to drive the distance to the venue, despite my asking her about the location in the first email I sent her, and the address being clearly in the contract. She referred me to someone who had multiple reviews saying she didn’t show up for weddings. I respectfully declined the referral and expressed concerns about trying to find a suitable replacement with the wedding right around the corner (I booked Anne a year in advance). I told her I expected her to honor the contract. She never officially cancelled, and I never heard from her again despite multiple attempts at calling. I later received a PayPal notification that she had refunded my money. When I tried to confirm her cancellation via email, she never responded. I work closely with event planning in my profession, and this is the most unprofessional thing I have ever been a part of.

Anne is absolutely amazing and made me feel beautiful every step along the way for my wedding. I used her for my engagement photos, boudoir photos and my wedding. She traveled to the various locations and was always prompt and ready to go. Her work is stunning and she made my bridal party and myself more beautiful than every before :) I wish I could have her with me everyday, and I look forward to using her in the future!

Anne is the absolute greatest! Not only did she make me and my girls look beautiful on my big day, but she also came to our rescue with so many things during the course of the morning. She took her time but was efficient and made sure everyone was happy with their look. My make up stayed on perfectly throughout lots of sweating and a few tears. THANK YOU ANNE!

If I could give Anne more than 5 stars, I would! From my trial to my wedding day, she was an absolute joy to work with. Outstanding hair and make up that lasted all day! She made myself and all of my bridesmaids feel beautiful on my wedding day. She listened to each person and personalized their look. Brides Beware: I am sharing this after having tried to remediate this situation with the business and then later filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau with no response from the business owner. After paying $50 to retain Anne Girton for my wedding date and also paying her $75 for a make up trial with an additional tip of $15, Anne mentioned I would not meet her minimum number of clients in my party for her to do my make up on my wedding day. This was not mentioned anywhere in her contract, nor in any of our correspondence over the last 8 months. She refused to refund me any of the money I paid upfront and would not call me or respond in writing- she only sent voice messages to me through text message, which disappear after you listen to them, so she didn’t have to worry about a paper trail. Please do yourself the favor of finding a more reputable business!

Anne was so amazing to work with on my wedding day. I had quite a few ladies getting hair and makeup (many deciding they wanted to add something the day of) and she accommodated everyone, even those with strong personalities. She is a complete delight and sooo talented. I felt absolutely gorgeous when she was done with me (and so did everyone else). Thank you, Anne!

Anne is the absolute best! She was so fun and easy going at my consultation, she listened to what I wanted and helped me make changes. On the day of the wedding she got to our hotel early and was able to get all 10 people done way before pictures started (everyone’s hair looked flawless btw). She spent extra time on my hair and made sure everything was perfect down to each bobby pin. I would 100% recommended Anne to anyone!

First off, hire Anne!! She is truly incredible at her work. I used Anne for my wedding hair & make up. She was able to manage her time and got myself, my entire bridal party and MOB/ MOG done with ease and perfection. I can't say enough about her amazing work, but whats more special is that she feels like a friend. She fit right into my group on the day of, and I honestly couldn't have imagined my wedding day without her. We had such good conversation and shared so many laughs. Anne did an absolutely stunning job on my makeup for my wedding! When we did the trial it seemed a little dark at first, but Anne took all of my concerns and knocked it out of the park for my wedding day! My makeup was natural and highlighted my features without seeming heavy! It also stayed on ALL night! She is also so sweet and fun to work with! I would definitely recommend her!

Anne was absolutely AMAZING!!!! She did both hair & makeup for my maid of honor, my mother, and myself; all of us loved our looks! (even my mother, who can be pretty picky at times haha) She was so fun to work with and I would recommend her to anyone! :)

Anne is THE BOMB DOT COM. I had her do my make-up and hair for my wedding and everything stayed in tacked though all the crying, dancing, drinking and getting cake in the face. You are picking the wrong hair and make up artist if it's not Anne.

Anne was great and flexible! She is easygoing and a delight to work with. She solicited feedback and would work with everybody so that they could get the look they were going for. I especially appreciated that she took the time with bridesmaids, moms, and grandma's to make them feel spectacular :). She felt like a friend that was part of our day. Anne was very easy to work with from beginning to end. The trial was seamless. She showed up promptly on my wedding day, worked very fast while still producing a beautiful makeup look. She was kind, funny, and a joy to have around as well. Our makeup and lashes lasted all night and looked great in photos. Thank you again Anne!

Highly recommend for your wedding!! Anne & Shannon were very professional & extremely accommodating! They were so fun to hang out with for the morning of my wedding with all of us girls. Anne was wonderful to work with! She came to our hotel to complete 6 makeup appointments in no time! She never made me feel rushed but rather made me feel calm on my wedding day with her happy and positive attitude. As for the results... wow! Everyone looked amazing! Our make up lasted all day, even with the rain and humidity. She also brought Shannon to do our hair and we all were happy with the results. I would 10/10 recommend Anne!

Anne was so sweet to work with. She helped me stay calm, when everything else was going wrong. She went to a separate hotel to get four of my bridesmaids hair and makeup done. She managed to get to my hotel early to get my other two bridesmaids, my mom, and myself ready. She was on time for both appointments. I can not say enough wonderful things about Anne! After my make up artist cancelled on me less than a month before my wedding I was scrambling to find someone, when I came across Anne! She so graciously was able to fit me in for my wedding day and was able to travel to my hotel to do my makeup! She’s such a wonderful women! She made me feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. Anne and Shannon (who did our hair because we had such a large group) were absolutely wonderful!! They were so flexible with meeting us our hotel and even driving us to the venue. They were a pleasure to work with and did SUCH a fantastic job! We all felt so pretty, and (even better) the makeup lasted all night long, even through sweating it out on the dance floor. Seriously, there were pictures from the end of the night where I probably should have looked like a gremlin but instead I looked like I had just finished getting my makeup done. They provided great, individualized service to each of my 7 bridesmaids, 2 junior bridesmaids, my mom, my mother in law AND me. I honestly could not recommend them enough. Anne did our hair for my wedding and she was amazing!! The updo she did to my hair was nothing I would have been able to achieve on my own and she did it so quick too! The updo was very secure and did not fall out all night! She was on time and professional and fun!
