We can’t speak highly enough of Danielle Voight’s design services for our daughter’s recent wedding. Her meticulous eye and sense of style and color created a magical setting for a Moorish-themed, tented reception. Danielle oversaw all floral arrangements, table and linen décor, lighting, furniture rental, space layout and printed materials. In addition, she selected and coordinated all relevant vendors,
installation teams, etc. to insure everything happened as envisioned and planned. She is thorough, professional, responsive, incredibly talented - and a caring, warm person to work with. We feel lucky to have found her and even more lucky to have had her as part of our wedding team.
I used Danielle/Design Studio South to manage all of the design details of my wedding (lighting, paper goods, linens, dance floor pattern, layout, etc.) while working with another wedding planner for all of the logistical details. Danielle understood my vision perfectly and executed it flawlessly. Her creativity and thoughtfulness allowed for the aesthetic to perfectly match my dream. Planning a wedding in Savannah while living in NYC could have been stressful, but she made it seamless, particularly with all of her connections with other vendors. She was so easy to work with, allowing me to be as involved or uninvolved in decisions as I wanted. She truly made magic happen inside my wedding tent!
Design studio south is the best thing you can do for yourself and your wedding. I worked with Samantha and Danielle throughout my entire wedding process and could not have asked for a better team. Leading up to the wedding, Danielle took my meandering design ideas and perfectly translated them to everything I was looking for and more. All of her designs matched exactly the vision I had and she was always open to discussing new ideas. Samantha was absolutely amazing on the day to day and was always available to chat through things and guide vendor meetings. On the day of my wedding I had not a trouble in the world knowing this amazing team had every detail covered. From start to finish they had everything covered and more and more. Look no further than DSS for your wedding planning team!!!
Samantha and Danielle are a dream team! They created the most beautiful ceremony and wedding reception space for my daughter's May 2023 wedding at Oldfield (even Oldfield was extremely impressed). Danielle was the creative visionary, and we met via zoom with her several times, and Samantha was the detail-oriented planner and quick-to-respond communicator who took all of our calls, replied to all of our emails, and handled logistics, including the "day of" and the "day after". With regard to design, I really appreciated that Danielle first presented her creative vision and then was open to collaborating and building on any details we wanted to see incorporated. The results were spectacular! With regard to Samantha, that girl can plan a wedding! She crossed every "t "and dotted every "i" in the very best way, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with every detail. Look no further - they are creative, honest, hard-working, responsive, approachable and experienced - everything you would want in a wedding planner. A+++
Danielle and her team from Design Studio South were wonderful to work with. She brought so many ideas, vendor options and experience to the process . Her design plans were creative , beautiful and fit our venue perfectly . Our only regret was not hiring them for day of the wedding to try and save a little money . After working a year with Danielle , we were so excited to see it come together , so would have loved having her there. Also , we know she would have executed it all perfectly , and adjusted where needed which was difficult with the venue provided planner I highly recommend Design Studio South for planning, design and definitely after all your collaboration and hard work hire them for day of so you are sure , it is executed properly and you are free to enjoy it all .
I read every review on vendors when planning my wedding so I know how valuable they are - that said, Danielle was the absolute best choice and working with her made the wedding planning process, and our actual wedding, so seamless and memorable. We had so much fun working together, which I've learned is quite rare!
We planned a destination wedding in Savannah (+ navigated a year postponement) and I felt so confident every detail was covered along the way. It's so important for all of your vendors to work in sync with one another and her relationships and outstanding reputation made that possible for us.

Danielle and the Design Studio South team were a dream to work with! They truly went above and beyond over a two year span to keep me calm, organized, and on track amidst Covid-related delays. I was planning my wedding from afar, and it was essential to have someone on the ground in Savannah with strong vendor relationships. Danielle helped me put together a dream team, and everything was executed flawlessly. I could not have been more pleased with the results!
We selected Design Studio South to be our wedding planner in 2019 for our destination wedding in Savannah, scheduled for 2020. We chose them because they were organized, had previous weddings that fit our aesthetic, had excellent communication and responsiveness, and their pricing was competitive. Our wedding was scheduled to happen in May of 2020 and the pandemic unfortunately made that impossible. The effort and support that DSS provided during the pandemic was invaluable. Danielle was our wedding planner and she handled everything we could think of and more, including being the liaison between us and our vendors. We ended up scheduling a new date with our venue and she handled the rest. She coordinated all of the changes with our vendors, helped us with navigating the contract changes, and made sure that the rescheduling process went smoothly. She even sent us a beautiful care package to help us keep our spirits up during the crazy times. Unfortunately, the pandemic continued for longer than anyone expected, and instead of rescheduling a second time, we ended up deciding to cancel our destination wedding and have a small intimate wedding in our hometown. Cancelling our wedding was not an easy decision, but Danielle and the team at DSS made it an easy process for us. They took care of contacting all of our vendors, let us know which ones we could expect money back from and which ones would keep our deposits. They also helped us change our photographer, floral, and bakery contracts so that we could keep our deposits and have a special weekend get-away where we could put them to good use. DSS went above and beyond to work with our baker, florist, and photographer to plan a very special anniversary trip for us in Savannah. She planned out a photoshoot with our photographer with multiple location stops throughout the city; she planned out a cake and baked goods with our baker so that we could have a gorgeous cake and all the desserts we could eat during the weekend; and she had our florist use our deposits to create a bouquet, floral arch, and other arrangements so that we could have an intimate vow renewal ceremony. It was a beautiful weekend and it would not have been possible without all the effort from Danielle and her team. We would 100% recommend DSS to anyone who is planning on having a wedding in the Savannah or surrounding Low Country area. They will go above and beyond to give you the wedding of your dreams.
Design Studio South is absolutely the gold standard of event coordination and design. Danielle and her team are not only an absolute pleasure to work with and have a beautiful style but they also bring a high level of experience. They go beyond simply planning the event, anticipating their clients needs so couples can feel like guests at their wedding celebration while soaking up every single moment.

Danielle and team were wonderful to work with for our wedding this past October 2020. Not only were they proactive, reliable and flexible in terms of scheduling calls with us, but they were also very helpful and compassionate as we figured out how to replan our wedding (multiple times in fact) due to COVID-19 restrictions to ensure that it would be extremely safe and as special as we initially imagined. They went above and beyond the day of to ensure that neither of us experienced any stress whatsoever and could be fully present in the moment - including cleaning my dog's paws after she ran in the marsh minutes before she was supposed to walk down the aisle! Couldn't have asked for more!
DSS was a lifesaver while planning a wedding during a pandemic and making sure that everything was safe but still special and beautiful! I couldn't have gotten through this without them. The day ran so smoothly, and they really went above and beyond. Everyone that we talked to from their team was always so kind and helpful too. We are using them again next year for our full celebration!!
Danielle with Design Studio South has been amazing to work with. As a wedding videographer we work along side tons of vendors and get to see the ends and outs of others jobs. We always look forward to working with DSS! They go above to make each event a dream and one to remember. I highly recommend DSS as your event designer/planner.
Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and entire day were truly INCREDIBLE thanks to Danielle with Design Studio South. From day one of working with her, we were beyond pleased. She was so flexible and patient with me as we worked through the challenges of being in different cities and me being an unorganized bride working on a night shift schedule. Her creativity as a wedding planner is astounding! She really did transform a plain outdoor space into a ethereal wonderland. So many times she would make a suggestion that I would have never thought of, and we would just trust her because she brilliantly knows what she is doing. And we are so glad we trusted her with the biggest day of our life thus far! She eased our stresses and she WAY exceeded our expectations. Thank you Danielle, for everything!
What can I say about DSS? They are simply the best! I own an Event Planning Company in NY and I had clients who wanted to get married in Savannah. I contacted DSS and they were amazing right from the start. They were able to secure my clients the ceremony venue of their dreams! They are so knowledgeable about the area and it’s vendors. They were always so approachable and willing to go above and beyond. Danielle was such a big help to me with bringing everything together and handling all of the week of coordination details. Her and her team were so organized and professional. I’m a bit of a type A personality being a planner myself and all but I knew Danielle would get the job done. My clients were beyond thrilled with everything and I couldn’t have done it without Design Studio South. I can only hope to convince another Bride and Groom to get married in Savannah so that I can work with them again! Haha
I wish I could give Design Studio South 100 stars. Seriously. Using DSS was the best decision we ever made! Danielle was the most helpful person and because of her my wedding day was absolutely stress free. My mother and I did not have to lift a finger and were able to completely enjoy our day and take in everything. Danielle and her assistant kept everyone so organized and made sure everyone was where they needed to be, when they needed to be. They turned all of my dreams into reality on the day of the wedding!
Hiring Alysse at Design Studio South was the single best decision we made in the entire wedding planning process. She is extremely professional, thorough, and responsive to our every request. She allowed us to focus on enjoying the process and especially the day! After she came on board our team, I had no more stress - even with a hurricane lurking off shore! Design Studio South handled all of the intricate details with all of our vendors and several of them reached out to me to let me know how much they enjoyed working with her. The actual day of the wedding was perfect thanks to the DSS team. They stayed with us all day and made sure that everything went smoothly. As mother of the bride, I really appreciated not having to handle the million things that happen. I was able to relax and enjoy the event. I give DSS the highest recommendation. My only regret is that I did not hire them sooner!

My husband and I are so happy that we chose Design Studio South for our week-of coordination! Danielle and Alysse have so much invaluable experience when it comes to both planning and coordinating weddings in Savannah, we absolutely could not have made it through wedding planning without them. We live in Los Angeles and planned our wedding from afar, so it was such a joy and relief to pass off all of the last minute logistics and coordination to DSS our wedding week. They did a pitch-perfect job executing everything we had planned and our wedding day was again absolutely *perfect.*
Here's why you should hire DSS. 1) They have personal relationships with all of the wedding vendors in Savannah, and will help you pick the best vendors for your wedding. 2) They are seasoned pros who will help you think through every minute detail. I am a type-A organized person but there was still so much that I never would have thought to plan or think about without DSS's help. 3) If you're planning a destination wedding, and want to use one of Savannah's Parks, DSS will go to City Hall and book it for you. 4) Again if you're planning from afar, you can ship all wedding related items to DSS in Savannah. 5) Wedding week coordination is SO important! It was absolutely key for us to have DSS's team transport last minute items to our ceremony site & reception, navigate the threat of rain, keep things on schedule, and gather all of the wedding items at the end of the night so you don't have to stay for cleanup (toasting flutes, flowers, extra favors, signage, etc.) I could go on and on about how important DSS was for our wedding. They gathered up my bridesmaids' belongings to bring to the reception (so they weren't lugging them around during photos), they arranged all signage at our ceremony and reception, they had umbrellas at the ready when it started to lightly sprinkle during our ceremony, they helped politely herd folks to the trolleys, they ran our rehearsal and paced our ceremony procession perfectly, etc. etc.! 6) I mentioned I was type-A already. I can very honestly say that I had so much faith in DSS that I truly relaxed during my wedding weekend and didn't worry once about the logistics. I highly recommend hiring a coordinator/planner so you can truly enjoy your wedding day and be fully present. 7) Personal anecdote: DSS made a wonderful on the fly recommendations to us on our wedding day. During cocktail hour they invited us to head into the empty reception hall to take a break and have a moment to ourselves. It was such a joy to have a quiet moment together to see the fruits of our labor, and take a much needed breather.
In short, you will not regret hiring DSS. They are the best of the best.
Hire them- NOW! We used DSS for our week of coordination and it was not only one of the best decisions of our wedding but of our lives! The stress level goes down at least 50%. Our original reception venue had a fire 8 weeks before our wedding and DSS stepped up and offered to help in any way they could. We were a destination couple and didn't get to meet the team until we arrived in Savannah. We were completely out of element and, admittedly, a little disorganized and didn't even know how we were going to do our ceremony, but Teresa and Taylor came to our rehearsal and began to put our nerves at ease. They are all so efficient, helpful and sweet. The day of the wedding, Teresa pulled off the timing and coordination of everything seamlessly. I mean I still don't know how they got three trolleys to our ceremony square and filled with guests and off on a tour in less than 5 minutes but they did! They got everyone where they needed to be and on time. Taylor and Mary Margaret were with me the whole day and did things like steamed my dress, kept track of my bouquet and accessories, and even reminded me to eat a few bites of lunch! By the end of our wedding, we were sad to say goodbye to everyone. We relied so heavily on them and they were the reason everything went so smoothly on our wedding day. It really was the best day of my life and I owe so much of it to DSS.
I am the MOB and I will never be able to thank Design Studio South and especially Danielle for planning and executing the most perfect wedding for my daughter. The bride lives in Atlanta and I live in Memphis and the wedding was in Savannah. What could go wrong ?
The attention to detail was spot on . You presented us with the "dream wedding" and let us pick what was really important. The suggestions for caterers, florist and even seating arrangements were perfect. Complete strangers came up and introduced themselves and said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Danielle and her team from DSS kept us on track and organized and we never felt rushed. We even came in under budget on many items. Money well spent for memories that will last a lifetime.

I can't say enough amazing things about Alysse, Danielle, and the whole DSS team. My husband and I live in Miami and run our own practice. When we decided to get married I knew we needed to find a wedding planner to help us manage everything from afar. I reached out to a few different planners in the Savannah area and when I called DSS I was able to speak to Alysse right away. Long story short we ended up having an insane amount of things in common (fiancé went to high school with her, her and I went to the same college but different years .... yes I know, crazy) BUT that is not why we ended up hiring her. From the moment we spoke, Alysse was very professional and organized. She emailed me right away with detailed information outlining exactly what they would offer. We ended up going with the full planning service and eventually added on the gift bag service as well.
When Danielle and Alysse sent me the mood board I knew I had picked the right team. I couldn't believe how accurately they captured our style and what we wanted the day to look and feel like. Alysse and her team helped us pick all of our vendors, order invitations, programs, etc. They helped us do IT ALL. We only went to Savannah once during the entire year of planning to do cake tastings, catering tastings, and a design meeting. I am a SUPER type A person (thanks Alysse for putting up with my emails and spread sheets, you dah best), so I was nervous to find a planner I could trust, BUT Alysse met me right back with her organized spread sheets and color coding. I always joked with her telling her how in love I was with her organizing systems.
When it came down to the wedding weekend, I was the most calm I think I've ever been. I honestly think I was more nervous at friend's weddings than my own. I was able to just relax and enjoy every minute of the weekend all thanks to Alysse and her team. I was blown away by how beautiful everything was. To see everything we had talked about for months come to life was just incredible. I knew every detail that was going to be in that wedding but when I actually saw it in person I was shocked. They far exceeded our expectations and gave us a wedding weekend we will never ever forget. Thank you Alysse, Danielle, Tyne, Rachel B., Andrea H. and the whole DSS team for everything!!
Overall I enjoyed working with Design Studio South (DSS). Alysse was very easy to talk to and answered my many questions when searching for the best planner for our small destination wedding in Savannah. There were times though once the process of planning began where it was difficult to get responses and answers to my emails. At times after weeks without a reply I would have to call directly to get an idea of what was going on in the planning process. Closer to our wedding however the communication became a lot better and appreciated the team including me in meetings and discussions with our vendors in order for everyone to be on the same page. I did feel that some of the elements of our wedding weren't what we asked for from a few of our vendors but overall everything turned out beautifully. In the end I am thankful for all of their efforts to make our wedding as smooth as possible and would recommend DSS to another bride.

We worked with Danielle for week of planning and she was just amazing. I planned our destination wedding in Savannah long distance, and Danielle and her team made sure everything was lovely, organized and even helped rearrange the timeline when rain threatened our outdoor reception. I got so many complements from friends and family on how professional, friendly, organized and on point the DSS team was. They were a joy to work with. Highly recommend :)
We used Design Studio South for week-of coordination and the Designer Day option they have to help guide you through decor options. They were amazing!! The staff is fantastic, they all went above and beyond our expectations. They have a ton of knowledge of the venues in the area, what works for them and what doesn't. They handle so many details I wouldn't have even thought of with the Designer Day plan--providing layouts which I certainly didn't want to attempt making myself, to having long calls with our caterer to ensure they had everything they needed to cook on-site, to being a fantastic presence during the wedding day to handle all sorts of odds and ends. I honestly would have paid double or even more than what we paid for Designer Day in terms of value we received from it. Planning a wedding is stressful, do yourself a favor and use the services of DSS. We had such a stress-free wedding day where everything ran smoothly, and it was truly thanks to them.
I cannot write enough nice stuff about the team at DSS. My husband and I went the full planning route with Lacy, and it was hands down the best money ever spent. The whole DSS team are so flexible and will adapt to how you work. We were having a destination wedding on Saint Simons Island, GA, and we had no clue where to start with vendors, locations, etc. so that's why we went with DSS (that and their fabulous reviews). How I work, I like options but not too many... So Lacy would come with her best 2-3 recommendations, we could then do the research, ask questions, compare quotes, and make an informed decision without being overwhelmed (I'm quite type A). Lacy would then keep everyone on track... It's time to pick a florist, it's time to order the invitations, it's time to pay the final deposit on the band, etc. She knew the details of every contract backwards and forwards and ensured everyone got paid on time and in full. Gave us such piece of mind!
The design team was FABULOUS as well, they truly got the look and feel we were going for, and executed it flawlessly (thanks, Danielle!)
We also hired the DSS team to handle our welcome bags. That I cannot recommend enough (especially since we had 100). That process was so smooth, and we literally did not have to lift a finger... The DSS team got them where they needed to go!
Now the BIG weekend! I had a DSS team member with me at all times, Tyne was sweet, adorable, very attentive. She ran a tight ship while I was getting ready (8 bridesmaids can be hard to wrangle). And Lacy and Skye tended to EVERYTHING! Even getting a last-minute tent put up for us in less than ideal weather...
The DSS team is the way to go, and Lacy was so thorough, attentive, kind, accommodating and has such a commanding presence! I'm a little sad she won't be telling me what to do anymore!
If you want your wedding day to be PERFECT, you need to hire DSS and request Lacy McLaurin Evans as your wedding planner. The entire staff at DSS is amazing. Everyone there is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to work with. My daughter and I worked with DSS for over a year, and it was truly a pleasure. We shall miss the daily correspondences terribly. Lacy and her team did EVERYTHING for us! As the mother of the bride, the wedding day was stress free for me because they tended to everything. No detail was overlooked. No stone was left unturned. I am still basking in the glow of all my friends' compliments , and this is all because of what Lacy and her team did. My husband and I both agree that next to our daughter's college and camp tuition, this is the best money we have ever spent!

Our wedding was about a month ago, a few days after a snow storm, so there was a lot that could have gone wrong but in the end the day was more perfect than I ever could have imagined.
The day we got married there was still snow on the ground for our outside ceremony. After the ceremony, my toes were frozen from taking pictures outside and actually standing in snow at some points for that perfect picture. Lacy actually sat me down, got on the floor and warmed up my feet for me. She is willing to do anything to go above and beyond for any one of her couples.
They always answered my emails or texts that day, if not immediately. This is the 3rd event that I have been involved with the Design Studio South team, my two best friends used them for their weddings as well. And all three events went on without a hitch. The pastor that married us was my childhood pastor from South Florida, he has married hundreds of people throughout his career and raved about how he had never seen a team execute and run an event as well as Lacy and the Design Studio South team did that weekend. Love this team and I would 100% recommend them to anyone who asks!!
Could not recommend them more highly! Had a great experience and am so thankful to have had Meagan throughout the process. Super helpful, responsive, and made it so much more fun for my entire family on the day of. They thought of everything and were so organized and coordinated it really took the stress off me leading up to the wedding day!
Oh my gosh! Words can’t describe how much I loved having Design Studio South as my wedding coordinators/ planners. The whole team is amazing and made my wedding day as perfect as could be. Nothing went wrong and I’m telling you, literally everything went perfect because of them. They make sure that everything is taken care of and that you don’t have to worry about anything on your big day. They’re always a phone call or email away and are super quick to respond. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else help me through this whole wedding planning but Design Studio South. They are worth every penny and then some! I definitely recommend them :)
As a DIY destination bride, I was determined to do EVERYTHING myself. My best friend (in the wedding industry herself) understood my drive, but also strongly suggested I take on a week-of coordinator. She referred me to Design Studio South, and I’m very glad she did.
We signed a contract with Lacy and her team over a year before our wedding, and they were amazing from the get-go. Leading up to the wedding they were able to help us understand what to expect, to refer us to other local vendors, and to raise questions we would never have even thought of. The week-of they were on top of everything— from last minute details (including a potential rain plan), to scheduling, to taking in all of my DIY decor.
The rehearsal was conducted by Lacy and our venue coordinator (and of course went off without a hitch), and we had a team of 3 supporting us the day-of. Not once during that day did I have to make a decision or give any instruction, which felt AMAZING. When the wedding was over they packed up all of our stuff, and the morning after they dropped everything off.
I cannot emphasize how great it felt to be able to fully trust DSS with everything on our wedding day. Even being the type of person who plans everything to a T and charts everything in Excel spreadsheets, I know that I would not have been able to do it without them. I was able to wake up, get ready, get married, and party my heart out without a single care in the world. To me, that feeling is priceless.

We couldn't have done it without Design Studio South. We went with the Week of Coordination package. Meagan was our lead planner and was amazing. She kept everything and everyone in check. Teresa stayed with the bridal party throughout the entire day, keeping us on time but also making sure all the little things were taken care of—everything from getting the rings to the right people to making sure I had eye drops on hand! This was the perfect thing for folks doing their own planning but needing help the week and day of. They were lifesavers and made sure we enjoyed our day!
Lacy was SUCH a tremendous help to us during our wedding preparation. She is very personable, funny, and so incredibly easy to work with! She answers emails extremely quickly and had been very available to us to chat on the phone whenever we needed her. She knew each of our vendors (all recommended to us by our event space, The Mansion on Forsyth Park) and easily coordinated their services. We had absolutely no problems whatsoever with how anything turned out. She made sure our wedding went according to plan as we specified and she really went above and beyond. Her assistant, Teresa, was SUCH an amazing help the day of the wedding and helping my wife get ready. I HIGHLY recommend DSS' services - you really will not regret it!
Hiring Design Studio South was the best decision that we could have made for our wedding. We went with the full planning option and I can honestly say that I was hardly stressed throughout the process. Alysse and her team handled everything and helped us select vendors, presented us with a styling vision, and managed the execution day-of beautifully. My Hurricane Matthew wedding turned into a dream come true because of Design Studio South. You don't know a vendor's true colors until you are faced with disaster, and DSS proved to be the BEST despite having to completely re-plan my wedding. That's right - my original wedding date was October 8, 2016 but DSS re-planned the entire event again for a new date...with grace, professionalism, and care. Choosing them as my wedding planning team was THE best decision I made throughout my journey as a bride (next to saying YES to my husband, of course). And I really mean that. Here are the top 5 reasons I loved their service 1) They are genuine. DSS planned my wedding as if it was their own. They paid so much attention to detail and made sure everything was done with quality and care. Not because I asked, but because they run their business with integrity and genuinely wanted the best for me. 2) They know the Savannah wedding industry very well, which ultimately helped me save money when choosing vendors and negotiating vendors 3) They're creative! They gave me a plethora of ideas and designed it beautifully 4) They cared about my feelings as a bride and really became great friends as throughout the process. They understood my anxiety and was able to calm me down during every step of the way 5) They are responsive. The last thing you want during the planning process is a planner who takes days to get back to you. I was able to communicate with DSS throughout the day on various ideas or questions that came up, which is super valuable.

Honestly the best money we spent on our wedding! Alysse and her staff know what they are doing and they do it well! We weren't interested in planning every detail of our wedding, things like flowers, decor etc. We left those details up to Alysse and she did not disappoint. Hands down the best decision my husband and I made when it came to our wedding, was hiring Design Studio South. Alysse and her team made our destination wedding the most magnificent day of our lives. My husband and I were looking for more of a hands off planning process when it came to our wedding. We both knew exactly what we wanted, but we wanted someone else to execute it for us. After an initial call with Alysse we had our follow up so she could get a feel for what it was that we wanted. Upon receiving her mood board we were speechless. Alysse took a two hour call, most of which was me saying, I love this, oh but I really love this, and maybe some of this too and turned our dream into a reality. The day of our wedding the only thing I had to worry about was enjoying the entire day with my bridesmaids and best girlfriends while we were being pampered and getting ready. Because of Alysse and her DSS team I didn't have a single worry. Everyone who saw me prior to walking down the aisle said I was the most calm bride they'd ever seen and I can attribute that to Alysse and her team. I knew that everything was being taken care of to perfection and all I had to do was show up. Allowing me to enjoy the entire day stress free. The day of I was also lucky enough to have one of the DSS team ladies, Tyne, by my side every step of the way. She did everything for me and my bridesmaids. From picking up our catered breakfast and lunches, running back and forth from the venue to our rental house when we'd forgotten things, to just standing with me to calm my nerves as I was awaiting my first look with my husband. There wasn't a single thing that I needed that she wasn't already ten steps ahead of me delivering it. The entire day was flawless. My husband and I are still talking about how incredible everything was. Attention to every detail made our wedding day put even the best of fairy tales to shame. We cannot thank you all enough! xoxo
We interviewed more than one vender, and based on previous reviews, our gut feeling that this company was the best fit, and Design Studio South being able to offer the best package to suit our needs, we went with DSS. We are so very happy that we did! We chose the "week of" planning along with design services. I am the MOB and live out of town, and my daughter, while in Savannah, needed help with the design ideas. I can honestly say that this was money well spent, and I cannot imagine why anyone would opt not to use a planner! Lacy (our coordinator) and the team at DSS were fabulous from start to finish. She came up with a beautiful design based on rather vague ideas of what my daughter might want. A questionnaire along with an idea board to post photos was all they had to begin the process, and they hit is out of the park. A few modifications here and there brought about the exact look my daughter wanted, venders were recommended, and we took off from there to find the items we needed to stay within the budget we had set. Lacy was available throughout the whole process to answer questions, provide recommendations, and to help in any way needed to make sure we could pull the design together. She definitely went over and above the Design Day/Week of package, and we are so grateful! We provided her with final details and all of our venders (furniture rental, flowers, DJ, lights, caterer, linen rental, etc.) and she took over as the point of contact the week of the wedding. A well-organized timeline was drafted and provided to all of the wedding party. The church and venue looked beautiful and the wedding and reception flowed perfectly. Any little "hiccups" were handled easily, and our day (and especially the bride's day) was full of celebration. My only regret is that my other 2 daughters don't live in Savannah, as I would DEFINITELY work with Design Studio again. Best Money spent on the wedding! Every detail was handled and we had a perfect day!

There are not enough words to describe the service that we received from Lacy at Design Studio South for our wedding day. My husband and I had considered doing all the planning and coordinating ourselves.. In the end we chose to get the week-of package because we were planning everything from a distance, and we thought it would ease some of the stress. Hiring a coordinator was the BEST decision we could have made.
We got married October 15th...a mere week after Hurricane Matthew decided to land right on Savannah, GA and wreak havoc on the city. While glued to the news coverage on TV (we are not from Savannah), we patiently waited to hear from all of our vendors and at one point thought that we would have to cancel our destination wedding. It was SUCH a blessing having Lacy as our eyes, ears, and go-to point of communication during this time. Our ceremony was scheduled to be held in Forsyth Park. A few days before our wedding day, we were told by the city that we would probably have to find another venue due to uprooted trees scattered throughout the park. Lacy was so helpful in finding backup options and helped us stay calm. We also had last minute issues with our reception venue, and they had booked another event to be held directly before ours - making the preparation and decorating another obstacle.
In the end, we were allowed to have our ceremony in our dream location and everything was perfect. Despite multiple "bumps in the road," our wedding day went flawlessly and it's all because of Lacy. She went above and beyond our expectations and was there for whatever we needed. We could not be more thankful, and we highly recommend Design Studio South!
I am so happy I found Alysse and the girls! We had our wedding in Savannah but live in Daytona Beach area and working with Alysse was wonderful! She was so accommodating and made our out of town wedding that much easier. She helped us to find other vendors that she had worked with and gave great advice and direction. She is a true professional and made our wedding day go so smooth and stay on time! I just can't say enough good things about Alysse. If you are getting married or doing an event in the Savannah area she is your girl!!!
The minute we met Lacy with DSS, we knew we had hired the right wedding planning service. Her attention to detail and professional was incredible. Plus, she has the most bubbly personality! I had a dream wedding in mind but had no idea how to get to the end result. Once I spoke with Lacy about the complete package planning I felt at ease. Lacy and all the DSS coordinators were so helpful and have wonderful taste. They handle everything for you and are a great sounding board for ideas. They made planning so much fun for us. I miss planning with them!! Our wedding was absolutely beautiful- just like a dream!
We hired Alysse and her DSS team for the full wedding planning package and it was worth every single penny and then some. Alysse is one of the most talented and versatile women I've ever met--she is an artist (each wedding she touches is stunning), businesswoman (she helped us negotiate more than a few contracts and snags with other vendors and expertly managed our budget), and therapist (always happy to listen to and resolve those wedding-related meltdowns)! She communicated with everyone involved in our wedding from mothers to bridesmaids to vendors with polished professionalism. Her team was equally impressive. Of course they have multiple clients, but I was made to feel like I was the only one. I could not recommend DSS more!
My daughter had Alysse Sweeney of Design Studio South as her wedding planner and everything from the start of the process through the evening of the wedding was wonderful. My daughter received advise on the event, the design of the event, local vendors, a planning schedule, and the added bonus of getting to work with Alysse, who is such a warm person with creative ideas, an ability to listen carefully to her clients and give advice with refreshing ideas. I cannot say enough about how comfortable and great this wedding planner service is!!
LACY IS AMAZING!! I cannot tell you enough how wonderful this company is. They made my day wonderful. They made sure I had my moments to appreciate and my down time with my groom. We had family drama and they handled it seamlessly. Again, AMAZING company. You won't regret working with them. They made my day magical.
First, let me note that my wedding planning process was a bit chaotic--I had my entire wedding planned, then because of booking conflicts I had to change EVERYTHING 2 months out. While I live in Savannah, none of my family or bridesmaids are in town & I was feeling very overwhelmed about the prospect of handling all the wedding set-up. I had previously, briefly, met Alysse when I was having a meeting with my florist, Kato Floral Designs, and I instantly liked her. As my day approached and my stress levels were rising, I called DSS to see if they were available for week-of-coordination. I spoke to Lacy and felt IMMEDIATE relief, & that gut intuition was right. Lacy was an absolute lifesaver during our wedding week. She kept me on point so that I wasn't procrastinating with vendor details, she helped herd my bridesmaids when they started to scatter, she ran the rehearsal smoothly (& when we realized we were having technical difficulty with the ceremony music during the rehearsal, she quickly called our DJ & booked him for the ceremony, without ever letting this stress me out), & she made sure all of our vendors were on the right timeline (a big relief for planning the week of). When the big day arrived, Lacy kept me in the loop with what was going on at the chapel while still handling all of the details without my added stress. Another member of the DSS team, Ashley, was with the bridal party as we were getting ready & was able to help transport my dress and flowers as well as be a great point of contact (which was helpful, since we were running late!). I know there was another DSS partner at the wedding itself, but they were working so hard I didn't get a chance to thank her for her hard work. The wedding went smoothly, and after the send-off my mother informed me of how helpful Lacy and her team were in tearing down the venue and getting all the decor packed up. This was not an easy task but it made my parent's night so much easier.

Our decision to work with Design Studio South for our wedding was easily the best decision we made during our planning! My husband and I were moving out of the Savannah area when we started planning our Savannah wedding, and we knew we had to have a coordinator that we trusted. During our first phone conversation, I knew that we HAD to work with Alysse. Eric and I didn't have many solid ideas to bring to our first meeting...we just knew that we wanted a Southern, romantic, fun wedding. Alysse and Tristan took the vague guidance we provided and created a dream! Y'all, it was SO much more than we ever could've ever hoped for! We were living in Baltimore throughout 95% of the planning process. Part of the package that we chose was the "Vendor Recommendations", and thank goodness we did. They provided us with 3 great options for each vendor that we would need, and since we weren't able to do any tastings/appointments for anything we had to trust their opinion. They did not let us down! Everything, from the food to the florals, was out of this world. No matter how many times I called or emailed, they were always happy and willing to help me with whatever I needed. One month before our wedding, Alysse sent me an email that said "I've got everything from here"...such a blessing! During that last month, Eric and I were able to focus on us. That would not have been possible without everything that Design Studio South had done. We were totally confident that they had it and we didn't have to worry about anything. Our wedding was the most beautiful event I've ever seen. Everything that was important to Eric and I wasn't only incorporated into the wedding, it was the wedding. Through their creativity and unparalleled design eye, they created everything we asked for...Southern, fun romance. I could go on for days about how perfect the entire process was. In short, Design Studio South is the absolute best, and through everything they became cherished our friends!
Design Studio South- there are no words to describe these women- but I will try. Brilliant, funny, helpful, bubbly, sparkling diamonds in a sea of glitter- they have it all. I would not have survived my wedding weekend without them. They went above and beyond anything I expected from a week of wedding package and they were quick with responses and readily available when needed. Alysse, you are girl power wrapped with a bow. My decorations at the ceremony and reception were more than I could have expected and all thanks are to you. Jennifer- my babysitter, my flower helper, my bringer of crackers and medicine. Owe how I adore you for getting me through the day and able to enjoy my wedding events. I didn’t get her name but there was a lady that helped at our wedding reception- she has some fabulous dance moves and was the bringer of bread, so she’s top notch in my book. Let be start off by saying, that hiring Design Studio South was the best choice I could have made. We hired Alysse and her wonderful team for our month of wedding planner. She couldn't have made our day any more special... and PERFECT! When I say perfect, literally I mean it. Not a single thing went wrong. I’m actually sad that its over. I wished you could get married more than once, because it was the perfect experience, and I know that if I had Alysse, it would be perfect. I can go on and on about how amazing DSS, but I want to tell you why I think they are the absolute best…
We live in Atlanta, and our wedding was in Savannah. So we figured we would need help with it being out of town. Even before the "month" I found myself emailing her for something... she was on top of everything from the start, and so organized. Alysse is not only an amazing planner, she’s an amazing woman and she loves what she does. Planning weddings and amazing events are what she was born to do.
I had over a year and a half to plan the wedding and within that time frame I bought a lot of “wedding décor”. I bought everything… literally, I had no rentals. I had so much wedding décor that I had to make a 27 page “Story Board” and take inventory, and pictures of everything I had. At this point I started to feel really bad for Alysse, knowing that the day of the wedding they were going to have to unpack it and put it out then pack it back up after the wedding. After 2 truck loads of décor down to Savannah… Alysse and her team were on it. She didn’t blink an eye. The day of the wedding she was with us from start, early in the morning to late at night . I had nothing to worry about what so ever. While the bridesmaids and myself were getting ready, she was at the venue working her fingers to the bone (she would even check on us throughout the day). When I got to the venue I was amazed, I was in awe because it was even more beautiful then I had on my “Storyboard”. Everything was out displayed like I imagined and the wedding was finally put together. It’s because Alysse, and her team really went above and beyond from start to finish. My only wish is that Alysse joined working with me as much as I enjoyed her. In the future, when I look back at my wedding day I can say that it was perfect, and that’s what your wedding is suppose to be.
If I can give you any advice, it would be to hire Design Studio South. They made my most important day of my life, the best day of my life.

The planners from Design Studio South, especially Tristan, were a joy to work with. She went above and beyond the scope of what was expected by the bride and our family. They are a "newer" Wedding Planning company here in beautiful Savannah. Most of the 130 people attending the wedding were from out-of-state. Everyone was so impressed by how beautiful the venue was and the decor that Tristan and her team put together. It was exactly what my daughter had requested for her special day. We also had an awesome photographer, Happy Bloom, a fantastic Band, The Sapphire Bullets of Pure Love and wonderful food from Starland Catering. If you are thinking of a destination wedding, Savannah is great and the planners at Design Studio South are the best!
We hired Alysse as a week of coordinator but she went above and beyond her responsibilities. From the moment we met her, she was super sweet to respond quickly to my emails and give her best advice on vendors, and general wedding coordination. She created a wonderful timeline not only for the vendors but for my bridal party! The day of the wedding her assistant came to the house to check on myself and the bridesmaids. She was very accommodating in doing anything I needed. I created most of the wedding decor my-self. Alysse set up the ceremony and reception decor exactly how I imagined. It was absolutely beautiful. There were a few moments where Alysse was quick to think when something went wrong. When I forgot my vow book, she found my phone and printed out my vows and taped inside my husband vow book, so no one knew! When our videographer had to leave early, she came up with a couple different options for us to get the most out of the situation. The day went smoothly, and if it didn't, Alysse didn't let me know! I would highly recommend Alysse! It was a pleasure working with her and her team. Our wedding was more than we imagined and it couldn't have been done with out her!
Tristan was our planner and truly put together the day of my dreams! We used DSS for their more extensive-coordination package (they offer a variety depending on your needs), which was perfect considering I live in Chicago and was getting married in Savannah.
Tristan has great relationships with many amazing Savannah wedding vendors, which is invaluable. She gave us lots of options at lots of price points, which is always appreciated. DSS provides some services in-house (like graphic design, welcome bags, etc) which is helpful but might not be the cheapest option.
Tristan was very understanding and patient with me (as a new bride with literally no idea what I wanted and hundreds of miles away!), and by the end, became more of a friend than anything. She has an incredible design aesthetic and eye for special details- trust me, your wedding will be magazine-worthy if you use her ideas!
I am a very type-A (some might say bossy or controlling…haha) individual-- and the day of my wedding, I had zero worries about leaving absolutely everything in Tristan's hands. That is pretty much the highest compliment that I can give!
Overall-- if you are looking for an enthusiastic partner to help plan the day of your dreams--I cannot recommend Tristan enough!
