Design to Flourish

Kelli is extraordinary. She asked all the right questions to develop our design vision and then implemented that vision with creativity and technical perfection. Kelli has her systems down pat, which makes life super easy for the client. It was very easy to share proofs with my family and Kelli turned around requests very fast. I'd like to share two experiences that show what a gem Kelli is. First, we wanted our specialty cocktails to be named after neighborhoods where we'd lived and we wanted the signage to reflect the character of those neighborhoods. With those vague instructions, Kelli nailed it. We will cherish her custom illustrations of those neighborhood-inspired cocktails forever. Second, we asked Kelli to develop some last-minute signage to show guests that there were blankets available during an unexpectedly-cold ceremony. Kelli proposed the language, "To have and to hold in case you get cold," which was just perfect. And she executed that sign (and some other last-minute, weather-related signage) without a hitch, even though it was just days before the event. To sum, we are so grateful that we found Kelli and I cannot recommend her more highly!

Design to Flourish is amazing! I can't recommend them enough. We got married on May 19, 2022 and had to plan our wedding in 5 months due to cancelling our original destination wedding because of Covid. Kelli Coyle was extremely accommodating. Her process to work towards your vision is very easy to follow and she really doesn't need a ton guidance - to understand what you're looking for. She sends proofs of everything before going to print and quickly makes any edits for your final approval. Everything turned out beautiful and very well priced!

The good: Kelli has a keen eye for design and does some beautiful work, including some at our wedding. The concept for the seating chart was her design, and I also loved our bar sign with the custom dog illustration and our custom favors sign (both of which are in our home today). She also offered some pretty rentals for our invites flatlay, which we took advantage of. The not-so-good: However, I never felt like a priority during the time we worked together (my engagement was only 2.5 months, so I felt a sense of urgency she never quite seemed to feel). I would often write 3-5 emails to get a single response. At times, she took more than a week to write a short reply, which was stressful given that the time period was so short. While I would respond within hours if she ever needed approval and put a lot of thought into the shared Google doc we worked in together, I did not receive the same respect back (I get that she has other weddings, but I also work full time and didn't have a planner). Ultimately, she charged a lot, right down to billing for individual easels for signs, and was invoicing DURING the wedding weekend because she was not responsive when I communicated about changes weeks before. She did not deliver the vision I had tried to communicate in person, via email, and via the Google doc. 1) We had discussed individual menus on blush paper with moss ink, in person. Instead, she put one small menu per table that had to be passed around and was almost illegible because it was white ink on light blush paper. 2) The wooden sign hanging on the back of my husband's chair had the ribbon snap and the sign break within a couple hours of delivery. 3) Worst of all, the seating chart, labeled "Our Favorite People," omitted an entire table of guests who had traveled out of state to be there, and when we went around to greet guests we had to explain why they weren't included! As we had only 50 guests, this was a noticeable and embarassing error. 4) Lastly, the order of events sign was broken almost immediately upon arrival, like so early that no one got even a single photo of it. I still don't know if it was her fault or the venue's, so I did not even address it when I contacted her afterwards. The other thing that was very disappointing is that I told the coordinator at my venue how upset I was about the seating chart, and she communicated that to Kelli. Yet, I waited 3 days after the wedding to contact her and she never reached out and apologized on her own. Once I contacted her, she apologized (because I had told her when we met in person that calligraphy was one of my top 3 wedding priorities and really important to me to get right). She offered some amends, but considering how much I tried to help her get it right beforehand and how many contact attempts I made to confirm details only to be ignored, it was very frustrating to have the one day where it mattered be treated with such disregard. We also did not try to negotiate price at all and paid all 4 invoices without questions. I thought long and hard about whether to write this review given her apology, but ultimately, because weddings are such a one-shot-to-get-it-right industry, I wanted fellow brides who are spending thousands to have access to my experience. Yes, she CAN do some beautiful work IF she decides you are worth prioritizing; we paid a lot of money for a lot of mistakes at our wedding.

To me design matters so much - hopefully to people here as well! From the first touchpoint of the wedding (saves the dates, invites) to the last (favors and thank yous), design really pulls it all together. I loved working with Kelli. She quickly understood our vision and taste and made everything so easy, including printing and delivery!! She also accommodated later-notice items like a custom wine label and personalized note cards for our guests. I truly love her work and cant wait to work with her again. Highly highly recommend.

Kelli is creative, patient, easy to work with...she’s your go to gal for all things stationery related! We used her for our daughter’s wedding reception recently and were so pleased with her creativity and everything she did. You can “kind of” have an idea about something and she can take your “kind of” idea and make it a beautiful reality! She is very creative and helped us with several ideas. She did our bar menus, menus, table cards and seating chart. Very pleased with the design, color coordination, special touches, etc. We highly recommend!

Kelli is your go-go-gal for all your paper needs: table numbers, menu cards, seating chart, bar signs, welcome signage, etc. etc. etc. Kelli is an artist with great attention to detail and an eye for design. She helped us create a cohesive stationery look for our big day and made the entire design and proofing process easy and efficient. I could not recommend her enough!

I worked with Kelli for many of the details of my wedding day! We started with my custom invitation suite where she helped bring my black+white classic yet modern vision come to life with pops of green and velvet. It was perfect modern and luxurious! She carried those same details and theme throughout my wedding day by making me a custom canvas welcome sign, dinner and bar menu, table numbers that incorporated same/similar fonts, design elements and color scheme. She also helped build a very important piece for us that was our escort wall to honor my late father in law. It turned out PERFECT! She was a great communicator, professional, helpful when I needed suggestions and overall just does beautiful work!!! Look no further if you are looking for something who can pretty much bring any vision of yours to life and make your wedding day that much more special!!! My wedding day would not have been complete without the details she designed for us!!! So grateful for her talent!

Kelli was wonderful! Our daughter had a wedding planned for April 2020 which sadly was postponed due to Austin's Covid gathering restrictions. Following a cancelled August 2020 California elopement (due to forest fires), we ended up having a parents/sibling-only backyard wedding which did not require Kelli's services. Kelli was flexible and gracious in extending what we'd paid on deposits (NOT what we experienced with three other vendors) until our larger event, a Marriage Celebration, was able to take place on May 1, 2021. For this event, she did table numbers, bar signage, guest book signage, head table place cards, a welcome sign, and a seating chart and was flexible with any last-minute changes. She was so kind and understanding, and everything she did was beautiful! If we had another daughter, we would use Kelli for her wedding as well! She comes with our highest recommendation possible!

Kelli designed beautiful place cards for my wedding. She was incredibly patient and accommodating. Her cards were my FAVORITE part of my wedding :D i highly recommend using her services. The communication and shipping were both prompt and professional.

Kelli is the best! With only a few months before the wedding, she was so prompt and worked with my crazy design! I cannot recommend her enough. She even illustrated the cutest map for us. If you want beautiful signage and menus for your guests to keep forever, she is your girl!

From the moment I saw these place cards, I knew I had to have them! They are so unique, and are a nice change from other place cards out there. The calligraphy styles offered are beautiful, and work well alongside my other wedding details. Kelli followed up with my guest names immediately after receiving my order, and was very responsive to questions via email. The place cards are absolutely gorgeous! I love how unique each and everyone is. The calligraphy is beautiful.They will be wonderful keepsakes for our wedding guests! Kelli’s communication was wonderful throughout the process. She spent time double checking and confirming the spelling on some of the names. The place cards arrived beautifully wrapped. I cannot say enough about my excellent experience with Kelli!!

Wow! My wife and I contacted Kelli to make custom signage for our wedding, and we were blown away by the finished product. She is an exceptionally skilled artist, and her timeliness and responsiveness made our experience memorable. We presented an idea to Kelli, and she quickly sent back drafts and proposals with a quote. She guided us through her process and came up with a brilliant direction with which to take our project. Her production time was fast, and she shipped our item securely. Kelli created a unique piece that's now hanging proudly in our home, and we will certainly return to her in the future to create one-of-a-kind gifts. I certainly will recommend her emphatically to our friends that are starting in the wedding planning process.

Kelli created 2 beautiful personalized wedding signs, a welcome sign and seating arrangement, for our daughter's wedding. She incorporated the wedding monogram into the welcome sign mirror with the couple's name and wedding date, and it was the focal point as our guests arrived at the ceremony site. With a floral garland draped across the top, it was absolutely elegant! The full-length mirror seating chart was a special touch during the cocktail hour and also very stylish with a gold frame, a floral motif, and the guests' names listed under the table numbers. Kelli was very easy to work with and her carefully designed artistic signs captured our daughter's vision of a classic, elegant wedding. She was very accommodating when we had to postpone the wedding from the original June date to September because of the corona virus pandemic. She also delivered the signs to the wedding venue and retrieved them at the conclusion of the reception. We would most definitely recommend Kelli's very artistic talents for your wedding!!

I ordered 22 terra-cotta name cards for our wedding in October. They arrived in perfect condition; obvious care was put into packaging them so they would not damage or break in transit. Can not wait to use them, they have the perfect bohemian vibe and go great with our fall colour scheme. Each piece is unique and the writing is beautiful!
