We hired Design Works for our wedding. The flowers were absolutely stunning!!! Wish communication was better leading up to the wedding.
We loved working with Jackie from Design Works Flowers for our wedding. She truly made our vision come to life and worked with us to stay within our budget range. All of the arrangements were beautiful, many guests complimented them. I would definitely recommend Design Works for your wedding!
Used them for the only really flowers I had at my wedding. The flowers were beautiful and fit in very well with our colors. Also appreciated how they labeled everything, so family members knew which flowers belonged to them.
Awesome!! Put together everything in less then a week!! Over a week old now and the flowers still look good!!!
Laura did a wonderful job accommodating me for my wedding. I had white hydrangeas for my bridesmaids and a clutch bouquet that had creme roses and hydrangeas wrapped in a beautiful silk ribbon. Lovely! Thank you Laura!
Short and sweet: flowers delivered were closed and not open, terrible customer service, inability to account for errors
Long story:
I chose this flower shop because it was 5 minutes from my venue and it was the most affordable. But convenience aside, we got what we paid for. I only had a few requirements regarding the flowers: a full bouquet of white roses for me and simple centerpieces to match. The mock up went great! The florist showed me a centerpiece with full open roses just like the pictures I had shown her. But come the wedding day, the bouquets had roses that were barely open. My bouquet of roses looked like a bouquet of tulips instead. The bridesmaids' bouquets had roses sticking up over the plane of the hydrangeas which made them look awkward. The centerpieces had roses that were also closed, not at all what was shown to us for the mock up. We contacted the store and was told that those were the most open white roses they had and that due to the humidity the roses would open by the time the ceremony started. The thing is, my ceremony and reception was all indoor and thus had minimal humidity. Sadly, the roses did not bloom fully until 5 days after my wedding. The woman on the phone would not admit fault nor would she send someone 5 minutes down the street to where we were to fix the bridesmaids' bouquets. The first reason for refusing was that they would make a mess in the hotel, I told them I didn't mind cleaning up after them as long as they got the job done. Then they quickly said they were too busy and they had another wedding to work on. It's a shame that they think being too busy is a valid excuse for shoddy workmanship. I should have gone with a different florist who would've known what they were doing.
I worked with Laura for my centerpieces. She completed a "mock" centerpiece for us a month before our wedding and she completely embraced our vision. We did a few tweeks and we were completely blown away when we walked into our ceremony. Everything was absolutely stunning and it was exactly what we wanted!!! She did our cake flowers (I gave her a picture and it was exactly correct) and she did corsages for the mothers. Thank you Laura and Design Works Flowers!!!!!!!
Gorgeous flowere! They followed my idea and the flowers were beautiful. My flowers lasted for about 3 weeks after my wedding as well in a vase which I was very happy about :) very reasonable price for the great quality.
Design Works did my bouquet, my maid-of-honors bouquet, babies breath bunches for aisle decorations, and sprigs of rosemary for the napkin holders. Everything was absolutely perfect.
My mother and I went in for a consultation about 3 months before the wedding. The woman was so friendly and helped us figure out exactly what we were looking for. I had picture references for what I wanted for the bouquets because it was somewhat untraditional (sort of what is trendy on pinterest right now) and she said depending on what was in season at the time, she should be able to put something together as similar as possible to what I showed her. It ended up being perfect, even better than what I expected!
We told her the ideas for the babies breathe and rosemary and she ordered what she thought would be right for it. The babies breath bunches were the perfect size for what we wanted to use them for, and the rosemary bunches worked out very well as well.
We were extremely happy with everything and are very glad we chose Design Works Flowers. :)
So personal and very detailed!
The owner is amazing! My flowers were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. Jackie is extremely talented and the price is SO reasonable for the quality and detail she provides. Thank you so much for making my day beautiful!!
It was a bit over priced. I had to call and make sure everything was set more than a few times. I went in to go pay the rest of my balance and she didn't add in the tax and cost me more than I thought. She charged me $7 for a single remembrance rose for my deceased father in law, I thought that was ridiculous. When I went in it was a little chaotic and a bit unorganized. I never got their emails and so they had to forward them to my fiancé so I knew what was on the list, which was wrong up until the week before the wedding. My boquet was smaller than I hoped for it to be and flowers fell out right after the ceremony was over. Very disappointed.
The owner was the one who helped me with the my flowers and she was amazing! I had to have changed my order 5 times and it was no problem at all. She accommodated me in other ways other local florists didn't (she put together mock centerpieces for me prior to me putting down a deposit). I was very happy with how everything turned out and how helpful the staff was. I would recommend this florist to anyone!
The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I don't know much about flowers and they were able to take the theme of our wedding and pull together beautiful flowers fr the center pieces and bouquets! I was very impressed, everything was better than I could have imagined.
I absolutely loved my bridal bouquet. The bridesmaids bouquets were very nice as well, just not the colors I was hoping for. They were easy to work with, available for communication, and everything was delivered on time. Great job!
I only did my bouquets and boutonnieres through the florist. They were all beautiful and very hardy. Only one bouquet lost a flower and that was my roughest bridesmaid's bouquet! I walked in the florist shop barely knowing what I wanted, very unsure. But I walked out of my first appointment with confidence that we found the right flowers and fillers in the colors I wanted at the right price point. The shop and the staff is very welcoming and one of the few places I didn't dread going to during the planning process! Not the cheapest place, but right on par with most other florists.
Found the florist through my venues preferred vendor list and it became clear quickly why this florist is a preferred vendor. They are professional, considerate and really listen.
The florist brought my floral vision to life. We spoke several times (in person and via phone) to tweak the ideas and be sure I stayed close to my budget. When my husband and I walked into the ballroom and saw the centerpieces and the flowers on top of our wedding cake, we were blown away. Also, the ceremony flowers, including bouquets, were fresh and lasted all day/night.
