We had our daughter’s wedding cake, cake pops and cheesecake made at Dessert Works. The cake was absolutely beautiful and everyone commented at how wonderful it looked and tasted. The cake pops were a huge hit and the cheesecake was delicious! Sandy was a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend this bakery!

Our venue suggested them as a vendor. When I say there was no cake left from our wedding I mean it! Everyone talked about how great it was and how it stayed moist. Sandy is also the sweetest! My cake topper got left behind and she kept it for me for a few weeks till I could get back to get it. Seriously so sweet to work with! Also get the white chocolate buttercream, you’ll thank me!

We loved our cake from DessertWorks! The owner, Sandy, is great to work with and very talented. Not only did our cake TASTE amazing, the design exceeded our expectations too! We got married in 2020 during the pandemic and she thought of everything- the cake had a clear "COVID cover" for display. Today we picked up a cake for our first anniversary ❤. I think a cake from DessertWorks may be a yearly tradition.

Sandy was wonderful to work with. We knew her cakes were delicious but were amazed by the artistry of her design. We wanted simple elegant and the cake surpassed our expectations.

We were lucky to have DessertWorks included as our wedding cake vendor when booking our ceremony and reception venue! We first met Sandy for a pandemic friendly drive-thru cake tasting. She was so pleasant to work with and very accommodating fully customizing our wedding cake vision and tastes. We were so pleased with our wedding cake in every way! We will be back to order for other occasions, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, etc...

Sandy was amazing. My husband and I met working at Kings Island. We had a vision of having a drop tower themed cake and she did everything she could to help bring that vision to life. She went above and beyond to decorate our cake to make our day extra special. The cake and fillings were amazing but the icing was the best part (and I'm not even an icing person!). The tasting was quick, fun, and easy. She was very easy to get ahold of with questions when we had them. She even assisted us in creating a groom's cake as a surprise for my husband. She made a special Boston cream pie for him as the top of his groom's cake. Prices were so reasonable, especially for such an amazing cake. We heard from so many of our guests about how amazing our cake was and they wanted to know where we ordered from. If you need cake for ANY occasion, then you should get it from her. I'm excited to order all of our cakes and cupcakes from her in the future.

The wedding cake and groom's cake looked amazing! Even my sister-in-law, who worked for an out-of-state bakery, said it was the best cake she has ever eaten. She ate 2 pieces of the raspberry cake with raspberry filling. Numerous guests asked me where we ordered our cake. It was both creative and delicious! It received rave reviews.

My daughter’s wedding cake was wonderful and so Beautiful! She requested another raspberry swirl cake with the traditional icing for their 2nd wedding anniversary this month❤️. Picking out their wedding cake was so much fun and they made the whole process seamless and worry free for my daughter!

Our cake was beautiful and delicious! Many guests commented on the unusual flavors (red velvet and caramel swirls) and the delicious white chocolate buttercream frosting. We had a simple cake much like the one on the front page of this section with white ‘bark finish’ frosting and fresh flowers. Elegant and perfect! Delivery was on time and the cake stand we borrowed was beautiful. I will definitely use DessertWorks again when the need arises!

Our wedding day was so perfect and it wouldn't have been so without the help from Sandy at DessertWorks! We've had three other friends get married within a year from us and have all used DessertWorks as well. Definitely a tough competition between the raspberry mouse vanilla cake and the cookies and cream cake. They were both so delicious. Wouldnt recommend anyone else!!!

Sandy at Dessertworks Cakery is the best in the business. She’s professional, friendly, talented and most of all - she’s creative and enthusiastic. We tried many cakes in the area - they were all delicious... but Sandy? She sold us on her creativity, enthusiasm and ability to bake the most delicious treats that matched our fairyland theme. She’s amazing. You can’t get a better cake vendor anywhere.

AMAZING! The cake was truly the best wedding cake I have ever had! Not only that but Sandy was so amazing to work with and helped my dream wedding come to life and debuted her COVID cover at my wedding so that I could display my cake for all my guests to see. The cake was a work of art, and it tasted absolutely delicious. Sandy was a delight. In the time of the pandemic, having a kind hearted vendor was especially important and Dessertworks Cakery went above and beyond all expectations. At our initial consultation, we made the decision about the design and flavors of the cake. When the original date had to be changed, Sandy made the switch with us offering her condolences and support the entire way. When the original venue canceled on us, and we had to find a new location. Sandy again offered support and encouragement. After finding a new venue but needing to cut the guest list by 2/3, Sandy downsized the cake order too and she designed a barrier to allow the cake to be visible yet protected from the guests. It looked amazing. Dessertworks has lots of cake flavors but we stayed traditional. Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling, white cake with a lemon filling, and strawberry with a strawberry cream filling. They were all fantastic. I would definitely recommend Dessertworks not only for their delicious cakes, but for their excellent customer service.

I met with this vendor about a year ago for my wedding cake. They were originally included in the contract for my venue. The owner originally contacted me on the phone to set up the tasting and from the start she was rude to me on the phone. I expressed to her potentially doing cake pops and she told me she didn’t like them so she wouldn’t make them and kind of made fun of them. She gave me a couple of days we could meet after I told her our schedule. I told her I didn’t think I could make them work, because they were not compatible with my schedule, but I’d talk to my fiancé. A few days later I called to tell her we couldn’t move forward with her because my fiancé and I couldn’t meet during her store availability. She then offered a time on Mother’s Day. I told her that should work but I’d have to see when my family was celebrating that day and she responded “What? Are you going to spend the entire day with your mother?” I was taken aback. She then backtracked and said I should invite my mom to celebrate, etc. So, on the day we met, I explained that maybe we could have donuts and then a cutting cake. She proceeded to tell me how donuts were a bad idea and that no one would eat them at the wedding. She then mentioned they didn’t make them (which would have been a much more valid reason). We started talking about the wedding cake and I kept explaining

DesserWorks Cakery did an amazing job on our wedding cakes! I was a more traditional bride and wanted to have an old fashioned fountain cake. Because our wedding was in December and we were having a Christmas theme, we were wanting to have green water in the fountain. Our cake stole the show! It was beyond beautiful and anything that I could have ever have imagined. We also had a University of Kentucky grooms cake that looked and tasted great, as well as a Cincinnati Reds cake. They were all beautiful! I would highly recommend DessertWorks Cakery for your wedding!

Our experience at Dessert Works was flawless! The tasting was beyond incredible, it was so hard to choose our favorite flavors! She was kind enough to even give us a second tasting when we came in and completely changed our cake design - which looked stunning as better than we even envisioned! Can’t recommend Dessert Works enough! Will definitely be back for future cakes.

DessertWorks did the cake for my 1st daughter's wedding in 2016 and so we naturally came to her when our 2nd daughter was planning her wedding. The owner, Sandy, worked with us to design not only a beautiful cake, but a full dessert table as well. My daughter wanted a decadent chocolate dessert table and Sandy did not disappoint, with brownies, chocolate tortes, chocolate mousse bombs, cream puffs, chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate cheesecake bars and so many other desserts, in addition to a beautiful four tiered white chocolate buttercream cake. Our friends and family still giggle and roll their eyes at the opulence of the offering. We've already told our 3rd daughter don't even look anywhere else. DessertWorks is it for us!

Sandy was extremely nice to work with for my daughter's wedding cake! My daughter and now son-in-law live out of town, so I did all the conversing with Sandy. The guests commented on how good the cake tasted. My daughter and son -in-law chose different flavors and Sandy was able to accommodate both of them.

DessertWorks truly knows how to take care of a bride and groom. From the tasting to the wedding, my husband and I were treated really well with any selections or changes made to our cake. Our wedding cake was so delicious, we ate it the very same week we got married last year! We loved that everything was made from scratch! I am typically not a fan of buttercream, but the freshly made Buttercream frosting absolutely melts in your mouth. We were so happy to go with DessertWorks and so flattered by the amount of compliments we received on our cake from wedding guests. Even our DJ was so excited we used DessertWorks! He bribed us for a piece of chocolate cake for an extra song! We hope to make DessertWorks cakes an anniversary tradition!

The cake was one of my husband's favorite thing about our wedding, he still talks about it to this day! Sandy was able to pull off exactly what I was looking for and was so helpful and flexible throughout the process. They have so many options for a reasonable price and we were excited have out of the normal selections for our cake. We can't wait to try it again!

Our wedding day was a very rainy day. Our cake however arrived perfect. The ladies at DessertWorks were very helpful in choosing how it looked and all the flavors were great. Everyone loved the cake flavors especially the chocolate cake with peanut butter filling.

Our cake was so amazing! We tried several different bakeries as my mother was insistent on having "good cake". They worked with us to make our vision a reality, and provided options and suggestions on style, flavors and so much more! We ended up with funfetti/raspberry filling; chocolate chip/chocolate filling; and almond/amaretto filling. I got tons of great feedback on how good the cake was and we will definitely be back in the future for the big events in our life!

Our experience with dessert Works Cakery was amazing from start to finish. We went in for a tasting to decide flavors and it was our favorite part of the wedding planning process. They made it so easy and seamless. They offer so many flavors that allow you to make your own unique combination to make the perfect wedding cake. They even show you albums of past cakes they have made to give you an idea for designs you may like. They also offer buttercream or whites chocolate icing as a choice. The white chocolate icing really adds an extra flare to the cake. Everyone at the wedding loved the cake as much as we did. I was nervous that the cake could be dry the day of the wedding since many wedding cakes I have seem to have this happen, but it was not the case with Dessert Works . It was moist and tasted exactly how it did at our tasting . I plan to recommend dessert works to anyone planning a wedding and plan to use them in the future for other events .

I wish I could give Dessertworks 10 stars! My husband and I loved working with staff at Dessertworks. The cake and their flavor selection is fantastic! We got married on 5/20/18 and almost a year later our guests still talk about how good the wedding cake was. Definitely recommend using them for your wedding!

I could not believe how gorgeous my cake looked! It was absolutely perfect and wow’d everyone in the room! The taste was beyond incredible as well. At most wedding I’ve been to there’s been tons of leftover cake. Our was completely devoured and had our guests raving about it!

Sandy always delivers! She has made other special occasion cakes for me as well as my daughters wedding cake in October. Delicious and moist layers of cake and her buttercream frosting is the best! The cake exactly as my daughter requested and beautifully decorated!

Loved DessertWorks!! From the cake testing to the cake cutting, my experience was perfect. I loved how she took the time to sit down with me to develop my cake and didn't rush me when tasting all the delicious flavors! (Really though, ALL the flavors were so incredibly good!) My anniversary cake was phenomenal as well- so thankful to have a fresh cake instead of a piece of cake from the back of my freezer. I would use DessertWorks again without hesitation!

Sandy (owner) designed my cake and cupcakes for my wedding. The cake was beautiful and delicious. My guest loved it and still rave about it. I am constantly asked where we got our cake and desserts from. Sandys experience and passion definitely made her stand out in comparison to the other cake bakers we tried. She was so sweet and welcoming. She truly loves what she does. I would recommend to anyone.

Sandy was amazing to work with! She was friendly and very helpful when we went in for our cake tasting. We ended up going with a raspberry swirl for one layer and the chocolate chip cake for the other layer. The chocolate chip cake is AMAZING!! I highly recommend using DessertWorks-- they are great!

We LOVED Sandy! Bad from the start. I had sent emails to a bunch of different cake bakeries in the area. Being a busy coach during season and working non business hours, it’s hard for me to call to make appointments. So I sent an email stating “I was wondering if I could schedule a cake tasting on Tuesday, May 8th at 5pm. It would be for 2 people. Email is best form of communication but I can also be reached at (my phone number)”. I got a reply saying “Hi Morgan and thank you for your interest in DessertWorks Cakery! I have the 5:30 appointment available on May 8th. Before we book your appointment though, I need to know your wedding date, reception site and approximate headcount to insure we have the day available. If you get a minute, send me that info and if we're available, I'll put you on the books for a consultation! Thanks! Sandy Sandra Wilkerson-Lehn, Owner DessertWorks Cakery” My reply was “Hello Sandy, My wedding will be at (my venue) on (my date) of 2019. We are estimating a count of 175 people for the wedding.Thanks!” I never heard back. Seeing as I provided the information asked and she stated “If you get a minute, send me that info and if we're available, I'll put you on the books for a consultation” I put the day and time in my calendar for the appointment. My fiancé drove through rush hour an hour and 15 minutes to be told that we didn’t have an appointment and I never called to create one. NOT ONCE DID SHE STATE IN THE EMAIL OR ANYWHERE ELSE THAT I HAD TO CALL TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT. So when I showed the email, which I said sounded like a confirmation, she gave me sass and said “well I don’t have cake for you but I can go through my spiel”. No. I simply said I could go with my other options and left. Way to waste my time. As they say, if the communication is poor from the start, it’s only going to get worse.

Dessertworks did the cake at a recent wedding I attended at the Krippendorf Lodge. The cake was beautiful and delicious. The accompanying dessert bar was equally spectacular and they were very tasty. I would highly recommend Dessertworks.

Sandy did an AMAZING job on our wedding cake. My husband and I wanted a unique cake for our Marvel themed wedding and Sandy delivered. She even went as far to purchase a rotating cake stand to make our cake stand out even more.
