Destinations Found

Of all the vendors I expected would give me stress and frustration, I never expected this from our wedding planner. Isn't a wedding planner's sole job to alleviate stress and increase the ease of a wedding? Destinations Found LITERALLY did the opposite. We first booked Destinations Found as a day-of-coordinator and, after paying the deposit - BAM! No contact. Emails went without response. Questions went unanswered. Radio silence. My family and I were confused. Yes, our wedding was months away. Was she busy? Was she putting her focus on weddings that were sooner? What if we upgrade her from a day-of-coordinator to an actual wedding planner? Surely, the additional 3 grand would ensure that we get the attention and time we desired. So, deposit paid. And - BAM. NO CHANGE. Emails and calls and texts are sent into a black void. The months crawl on. I research and book all the vendors myself. I construct gift bags and decor. I keep track of my budget - all things that were promised to be provided by Destinations Found under their contract. And we begin to get worried. My plan to hike the Long Trail (which takes about a month) is beginning to concern me. I can't figure out what it was we paid for. At this point, I've put in so much work, I might as well be planning it myself. Who am I supposed to tell the vendors to contact while I'm in the woods? I finally learn that apparently texting her is the best way to reach her. I pass her number on to my mother-in-law (who has also been working really hard with me to plan the wedding) and go backpacking for a month. When I return, I learn that Jessica had been rude to my mother-in-law, who has literally been doing Jessica's job! You'd think after years of working in the industry she'd understand how to deal with clients professionally, but nope! And had Jessica done anything? At all? For my wedding in a month? Not really! She made a timeline, something that appeared boiler-plate with me and my fiancé's names copied and pasted in. At this point vendors are contacting ME and asking me who's running the show. I keep passing Jessica's name and number along and hear from them that even the vendors can't get in touch with her. I'm worried. Maybe I'd done too much planning myself? Maybe I hadn't been explicit with what I needed from her for this event. So, a week before the wedding, I give her a very explicit task: we need a generator. We need it by next week. And we need it to last the night of the reception. Did she deliver? Absolutely not. Thankfully my mother-in-law's brother had a generator and the tent company was able to provide one as well. Once again, my in-laws pull through to fill the gaps made by this absent wedding planner. She wasn't present at my wedding. She sent along two other people I didn't know. They were twenty minutes late for the rehearsal and we ended up telling THEM what was going on. No one was in charge. If anyone was, it was the DJ. (Talena with Premier Events is a gem.) Please, everyone on TheKnot, save your money. Do not book with Destinations Found. Jessica Fuster's inattentiveness and unprofessionalism is simply not worth it. It almost feels illegal. I could list numerous points in the contract that she failed to deliver on, but most of the measures protect her interests, not yours. At NO point did I feel like a priority. At all. I STILL don't know what exactly it was that I'd paid for. Learn from my mistakes and find another planner.

The positives I can say about Jessica are that she showed up and decorated for both days and that she sorted out a late night pizza issue that arose a few days before our wedding. The rest is, unfortunately, quite negative. We were left feeling as though she didn't really value us or our wedding the way you would want a planner to. Our amazing families and friends ensured that our weekend turned out beautiful despite our planner issues. The Negatives 1. Communication: This is the biggest issue we had with Jessica. There were often emails that went unanswered for weeks, despite numerous follow ups from us. When we did get responses, they were often incomplete. We had to have multiple conversations where we voiced our displeasure with the lack of communication, were told it would be better, but then didn't see any follow through. Despite having weekly calls scheduled, we routinely had to email and call Jessica and leave multiple voicemails (because her phone always goes to voicemail) after the calls were supposed to start in order to get meeting links sent to us. Multiple occasions where she just didn't reply to any of those emails or calls so our weekly meetings ended up not happening. Her phone went straight to voicemail during the wedding weekend as well. Had to send people to search for her in order to actually get any answers from her during the wedding weekend. She did not even take the time to seek out or check in with my wife until just before the reception (day 2 of events that we had hired her for). 2. Follow through and attention to detail: was also a major problem. We were promised renderings of what the decorations would look like as well as florals, but never received any of those. Jessica helped arranged shuttles for our guests, didn't really look at the timings so ended up having the company send us schedules that would have had our guests arriving an hour after our events were scheduled to start. My wife and I caught those mistakes and made the changes with the company. We wanted childhood photos to be placed at the tables during the reception and printed out the photos, but Jessica never attempted to get those photos from us to actually put out. Our guest book was also placed in a corner and the instructions weren’t put out, so very few guests ended up signing it. We also contracted her services for florals and the ones we received did not really resemble the photos we sent. 3. "Coordination": She didn’t really take any initiative to coordinate anything. My wife was basically ready to walk down the aisle and had to ask Jessica about her bouquet before someone got it for her. We purchased dried flower petals packets to give to the children at our wedding so they could throw them as we left the ceremony, but those were never given out. We realized this when our officiant directed the children to line the aisle and no one moved. We had also asked Jessica to arrange for us to get appetizers from the caterers while we were getting ready for the reception. This was also not done. 4. Transparency: After the wedding, we wanted to take a look at the invoices for the florals to see what we paid for to make sure that we weren’t charged for anything that we did not get. We discussed multiple items in the planning process which we did not receive. We never got emailed invoices and the links to the proposals were deactivated. I emailed Jessica twice asking for the itemized invoices and have still not received any reply from her

If I could give zero stars I would. I started working with Destinations Found about 4 months after becoming engaged. From the start, Jessica was unresponsive and consistently took weeks to respond to emails. I was constantly was following up multiple times on emails and when I did finally get responses, I was met with attitude and excuses such as “I apologize BUT”…”I’m understaffed, I’m stretched too thin, we had three weddings this weekend, I’ve been busy” etc. At first, I excused her lack of response on the fact that my wedding was the following year. However, as time went by and my wedding got closer, it became clear that she was never going to put in any effort to do the job that I hired her for and help plan my wedding. I ended up planning my entire wedding myself. To make matters worse, four days before my wedding she emailed saying she was no longer working/attending my wedding. She literally backed out 4 days before our wedding with zero explanation and no apology. She copied in another woman (who works for a completely different company) to take over for her. I have since called and emailed her and have been ignored. She is now completely ghosting me after taking our money and not providing the services she was contracted for. I come from a catering and events background and have worked a lot of weddings myself and I can say Jessica is the most unprofessional and incompetent person I’ve ever worked with. I HIGHLY recommend NOT hiring Jessica from Destinations Found wedding planning. All she will do is cause you stress.

Jessica and her team are excellent! Throughout the planning process we were able to meet via zoom and email to work out details. During the last month, Jessica was especially helpful with taking over vendor communication, figuring out our wedding day schedule, and answering any last minute questions. We had a very hectic wedding weekend and had to change venues last minute, which we absolutely would not have been able to do without Destinations Found! Highly recommend

We highly recommend Destinations Found. We worked with Hayley, who is amazing! We ended up hiring Destinations Found because our venue was short staffed. We had a lot of issues with our venue, but Hayley handled all our problems for us. We could not have done it without her. Our rehearsal went off without a hitch because of Hayley. She was direct and professional, as well as fun and kind. She did all of our set up on the day of the wedding on her own. She created a detailed wedding timeline, which all of our vendors appreciated. Hayley also took care of reaching out to all of the vendors two weeks prior to the wedding, which was extremely helpful and alleviated stress from us. During the ceremony and reception, Hayley made sure everything happened according to plan. Everything went smoothly. She attended to all of the details, big and small, to make sure our day was as we imagined. Hayley flawlessly coordinated all of the pieces of our wedding day. She truly felt like part of our wedding family. We could not thank her enough. We highly recommend her and Destinations Found.

Jessica was amazing. So much fun to work with her and her team and it made the entire planning and event feel effortless. The event itself was well beyond our expectations.

Jessica and her team are the absolute best! I don’t even know where to begin… Im so incredibly grateful for her. She’s calm and collected. Whenever I thought something needed to be done she was already on it and it was already completed. She made the whole year, week, and day leading up to my wedding a breeze. I wish I had her in my every day life!

Working with Haley on our wedding day was exactly what we needed! We went into wedding planning without a planner and things were going great. After attending a few weddings where minor timeline issues occurred or things werent quite up to the couple's expectations, we knew we needed a planner. Haley literally was our own personal assistant for the day-- even running around the hotel for batteries for our goofy props! She really enhanced our wedding day and we are forever grateful!

Hayley at Destinations Found was so fabulous on our wedding day! I was so worried about being pulled in tons of different directions that day and everything I was concerned about Hayley took care of so flawlessly I never even noticed! Planning a wedding is so stressful and having a planner/ month of planner is essential to enjoying your day and ensuring that your investment is something that you can really take it all in! Jessica was an amazing day-of wedding coordinator. I highly recommend her services. She and her team allowed me to have peace-of-mind on my wedding day. I did not have to worry about any minor mishaps or overlooked details. In fact, I somehow managed to bump the end of my flowers against the front of my dress during the ceremony and had an unsightly smudge down the front of my white wedding dress. Jessica seamlessly saved the day with a Tide to-go wipe and the dress was good as new for pictures and dancing the night away. Jessica and her team were behind-the-scenes heroes for our entire day!

My only regret is that I didn’t sign up for full planning. She is an absolute MUST. Jessica was a ROCKSTAR on the day of my wedding, and leading up to it. Let me tell you — I loved planning my wedding. But there was no way my wedding would have gone so smoothly, been everything we wanted, and been so perfect if she hadn’t been there. If you’ve never been a bride, you don’t know exactly what happens on your wedding day. Sure, there are all the normal things — getting ready, maybe a first look, photos, the ceremony and the reception. But there are SO many things happening. People are asking questions, you’re trying to make sure all the things are getting done in the middle of getting your hair done, and somehow there are still things that you need to decide, despite it already being THE DAY OF. This happens *no matter how much planning you do*. She ran the show from start to finish — she was there to guide us through every step of the day. She helped guide our vendors. (I literally didn’t have to answer a single question about vendors on the day of!) She kept things organized and helped reassure me, even though was 15 minutes late. She made sure we ate dinner. She told us how to cut our cake, (something I didn’t even KNOW we needed help with) reminded us to do our garter toss, bouquet toss, and all of the normal traditions. She took care of literally everything. Jess was absolutely essential. And I let her do everything that day — I felt carefree, confident, and the last thing I was thinking about was any sort of timeline. I wasn’t thinking about our entrance or dances or anything. We were able to laugh and dance and enjoy each other and our guests, and she helped keep things naturally moving forward. It was one of the best days of my life. And she’s a huge reason why.

Jessica was fantastic! Able to jump in as a "day of" coordinator and take charge of everything we had planned. It was a large event, and she made everything we asked for happen without any fuss or drama. We were very impressed and super-pleased!

Jessica Fuster of Destinations Found is an amazing wedding planner. She is very experienced and professional. She is a calm and collected captain for a very exciting and high pressure event. She had great connections with other vendors and was very logical and wise about her time and resource management. We also found her to be very pleasant to work with!

Jessica was THE BEST wedding planner I could have asked for! She listened to the vision we had and made it all come true! She had our backs the whole time, reminded us of deadlines coming up, made appointments, kept in contact with us and our vendors, and made sure everything ran smoothly! We live in Texas and made 2 trips up prior to the week before our wedding. We also called on Jessica's expertise for our honeymoon, 2 weeks in Belgium and France. She booked our hotels, made wonderful suggestions on places to stay, things to see, places to eat, etc. We could not have done this without her! She is definitely family now.

Jessica and her crew were amazing and so helpful!! our big day would never have run as smoothly as it did without them! Things like not enough boutonnieres happened and I had absolutely no clue about it until the next day. They were just so amazing and I would never have a wedding without them!!!!!

We used Jessica to plan our anniversary trip to Jamaica and could not have been happier! She went above and beyond and had everything thought out and taken care of! It was the best trip ever!!!!
