Cindy made our day go off without a hitch! It was amazing for myself and our families to not have to worry about anything on the morning when everything is crazy. She did things for us that we never would have realized needed to be done.

Cindy is a truly fantastic wedding planner! She was incredible from our first meeting with her through the day of the wedding. But don't just take my word for it, let me paint a picture for you. Two days before the wedding, I'll be the first to admit that I had a bit of a freakout. I guess you could say my nerves got the better of me. Our rental tent had arrived on our property (the wedding was a homegrown affair), along with dozens of tables, 150 chairs, and countless other items. Looking at the tent with all that stuff under it, I just couldn't picture how we'd seat everyone and make it all fit. Rain was also forecast for the wedding day, meaning we might have to squeeze the ceremony under the tent as well. I called Cindy in a full-on panic and when she sensed how anxious I was feeling, she immediately offered to drive make the 1 hour+ trip out to our house to take a look. She arrived swiftly and ended up staying for hours, going over last minute logistics and in general soothing everyone's nerves. We all agree that Cindy making that emergency trip pulled the whole wedding together...at least in our minds! The day of the wedding, Cindy and her assistant blended in seamlessly and did a beautiful job! It also ended up being a gorgeous day, which certainly helped, but I have no doubt Cindy would have pulled off our wedding even in a total downpour.

My husband and I highly recommend Cindy! She helped make our wedding better than our wildest dreams. Here's a few reasons why: 1. Cindy was so calm and sweet. Talking to her was always a joy and calmed any nerves we had. From the moment we spoke to Cindy on the phone and we heard her excitement and attention, we knew she was the right planner to work with. When we took Cindy to meet with our venue, caterer, and our very opinionated families, she managed the room with her kindness, cooling down any disagreements and we are so grateful! On the day of our wedding, we barely saw her! She was behind the scenes running everything smoothly and making sure we enjoyed. 2. Cindy listened to our needs. We spoke to other planners who wouldn't work within our budget, but Cindy helped us to come up with rentals and florist designs that were below budget and more beautiful than we expected. 3. Cindy was open to learning about the many complicated religious rituals we had in our wedding. She took it all in stride and managed to get every detail straight in an entirely unfamiliar world. She was also super organized, even when dealing with our disorganized venue, and helped us feel confident that all was taken care of. 4. My husband and I are not the creative type. We wanted a cool rustic look, but had no idea how to get there. She helped us think through the colors and floral arrangement that would complete our look! Cindy was the perfect vendor to work with and we had the absolute best time at our wedding thanks so her!

This review is long overdue but much deserved. We write this on our one year anniversary, one year to the date that Cindy helped guide us to the alter. We married in the Dominican Republic, a difficult ask for two people and a wedding planner living in New York and Connecticut, respectively. Nonetheless, Cindy made it happen. We took a trip to DR to speak to and negotiate with vendors and Cindy took charge from day one. Cindy is a hustler, and she's not afraid to low-ball vendors at my discretion; she simply stated that "whatever you ask, I do, with a straight face and a lot of sass". The process wasn't always easy, and we can't underscore how much we appreciate certain sacrifices and challenges that Cindy had to contend with, on a personal matter, leading into the wedding. Our wedding was amazing, the execution was flawless, and our guests walked away super in love with everything that we put together. Cindy, you deserved this review much sooner, but we can't express how grateful we are that we had you as our wedding planner. We could have said this a year ago, but we're saying it today, and we will say it five and ten years from now if we need to vouch for you again. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts, you'll always have a place there.

Cindy was friendly, professional and very accommodating from the start. There is absolutely no way I could have had a successful, well organized wedding without her! Her communication with vendors was crucial to getting everything on point for my big day. Plus she was very attentive to calls and emails which made the process go very smoothly. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a memorable day.

I hired Cindy as my day of wedding planner and I could not have asked for a better person to do the job. She was absolutely amazing and made the day go smoothly for myself and everyone. Even though Cindy was hired as a day of planner she was very much involved before the wedding day. The most important thing for me was to be able to enjoy my wedding day and that was very much accomplished because of Cindy. I was able to spend time with my family and friends, and also relax and have a great time. I would highly recommend her! Cindy Lark made our wedding exactly what we wanted. She's a great listener and understood the nuances we wanted to achieve. She is flexible and creative, and avoids standard wedding templates. She has terrific organizational skills and uses spreadsheets to help with the planning and vendor selection. She was there for all the key planning phases as well as the wedding and helped everything go smoothly and on time. She interfaced smoothly with the vendors and helped negotiate contracts. Her experience in the industry really helped with all the hard and soft aspects of wedding planning. Her fees are reasonable relative to her services and cost savings and she is a real pleasure to work with. I can't recommend her more highly. Thanks Cindy!

Cindy is phenomenal!! I have been working with her for over a year now to create and plan my dream wedding. She has been easy to get in touch with and work with throughout the process. She provided suggestions and listened to all of my husbands and my wishes. My venue was very rigid, and Cindy worked with them as our advocate to save us money and convince them to bend in order to make sure we got what we wanted. She was very organized from the very first day we met through the wedding itself. She helped make sure everything happened on time and smoothly. When there were glitches- I, as the bride, had no idea. Cindy was honestly the best investment that my husband and I made. Thank you for everything Cindy! We love you!

Two days after the event, we can still feel the warm glow of our wedding day. We simply could not have pulled it off without Cindy's incredible foresight, guidance, and organization. Our wedding was a homegrown affair, held on our friend's farm, with food, invitations, flowers, and more all provided by our friends and family. If you're planning a wedding like this, you might think that you do not need a coordinator. Think again! In retrospect, we realized that precisely because so many elements of our wedding were do-it-yourself, we needed someone who could see how all the elements fit together. We wanted our wedding to be simple: a party with friends, a bonfire, good food, and dancing. Cindy understood right away what we had in mind and knew exactly how to plan it. On our Skype calls before the event, Cindy walked us through every element we'd planned and every element we hadn't considered. She made multiple checklists and forms outlining every day's events. She was warm and understanding, and patient with the idiosyncrasies of everyone involved in the planning. On our wedding day, it looked like we were going to get rained out. Cindy remained cool and collected as we panicked, creating a flexible rain plan on the fly that we were able to change a half hour before the ceremony started and the clouds began to part. She made sure that several details left to the last minute were executed to perfection. Here is a story: one of our guests whose daughter is getting married next summer watched Cindy in action and decided on the spot that he wanted to hire her. But his daughter had already found someone whose personality she loved. He asked us for Cindy's name and called his daughter, only to find out that it was Cindy she'd already decided she wanted to hire. He was astonished. We are not surprised. You should hire no one else! Thank you Cindy for helping to give us a day we will remember forever.

We could not have had such a gorgeous and meaningful ceremony without Cindy's help. Our wedding was at a working farm, where there had never been a wedding before. We needed to bring in electricity, tent, grills for food, restrooms, and so much more and Cindy kept track of every last detail so that we wouldn't need to. She went over every list with a fine toothed comb, offered advice when asked, listened to every wish and made each one come true.

Cindy (owner of Detaille) was a gem to work with. She listened to all my requests and worries, gave her professional opinion when needed (first-time brides will need it) and went to bat for me when other vendors pushed back (which happened several times). On the day of my wedding, I felt completely confident that I could just relax and enjoy because I trusted Cindy 100% to "run the show" and handle whatever issues came up (and we had a few). She was detail oriented ,hence her company name, to a point where other vendors took notice and showed their appreciation for the way in which she organized the day. If I could relive my wedding (and I wish I could!) I would hire Cindy again and again. Ten-star​ rating!

It has been one week since my daughter worked with Cindy to plan her wedding and I knew that this event was incredibly exciting for her and her fiance and they were making it their own, Cindy helped them to bring it to fruition. She knew who to recommend for resources and how to help them plan for the most creative and beautiful wedding within their budget. They had unique touches that marked their wedding as truly their own and Cindy helped them create the vision. More importantly, as parents of the bride, my husband and I were amazed as were all of the bridal party at how calm, easy going, organized and delightful Cindy was to be with throughout the entire weekend event. Cindy contacted each of the providers- florist, band, chuppa builders, venue party planner and lighting people and made sure that everyone would be where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be there. She felt like the anchoring member of our family. She kept us steady ( even when I lost the rings!) and laughed when we were just silly and having fun. My daughter's wedding was not only joyous, but beautiful in every possible way. We attribute much of the flawlessness of this event to her.

I was fortunate to have worked with Cindy from Detaille Weddings and Events for my daughters wedding. She came highly recommended from a friend and she did not disappoint. Cindy is very detail oriented and extremely easy to work with. Cindy was present at the wedding and reception to make sure everything went smoothly, and it did! We needed a planner to help coordinate our rehearsal as well as wedding day so we chose Detaille and worked closely with Cindy for the month leading up to our wedding day. Cindy was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was very responsive, a great listener and executed our vision beyond our expectations. A true professional with a lot of experience planning wedding which was critical for us since we were the first couple to get married at our venue. She was very organized, attentive, reliable and always provided good perspective when we needed her help making a decision. Cindy was the party planner for my daughter's sweet 15 in August 2014. She was an amazing party planner and paid attention to every last detail. We highly recommend hiring Cindy to be your wedding coordinator/ planner. We used her service as a "Day-of-Coordinator" for our CT wedding. We live in Brooklyn so we planned with her via telephone and email during the month prior to the big day. Our planning conversations were hugely important and set us up for success. We were very busy with work during the months prior to our wedding and she walked us through every detail in a comprehensive and well-organized manner. Her worksheets and planning tips helped us to ask the right questions of our other vendors and to set clear expectations for what we wanted. Cindy is both efficient and personable. She was incredibly responsive to our needs before and during the event. We were particularly impressed by the way she managed relationships with vendors, guests, and families, and how she addressed the inevitable wedding day wrinkles with ease and calm - without us or our guests noticing! If you are looking to hire a coordinator for your wedding day, look no further than Cindy Sanchez Lark! She was hands down the best investment we made on our wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, Cindy worked with us to organize every little detail. She was always available and happy to help with any questions or concerns we had. On the day of the wedding, Cindy took care of the set-up of the entire event, as well as managing the 10+ vendors we had. Every little detail (and we had A LOT) was executed beautifully. We were so confident in Cindy that we didn’t have to worry about a thing and were able to truly enjoy our big day. She was so thoughtful and went out of her way to bring us food and drinks and take care of us in every way. There was even a behind the scenes issue with the caterer, but Cindy handled it so well that we were never even aware of it. Every member of our bridal party commented on how fabulous Cindy was. She is calm, reassuring, detail oriented, professional, and above all a total sweetheart. We couldn’t imagine our wedding day without her!

Planning our wedding with Cindy was SO EASY! She did it all!! Everyone I talk to goes on about their stressful experience planning a wedding. Ours couldn't have been more opposite. Cindy made sure every detail was perfect...even though the weather didn't cooperate. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were supposed to be outside but had to be moved indoors last minute due to hurricane Dan's early arrival. No one knew the difference. Everyone thought it was planned inside! Cindy is such a pleasure to work with, so accommodating. We didn't have a care in the world, I always knew one phone call to her and everything would be taken care of. We had the most amazing night. Our guests talked about it for months. Everyone had so much fun. The absolutely only thing that went wrong was the weather....and Cindy can't control that, but I know if she could she would!! So, thank you Cindy for the amazing memories that we will cherish for our lifetime...

Cindy made planning my wedding such a joy and hassle free. She is so warm and welcoming and no issue is too big or too small for her to conquer. I also had the unique experience of working at the same resort as Cindy so I got an inside look at how dedicated she is to all of her brides (and grooms). She was especially a star on my wedding day because my florist decided to get to the venue justintime, but Cindy made sure everything was in place and we didn't even have to start late! If I had to do it again (maybe for our 10th anniversary) I'd definitely go with Cindy. I could not have been happier, AND to this day people still tell us that ours was the best wedding they have ever been to!

I had two years to plan my wedding and I LOVE to host and plan parties so I thought could definitely take on my wedding and do it in two years without a wedding planner. Boy was I wrong. Planning the wedding was doable but as the wedding got closer and I still had my career and everyday life to deal with, I really wish I had someone to lean on or really take care of all of the little issues that arise and they always do. I met Cindy when we booked our venue and she was amazing. I asked every question under the sun and she had answers for me immediately. It is not easy for me to hand complete control over to someone but I had built a relationship with Cindy (probably because I called her constantly for a year and a half) and I knew my wedding would be exactly how I dreamt it would be because Cindy was "in charge". She has such a calming presence, even if something did go wrong I don't think I would have known. I had some issues with some of my vendors except my venue. Not saying that they wouldn't have happened if Cindy had been planning my whole wedding but at least I wouldn't have had to deal with it and I know it would have been taken care of quickly and professionally. Cindy was available the day before my wedding to go over last minute details, I saw her working very hard before I left for the ceremony (because I peeked at the reception room) and she was always available during pictures, cocktail hour and reception. I was able to completely "let go" and enjoy myself because Cindy was there. She made herself known to my parents and in-laws and if they needed anything, she was there for them as well. Even though it has been five years since I got married, I think of Cindy often and was thrilled to hear of Detaille. Cindy is amazing at what she does and I know anyone would be thrilled with her patience, creativity, organization and kindness!

On September 26th I married my best friend. My fairy tales as a little girl came true with the help Cindy gave us! She was able to bring to life every detail I had imagined and more. We will definitely use Détaillé for other big events in our new married lives together! Perhaps an upcoming christening?
