There is a very specific kind of happiness that comes from realizing you don't have to worry about anything on the biggest day of your life. Libby gave us that from the very first phone call.
I first heard about Details Wedding Planning by wading through reviews online before I reached out and scheduled a meeting. The very next day, a friend told me, unprompted, that she'd had the best wedding planner of her life and I needed to book her immediately. It was Libby! Some things are just meant to be.
From that first call, she said something I still think about. She said her whole job was to make sure that we, our families, and our guests could just show up and have fun without carrying a single worry. She wasn't interested in the glitter and flowers for their own sake. She understood how important this milestone was for us and our families, and she treated the whole process with professionalism and care, while still making every part of it feel joyful and exciting.
My husband and I live in Charlotte, and my parents are based in Massachusetts, so our knowledge of the Charlotte wedding scene was limited, to say the least. We needed someone whose judgment we could fully trust, and Libby earned that fast. She never made decisions for us, she made us feel confident making our own, and every vendor she pointed us to, photographer, florist, band, caterer, was extraordinary. She coordinated with us across a combo of Zoom calls and whirlwind weekend visits. I didn't just get a wedding out of working with her. I got the best team of people I have ever worked with for anything.
And Libby has a "we'll make it work" spirit that ran through everything, from helping us pull off a last-minute livestream when a family curveball changed our plans five weeks out, all the way to the wedding day itself, when my bustle gave out three or four times because I refused to stop dancing and she kept appearing out of nowhere with a pin and a grin, telling me I definitely wasn't the first bride this had happened to. I barely noticed her working all night, which is exactly the point. I was just floating from one great moment to the next, smiling so hard my face hurt.
If you want a planner who makes the whole process this much fun and has your back no matter what comes up, it's Libby. I could not recommend her more!

Details Wedding Planning offers a number of services as part of their wedding planning packages. These range from full service planning, which will see Libby and her team helping you from the very beginning with such things as event design, venue scouting, and budget analysis. Partial planning is geared toward couples that simply need a little extra help to execute their already-laid plans. Day-of coordination is also available, should you have everything in place and only require a trusted pair of eyes to oversee the running of the day. e knew Melanie had everything handled. She asked such thoughtful questions and thought of so many small details that the day was a literal breeze (every part of it surpassed our expectations). Details also uses a platform to keep everything organized in one place, and that was so great to have. Melanie had amazing vendor recommendations (we adored everyone we worked with), incredible eye to detail, and my husband and I genuinely loved every time we got to meet with her on Zoom or in person. She is SUCH a gem - so funny, kind, and empathetic! Details also really cares about making the day what YOU want. We wanted a super colorful wedding, and the team made that happen for us in a way that still felt really cohesive with a million different colors/patterns everywhere. tion, and thoughtful guidance made what could have been an overwhelming process feel exciting and manageable. When she went on maternity leave, we were sad to see her step away, but she made sure we were in amazing hands with Libby. Libby picked up right where Melanie left off, and it felt like she had been with us from day one. She took the time to get to know us, understand our vision, and make sure every detail reflected who we are as a couple. One of our favorite personal touches was the custom cocktail stirrers with cutouts of our dog, which was something so small that we and our guests enjoyed so much. On our wedding day, Libby was an absolute rockstar. She expertly coordinated with every vendor, from our photographer and DJ to our florist and venue, so everything came together seamlessly. If there were any issues behind the scenes, we never knew because she handled everything. So many of our guests commented on how wonderful she was. Because of Melanie and Libby, we were able to be completely present and soak in every moment of our wedding day without worrying about a thing. That is an incredible gift, and one we'll always be thankful for. Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be, and so much of that is because of Melanie and Libby. They are not only exceptional wedding planners but genuinely wonderful people. We did a lot of DIY for our wedding and had friends and family helping, which can actually create more behind-the-scenes work — and Melanie handled it all flawlessly. She kept every detail and piece of information organized in one place, answered my random texts whenever a thought popped into my head, and constantly reassured us that everything was under control. That alone was so comforting.
As much as I loved how organized she was leading up to the wedding, she truly shined on the day of. She remained visibly calm the entire time, even when things didn’t go exactly as planned — and somehow fixed everything immediately without us ever feeling the stress. She absolutely killed it.
To top it all off, she even dropped off our car keys the next morning after we accidentally left them at the venue. We couldn’t recommend Melanie enough — she was worth every penny and then some.

nish. Her contract is exactly what you want when hiring a wedding planner because it clearly explains the services provided and not just the financial details. Libby is detailed, thoughtful, and an absolute pleasure to work with.
When the unexpected happened and our priest did not arrive on time, Libby immediately stepped in and took control of the situation. She found a backup officiant and had them on the way within thirty minutes while also keeping our guests entertained with an early cocktail hour. What could have been a nightmare became only a brief setback because of her calm and professional problem solving. When our priest finally arrived, she handled everything with ease and got the ceremony back on track.
Libby also set up all of our decorations and made the venue look absolutely beautiful. Our wedding day was perfect, and so much of that is thanks to her. Her experience with wedding planning is exceptional, and her fee fit our budget perfectly. She is truly a ten out of ten planner, and we cannot recommend her enough. She took complete control of all of the remaining details two months out, contacting the venue and vendors directly and taking care of all of the arrangements necessary to make my youngest daughter’s wedding day a complete success. And, it was! From working with the vendors, to rehearsal, to the wedding, the reception, and clean up, they were on top of every single situation, even the unforeseen ones, and neither my daughter or myself had to be concerned with anything other than having an amazing time.
We had an unfortunate hiccup the day before the wedding, and while it was stressful, it was handled with kindness and support, and an excellent alternate plan by Libby and Melanie.
I absolutely recommend speaking with Libby about your upcoming wedding. She is so kind and organized, and will have everything under control every second so you can have a memorable and stress free day.

She provided us detailed documents and timelines, reviewed contracts, and sent over pre-filtered lists of tried and true vendors for the additional services we needed to hire. Libby helped us save money through referrals to vendors, knowing what to DIY and what to hire out, and also helped us understand the budget for our wedding. She has great communication, a high standard of work, and even executed our contingency rain plan flawlessly when the forecast changed in the last minute. She always listened to what we wanted, and when we didn’t know something she explained the options to help us make decisions.

The weekend of the wedding, from start to finish, she made sure everything was absolutely perfect. She is extremely organized, timely, and really knows what she is doing. Not only did my husband and I love Libby, but we also had a ton of guests & people in the wedding party come up to us stating how wonderful our planner was.
She is the full package. I am someone who can be all over the place, especially when it comes to decision-making, and I had zero knowledge of the wedding space before my own.

to me - attention to detail, organization, assertiveness, a feeling of pride in her work, and genuine care for her clients. I knew immediately that she was not going to just help “plan the wedding” - she was going to invest in me. She and I worked well together because I am also very type A, so she didn’t have to prod me very much to make decisions and get things done; however, she got the other end of the spectrum with a million detailed questions, texts, and emails. She answered every question, and when she could sense that I was more stressed about something, she would call to settle my fears. She immediately had a timeline with goals for each month so that I would not get overwhelmed. I’m pretty sure she had more planning phone calls with me than were intended, but she recognized that I needed that. She recommended absolutely stellar vendors that I felt I connected with and who were cut from the same cloth as she is. She went with me to all of my vendor meetings, offering suggestions and solutions to fit my vision and my budget. When we got to 90 days out, she sent me a list of things that would be best to get done early, highlighting the most important. She created a detailed itinerary of the wedding weekend and sent it to all pertinent people well ahead of time. On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly, and my whole wedding party loved her. She checked in throughout the day and made sure we were on time. She was always smiling, even when I could hardly be pulled from the dance floor to cut the cake. She and her team loaded the car for my sister to take our stuff home so there was less for her to gather at the end of the night. Everything was perfect, and every detail was managed. I am thankful to say that we had a wonderful, curated experience, and I gained a friend in the process. Do not hesitate to put your day in her hands. The intangibles that she delivers - peace of mind, support, personality, heart - are priceless.

She helped us every step of the way—from budget, to design, to finding each of our amazing vendors, to making sure the day of went off without a hitch. For starters, Libby is such a positive, personable, and down-to-earth person, and she made us feel comfortable from our very first meeting with her. I could tell that Libby was genuinely invested in getting to know us and learning our vision for our wedding, and she helped make it come true within our budget. We truly enjoyed all of our meetings with Libby, and it was also wonderful getting to know her throughout the process.
When it came to the actual planning, Libby made the entire wedding process so easy and stress-free for my husband and myself. I loved Libby’s attention to detail and organization, and I appreciated how she laid out several vendor options for us every step of the way. Not only does she demonstrate professionalism in every aspect of the job, but she truly understood and listened to us as well as offered such creative solutions to bring our ideas to life. Her vast network and knowledge of vendors in the area was such a benefit as she was able to help us find the perfect team of people that could execute the vision seamlessly. Even better, thanks in large part to Libby's help, we also were able to come in under our initial wedding budget and not feel like we had to sacrifice anything we wanted! Throughout the entire time, but especially during the day of, I truly felt like Libby was a mind reader as she was always one step ahead of any question we had, and already had an answer. Our entire wedding party and family all said it was because of Libby that everyone got to enjoy the event and make the most of every moment, as she was on top of every detail. She went above and beyond, and her enthusiasm and passion for what she does showed through! We are so so lucky to have found Libby. Detail Wedding Planning was referred to us by our venue owner, and my daughter and I couldn't have been happier! At first, I was disappointed that Libby wouldn't be our planner, but I had peace when we started communicating with Nicole.
She was easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to my emails. She was informative and confident. That was important to me! For example, after I warned her about our loud, obnoxious, high-maintenance family, she wasn't afraid.
Everything she said she would do, she did. She articulated her expectations well, gave us deadlines, and checked in on us to see how things were going or if we needed help. In addition, Nicole was cheerful, never making us feel like we were annoying or she was too busy for us. Nicole was eager to address or assist with anything but never seemed flustered. Knowing she had my back and her goal was to ensure we enjoyed ourselves, I didn't have to worry. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an event planner.

When there was a misunderstanding with the groom's room the day of the wedding, she helped us smoothly resolve the issue. My motto through the whole process was "if Libby's not worried, I'm not worried." The wedding day and everything leading up to it was absolutely perfect and better than we could have imagined. hard work over the past 20 months. It was a journey we wouldn't have wanted to go on with anyone else.
Libby has such a great energy that kept us calm throughout the day and enabled us to enjoy each moment. She provided the enthusiasm and stamina that kept the process fun over 20 months even when we had to discuss the less exciting details (like picking out shuttles). Also, her organizational skills and tools are top notch! We felt completely comfortable handing the reins over to her on the day of knowing everything would go off without a hitch. We also knew that even if it didn't, Libby would fix it without us ever knowing.
Libby was able to synthesize our ever-evolving vision into a beautiful day that we absolutely loved. Walking into the ballroom as newlyweds and seeing our friends and family cheering us on was a special moment that we will never forget. It was made that much more memorable that the backdrop was the classy navy with a pop of copper décor, gorgeous white rose and magnolia florals, and warm up-lights. The transformation was truly stunning!
Most importantly, Libby always reminded us what the day was actually about and creating space for it. It was special to have some time after the ceremony to be together and reflect on the moment in the war room.

Fortunately, we made a great decision right at the start of the process. We hired Libby Sarver to help plan and coordinate our wedding. Instantly, all the stress disappeared. She gave us a timeline that kept us on track; she knew the right questions to ask, the vendors we should talk to, and the ones that weren’t with a second look. Rather than focusing on financing and logistics, we could focus on making sure our daughter had the wedding she’d dreamed of.
Our daughter got married on Saturday, and it was, indeed, exactly the wedding she wanted. Everyone involved was the height of professionalism; everything went off seamlessly, on schedule and as expected. The ceremony itself was beautiful and moving. Many people told us that it was one of the best weddings they’d ever attended.
During the wedding, all eyes of course were on our daughter and our brand new son-in-law, and we got the credit for a wonderful event. But the unsung hero of our weekend was Libby Sarver, and we will remain grateful to her for providing our families with the memories we will have for the rest of our lives.

the name implies, they took care of ALL of the details! My husband and I had a very eventful wedding day where we decided to have TWO ceremonies, one Hindu and one Catholic with a break in between followed by a large reception. When I first started thinking about how complicated this would be, I almost threw in the towel. But Libby and her team worked with us from the beginning to bring our vision to life. They helped brainstorm, recommended incredible vendors, did research to find some unique vendors that we needed... such as a horse and mobile DJ :) I never in a million years thought we would be able to pull it off, but when the day arrived everything went smoothly! We adored Libby and her team- all have such positive attitudes, were willing to help with any and all tasks that came up and made me, my husband and our families feel so special on our wedding day. it came to the small details of our wedding (an apt business name, for sure!). We were also impressed with how quickly and effectively she communicated with our many vendors - a task that I did not envy in the slightest - and the consideration she had for planning each piece of our special day.
On our wedding day we left it all to Libby; she was our go-to for schedule updates, venue & vendor communication, and all-around smiles and support! At one point she event tracked me (the gleeful and slightly overwhelmed bride) down with a plate of appetizers and a gave me a persistent and much-appreciated nudge to take a breather. Libby wasn't just concerned with the logistics (though those were very much under control at all times); she made sure that we, the wedding couple, truly enjoyed ourselves on our Wedding Day.
Libby made sure our everything went seamlessly on our special weekend, and we cannot recommend her highly enough!
