Our style AND our couples. Our magic is borne out of an insistence on creating bespoke, highly personalized and tailored experiences. We focus on the uniqueness of our couples by encouraging them to be their most authentic and raw selves. Our couples are as much interested in the journey as in the end product and already know who they are and what they like - we're just here to bring their visions to life. They are deep thinkers and open about their needs, even if their need is to say "I have no idea how to execute this, and I need help". Planning with our team is often described as easy. We represent a unique mix of consistent professionalism with fun interactions, allowing our couples to approach their big day with confidence and excitement. Our couples book us for 3 main reasons: 1. Our History & Experience: Our co-founders are educated up to MBA level and have a unique combination of high level corporate experience in the luxury brand and design industry, coupled with on the ground experience in the event industry. Our team has worked events at all levels, from back of house support all the way to leading and producing multi-day corporate conventions and retreats. 2. Our Style & Creativity: Our Founder Deliece, worked as a professional dancer and choreographer for over 15 years. She has a unique eye for creating moments throughout events that are intriguing and that pull out the nuances of our couples' personalities. She dreams with you! Our co-founder Melissa, has a corporate finance background and is always thinking about the logisitcs and delivery of the end product. She makes things happen and happen well! 3. Our Professionalism & Relationships: Our couples love that they can call us friends, while also knowing that their events will always take priority. We value exactly what our clients value and work hard to get it right, each and every time. Wait, there's MORE. We've commissioned events for large brands such as Volvo Cars and worked with top tier social media influencers to plan their events. Our deepest love, however, is for our private clients. We take the time to understand their vision for their events, as well as what makes them excited, inspired and unique as people. After all, isn't that what we are here to celebrate? People! Our team has worked regionally and internationally producing a myriad of gatherings including destination weddings, corporate retreats & conventions and private estate weddings & celebrations. s key in keeping my sanity for the entire weekend. I am someone who is beyond type A and have a working background in event planning/management and they were such a great crew to work with and thought of details that never even crossed my mind! Having my event planning background, I really questioned if I would need planners because I felt like I had everything under control, but having Deliece and Melissa as part of our special day was a no-brainer! Looking back, I wish I would have found them sooner, honestly!
We had many detailed pieces and small items to set out on the day of the wedding plus an end-of-night exit that took some coordination, and everything went off without a hitch. It was important to my now husband and me that during the time leading up to the day of the event, Deliece and Melissa were very professional and always responsive - even when Deliece had just welcomed her son to their family. They are great to bounce ideas off of as well and lean on for advice and support when the dreaded but inevitable hiccups happen prior to your big day (like me getting the stomach flu 2 days before the wedding and not being able to get into town on time).
During the wedding, when anything was adjusted or if an issue came up, they presented everything to me very calmly and with a solution which I really appreciated because it kept me from getting upset or worried knowing that they had it completely handled and had my back! My dress bustle was destroyed early on after it was accidentally stepped on multiple times while dancing and the ladies were able to save the day and make sure that train wasn’t moving anymore and was secure and I would be able to party the night away.
The best part of all (aside from them being amazing people to work with) was that they knew my schedule inside and out and did not let anything slip through the cracks, which was always something I was worried about before I had planners. All of their materials and plans they create are clear and straightforward and if you choose month of coordination, there are many follow up calls and these ladies work super hard behind the scenes to make sure everything is perfect.
At the end of the night, everything was carefully put away and handled which allowed my new husband and I to be able to go off with our friends and family and continue the celebration at the after party, which were are BEYOND grateful for since there was so much partying happening during the actual wedding.
Overall, our wedding was amazing and Deliece and Melissa deserve so much credit for that! My husband and I are beyond grateful for the whole team and for helping to make our day a legit fairytale!

essionals in a niche field who can make a huge difference in the quality of your experience. And what's the point if you don't get to enjoy your wedding experience?
Here are some specific things that Deliece and Melissa did that were super-helpful on the day of:
1) I couldn't find the body tape I had bought, but they had some on hand.
2) I needed to stay hydrated after I got my makeup done, so they provided straws so I could drink without messing up my lipstick.
3) The groom's vest had fallen to the bottom of his garment bag after we dry cleaned it, but they had a portable steamer and were able to get the wrinkles out.
4) They arranged a tent for our DJ for the ceremony, which was outdoors, when they discovered at the last minute that the contract required a tent rain-or-shine.
5) They made sure we ate dinner (and dessert).
6) They made sure waitstaff were replacing our drinks at regular intervals during the reception.
7) They brought a handheld portable fan, which was a lifesaver since it was more than 90 degrees outside.
8) They provided transportation around the property, which was a vineyard that wasn't very walkable in my nice shoes.
9) A friend left something in their car by accident at the end of the night, and they arranged to mail it to her a few days later.
All of these things were nice surprises. It's not like we asked them to bring straws, it didn't even occur to us that we'd need them. But Deliece and Melissa brought them anyway because this is their job and they know what they're doing. They were PREPARED.
I also want to note that I did not buy full wedding planning services from them, just month-of coordination, but they never treated me like a less important client. There were cases in the months leading up to the wedding where I asked them for help that was actually outside the scope of services we had agreed on, and they were very professional in letting me know that it wasn't included in my package. I appreciate that they enforced their boundaries so politely and respectfully-- I like that in a person.
Overall, I can't recommend Dhalia Events highly enough.

g to make sure they were prepared when the day came. I consider myself to be very organized, but they suggested steps for preparation that I never considered that ended up being absolutely essential for making the day go smoothly. On the day-of they worked INCREDIBLY hard making sure everything went according to plan. They took care of set up, they stayed late and took care of clean up, and they handled every single thing that went wrong. It's difficult to emphasize how much stress they took off my plate between coordinating with vendors, making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time, and fixing things as they went wrong. When it turned out the bustle of my dress left too long of a train they broke our safety pins and a sewing kit and fixed it themselves to make sure I would be able to dance without stepping on my dress. When the bus we hired failed to pick up our guests from the hotel to bring them to the ceremony they helped get everyone Ubers and got the Uber rides reimbursed by the bus company so our guests didn't have to pay out of pocket. Melissa and Deliece are so sweet and so accommodating and were there whenever I needed ANYTHING. On the day of the wedding I was also provided with a Bridal Assistant. Antonia was a dream. She was there by my side whenever I needed something even if it was just a water. I highly recommend the Dhalia team whether you are an event big or small.

m our very first planning call straight through the wedding weekend, Deliece and Melissa helped to keep everything organized and on track, making sure we never missed a deadline or forgot any detail -- from rentals to our floor plan to hotel blocks, and all the other million things that go into a wedding day. nd the team. We got the package for the day of service but I didn’t realize the amount of work they would put into it leading up to the wedding. They managed all our vendors and gave us a great timeline of the day and we had to start early with a large wedding party. We were initially nervous because of the extra cost, so if that’s a concern, let me assure you it’s well worth it for the amazing service and planning received. Our wedding day was perfect because of their work.

any question I ever had was answered in a timely manner and they always had great vendor referrals and suggestions. They were incredibly supportive through a wedding reschedule due to COVID-19 and were always flexible when scheduling planning meetings around me and my husband’s atypical work schedules. They treated me, my husband, and my mother like family and I felt well taken care of the day of my wedding. I did not have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day which went seamlessly. event planning/coordination. From the first time we met all the way through our wedding day, the Dhalia team was friendly, supportive, communicative, prompt, and on top of everything. I felt like a weight was lifted off of me when we began meeting with the team the month of our wedding.
In terms of the planning process, the highlights for me were that Deliece took over all vendor communication, including questions, arrival/departure planning, etc. a few weeks before the date; my email was shockingly quiet since Deliece and the team assumed all of that hard coordination/communication work. Additionally, the team is highly organized which shined through in so many ways. They put together a beautifully detailed day of timeline which we constantly referred to. They sent action item lists following every meeting so the burden or tracking what had to get done was minimized for us (bride/groom). They had awesome planning software that we used along the way (the checklist was our favorite).
I also want to mention that Deliece and her team are so personable and friendly. Working with them was truly so fun. Its clear they take time to get to know their couples and they care about the relationship a lot! They made time every call to just check in on how we were feeling/if we had concerns. There were many times we got to just chatting or laughing about something random. This speaks to how kind and thoughtful Deliece and her team are, and made me that much more comfortable and relaxed on our wedding day!

We planned the ceremony outside but the weather did not hold up and the Dhalia team was able to navigate all the changes needed to create the vibe we wanted inside and allowing us to enjoy the whole day and magical moments of a wedding. They truly went above and beyond. When my husband lost a contact during our wedding reception, Deliece even travelled back to the hotel to get his extra pair. Thus, wedding planners were not just paramount in this task but crucial—especially planners who were able to not only understand my partner and I as a couple but also individually and that’s where Dhalia Events came in. There was no way for me as a medical resident working 80 hours a week to plan our entire wedding alone, along with the fact that my fiancé at the time who lived in Maryland, 4 hours from where I live and work. We live in two different states and the wedding would be in a 3rd state. There are a lot of moving parts that two working professionals just don’t have the time or bandwidth to handle in what we expected to be a 400+ guest South Indian wedding in the US. Deliece and Melisa had as much a fingerprint on our wedding as my partner and I did. I’ll admit I can be a very particular bride, my time is limited, and I need answers in the small windows I have in between work to plan our wedding. Dhalia really answered the call of duty. They provided us an overall timeline to work toward for our big day, all on our very own wedding portal that was meticulously organized and maintained. They provided us major input and suggestions on all the venders we were considering. They were the single point of contact for all our vendors and regularly reminded us of upcoming appointments, whether it was tuxedo rentals, choosing centerpieces, finding and choosing printers for the programs and invitations, scheduling trial runs for makeup and hair, reminding us to make scheduled payments, and following up on the millions of other details. We have been pretty much talking about our wedding non-stop for the past two weeks and so have our parents, siblings, and numerous others family members and friends. There were small glitches on our wedding (as is everyone’s I’m sure) but honestly, Deliece and Melissa smoothed it out and no one even knew! We HIGHLY recommend Dhalia Events for your wedding or any other special occasion! We definitely will look to them for any future event we need.
