About this vendor
Diamonds & Pearls is a wedding boutique located in Manassas, VA. Providing tailored and attentive customer service in a luxury setting is the crux of this business. The dedicated staff in-store hope to create a shopping experience that will stand up among the best memories of preparing for your special day.
Melanie Bray Bradford, the owner of Diamonds & Pearls, started this business with the goal of creating a bridal salon with excellent customer service in mind. Reflecting on her own dress-buying experience, she examined the ways she would have altered or improved the service approach. Melanie used this as the basis for her company, to provide individualized care for her clients and their parties. The refined glamour of the salon is inspired by the chic style of the women she was raised by and the timeless charm of the Southern Belle. Here, Melanie and her staff intend to help their customers feel graceful, comfortable and catered to.
This specialty shop is home to a range of high fashion gowns with varying price points, presenting you with selections to suit your budget. A personal consultant from the store will be assigned to you, guiding you through the many opulent options in stock. The staff of this store can also arrange for dress alterations with their in-house seamstress, ensuring that you have the perfect fit for your big day. When all is done, they can help you to preserve your gown so it retains its timeless beauty for years to come. This boutique has also partnered with a team of local floral designers to help you create a bouquet to match your stunning ensemble.

My future dil , age 22, size 0, was assured by the owner Melanie that a size 10 dress with complicated overlay, corset back and distinct neckline could “definitely be altered” to f...
it her. My dil trusted her. Bought it. Our professional seamstress took time on a Sunday to figure out the alterations and concluded it could not be done without looking quite awkward. Despite her losing the business of altering the dress, she told us honestly. We called Melanie immediately. Less than 48 hours after purchasing the dress and Melanie refused to accept the return of the dress. My dil bought it trusting Melanie’s insistence it could be altered - which was a false pretense. My son called and kindly explained the situation but Melanie would not budge. I entered the call and Melanie said “I told her it could be altered t bc I know it can be altered.” I asked if she was a seamstress. She said no. I said did your seamstress look at the dress on my dil. She said no. Well my seamstress did and said it would not look normal altered bc of all of the combined challenges mentioned above. I explained to Melanie that these kids are paying for almost their entire wedding themselves, so please understand she bought it on your word it could be altered -which implies altered to still look good , not awkward.
She became rude and told me not to question her integrity. If she made a false statement in selling the dress -even if unintentionally -the noble honest thing to do is to allow the return. I will be filing a lawsuit in small claims court against Diamonds and Pearls while my dil is out 1800 on a dress she can not wear. Terrible customer service. Especially awful bc it hurts a young bride to be who bought a dress on the word of the owner insisting it could go from size 10 to 0 without a problem. Even if unintentional this was not true. Beware. Don’t ruin one of the joys of wedding planning with the unnecessary stress of such practices of a local establishment.
Sadly, We will have to handle this in court.
I had a wonderful experience purchasing and tailoring my dress. The ladies that work here are so wonderful and energetic about helping you find the dress of your dreams! During m...
y fitting, I tried on several gowns and never felt pressured in any way to make a decision. The first dress I tried was my favorite and I ended up putting it back on at the end, but the shoulder wrapping details made me apprehensive because I didn’t want my arms restricted while dancing at my reception. That’s when Melanie noted that another customer who purchased the dress was able to have the seamstress add small hooks so that the over the shoulder wrap could be tightened and be converted to a strapless dress! It was absolutely perfect!
I felt so overwhelmed. Gave them a few ideas of what I was looking for. They Knew exactly what I needed! Ended up with 2 Dresses!❤️ I love how they take the time with you and not ...
feeling rushed! Thank you so much ladies!! 🥹 I can go on and on!! I really can’t thank yall enough! 🥲
Look no further than Diamonds and Pearls Bridal! You will not be disappointed!! This was the first place I went to begin my wedding dress search and I knew from the moment that I m...
et Melanie and her staff that this was the place!! The shop is beautiful with a great selection. Melanie was so helpful and sweet and went above and beyond. I had tried on a few dresses and was pretty certain I found my dress then. However, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t limiting myself, so I tried out one more shop (horrible experience) and went back online to check out a few more. Melanie helped locate one of the dresses I found online and had it sent to the shop for me to try on. I ended up going with the dress she originally helped me pick out and I couldn’t have been happier! I have sent a few others to Diamonds and Pearls Bridal since then and they have all purchased their dresses from there. Thank you, Melanie, for being so amazing and for helping me pick out the perfect dress for my big day!!

p having a tough time deciding between 3 dresses I absolutely loved, and a dozen others that I really liked. Brittany at the shop worked with me and not only made me feel beautiful, but was honest and genuine throughout the whole process. There are a lot of great shops out there, but this place really knocked it out of the park!
The Diamonds & Pearls team completely changed the wedding dress shopping experience for me. I had no idea what type of wedding dress I wanted and I was excited to go to the differe...
nt shops to see what would be pulled based on the expertise of the bridal specialists. However, I felt overwhelmed and defeated after leaving the first two bridal shops. I even doubted if I would find a dress that I would love and feel confident when wearing. I happened to find Diamonds & Pearls when looking for a last minute appointment and was so happy I did. As soon as I entered the shop, I knew the experience would be different. It was a more personalized experience and after sharing my story with Fre she was determined to find the right dress for me. The dress that we found was beautiful and nothing like I imagined, but it felt so right. Each appointment following was an amazing experience because it felt like Melanie and the team truly cared. I am even using their dress cleaning and preservation services because I trust them completely with my dress. Thank you so so much Diamonds & Pearls for helping me find the dress that made me feel beautiful on my wedding day.
Working with Melanie, and everyone at Diamonds & Pearls, was a dream! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I had tried on a few other dresses at other bridal shops but my...
time with Diamonds & Pearls was unlike any other. Melanie and her team were knowledgeable, professional, and always entertaining. I felt heard and seen, and was able to find my wedding dress within no time. I highly recommend Diamonds & Pearls!!
Diamonds and Pearls provided an absolutely amazing experience!!! I worked with Fredina, and she immediately made me feel super comfortable. There was a range of sizes to work with ...
and I was able to try on every dress I was interested in without size being a problem. Fredina also created such a warm environment for myself and my family during our visit. I even found my dress but wasn’t willing to commit in the moment, and I didn’t feel pressured at all to make a decision. Fredina supported my decision to sleep on it, and even opened up early the next day so I could come back. The ladies at Diamonds and Pearls really go above and beyond to create a warm and inclusive, yet still professional, environment. Thank you so much!!!

Melanie was the absolute best! She is very accommodating, honest and supportive. Her shop is beautiful and cozy. 10/10 would recommend.

ally unique options in the Diamonds & Pearls collection. Wedding gown shopping is an overwhelming experience -- at least, it was for me! Melanie made it so much easier and brought a sense of calm to the process. I'd recommend Diamonds & Pearls to anyone looking for a personalized, fun and as-stress-free-as-possible experience!
Now, while I didn't end up purchasing my dress from Diamonds & Pearls, the gorgeous Fiona gown was one of the two it came down to for me -- it was an incredibly hard decision and that dress will always hold a place in my heart. Melanie and one of her colleagues knew I was stressed out about the decision, and they were very supportive and patient with me as I mulled it over.
I mentioned to Melanie early in the process that I was interested in a wedding cape (alternative to a veil) and was considering ordering one online, but Melanie had one in-shop that she had me try on to give me an idea of the interplay with a dress/train. It was SO gorgeous that it changed my entire approach to my wedding "look," and I decided on it before I even made the final decision on my dress!
Thank you, Melanie, for helping make this process such a positive experience! :)

hard decision. Ultimately I found the most amazing dress there! I loved the aesthetic of the boutique and was so happy we decided to go there! I also thought the in house tailor did an amazing job - she made my dress look perfect and it fit like a glove! Overall I had an amazing experience and I would highly recommend Diamonds & Pearls to anyone looking for the perfect wedding dress!
Love love love this shop. I came in last Sunday and the dresses they have were beautiful. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all into buying immediately and staff was so helpful ...
to me while I was there. They let me try on as many dresses I wanted and really listened to what I was looking for in a dress. I found the perfect dress that matched my vision exactly and just purchased it today along with two equally beautiful veils. I can't wait for it to come in!
Although I didn’t end up buying my dress at Diamonds and Pearls, I cannot recommend this shop enough! Melanie and her team were attentive, so kind, and did an excellent job helping...
me figure out what I wanted in my dress. I felt comfortable, relaxed, and cared for- you won’t find a bridal shopping experience like this anywhere else in Virginia.
I was terrified of wedding dress shopping, I didn't think I would find anything that looked great on me and finding a wedding dress would just be a matter of settling. This shop ha...
s an amazing selection of beautiful dresses. Every dress I was put in was absolutely beautiful and looked great on me. I hadn't put much thought into what I wanted because I wouldn't really know where to start. I showed Melanie one picture of a David's bridal dress in a style I thought I would like....she found something infinitely better.
I also love the colors of her dresses. She has so many whites and other very light colors to choose from. I never imagined not having a white wedding dress, but I decided on a Sand colored one. There actually were two other dresses I really loved, one being a subtle purple that was just absolutely gorgeous. The shop is also adorable. I really can't recommend this shop enough.
Very intimate setting for a very important day. I felt like I was meeting up with an old friend. Love how much Melanie listened to what I wanted. It is by far the best experience...
I have had.
Brides, GO TO SEE MELANIE!!! I had a lot of apprehension about dress shopping. I am curvy, I’m in the process of losing weight and have never loved clothes shopping. I will be ...
forever thankful I booked with Melanie FIRST! I felt at ease from the moment I stepped in her boutique. It is impeccably clean, nicely decorated and I had her all to myself (she doesn’t overlap appointments) She even put Beyoncé on when she saw my Feyonce t-shirt!! She took the time to look at pictures I liked and talked to me about what I wanted. She just seemed to know what would look flattering and did a great job of encouraging me to try things I may not have thought of. She also did an amazing job of helping me in the dressing room while clipping the dresses in just the right way so I could see what it would look like when it fit right. I felt beautiful in EVERY dress I tried. I left my first appointment with 3 favorites (none of which were what I originally thought I wanted) and went to another boutique (cause I thought I should try a few places) . I was wrong. The second boutique was AWFUL!! I called Melanie that night asking for another appointment and she got me in that next weekend. The second appointment I had was even better than the first!! I had narrowed down to strapless choices (not at all what I originally wanted) and she asked what I thought of one of the off the rack dresses. It was the first dress I tried and I immediately knew, it was the perfect mix of everything I loved and it was meant for ME!! Melanie made every step of this process easy and fun and I will be encouraging EVERYONE I know to go to Diamonds and Pearls.

look good on me. I had 3-4 on my lists of "Loves" I came back 2 weeks later to decide on THE ONE. She was extremely personable and I would recommend her to everyone I know.

ut the dresses she carried were so beautiful and in a great and reasonable price range! If you are looking for a relaxing and productive experience with top of the line hospitality and the best selection of gowns, then look no further than Diamonds and Pearls Bridal. You won’t regret coming here.
Such a great experience! So happy I found the perfect dress for me!
I am not normally one that sits down to take the time to leave reviews, but after my experience with Melanie today there was no way I could not have. What a phenomenal, exemplary...
example of not just great customer service, but how all wedding dress shopping should go! When I tell you I walked away feeling like I had an experience like something in the movies, I am not exaggerating. Melanie provided a personal, one-on-one session that allowed her to really understand my likes and dislikes in order to guide me to the right dress. I went into her shop thinking I wanted one style, and walked out having chosen a dress of her suggestion after her careful listening to my desires and watchful eye of what made me comfortable and happy. When she told me she had just recently opened the business a few months prior, I could hardly believe it. She is a pro! I would've thought she has been at this for years. She was extremely patient and encouraging, and allowed my Sister/Maid of Honor and Mom to dote in the experience. Not to mention! My wedding is coming up SUPER SOON, in about 3 months. Not only was she was able to help me find the perfect dress, but also one that would be ready in time for my wedding. Thank you so much Melanie! May your business thrive and the rest of the brides who shop with you be as happy as I was.
The salon is small as is the selection and the perfect dress was still there! You may visit a large shop with a thousand dresses but if your consultant doesn’t understand the style...
you’re looking for, or worse, doesn’t care, you simply won’t find The Dress. The beauty of new small businesses is the personal investment of the owner. Our consultant, Melanie, is also the owner and she made sure we enjoyed ourselves. Beyond that, she has a great eye for what looks great on you. If you explain the style you’re looking for, she can help you create it. I’m so thrilled we visited Diamonds and Pearls. Find the perfect look without using the down payment for a house.
