I am so happy we picked District Winery for our fall 2023 wedding. The staff was incredible from the moment we toured the venue - there was no question they could not answer. They are a well-oiled machine which made the wedding day and the weeks leading up to it stress-free. They responded to our questions day and night and did a great job of keeping notes of things we requested. On the day of the wedding, they blew all of my expectations out of the water. The staff had everything exactly where it needed to be. Samantha went above and beyond her role as a venue coordinator and was a dress fluffer, a tissue carrier, a timekeeper, and more. She kept everything light and fun, was present and visible if we had questions, but also worked behind the scenes to keep everything running seamlessly. Even through they are hosting probably hundreds of weddings and events a year, District Winery made our experience personal to us. My dad asked Samantha about having a certain kind of alcohol, and she made sure he had some on the wedding day. They ensured our guests who had limited mobility were comfortable. They allowed us to choose an off-menu late night food item we were interested in. If you are looking for a D.C. wedding venue that will make your wedding day incredibly special and stress-free, this is the place!

Chloé and her team were amazing they made all of our dreams come true for our wedding from a second line recessional to a lively hora. The DW team is professional and responsive throughout the whole process. Highly suggest if you are going to have a bigger wedding. They make all the logistics easy.

From our initial tour until our wedding day we had an almost perfect experience with the District. I honestly cannot say enough about our two coordinators, Sam & Jacob. When I tell you they are on point they are ON POINT. They will have not only you (the bride and groom) together but they make sure the whole wedding party is moving the way they need to be. One of the biggest hiccups for us was the fact we didn’t enjoy any of the proteins that were given to us during our tasting and Sam worked with us to ensure the chef made something that we would enjoy even if those options weren’t initially offered. Also it’s notable that the venue had a f&b minimum that we didn’t meet just based on guest count so we got to add in some fun touches to the wedding such as wine bottle favors for all guests, donut wall, and a cheese wedding cake. If you’re looking for an all in one location at a reasonable price in DC I would highly recommend the District.

The main reason my husband and I chose District Winery as our wedding venue was the ease of planning and the peace of mind that comes from with working with such an experienced vendor. From the initial tour, they showcased a level of professionalism and excellence that set them far above any other venue we toured. The year and a half leading up to our wedding, we always felt welcomed and celebrated whenever we stopped by on our own or with friends and family. (One of the fun perks of having your wedding at District Winery is getting a lifetime 20% discount on their wine & in their restaurant!) The event manager and her team, who worked closely with us starting 90 days in advance, made needing a wedding planner obsolete. Additionally, the venue's recommended vendors (photographer, florist, band, etc.) work together so often that they collaborated without needing much input from us. They also took care of the little things - like accommodating uncommon allergies, setting up a pumping station for our guests who were new moms, etc. - without a complaint. During the weekend, Navy Yard was the perfect location for out-of-town guests to have everything at their fingertips (grocery, pharmacy, access to public transit), entertain themselves all weekend (sports arenas, restaurants, bars, proximity to the Mall and museums), and still be within >5 minute walk from the venue. On the day, I felt secure knowing the District Winery team runs 3 weddings per week, my event manager had 100+ weddings under her belt, and they would be able to address any issue that arose. Our guests raved about the venue (specifically the neighborhood, rooftop terrace overlooking the water, and seemingly magical transition from ceremony to reception space) and the food (both dinner, the Ice Cream Jubilee cart, and the late-night popcorn). I would recommend District Winery to anyone who is looking for a guaranteed professional experience and hands-off approach to wedding planning!

We were drawn to District Winery because of the excellent, walkable location close to Navy Yard Metro station/hotels and the gorgeous views of the Anacostia River. The full-service package, including food & beverage, and a dedicated event manager took a lot of stress off of us as we were wedding planning. The DW events staff were always available to answer questions and focus us on the important decisions. The food was extremely important to us in deciding on a venue/caterer, and DW’s in-house catering did a fantastic job. Their menu tasting process was excellent, inviting all the couples with upcoming weddings to join on a single night, which enables everyone to taste the entire menu. They also are very thoughtful with dietary restrictions, offering a variety of menu options that made it easy for us to ensure that no one would go hungry due to a lack of vegetarian or gluten-free options! The planning process leading up to the event was great, with frequent contact with our event manager, Megan, whenever we had any questions we wanted to talk through or coordination with vendors to follow up on. We had a walkthrough meeting about 6 weeks ahead of time, where she went through the full day and asked us plenty of questions to make sure that the event happened the way that we wanted it. The organizational tools they used were excellent, especially the master spreadsheet where we could enter in all of our vendor info, personal decor items, etc. On the day of, there were a few minor things that didn’t happen quite as planned or as smoothly as we would have liked, but it was all the type of stuff that I’m sure the guests had no idea about and didn’t get in the way of us enjoying our day to the fullest! For example, the welcome table hadn’t been set up even with guests starting to arrive and no one was there to usher arriving guests up to the ceremony space where we had musicians waiting to play. However, there was plenty of staff around for one of us to flag any issues to them, and everything was fixed very promptly. A tiny bit more attention to detail would have made it an 11/10 experience, but our memories of hosting our wedding at District Winery will be overwhelmingly positive anyway.

Gorgeous venue and view, delicious food, and organized/proactive team! We are so happy we chose this venue for our special day. It was perfect!

I cannot say enough good things about District Winery. Everyone on their team was amazing to work with throughout our entire engagement and on our wedding day. We were scheduled to get married on March 20, 2020 and were in the unfortunate situation of having to postpone our wedding a week before it was scheduled due to the pandemic. Rachel (Chief Revenue Officer) worked with us over the phone that week to share options with us and quickly reschedule us for the following year. I cannot stress how wonderful Rachel was to us during a very emotional time (and I'm sure an extremely challenging and stressful time for her as well). We ended up having multiple conversations and email exchanges with Rachel leading up to our new date in 2021 and she always made us feel so much better during a challenging time. District Winery and Rachel were flexible with us and continued to help us adapt our wedding to the microwedding we ended up hosting in March 2021. I cannot thank her and her team enough. Stephanie (our event manager for the wedding) was amazing to work with as well. She was always very responsive to our emails and helped us plan a wonderful wedding day. She had great ideas to make our much smaller than anticipated wedding special and helped ensure everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding. We didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day and that is all credited to Stephanie and her event team. District Winery is a beautiful venue, and we are so thankful that we chose them for our wedding. The food and drinks were fantastic, the views for our ceremony were gorgeous, and the team of people were incredible. District Winery handles many components of the wedding which makes planning the wedding so much less stressful (even during a pandemic). Would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a venue in D.C.

Last year, right before the pandemic shut everything down, I was lucky enough to have my wedding at District Winery. It honestly could not have been a more perfect day. Everyone says that something will always go wrong on your wedding and to not sweat it but I can honestly say Stephanie and her team made sure not a single tiny thing was out of place. From the schedule they laid out for the day to the coordination with our vendors to the FOOD everything was perfect. Almost a year later and family and friends are STILL raving about the wedding saying it was the best they'd ever been to with the best food they've ever had!

There is 1 simple reason District Winery has perfect 5 star rating…because it's PERFECT. If you needs more reasons why DW is the best venue in DC.. 1) It’s the PERFECT size for a mid/large size wedding in DC (~185ppl)—we found it was really hard to find a beautiful open reception space that could accommodate all our guests in one big open space with a big dance floor & 7 person b& 2) They have a BEAUTIFUL rooftop terrace that overlooks the Anacostia river that has a retractable roof/walls that allows an easy, back-up weather plan that you can literally implement within seconds with a remote. 3) The food & wine are PHENOMENAL—you’ll see this over & over in their reviews. I’m here to say it’s 100% true & you will have an extremely hard time trying to pick your selections for your big day 4) The event coordinators are AMAZING. They are the most well-oiled machine for making the day-of process as seamless as it can be. At the same time, they don’t feel like a “machine” because they TRULY care about all their couples & individualize each couples desires & plans to make their dream wedding become a reality. If you are a current couple looking for a wedding venue, I hope these summarized reasons help you made the decision to book DW! Read below if you’d like to know more about our personal experience with DW-- We were one of the lucky DW couples that was first affected COVID (our original wedding date was April 4 during the DC stay at home order). In mid-March/through our tears, we made the decision to postpone the full event until Sept. 2020- which seemed doable since no one really knew how bad it would turn out to be. Flash forward to Sept- we still couldn’t have our full 180-person wedding, BUT through the grace that DW showed us during those stressful months, we were able to have the most perfect, intimate wedding at DW. While I don't wish the canceling/rescheduling COVID wedding fiasco on anyone, if we had to do it again, I would pick DW over & over again. I can’t emphasize enough how understanding, empathic, & patient Stephanie (Director of Events) & Brian (Co-owner) were through the numerous, long phone calls to discuss all the options we had in terms of rescheduling, micro wedding package options, etc. We can only imagine how extremely exhausting it was to have these phone calls with all their covid couples & the tough toll covid took on their business, but they didn’t let that affect how they treated us as an individual couple. It was evident that they put the business side of things aside; they respected & empathized that we had been looking forward & investing in this special day for over 1.5 years & determined to help us have our dream wedding during COVID. They offered numerous options/packages/dates to reschedule for us to mull over until we came to the best solution for us as a couple. I am happy to share that we had our (covid-adjusted) DREAM wedding on Sept 20, 2020 with 21 guests. It was the most intimate wedding & we were lucky to have the most BEAUTIFUL day which allowed us to have both our ceremony & reception on their rooftop terrace. Stephanie was our event coordinator extraordinaire that day & with her staff coordinated the most seamless wedding- the food, drinks, flow of the events, coordination of the vendors. It was just perfect… <3 Thank you DW for your grace, empathy & helping us have the perfect wedding for us <3 We’ll forever be grateful & will be lifelong patrons of your business. Stop looking for venues NOW! District Winery was the first venue we toured, and nothing could compare!! The location, building, wedding package, incredible wine, amazing event planning team - the list goes on and on!!! We personally worked closely with Rheanna who made our day unforgettable!!! Even planning and navigating changes due to COVID, they were extremely flexible and accommodating. All our guests had the best time!!

District Winery was a dream come true! This was the first vendor we booked, and I'm so glad we did! Having everything for the reception be all-inclusive made planning so much easier and more straightforward. DW's attention to detail is unbeatable. Rebecca is so wonderful and kind, and she just made working with our other vendors a delightful experience. This place will always hold a very special place in our hearts. I've never heard of so many guests paying so many compliments about a venue. Seriously, this is worth the investment!

Looking for a classy, waterfront, not a worry in the world venue!?... District Winery is your place! From the staff to the food to the breathe taking venue everything is perfect. Lee and Stephanie our event managers had every detail down to the minute and decoration. DW has a tasting for every couple where you taste the FULL menu before your big day - it was our favorite pre-wedding event to attend together! The cost has everything included and no hidden fees or tricks so they are very up front. Our family and friends can’t stop raving about every detail! District Winery was everything my husband and I wanted in a wedding venue AND MORE! Every single person from the wedding coordinator to the staff working the event that night were absolutely amazing. We had a rather short engagement period (6 months), so we were working on quite a tight timeline, and DW was so accommodating in every single way. Our coordinator, Ryan, meticulously walked us through the venue and helped us nail down our timeline all in one meeting. A few months later, we had our tasting, which is arguably the best part about planning your wedding with this venue. We got to try every appetizer, entree, and side (plus a bunch of wine), to narrow down what we wanted to serve our guests. What I appreciate most about DW is how comprehensive their full-service is. If you're looking for a one-stop shop with exceptional food, service, and amenities, this is it. All my husband and I had to do was procure the services of a DJ, officiant, photographer, and florist who The venue itself is already gorgeous, and you even get to rent votives with your wedding package, so if you're trying to go minimal with the flowers/decorations like we did, DW will have you covered. The day of our wedding was a little hectic (naturally), but Ryan did an excellent job of keeping us on our timeline and making sure my husband and I were eating and drinking. He even set up a few last minute decoration for us, which I felt a little bad asking him to do, but he did it so graciously and without hesitation. From the perspective of our guests, we've been told that everything was flawlessly executed. I know every couple gushes about how magical/amazing their wedding was, but I can truly say that the experience at DW was not only that, but extremely organized, thoughtful, and considerate, and for a Type A planner like me, that speaks volumes about the venue's commitment to professionalism. Even though we got married more than 6 months ago, our guests still rave about how awesome the venue was and that the food was fantastic. If only I could get married again just to relive the experience!

District Winery, and Becca in particular, made our day truly perfect. Becca worked tirelessly throughout the night behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly. She gave us tips on when to talk to guests, when to sit down and eat, etc - so we did not have to worry about a thing and we just got to enjoy the entire night without feeling any obligations. When the schedule was a little delayed, or things needed to be changed around a little for a set up, we did not even notice her working with vendors to make it perfect. Everything was also very well executed and professional - such that when we came out of the ceremony and had vegetarian appetizers and champagne set up for us in the room because we missed it during cocktail hour. DW was wonderful working with prior to the wedding as well. I had pretty unique requests - we had a traditional jewish wedding with cocktail hour first - and we weren't sure if we were going to have it outside. I worked with Becca to create two timelines (a "Plan A" using the terrace, and a "Plan B" allowing for room set up time) - and we had some unique timeline restrictions - but Becca was flexible and helped me feel comfortable with both options before. And, the facilities manager allowed us to have it outside on the terrace even despite a fair amount of wind and it was truly perfect - the plastic side doors really work great! If you have a set idea in place, definitely don't be shy about telling them and they will make it happen. Our guests had a wonderful time too - and we heard rave reviews about the food and how well executed the night was. Could not recommend DW more!

We fell in love with District Winery on our first tour, and our experience only got better from there. The venue is beautiful and it’s in a fabulous location. The food is like nothing we had imagined for our wedding, and we still get tons of compliments about how good everything tasted. The staff at District Winery is incredible. Stephanie was an absolute joy to work with. She made sure everything was perfect down to the tiniest detail – coordinating with vendors, offering ideas for decorating, and making sure the wedding ran perfectly on time. Stephanie and the rest of the team at District Winery made sure our day was perfect and totally stress free. We cannot recommend District Winery highly enough.

Show Stopping. In DC there are so many options for wedding venues, District Winery creates an experience unparalleled to anything that can be expected. I cannot begin to express how blown away we are with Stephanie and the team at DW. No stone left unturned, she has the gift of truly connecting with her couples, anticipating anything that could possibly come up. The ring master of the evening, Stephanie walked us through every step and made sure our wedding was seamless. Geraldo and the service team ensured that we wanted for nothing during the reception and our glasses were always filled. We are thrilled that our guests had a wonderful experience at our wedding and could not have asked for a better team.

We are so glad we went with District Winery for our June wedding! If you’re looking for a modern but classic feeling space in DC with both indoor and outdoor space, there’s really nothing that beats it. We originally had our hearts set on an all outdoor wedding, but given our June timeframe we didn’t want to risk having a crazy weather day, which is always a possibility in DC. Even though we ended up with a beautiful day/evening (especially for late June!), it was perfect to be able to enjoy both the indoor, air-conditioned space for the ceremony/dinner/dancing while also having access to the gorgeous terrace overlooking the river for the cocktail hour and reception. From the day we booked our date through until the day before the wedding, the entire District Winery staff was super professional and responsive. Before our day-of (but really month-of!) coordinators were assigned, it never took more than 24 hours for someone from the event staff to respond to my one-off questions. Once we were connected with Stephanie and Rebecca about 8 weeks out, they made us feel like our wedding was their focus (despite having a ton of other events on their plates) and provided super thorough responses to the million and one questions we asked. They also provided an awesome spreadsheet that really helped us think through all of the tiny details we hadn’t wrapped our heads around and make sure we were on track. Knowing that Stephanie and Rebecca were taking care of coordinating with our vendors and had every detail of the day pinned down to the minute meant that we could relax and fully enjoy the day – which was especially comforting since we didn’t have a separate wedding planner (which I honestly don’t think you need if you go with DW – they truly take care of everything!) In addition to not having to worry about the coordination/day-of piece, it was a huge time saver to not have to think about renting tables/chairs/plates/flatware – the venue even provides décor items (e.g., votives, cake stands and cutting knives, card box, etc.) which are all super pretty. The space is great by itself, but is definitely somewhat of a blank slate and can take on completely different looks depending on your flowers/decor. Our 170 guest count felt like the perfect number especially since we had lots of dance-floor enthusiasts in our group. Our friends and family are still commenting on how wonderful the venue was, from the food to the wine to the space itself. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more amazing day thanks to Stephanie, Rebecca, and their team - our only regret is that it all flew by too quickly!

There is not enough room on this page to include all of the reasons why I am thankful that we chose District Winery as our wedding venue. For starters, I was planning a wedding in less than six months while simultaneously planning an overseas move (we moved clear across the world two weeks after our wedding!), so I needed a venue that had everything on-site, that supported me throughout the planning process, and that would be there for me in the days leading up to the event to handle the little details so that I could enjoy my big day. District Winery was all of that and more. From the beginning, Elise was wonderful in giving us all of the information we needed to feel comfortable booking the venue. Then, once Rebecca took over as our day-of coordinator, there was not a single detail that was left unplanned. She was thorough, professional, and understanding of all of the special touches we wanted--including helping us incorporate several military traditions into our wedding (my husband is active duty) that we thought we'd have to sacrifice when we decided not to do a traditional church wedding. On the day of the wedding, I didn't have to worry about a thing. She was always by our side keeping us on schedule and making sure we didn't miss anything, and she even helped pin my dress to hide a tear when one of my more intoxicated guests (hey, at least he was having fun, right?!?) stepped on my gown on the dance floor. I have had dozens of my guests reach out to me since the wedding to comment on how flawlessly the whole event was run, and many of them specifically point to Rebecca and credit her professionalism. On top of all of the accolades for Rebecca, we have had several guests go out of their way to reach out to us after our wedding to tell us that our venue was one of the most amazing they've ever seen. They've raved about everything from the views to the food (SO GOOD!) and from the wine to the incredible wait staff, and each time I'm thankful all over again that I chose the District Winery team to create the wedding of our dreams.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! We got married in October of 2018. We found and booked with District Winery before it was even built. Courtney was our day of contact but even before she was our person the entire wedding team at District were more than helpful to us. This place really knows how to put on a wedding. They think of everything and are so welcoming and helpful. There were so many things that our guests said happened throughout the night that the venue took care of and we didn't even realize they did. They go above and beyond in the details. Also I can't leave a review without talking about the AMAZING food. We did family style with steak and fish. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was phenomenal. The entire team made us feel like family and that they were just as invested in our special day as we were. Even during the most stressful times of wedding planning they were extremely helpful and willing to work with us. We are so grateful for the amazing team there, especially Courtney! (she is seriously fantastic) I could not recommend this place more highly.

District Winery was the perfect venue. We wanted a venue that took care of everything for us and made the process so easy. The best part about it was including the Day Of Coordinator. Rebecca was AMAZING and really made every step of the process so seamless. She handled timeline, which in my opinion is the hardest part, and navigated the entire day with vendors, communicated when things were happening, and was very pleasant to work with. I couldn't recommend DW enough!!

Our wedding last weekend at District Winery was so wonderful. Everything was perfect- it ran smoothly, the staff was all so kind and helpful, everything was done the way we asked, the food was amazing; I could go on and on. Rebecca, who we worked with throughout and who was our day of coordinator, handled everything flawlessly, from keeping us on time to making sure our guests were taken care of to making sure our photographer got great shots, and everything in between. The space is beautiful and set up to run your wedding seamlessly. Can't recommend highly enough!!

We are SO happy that we found District Winery (before it was even fully built!) Our wedding there last weekend was complete perfection! The venue itself is absolutely stunning. We loved that there are both indoor and outdoor spaces. We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful day so that we could hold our ceremony outside on the terrace, but the fact that there was an easy Plan B to move inside if the weather didn't cooperate was a huge stress off of our minds. This setup is way more flexible than some venues, which require you to book a tent weeks in advance in case of bad weather. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful (floor-to-ceiling windows, long wood tables, pretty string lights), and the venue even includes some extra decor if you want it - like votive candles, lanterns, display shelves, etc. Aside from the stunning event space, the Winery also totally delivered on quality of service and food. The servers were SO attentive - many of our guests commented that their wine glasses never even got close to empty, because the servers were so on top of it! The event staff were so polite and professional, and very helpful when we were trying to box up some decorations at the end of the night, which we greatly appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious. We really loved that the Winery invites their wedding couples to a "tasting night" to try ALL of the food and wine on the entire menu - this was a really nice touch and allowed us to feel confident about the menu we selected. We cannot say enough positive things about our event coordinator, Courtney. We literally could not have pulled this wedding off without her. In the months leading up to the wedding, Courtney was extremely patient, organized, and thorough in answering all of our (numerous) questions and emails. She offered very helpful suggestions when we needed advice on logistics of the day. Courtney was completely unflappable throughout the rehearsal and wedding day - she was calm, cheerful, and kept everyone on schedule. On our wedding day, we were able to relax and have enjoy the festivities because we were confident that Courtney had a handle on everything behind the scenes. Thank you so much for giving us such a perfect day, Courtney! You are fantastic at what you do! We had an amazing experience at District Winery, as did all of our friends and family. The space is beautiful, the location is great, the food and service are amazing, and their events team goes above and beyond. I can't recommend this venue enough!

“The Best,” “Incredible,” “Breathtaking,” “Stunning” were the words our friends and family shared immediately following and still five weeks after our incredible wedding at District Winery in mid-February. Like many of our fellow brides and grooms posting about this time, we booked our event months before the Winery opened. Before our coffee date with Brian (the co-owner), I explained to my then fiancé that my hopes weren’t high given I had grown up in the area and didn’t know much about the re-development happening in the Navy Yard (we live in NYC now so hadn’t been in years). We left, looking at each other, with tears in my eyes, knowing immediately that that was the space we wanted to get married in. We were so pleased throughout the planning process. From our private walkthrough before the grand opening, to our couples tasting where we got to taste EVERYTHING ON THE MENU (go hungry and thirsty), to planning correspondence in person and virtually with Rebecca (our on-site event mastermind/guru/saint/unicorn/all around amazing person), to our rehearsal the day before… everything was perfect, more than we could imagine, and so so pleasurable to plan. Now, for the wedding. Wow – I wish I could have been a guest at our own wedding as it was so lovely. The modern/urban/dark wood/semi-industrial (but still chic and classy!) was so “us” and set the perfect backdrop for us to orchestrate the most magical night of our life. We arrived about an hour before the ceremony to first take a few pictures in the Barrel Room (where the winemaking magic happens) and then relax in the Barrel Room Suite (a modern day “bridal suite” for to-be-weds of all genders) with the girls while my groom and his boys relaxed on the mezzanine. When it was time for the ceremony, Rebecca gathered us up and ensured we were all at the right place and in the right order – whilst also coordinating with our officiant and DJ. Of course I started crying before entering the ceremony space, and once again when saw of our beautiful friends and family with the beautiful river and Navy Yard in the background. Following the ceremony, my new hubby and I spent a few private moments alone in the Barrel Room Suite (complete with our own private set of h'dourves and sparkling wine). We then joined our friends and family upstairs in the mezzanine for a cocktail hour for the record books. The food (eight apps) and drinks (tons of wine, local beers, and top shelf liquor) were so yummy. The reception – both the dinner and dancing – was immaculate and effortlessly cool. We selected the Buttermilk Fried Chicken (with soy glaze) and Grilled Hanger Steak (with pink peppercorn jus) for our entrees and Horseradish Smashed Potatoes and Crispy Brussels Sprouts for our sides. So frickin’ fresh and delicious!! Our guests said simply it was the dining experience they’ve ever had at a wedding. We really liked the vibe of a family style meal with “French style” tableside serving of the entrees. It made the experience informal while classy at the same time. The food was perfect for both foodies and picky eaters alike. As expected, Rebecca’s coordination of our first dance, welcome speech, cake cutting, family dances, and more was top notch. Everyone shared that they had a fantastic time stop to finish as the flow was simply fantastic. I wish we could do it all over again – it was PERFECTION. My husband and I, as well as our guests, cannot say enough amazing things about our wedding reception a few weeks ago at the District Winery ! Rebecca, our event coordinator at the winery, was so professional and worked tirelessly to make sure that all of the arrangements were aligned with our vision. She handled EVERYTHING for us - coordinating with our outside vendors, managing the day-of setup and teardown of decorations, and making sure our reception ran smoothly. The winery itself is so beautiful and the wedding package is unbeatable for the area (I was actually surprised at how affordable it was). What makes this place standout is the private dinner they host for all of the engaged couples, where they prepare the ENTIRE menu for couples to make meal selections. I am still getting comments from our guests at how the food didn't even compare to other weddings they've attended. The winery and its staff really take the time to provide a personal experience and to make sure that you are satisfied. I could not have imagined a better place to have our reception.

District Winery wasn't built yet when we booked. But we felt pretty good about taking the risk after looking at renderings and reading reviews of Brooklyn Winery. We think some of our guests were equally excited about the venue than our actual wedding! It's a beautiful space with little need for decorations. It is also all-inclusive: food, tables, barrels, premium drinks, coat check, day-of coordinator, and even some decorations and accent pieces (candles, lanterns). The staff will set up all the decorations for you after you tell them how you'd like it. You don't have to worry or assign extra people to do this. We got to go to a tasting event with other couples where we got to try everything on the menu and all the drinks. It was a lot of fun and gave us confidence in our menu picks. The staff were always nice and welcoming. We didn't hear any rumblings about bad service during the wedding. We received a lot of compliments on the space and the food - even from some picky guests. The fried chicken and brussel sprouts are their signature items. The hanger steak is cooked to medium rare perfection. It's very good for wedding food! There is a wrap around balcony which makes for a nice break and sunset photos. They are very accommodating of venue walkthroughs for you or your vendors. The barrel room is beautiful. They even provide a small basket of emergency items inside the bathroom. Courtney was our coordinator and she always seemed happy and helpful. Our questions or requests were never met with a "no" or bad attitude by anyone. We highly recommend District Winery for a wedding venue. You will cut down your work by at least 25%! They let us do a rehearsal walk through the day before since no event was booked and we also got to include our dog in the ceremony. My one complaint would be that they disassembled my bridal bouquet and ceremony arrangements to put on the tables. I think they ended up putting more flowers on the guest tables than I wanted/planned so I didn't get to keep my bouquet or even see it again. Not sure if we were short on vases but wish they had asked first.

We were beyond thrilled with our Saturday evening wedding at DW!! We looked at DW before it was built. Immediately Brian (owner) impressed us with a hour-plus phone call where he detailed out every element of the wedding. We were confident DW knew how to host a wedding our guests would enjoy. Leading up to our wedding we visited DW many times and were always treated a special guests, and they consistently expressed how appreciative they were that booked their venue. Several times they allowed us to walk through the venue when our families visited. We were assigned to work with Rebecca to plan the wedding details. She was super responsive and on top of every element. We did a lot of the planning ourselves and considered hiring a day-of-coordinator, but there was no need. DW worked off a shared Google doc that made it easy to keep track of our seating chart, vendor list and the decor we were bringing to the venue. Rebecca was helpful in coordinating with our vendors leading up to the wedding but was a rockstar the day of. She was super organized, knew where everything was supposed to go, kept everyone on schedule. Our wedding was flawless! We've been wracking our brains to find something that went wrong or not as well as we would have hoped and can't think of a thing. Even our vendors said they loved working with DW because they were so organized and clear. This venue is built specifically to host weddings and the staff pull them off perfectly. Even our tasting was a fun experience - a night where we met 30 other couples and tried every single item DW offers. We didn't have time to eat that much at our wedding, but we took comfort in knowing we've already enjoyed their feast. They also provided the bridal party with snacks, a huge charcuterie board, and champagne. We were well taken care of! We are thrilled to have the memories but also to be part of such a respectable and friendly family, and can't wait to return to Ana to celebrate again and again!

If I could put 10 stars I would. We had our wedding at the District Winery this past weekend - and I cannot begin to explain how AMAZING everything was. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, the food was UNREAL, the wine is delicious - everything about this place is perfect. The events team made everything so easy and seamless. Our main point of contact was Courtney Ross and she is just fabulous - so organized and on top of that - she's just a great person and so easy to get along with. If you are looking to book a venue for any event, I'd try to book the District Winery. I more than highly recommend this place!!!

District Winery was the perfect venue from our first contact with Renee, the Sales Director, through the wedding. The location is gorgeous, situated in the lively Yards Park and along the Anacostia River. We were able to have an “outdoor” wedding on the heated, shielded roof deck in December while it was snowing. Courtney was the perfect day-of coordinator, answering our many questions leading up to the event and seamlessly handling everything during the event. The catering staff was courteous and professional, and we received multiple compliments on the food. We highly recommend the hanger steak and fried chicken! The wine was excellent, but that’s a given! The space was perfect for a small wedding. We had just under 100 people, but the space was utilized to make it seem like we filled the room. All in all, everything was perfect and we have zero complaints!

Honestly, District Winery and their team deserve so much more than 5 stars. We recently had our wedding at District Winery and it was the best evening we could have asked for, all thanks to the DW team and their stunning venue. Our first inquiry with the venue was with Brian, one of the owners, who is so committed and passionate about delivering a unique, warm and outstanding experience. They treat every couple as part of their family, and we feel so honored to be part of it now. Leading up to the event, Courtney and Rebecca (event POCs) were amazing to work with. Rebecca, our main POC, was accommodating, flexible, kind, quick to respond to our many questions, great attention to detail—the list goes on and on. All our friends and family raved about the food, wine, service, and of course, the beautiful space. There were no complaints at all, which is unheard of for a wedding! Something always goes wrong :) We are so honored to be part of the District Winery family now, and encourage every bride and groom out there to check out the venue and see how amazing they are first hand.

We were the very first wedding at District Winery and I cannot rave enough about how amazing this venue was. From the wonderful team (Brian, Courtney, Rebecca, Will, just to name a few) who took care of us in the months leading up to the wedding to the stunning views and exquisite details/decor of the space, we could not have picked a better venue. The owners (including Brian) show such pride and commitment in their work and DW is a true testament to this. Courtney (our event POC) was helpful, sweet, and willing to run any errand - even helping me back into my dress for the big wedding exit. The food was out of this world - everyone raved about it - which is saying a lot since wedding food (like airline food) is a bit notorious. And, the wine, my goodness the wine. I can't even begin to describe how on point the wine is. Even their chardonnay (which I don't normally drink) tasted like heaven in a glass. The backdrop was sensational. The warm wood accent creates such a cool winery vibe while being totally urban for those of us who crave a bit of rustic chic in a truly city setting. All of this set against the beautiful Anacostia waterfront with boats and greenery lending their natural beauty. Take a peek at some of our photos below! For all of those brides who have enough on their plates to plan without exhausting themselves with the details, in addition to taking care of everything in one fell swoop (tables, chairs, food, wine, etc.) they have so many accent pieces (bud vases, Mr./Mrs/ signs, votives, etc.) that you can borrow/use for your big day. Considering we booked the venue without seeing it (it was just beginning construction when we booked) and considering we were the first wedding, I can only imagine how amazing this venue will become going forward. Don't wait - just go ahead and book it now! We live less than a mile from the winery and know that this is going to be a spot we venture to on dates for a long time to come.
