We are absolutely thrilled to write a glowing 5-star review for DJ Connections, and especially for DJ Shakespeare, who truly made our wedding reception unforgettable! We were incredibly impressed with the entire process from start to finish.From the moment we connected with DJ Connections, their professionalism shone through. They gave us a fantastic call where they walked us through all our music selections, the event timeline, and a detailed breakdown of how everything would unfold. They even went above and beyond by suggesting songs that perfectly fit our wedding theme, which we absolutely loved and incorporated into our playlist. This thoughtful guidance made us feel completely confident and prepared for the big day.Then came the magic of the reception itself, all thanks to DJ Shakespeare! He completely livened things up and followed every single one of our requests to a T. He hosted the evening with incredible energy and charisma, making the entire night an absolute delight for us and all our guests. What truly stood out was his incredible skill and flexibility; toward the end of the night, we made a few last-minute music requests, and he seamlessly blended them into the set, making it sound like it was part of the original plan. It was truly beautiful!We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The whole DJ connection company was extremely professional and easy to work with. The website to choose songs on was easy to use and the several different people that we spoke to throughout the planning process all knew what was going on (even if we had never spoken before) and were extremely helpful with any questions that we had. The only thing I wish was different would have been us being able to actually meet the DJ before the wedding day. DJ did a fabulous job, but we were barely able to speak to him the entire night.

The DJ service and MC service were amazing. All of my guests danced all night! Nick is the best DJ!!! However, There was a mishap with the uplighting, so triple check with them if you use them for lighting services too. They are giving me a partial refund due to these issues, which I appreciate. Do keep in mind that you speak to customer service representatives on the phone, so you do not get to speak with or meet your actual DJ until your wedding day, which I did not like. You have to just trust that everything you want is communicated correctly to your actual DJ. They are also super upbeat on the phone, which I found mildly annoying. Some people might enjoy that level of excitement for their wedding, but I personally did not. It was worth it though for the ultimate turnout of the amazing dance party the whole night! I would recommend them to friends and family, minus the uplighting services.

DJ Connection was exactly what my wife and I needed for our wedding! They offer an affordable DJ and find someone to meet your needs based off of the event you are planning. They have a great system set up to input songs and build playlists and do-not-play-lists. They also set up two phone calls to go over wedding details and make sure they have what they need for the DJ they assign. They are service oriented and easy to reach! For our wedding day, the DJ set up on time and was ready to go for all the different events on our timeline! Really wish I could have given 4.5 stars because the only critiques we had were wishing we could have gotten in touch with our DJ before the wedding just to know his name and connect and that some songs we listed to be played during the dance part of our wedding didn't make it. Overall fantastic experience and would definitely recommend!

Even though DJ Connection is a large corporation, we felt everything was very intentional and specific to us. I had looked at some local DJ's and was unimpressed with their package offerings/price points. DJ Connection really heard us when we requested a DJ that would be a hype man but not cringy or annoying. I think that is an advantage of this company: they have so many DJ's that they most likely will have someone whose personality matches what you're looking for. Thanks to Marcus, our DJ, and the rest of the DJ Connection team!

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. The communication was terrible. For weddings you are supposed to have a phone call with the DJ they book for you. The person in their production office was extremely rude and was rushing me off the phone during my last call to set my music selections. He failed to get me in touch with my DJ nor did he even mention that I get to talk to the DJ. For my big day I was so let down by this company. The wrong song was played when I walked down the aisle, the wro g song 2as played when the bridal party entered the reception, and the wrong song was played for the groom and MIL dance. I called the Atlanta office and expressed my issues and complaints. The manager said he would talk to his team and get back to me. I never heard from them again. My wedding was in October 2024 and I've been patiently waiting for them to call me back. Please do not book this DJ for your events. I'll never get that moment back and I've been planning my wedding for 2 years and was completely let down by the DJ.

Very detailed and professional over the phone. Got a great deal from a wedding bridal show. The dj had great energy and kept the party moving.

DJ Johnny was phenomenal. My wedding was the best time of my life and I can thank DJ Johnny for that! He was great at coordinating as well, reading the room, and making sure things went smoothly. DJ connection however, was a bit aggravating. The portal sucks, you have to upload your music to Spotify and cross it over…. Or download your songs one by one. My Spotify playlists didnt cross over. So on my last call I ended up emailing my playlists to the production team. I was charged an extra $250 for separate ceremony site last minute after the original person booking me stated they had done many weddings at my venue so one location was adequate. I feel like if you are paying this much money for a DJ- the last thing you need to be doing is messing with an outdated portal and getting last minute charges. DJ Johnny saved you, DJ connection!

They were communicative and understanding.

Loved using them as our DJ service! The online form is so easy to use and made picking out songs and making a playlist so simple. Would definitely recommend!

DJ Connection was very accommodating and very professional. The music was a little loud for our preference, but David bent over backwards for us and our guests including lowering the volume of the music when asked. He made our reception the party of a lifetime for us. If you like a DJ that arrives on time, sets up quickly, and is animated to your preference, DJ Connection is the DJ company for you!

We loved working with DJ Asante at our wedding!! He was the MC and explained a series of games including the Shoe game. He kept the liveliness up with his projection and upbeat tone. We appreciated how quick DJ Asante responded to any issues that arose on Wedding Day (e.g. Timeline behind schedule, minor scripting update, etc). The lighting and microphones that were part of the package worked well so no issues there. However, we were not too fond of how the company assigns DJs last minute. We did not receive the name of our DJ until the week of our wedding. We would feel more comfortable knowing who our DJ was and having a meeting at least 2-4 weeks prior to explain our vision for the wedding and the MC scripts. Instead, we spoke to someone in the Production team who handled all the communications. Granted, they were very quick at responding to any emails and changes made to the playlist.

DJ Ashante was so much fun! He kept the music flowing and people dancing! The whole process with DJ Connection was simple.

Our DJ Shane was great, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of how the company is run. It seems like they have a pool of djs that they assign to events at the very last minute. I only found out who my dj was a couple of days prior to our wedding so that kinda stressed us out, I would have much rather of spoken to our dj about our event rather than speaking with the production team but it is what it is. The music and lighting were great and well worth the money we spent. The only thing I did not like during our wedding was the mic feedback during our ceremony and when people were giving speeches. Other than that, the event ran smoothly and our dj was great!

Our DJ had a great energy level, kept the dance floor active, and took special care to pronounce a tricky last name perfectly. Set up and transitions between ceremony and reception spaces were seamless. Our DJ, James, read the energy of the room very well and picked awesome transitions between songs. We wish the specific DJ would have been assigned a bit earlier (we didn’t have a name or contact until the day of the wedding). And, a run-through of timing would’ve helped the day flow a bit smoother.

The pre-wedding planning with DJ Connection was overall good, but we ran into issues on our wedding day. I want to start by saying that our DJ was a very nice person - they were on time to the event and very professional. However, at times it seemed like they were not actually a DJ and we felt that they were not properly prepared by the company. When we went to introduce ourselves to the DJ, they told us that our original DJ got sick and that they were filling in. Of course I understand that these type of things come up, but this was not communicated to us ahead of time. We had a friend mix our first dance for us that we had choreography to. We shared this file with the DJ company before the event, but when I asked the DJ to confirm that they had the file for our first dance on the wedding day, the DJ communicated that “headquarters” did not load it onto his board but that he pulled it up on Spotify (which would have completely surprised us and ruined the dance we choreographed). We had to scramble to get the file sent to the DJ so that our first dance wasn’t ruined. Not all of our “must play” songs were played throughout the reception which I can understand since we had added a lot, but the DJ even played a song on our “do not play” list that someone had requested. Throughout the planning process the company specifically asked for a song to play for the “anniversary dance” which we provided to them. On the wedding day, the DJ announced the anniversary dance, but clearly had no idea what an anniversary dance was. Towards the end of the song someone tried to explain to him that he should be announcing anniversaries throughout the dance so that the last couple on the dance floor was the one who had been together the longest, but they went in the wrong order and it was already too late - we just had to scrap it. There was absolutely no mixing or blending in between songs and instead the DJ kept using a record scratch sound. By the end of the night, we couldn’t help from rolling our eyes every time we heard the record scratch. Overall, we wish we had just skipped booking a DJ and used a Spotify playlist instead to save the cash and avoid some of this headache.

DJ connection is SO fun. The fun energy starts with your initial planning phone call and doesn't ever end! The planning portal and I were good friends for the months leading up to my wedding. I had so much fun planning out my big moment music. Our DJ was so great on the day of our event. She played everything just as I imagined it and kept our party going for hours. Everyone was raving about her music choices and loved the energy she gave.

We booked a DJ 11 months before the wedding with DJ Connections. We wanted to talk to our DJ and be on the same page etc. We were told that about 2 weeks out we would hear from our DJ. We kept inquiring and could get no answer who our DJ was. Even 48 hours before our wedding I was told they had been trying to confirm our DJ but we could not talk to them yet. We ended up canceling them less that 48 hours before the wedding because we had no confidence, they were really going to provide us with a DJ. They told us it was abnormal to want to talk to our DJ and that most people just pick their songs and fill out the sheets and the DJ shows up and follows along. That is NOT how we envisioned this at all. This is a super important job and no way we would do it that way. SO beware we have since learned they are DJ brokers and they outsource the job to a DJ. This is a very unprofessional vendor and not reliable in my books. I do not recommend this DJ service. They also would not refund our deposit saying we cancelled less than a week before the event. I felt they did not fulfill their part of the contract to have a DJ for us and they failed. Later they agreed to return the whole amount ONLY if we agreed to a non-disclosure confidential refund agreement and could take no action to review them and could post no bad reviews or speak of the problems we had with them. We did not agree to that so we COULD tell people what happened so it will hopefully prevent anyone else from going through what we went through.

Listen to me, hire this business and be entertained on your big day! Very professional staffs, very knowledgeable of their work and very communicative. They work to help fit your budget and make sure you are happy for your big day. They have an app to add or delete music you might like or dislike, and it’s super easy to use. DJ Asante from DJ Connection performed very amazingly as he kept all my wedding guests on the dance floor and we all had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this business.

My experience with DJ Connection was phenomenal. Our DJ knew what she was doing and kept our guests entertained. The planning process was very easy and they have a great system to plan out your day and help create a playlist. Our DJ was one of our best vendors for our wedding (right with our photographer and videographer). I cannot recommend DJ Connection enough.

What a nightmare. We went through a series of phone calls to ensure we were paired with the right DJ. Our DJ was very sweet but he played the entire songs (he did not DJ). We were stuck dancing to 3 minute songs the entire night. I even heard a few songs twice. We could have saved the money and hooked up Alexa. When it came to being a hype man, the DJ we were assigned just didn’t do what was expected of him. The announcements were weird and he was definitely unsure of what he was doing. It was not good. Would not recommend!

These guys were awesome from the day we emailed them! The planning process was so easy and painless. The day of the wedding, our DJ was who we were looking for. He played all the songs we requested, kept the music going until we were ready to turn it off, and cleaned up very quickly!

I cannot believe this company was actually within our budget! Every single person that we interacted with was SO professional. We had an amazing experience and really loved our DJ. We also had people come up to us and tell us how great he did - Shout out to Miles!

DJ Connection was FANTASTIC. They were incredibly kind and helpful from the beginning stages all the way up to the day before. Their online portal made it so easy to pick and plan music for the wedding day, and our DJ was kind and helped us have a blast of an evening.

Did everything perfectly.

The dJ connection was great throughout the process. It was a little confusing I didn’t realize at first that the people we planned most of the event with were not local. Even our final planning meeting was done without our actual dJ. I didn’t even know his name until I met him on the wedding day 2 hours before. That part was a little nerve wracking but our dJ that they sent pulled through and did a great job.

Our experience with DJ Connection was great! The booking process was easy, and the online portal is very convenient. Our only complaint was that we weren't able to contact our DJ directly prior to the wedding day. DJ Chanelle was great, and she adapted the playlist based on our guests' energy. Overall, it was a great value for our wedding.

I’ve heard lots of mixed reviews on these guys, but our DJ was exactly what we were hoping for! We were able to have a few planning calls with them and link all of our songs on the online portal they supplied. You can add any song as long as it can be found on Spotify! This includes all the instrumental versions like what we played during our ceremony.

Booking with DJ CONNECTIONS was seamless and impeccable. The made the process for choosing a DJ so simple I'm glad we chose them. I'm looking forward to our event even more 😊

This DJ was not good at all. He did not play all the songs I requested, messed up my ceremony song, and did not listen to the times I set on the song. He did not listen to the mix of music I requested at all. I’m very upset I paid so much for a terrible mix of music.

DJ Connection and our DJ, Seth, did a fantastic job throughout the whole process. The portal is a little confusing at first but once you get the hang of it, it becomes very easy to customize and add songs to your playlist. Although there can be some trepidation with working with a big company and not talking to the DJ beforehand, everything went off very smoothly. DJ Connection even helped me add in a secret song for my wife and sister in-law that was kept hidden from her until the very last moment. Seth kept the party going all night and there never seemed to be a lull on the dance floor. Additionally, we had an "after party" in a different room at the venue and Seth was able to quickly move his equipment and keep the energy going without missing a beat. We highly recommend DJ Connection.

Our DJ was fantastic for our wedding! The song selection process was so easy with their online portal and we were able to get every song we wanted! Not only was everything easy, but our DJ was so fun and made sure we all had a good time!

My DJ was amazing!! She was so friendly and checked in with me or my day of coordinator with any issues or questions. I highly recommend for any events! She made my reception and ceremony perfect!

These guys were awesome. I asked for a party and that's what I got. My guest loved the music choices. We danced for hours. My feet still hurt. Besides the day of awesomeness, DJ Connection has a great online portal that makes planning your event a breeze. everyone a talked to was a huge help. Getting ready for a wedding is hard and they made this part very easy.

Malcom was our DJ for our wedding day and he did not disappoint! He played all my songs that i picked out and added some additional dance songs at the end. He was so nice and checked on us multiple times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I highly recommend DJ connection. They helped make our big day perfect. They were always there during the planning process if I had any questions or concerns.

We hired DJ Connection for our Cincinnati wedding (Hindu and Catholic ) and had high hopes since the onboarding process was so streamlined but HATED our DJ on our wedding day, it was an overall terrible experience. A few notes/misses that occurred on my wedding day 1. DJ was asked to wear a suit/tuxedo since our wedding was black tie and he arrived at the venue in sweatpants and a hoodie. Had to be asked to change several times as guests arrived early and he changed into a button down and dark jeans. 2. Since we had a hindu/catholic wedding I created a sheet that detailed every song,album, singer, and even timed cues of when things had to be played/changed. I went over this with the DJ and the production team and the DJ the day of the wedding still missed important cues for the hindu ceremony. 3. DJ played the wrong version of the song (even though I specified) as I walked down the aisle 4. Was asked to not take song requests during cocktail hour/dinner and had to be reminded by me the bride several times to stick to the song list 5. Dinner was wrapping and cake was being served but the DJ decided to switch to dance music - of course our guests were looking forward to the cake but the DJ being so unaware of what was happening decided to get on the dance floor himself and dance by himself......This overall was just odd and very uncomfortable since guests just wanted to finish eating 6. When I complained about the service to the management team at DJ connections instead of helping resolve they asked for time to review the DJ's mic to confirm I was telling the truth, I understand wanting to protect your team but as a bride who had to be stressed on her wedding day due to the DJ's lack of performance is quite appalling in my opinion. Honestly both myself, my husband, and my planner had to be on him to do the most basic aspects of his job. When you're paying a vendor you expect them to get it right especially when you as the bride go above and beyond to make their life easier and this case DJ connections completely dropped the ball and I wish I had booked anyone else so I didn't have to stress on my wedding day.

Truly amazing experience! Our DJ Steven was super flexible. They helped set up a timeline for the day and when we went off timeline they continued to keep the party going. They made sure to communicate as much before the date so there was little confusion the day of.

My husband and I loved our experience with DJ Connection and specifically DJ Kym. DJ Connection was very responsive even when my husband and I had some confusion over time zones for meetings. DJ Kym provided the perfect amount of energy and flexibility for our wedding- including working with us when we had rain and low energy guests.

We hired DJ Connection for our wedding on 11/19/21 and i couldn’t have asked for a better company to be at my wedding. Our DJ read the room and kept the vibe going. My husband and I and our friends still talk about how fun our wedding was and it’s been 2 weeks. They played all of our requests and even asked if we had any specific artist we wanted to hear. My husband had thought of a song the day of and asked the DJ to play it and he had no problem with it! Not to mention the booking phone call is awesome! they go through everything and they’re the FUNNIEST people!

My wedding was last week and we had the pleasure of getting Elijah as our DJ. He honored every request we made, kept the energy we requested constant, and made our night flow smoothly. He had a great attitude and was super friendly too! We loved how professional and detail oriented he was too! 10/10! If we ever need a DJ again we hope it’s Elijah through DJ connection!!
