From the coordinators to the DJ himself, everyone at DJ connection was so courteous and professional, making the process not only easy but enjoyable! Not every vendor was so understanding when speaking to the maid of honor instead of the bride, but DJ connection never treated me wrong. They were very modern and cooperative above all else. As for the music on the day of, it was perfect! The DJ followed instructions to the t, but also had his own DJ flair that was perfect for the mood of the reception. The ceremony music was great as well. His set up was quick and easy and he knew exactly what he was doing, he even brought a whole set up for a surprise performance by some of the junior members of the wedding party. Needless to say if we had the chance to do it over again we would definitely make the same choice. DJ connection was the way to go, professional, affordable, and the overall right choice. The perfect backtrack to the perfect day!

e so excited. DJ connection has such a positive and charismatic vibe. I was always so pumped for our wedding after our discusssions, meetings and phone calls. They made thing so easy. I just had to go into my account and pick out our songs. They knew we had a 3 yr old too so we made some kids selections and even had a song just for our son. He was soooo excited and soooo cute when it came on. We had a family dance too. Their people are easily available and always helped me with questions and concerns. Everything was made super easy for us. The DJ that night was awesome. We had so much fun. I told everyone find me on the dance floor. I lived it up and had the night of my life thanks to DJ connection. Everything from planning, being there, professionalism, service, ceremony and reception was freaking stellar!! Thank you so much DJ connection y'all did not disappoint! We loved our experience with y'all. Thank you again for making our day/night it was perfect and so special.

I also want to mention, from previous comments I have seen – I was never given a “nickname” or called other than my own name “Mikyla” and when I e-mailed them with questions throughout the planning process I received a reply within 24 hours if a weekday. About one week from the wedding date I had a final phone meeting discussing timeline and who my DJ was going to be. We rated our event from 1-10 a 7/10 (how much involvement and crazy haha you want them to be) and it was exactly what we wanted wedding day. I want to send major kudos to our DJ from DJ connections, Matt (Rhodes?). He was dressed professionally, we heard him loud and clear without covering our ears during the reception, he was super attentive and worked super well with our day-of-coordinator, he played the songs we wanted and he avoided the songs we did not want played, he even was super accommodating when my dad placed a honeymoon fund lantern for people to donate to our honeymoon at the DJ table (a Filipino tradition – although dad wanted the money pinned to my dress like Filipino style but I was not about to let that happen ahah so he settled for a lantern, which our DJ mentioned to donate throughout the night). I believe DJ connections mentioned Matt has been with the company for 7+ years and he is phenomenal! Throughout the night, he made it about us, for example right before a special event (i.e. garter toss) he would say, “Alright everybody, give it up for our bride and groom, Mikyla and Ian”)! I LOVED that he did this because throughout the night we would get claps and cheers over and over again! Matt with DJ Connections was definitely everything we wanted in a DJ. Our experience with DJ connections was a GREAT one and Matt was exceptional!

nervous that I wouldn’t be able to do this or that the songs wouldn’t transition so well but the process was so easy! The DJ mixed the songs so well, all we had to do was update the list of songs we wanted to play on our big day. They also had a “do not play list” as well which was great! I appreciated that they really took the time to figure out what kind of wedding and reception we were looking to have. They listened so well to what we were looking for and they gave us the HUGE, AWESOME upbeat, exciting and massive celebration we were looking for!!! The only thing I was somewhat disappointed in was that I was not able to meet or speak with my DJ until the week of the wedding. I was really nervous because I wanted to make sure the assigned DJ was going to give us the kind of party we were looking for, everything luckily worked out SO WELL but if you're looking for that personal feel of knowing exactly what you’re going to get, this probably isn’t your preferred vendor. Overall SUPER happy with our experience and beyond thrilled! Would recommend to all my friends and family!

The music selection was spot on. My husband and I like a lot of music, so we were giving him a high variety of artists and genres to play from, but our DJ picked all the right songs. The dance floor wasn't empty once, and everyone commented on how awesome the music and music flow was. I definitely recommend DJ Connection!

I was so angry when I was told about this when getting back from my honeymoon. He also did not try to get the crowd involved or make it a fun time. No one even saw us cut our cake because no one heard him announce it because he did nothing to try to get anyone’s attention!!! My husband had to go up to him at least two different times to tell him to try to play more upbeat music and to get people on the dance floor and he never did. My cousin had to give him a list of about twenty songs and told him to just play those all in a row in order for people to be on the dance floor, but that was after majority of people had left so I was very frustrated. We also got charged for an extra set up fee because he did the music at our ceremony and he ended up using our church equipment and not his. Which was why I had to pay an extra fee because he would have had to set up his equipment in two different locations, but he never had to since he used our church equipment. This dj was the only bad part of our wedding day (besides the rain). I’m very upset that I was given a dj that did not care at all about making my reception a fun time and did not want to be there to entertain and make sure everyone had a good time. I’m sad to be writing such a bad review because every single person I talked to leading up to our wedding day was so friendly, helpful and wanted to make my day perfect! I just wish the dj did too.

One downside was that the DJ played the WRONG SONG for my walk in which was HUGE for me because it took me so much time to pick a song and it was a special song that reminded me of my mom. I was not able to walk down happily because he played some WEIRD opera song and I HATE OPERA. This company doesn't let you directly talk to the DJ but instead go through the production team. They didn't send me emails or any info like they said they would which had my coordinator and me confused and a little frustrated up until the day of the wedding. We didn't know any info and when you ask them "Can you give us contact info" they would always respond with "We will contact you" which they never did. So as much as the pricing was good, you pretty much get mediocre service. My guests were kind of bored with the song choices and there was a lot I was like "this is not what i wanted" throughout the night. BUT like I said, the dj was a good guy and nothing against him. He was cool to work with but if there was more communication and way to verify and double check on song choices on the company's side, that would've helped us a lot more and not have the wrong song for ME THE BRIDE to walk down to. Honestly would give a better rating but throughout the night I wasn't so happy with many things which is why I give 2 stars.

From there to about one week from your wedding date, you have a chance to fill out your online portal of songs you have chosen. We didn’t actually talk to our DJ at all before the wedding, but the girl who was on our calls both times was super nice, friendly, and really got to know us. We had DJ Ryan and he was the best! He was very helpful in setting up stuff or moving things when needed. He also kept us on schedule all night, and he would come over and ask if we wanted to wait to do something just in case we were busy. The last thing is that DJ Connection was fairly cheap compared to other DJ’s I researched, which was a huge plus for our budget.

Wedding planner had worked with them before and recommended a specific dj who I requested at the first meeting. Months went by and the month of my wedding came. I had my last meeting with them. I had specific songs I wanted to get played. We went through the time line and I had requested the DJ my wedding planner had worked with before. At that time they told me that due to such short notice they may not be able to match me with that specific dj. I explained that I had requested them initially. They had nothing to say. Then, I told them that I was concerned that the dj would not be able to play the genre of music I wanted as my family is hispanic and wanted some spanish music from different genres to be played. They did not say anything in regards to my concern or do anything make me feel better. I had told them that I wanted the dj to be pretty involved so that he could hype my guests and everyone would be dancing at all times. The wedding day came and the DJ did not play the song my husband and I wanted to be introduced to. My father and daughter dance came around and he failed to present me and my father. My husband was so upset. The music just started to play and my wedding planner just told me to start dancing.... It was time for speeches and it was as if he did not do a sound check because we had to keep messing with the microphone. I do not believe everyone in the venue heard the speeches. Every time a new song played it was a different genre. He never said anything on the microphone. He did nothing to be involved the way I wanted him to be involved. I am pretty upset with all of this and so is my husband. Even my guests were coming up to me and asking me what was going on with the dj. My brother was so annoyed with him and his quality of work. My friends were asking me if he had even done weddings before. I feel like DJ Connection ruined my wedding. I waited 2 weeks to write this review because I'm saddened just thinking about this. I spent so much time planning my wedding day and the music was not something I thought was going to be an issue. I regret hiring DJ Connection for my wedding. The DJ is a huge part of the wedding and I feel like my needs were not met. They were so detailed and for what? They sent me an inexperienced DJ that did nothing to prepare. He did not even follow the timeline given to him. The songs we wanted him to play were on the timeline..... Spare yourself the time giving this company a chance. They ruined my wedding and they will do the same to yours. They sent me an email regarding a review. I reviewed them honestly and they have yet to reach out to me to give me a mere apology.

My husbands family loves Cumbia music, and we specifically requested that many of the songs be of that style. Not only did he not know that, but he was unable to get any of that music at the last minute, and none of it got played. Also, and this is probably a personal pet peeve, but I specifically asked the DJ NOT to introduce us as “Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, and he did. It felt like the DJ was on auto pilot. No attention to detail. Honestly, these DJs were fine, if you just want someone to show up and play party music. But if you have a specific vision, I wouldn’t go with them.

HE ROAD. I had booked with DJ connection nine months prior to my wedding, and ended up canceling their service is less than two weeks before my event. Less than two weeks for my event, DJ connection STILL did not have a DJ for my event. Beyond being unprepared, they seemed very unmotivated to assigned me one. I expressed the importance of me meeting with my DJ beforehand due to my wide variety of attendants that would be present. I think that this is extremely unprofessional and horrible customer service. As a bride who is paying for someone else’s services, we should not be left in the dark on who is going to be at our event. A DJ sets the tone for the whole night, and not being able to communicate with who was supposed to be in charge of your special Day is a horrible feeling to have. It is also horrible customer service on their part. Beyond not having someone selected for my wedding, there were many major songs throughout my wedding that I wanted to have that DJ connections still had it downloaded yet. It wasn’t until I left him a poor review and canceled services with them that I got a call back and someone was truly willing to give me their undivided attention. I do realize that I lost a hefty deposit fee, but throwing away some money seems more important to me than having no clue who my DJ is going to be, if they’re even going to be good, and regretting it for the rest Of my life. I am extremely disappointed in my experience, and do you think that many brides to come will experience this issue until DJ connection changes their policies

Right before the big day they will reach out and make sure everything is good and on track and go over the timeline of the day. I had a wedding coordinator who helped with the timeline, but if you don’t DJ connections is great to help and be the MC. Day of wedding I met our DJ, Rudy, at the reception. He Immediately came up to me to introduce himeslef and ensure everything we planned was still a go. I had just a few requests and he was so happy to add them to our list of songs. All night long he played our requested songs, played some other that our guest requested and was just an absolute blast to have our wedding. Rudy and all those at DJ connection made my wedding night the dream party we always wanted.

number one priority which I made clear to the organizers; who made the planning portion seem like a breeze. A week before the wedding I called DJ connection to touch base and go over a few things, for some reason I was nervous about the DJ. No one could connect me with the DJ or to anyone who could pass on the information, so I decided I was being “that bride” and gave up. This I regret immensely because the DJ, who was very nice, showed up in plaid at a black-tie wedding. The music wasn’t loud enough during the ceremony which was very disappointing to me because the music was so dear to my heart. During the reception, my guests enjoyed the playlist and the young attendees were dancing all night-that’s a positive! The older guests exited quickly. But I had spent hours and hours choosing the songs for our wedding and only maybe ten out of the fifty on our must-play list were played. The DJ did mention that some brides want every single song played and that’s a headache and I said “I’m not like that” but I didn’t think he meant the must-playlist. Given the majority of the reviews, I assume this isn’t always the case but I had to share my experience for future brides.

I appreciated their website's planning tools for music/scheduling as it made it very easy for us to add all the music we wanted for each part of the ceremony/reception. DJ Connection was even able to accommodate us to play foreign music not in their catalogue and it worked out great! The biggest surprise from DJ Connection was the deejay they sent us - Jesse Williams! We were SO lucky to have her and she was so sweet and accommodating! We had some last-minute changes to our schedule/music the night of and she was more than happy to make those updates for us on-the-spot. On top of that, she had a great, fun personality and was overall just so sweet. She's a huge reason for why my husband and I will remember our wedding night so fondly. (Several of my guests approached me in the days after asking if I'd hired a friend to deejay because Jesse and I appeared to be intimate friends - they didn't know I'd only met her that night! A few of my guests had even chatted her up during the night and had great compliments for her as well.) My only disappointment was the extra fee we paid for a projector and canvas rental to present our slideshows. While the projector worked out just fine, the canvas was pretty small, so not very effective for a large room of guests - I do not feel it was worth the value of $250. Overall, 5+ stars for Jesse and DJ Connection's planning services, but I reduced 1 star for the projector canvas as it was too small for any wedding larger than 20 people.

iring a local dj with your date/wedding. But the fact that we did not meet Sam until he arrived at the venue was extremely nerve-wracking and added a lot of stress to stressful wedding planning. I understand why they think they should do it - what if something happens to that person who you made rapport with, etc. but I think it could be handled better. We were nervous booking because reviews either seemed to be 5 star amazing or 1 star bad and it depended largely on the DJ each couple got. We went ahead and booked because they offered a great value and really just a whole package, but it was a little scary too. Our videographer had a similar model - you booked the company and they paired you with someone right before the wedding. But we were able to have a phone conversation with our person two days before the wedding and that just helped my anxiety about it so much. Yes we spoke with various staff members at DJ Connection leading up to the date - going over our details, helping us plan, etc. But it was nerve wracking knowing I wasn't going to meet the person until they were there. We expressed our concerns while booking and were told that while they normally didn't do it, we could have a phone conversation the week of with the DJ we were assigned. As we got closer, a different staff member said that wasn't going to happen because that wasn't how they did things and it didn't, which was a bummer. Their website that we used to add songs was vey easy to navigate, if there was a song we wanted they didn't have you could just give them the iTunes link. They played the songs we wanted, matched our eclectic style well, and didn't play the songs on our do-not-play list. They arrived on time to set everything up, the DJ met with us to go over timeline and verify details, he checked in with us throughout the day, made sure someone made us a plate of food and that we took time to eat. He helped, as they promised, with event coordination and helped things to run smoothly. When we got out of sync of our timeline - due to no fault of theirs - he met with us and asked us how we wanted to adjust the timeline to fit the rest of the evening. Equipment they used was great, had great sound quality, the uplighting looked awesome. Overall they were wonderful. And as stated above we didn't give 5 stars just because of not being able to talk with our DJ ahead of time, as we were told we would be able to. We know that seems small but it just added to our stress. It just took away some of the personal aspect of it, we know it was a random assignment but it doesn't necessarily need to feel that way. It removed the personal touches we were able to get with our other vendors. But again, overall very happy. DJ Sam was the best!
