DJ Connection

We used DJ Connection for our wedding and we were not disappointed! Demar was fantastic and the communication and ease of use of their system made our day run so smooth!!

Let me preface by saying we did NOT book with DJ Connection. I was cold called by them to discuss my wedding and got trapped into a lengthy call with them that was honestly super annoying. I did not contact them back, as I was not interested in moving forward. They, again, called me back based on availability I had given them before and wanted to speak with me and my fiancee. They explained their process and asked us over an hours worth of questions. When they told us, per their company’s rules, we wouldn’t know who our DJ would be until a week or less before the wedding (he said it’s because their availability could change, they could get sick, take the day off, etc), I decided it was not for me. If their DJs are so unreliable that you can’t even rebook because they “may not show up and we would swap them out”, then it doesn’t seem like a good vendor. I let them know that I would give them an answer the next day by noon. I thought that was plenty reasonable, as I had another meeting with a potential DJ at 11 am the next day and wanted to weigh our options. The DJ on the phone started to get very rude and said “I’m just really confused what is wrong with us? Why aren’t you picking us?” He insisted I book because my date “may not” be available the next day and I explained I was aware and wasn’t expecting them to hold the date. He then continued with “Well what is it about the other DJ that’s so much better than us that you even want to consider them? If we check your boxes then why not book right now? Did we do something wrong and you don’t like us now?”. It was the most strange and intrusive call I’ve had with a company in my life. He was drilling me over and over again and got angry and very insecure. He put me on the spot for about 10 minutes before I hung up because it was too much pressure. Then, an hour later, my fiancee (who has LinkedIn Premium) saw that they were LOOKING HIM UP ON LINKEDIN?? I found that so intrusive and inappropriate, honestly really creepy. He wasn’t the one who contacted them and they had none of his info, except his name. If this is how they plan on getting their clients, I would steer clear. If you aren’t 100% sure they’re your choice then do not speak with them on the phone, and keep your information as private as possible.

We had a great experience with DJ Connection! Their team was communicative and easy to work with. Their website allows you to hand select all of your music. Our DJ made sure to follow our crowd and kept the dance floor hype.

We loved DJ Connection - we actually had another DJ lined up when we got a call saying we had won an uplighting package for DJ Connection. Even though they were going to be a little more than our original DJ, we read through their reviews, took a chance, and we're so happy we did! Our DJ Lawrence was incredible. He matched our vibe perfectly (so well that a bunch of our guests invited him out after the wedding). He checked in with us before the reception began just to make sure he had everything just the way we liked it, he was flexible with our timeline when other things came up throughout the night, and he hit all of our must plays! The planning phase with DJ connection is interesting - the calls left us a little weary, but everything came together so perfectly. Leading up to your event, you get an initial phone call with one of their DJs from the corporate office (not your wedding DJ specifically), which is pretty thorough in getting your likes, dislikes, special requests, timeline, etc. They offer suggestions when you aren't sure and ask clarifying questions as needed, and you can tell they know what to expect from a well-run wedding. Then you get another final call with a different corporate DJ (still not your DJ), just to review what you submitted last and make any final changes. Then you "lock in" which sounds like a hard "can't change anything now," but they were still pretty receptive and flexible to the little things we wanted to adjust! You don't meet your DJ until the day-of, but again, it seemed like he was well-informed and knew everything ahead of time! Overall, we LOVED our experience with DJ connection!!

Our DJ was amazing! Kept everything on track and running smoothly. Brought exactly the right amount of energy and did everything he could to ensure our day was special!

The communication was great and they were very helpful till the day of. The DJ they sent to my event was horrible. He only played his type of music and didn’t go by my music type what so ever. My wedding ended up ending 4 hours early because he didn’t vibe with the guest what so ever. It literally started a fight between me and my now ex husband because the DJ wouldn’t listen. It made the whole wedding a disaster. Having them there was a waste of money for sure:/ they made it alot more stressful then it should have been!

We used DJ connection for our big day and they were amazing! They had a great website for us to organize our music and they were accommodating during our wedding by adjusting music to the guests requests and reading the room:)

DJ connection was great to work with. They were communicative and cooperative to what we wanted for our wedding. DJ IAN was fantastic, we were on the dance floor til the last song!

DJ connections was great! Every phone call I had was detailed and inspired confidence in them getting everything right on the big day. We left a lot of the music choices up to the DJ and he did a great job picking songs that kept everyone on the dance floor. He was very professional and made a point to introduce himself to us shortly after the ceremony and even brought us some water which was so kind and thoughtful.

Jade was absolutely wonderful! He was the perfect DJ for our wedding. We were able to send in playlists and the online system was pretty easy to work with. They were very communicative and made sure to check in closer to the event to ensure we got everything we wanted out of the experience. Jade was also very flexible during the wedding day as he had to make some adjustments due to weather. He went with the flow and made the night absolutely amazing. Everyone really enjoyed the dancing in the music. Definitely recommend this company and especially recommend Jade as a DJ.

DJ Connection does a great job through the sales process, which makes it all the more disappointing when the rest of the experience with the company doesn't fit the expectation you form when being sold. They have great pricing and enthusiastic salespeople, and everyone else you speak with through the process will woo you with their enthusiasm. We read reviews about other couples having trouble with not getting to talk to their assigned DJ until, in some cases, the day of the wedding. This proved to be a challenge for us as well, and despite DJ Connections process for trying to pair you with a DJ that fits with your expectations, the Production Department at DJ Connection fell short of this goal. We had DJ Justus, who did a fine job at our wedding but we felt as though he simply played songs off a playlist and didn't really do much else beyond equipment set up & tear down, and the standard introductions throughout the night. There was no mixing of music, and songs were simply queued up one and then another like I could do myself using Spotify. He was polite and professional but far more low-key than we were expecting based on our communications with the production department. That didn't ruin our experience on our wedding with the DJ though, and I was glad to have DJ Justus. It would have been nice to have been able to speak to him sooner than the week of the wedding, but I understand that's just how this company operates (unfortunately). Where my disappointment really lies is with the Production Department; arguably the most important part of the DJ Connection process. We had originally submitted song requests through their (extremely limiting) online portal and were assured that we could submit changes to the requests, which we did. After not seeing the changes within the portal from our side, we called and confirmed multiple times with various members of the production department, including the manager of the department that our changes had been made. Boy, was it disappointing when on our wedding day, we discovered that they were using only the original song requests. We know this for a fact because songs that we specifically requested to be removed were being played and all new songs were not played to our knowledge. Also disappointing was when the production department manager, on a call with my wife and I spoiled a surprise that my wife had been planning which required the participation of the DJ. When he realized what we had done, he laughed, and then apologized. It was unprofessional and we were disappointed that due to the structure of this company, he wasn't informed that this part of the day was supposed to be a surprise. I can't imagine we were the first couple to try to have a surprise involving music. It astounds me that this company doesn't have a good process or some way of keeping surprises a surprise. We still had a wonderful wedding, and DJ Justus did a good job, but if I were to do it all over again, I 100% would spend the extra money needed to hire an independent DJ who is in control of the whole process and that we can talk directly with. I would not recommend DJ Connection at all due to our experience with the Production Department. To their credit, after submitting a post-event survey, the production department manager called me with the desire to make things right. When it mattered though, they fell short and the wedding only happens once.

We loved our DJ! He was very charismatic, we loved how he brought up the energy and then fed off of what the guests gave back. He played a perfect mix of the music genres and time periods we gave him. We had so many compliments on the music, and he was so kind and thoughtful throughout the whole night. 10/10 would hire DJ Connection again!!!

We loved our DJ Elijah with DJ Connection! Working with DJ Connection is a little different model in that all of your upfront conversations with DJ Connection are not directly with your DJ. You work with another staff member to talk through DJ packages, as well as for a finalizing call prior to your date. While you won't know the specific DJ at this point, you do get to give detail on the energy level you're looking for, etc. They also have a portal to choose songs for must plays, do not play, as well as special moments like your processional, first dances, etc. If the song you want isn't available, they'll purchase it for you if it is available elsewhere. They also can upload a song for you if you want to make a custom mix, etc. (We did this for our Father/Daughter Dance.) We met our DJ (Elijah) on the day of and he stopped over to introduce himself. He was super friendly and we were constantly chuckling at him getting into the music at his DJ stand. At a few points, he even came out onto the dance floor and interacted with our guests (particularly our little niece Ellie, who did the dougie with him.) Elijah was also great because he read the room well and adjusted accordingly. He played all of our must-plays, but when he noticed the Swifties getting into it, he played another Taylor Swift song, as well. He made similar adjustments throughout the night. In general, he was fun to be around and helped make our day great!

DJ Connection was fabulous to work with! They did a great job working with the venue for set up and tear down. They helped make the reception memorable and kept the party lively and everyone dancing! I highly recommend!

I am torn about how to review DJ Connection. To be honest, it ended up being one of the vendors that we were most stressed about towards the end of the process. However, our DJ ended up being fantastic! Positives: - there's a portal that you can use to select a large portion of the music - DJ Jade was excellent!!!!! He played and brought the vibe that we were hoping for! We got a lot of compliments on the music. He also came and introduced himself to us both when he arrived. Would 100% work with him again! Negative: - You are not be able to speak one word to your DJ before the event and you will not know anything about your DJ before your event. We were only given his name a week before the wedding. We ended up being lucky and getting a great DJ, but I have heard several horror stories. While I would recommend DJ Jade, I would recommend spending a little more to go with a DJ company where you have a bit more of a connection with the DJ before the day of the event.

We had DJ Joe and he was INCREDIBLE! He was part hype man, part reception facilitator. He helped move things along and was so crazy fun. He is like an unofficial part of our bridal party now. Everyone we spoke to at DJ Connection leading up to our event was so kind and friendly and helped us navigate through the process so easily. They helped make this part of the wedding planning process so smooth and stress-free! Highly recommend!

DJ Connection was so amazing from our first interaction! They had a consultation with us to figure out all of our wants and needs, and everything was perfect. Our DJ was so helpful and flexible and really brought the life to the party. I am SO thankful we chose them for our special day!!

Had an amazing experience with our DJ! He was so professional and on top of it the entire night! He moved speakers inside and out as needed depending on our location. All playlists I set up worked perfectly. He kept in communication the entire night to see what we needed. Would highly recommend, worth every penny!

They provided my wedding with everything I ever wanted in a DJ! Our DJ was absolutely amazing and checked with us on every single thing and made sure it was what WE wanted. He also let my little nephew make an announcement and it made his whole night!

We used DJ Connection for our October 1st wedding and we couldn’t have been more pleased! Love the easy to use portal, all details reviewed before the big day and our DJ was AWESOME!! Guests were talking about JT (Jefferson Toenail as he called himself) for weeks after the wedding!

My wedding planner recommended DJ connection to me. They were very responsive and organized. They had everything laid out for me and asked questions that I would have never thought of. They were very interactive during the reception and made sure all the songs we wanted were played.

DJ Connection was amazing throughout the entire planning process! They are so organized and communicate so well with all the DJ's in their network. The log-in portal that we used to add songs was very user-friendly. Our DJ was DJ David, he was wonderful. He arrived early to the ceremony and made sure to check-in with all the appropriate people. We had to move our cocktail hour inside and he was super flexible with playing music inside on a portable speaker so he didn't need to move his equipment. The mic cut out a few times during the ceremony but that was because it was super windy. DJ Connection has lapel mics for officiants which most prefer instead of the hand-held. David caught on really quickly to the vibe of music we were going for and checked-in with us throughout the entire night.

So amazing! They pay attention to every detail and are there along the whole way. David was awesome, super flexible and everything was just perfect. I cant recommend them enough!

We had DJ Tray for our wedding on 9/10/22 and he was AMAZING! Checked up on my husband and I multiple times throughout the night and kept the crowd out on the dance floor until the very last song. He read the room extremely well and knew exactly what music to play. We received SO many compliments. You get so much for the price! The only downside is that you don’t know who your DJ will be until the day of. Still, we found that was worth it and it totally paid off.

Our DJ day of was Jovet. He was great. Very professional, listened to us, and did well with checking in with all vendors about different events. You can’t request DJs but I hit the jackpot with him! I did not feel very supported in the time leading up to the wedding and would have liked to have a more personal experience if I could do it all over again. I thought the DJ would help me make my reception timeline, make more song suggestions, and make sure that my timing seemed reasonable. Instead I had to make my timeline on my own by researching timelines and then thankfully had a very supportive venue coordinator that also validated my timeline was appropriate. I understand that to keep costs low you need to work efficiently but I didn’t realize it would be that impersonal. Overall, extremely happy with Jovet and if you can get him I would definitely recommend this company!

We really had a great experience with our DJ! He was very communicative, professional, and did a great job facilitating the evening and music! I had a pretty specific list of music that I wanted played, and he stuck to that list. He even adjusted as we wanted to end the night early. At times, it was difficult to hear (we had a head table that was the furthest from the DJ stand), and the dismissing of tables for the buffet was slightly out of order, but aside from those minute details, the night ran effortlessly and smooth! Thank you DJ connection!!!

We hired DJ Connection for our wedding reception based off the recommendation of my sister who had them for her wedding reception. They made the night so fun and upbeat. We had a lot of different changes occur during our wedding planning and DJ Connection was always responsive and able to adapt when we provided them with the changes. They were truly amazing and I definitely recommend them for any event.

All in all we loved having DJ connection at our wedding. There were a couple slip ups at the start of the ceremony and some issue with the equipment during our secret dance, but nothing detrimental. The website was fairly easy to use and they communicated efficiently 2 weeks leading up to our wedding and during the booking process.They were very nice and professional and we enjoyed having them at our wedding! Our guests commented they were the best DJs they had seen at a wedding! Highly recommend having them at you wedding

My husband and I had a great experience with DJ Connection for our wedding! We had originally hired a different DJ who cancelled days before our wedding. We reached out to DJ Connection, who responded right away and walked us through the booking and planning process in an organized, kind, and professional way. DJ Trey was our DJ, and he did a great job of reading the room and adjusting the music accordingly and checked in a few times (just the right amount) to see how we were liking the music. He even offered to get us some water while we were having our pictures taken after the ceremony. I would highly recommend DJ Connection and DJ Trey to anyone looking for music for their wedding.

DJ Joe from DJ Connection was incredibly fast and professional! He was able to keep our smaller wedding going into the night and was great with requests. DJ Connection overall was extremely easy to work with, including getting set up and planned for the day.

I would recommend DJ Connection with high praise to any of my friends getting married. They were the most affordable option I found and they ended up being one of the higest quality vendors I used. Because they are such a big company and because you do not meet your DJ until the Big Day, I was a bit nervous to commit. I made the decision based on budget alone. A DJ can make or break your reception, so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. And wow they did not disappoint! Our DJ Nathan was very young - he had to be in college. But he was the best DJ I have ever seen at a wedding. I am not making this up! He went through everything with me the day of the wedding, consistently checked in on me during the reception to make sure I was taken care of (if I had enough water, if I liked the music, gave me time updates, etc). He even made sure to take my bouquet for the cake cutting so they wouldn't be in the way. He was DJ and a bride whisperer! There was never a moment where people were not on the dance floor. He easily read the mood of the room and made sure to find songs that matched. He was a great EmC and the night flowed smoothly. Everything went off without a single hitch. I only wish I had a way to contact him and thank him. For days after my wedding, people talked about how fun the reception was and how great the DJ did. If you want that much hype after your wedding and want a night people will never forget, choose DJ Connection. The process is simple and the results fantastic.

They were wonderful to work with when we had to postpone for Covid and kept the same price through the changes, which is always wonderful. My husband and I aren't big on the music that's super popular today and they were able to find really good fits that went in with our venue and our personalities. The only issue we had was that the DJ played the music way to loud for the size of the venue, even after asking for them to turn it down a bit. If it had been a venue double the size, it would have been fine. But if that's the only complaint, I'd say that's a pretty good thing!

DJ Connection gave us an amazing quote for our wedding ceremony and reception. I do wish we would have been in contact with the DJ sooner than the day of our wedding, but it was not such a big deal. Justus was kind, and handled our music almost perfectly. He unfortunately did mix up the songs for my father and step-father dances, which was more disappointing than I let on at the time. He did own up to it when he had a moment, so I give props to that. He was also kind of quiet, but I'm not entirely sure if his voice was just low or if the mic's volume was low. It was difficult for me to make out what he was saying during out shoe game. Aside from these minor things, Justus served us well and we were lucky to have him. He played every other song we requested, and was very polite when introducing himself. I'm glad we got to work with DJ Connection, specifically with him!

I wish I could say we had the same experience as all the other couples here had with DJ Connection. The booking process with DJ Connection was not an issue and they have an online portal where you can pretty much plan your event, which is great. I did ask if we would get to meet our DJ before our wedding and we were told no, but that our DJ would be DJ Braxton; that made me feel a little uneasy, but we went with it. The ceremony and cocktail hour went fine. Even the beginning portion of the reception went okay, but then when the dance floor was opened the DJ just phoned it in. He would make sure music was playing, but he sat there on his phone or reading a book. He did not interact with us and at times it was quite clear the energy was lacking and we could have used a good DJ to get it going. He would play line dance songs and it was obvious no one knew how to dance them, and I've seen other DJs get out there and teach the guests.... he sat there not paying attention to us. I mentioned all this in the survey that was sent out and the company did try to reach out to me, but I was on my honeymoon and we've had trouble connecting since then.

My wife and I used DJ Connections for our wedding MC. We told them exactly what we wanted in a DJ/MC from directing the crowd to playing specific music at specific times. We got exactly what we requested. Our DJ was professional and fun!!!! He didn't hesitate when it came to last minute request. He was quick on his feet to pivot when needed and came with high energy for the entire reception. My only complaint was that you are not allowed to meet your DJ until the day of your event (in our case on our wedding day). This caused a less seamless day-of coordination, in my opinion. Overall we highly recommend DJ Connections for any future events. - The Joneses

We had a great experience with DJ connection! It did initially seem like no one was on the same page or communicating because each time we had a call we had to re-iterate our important songs and timeline, however we have no complaints about the wedding day. Johnny was so friendly and professional and he tried his best to make sure our day was special.

DJ Connection did an awesome job at our wedding! There were a couple things that were discussed at our final planning meeting that were not executed the day of, but it was nothing major that was make or break. The DJ fit well with our style and was flexible with any requests we made as well

DJ Connection was the first vendor that we booked for our wedding. It made it super easy for us to choose our music that we want to play the day of our wedding. They have a portal where you can go and add songs that you want played for open dancing and they have a timeline where you can go in and add what song you want for the bridal party entry, the bride entering, the recessional, the cocktail hour. Whenever I had questions, they were helpful and quickly responsive. We had DJ Kevin who was awesome that night and had everyone out on the dance floor till the last dance. Now you will not find out who your DJ is until it gets closer to your wedding however we were not nervous about that at all considering how professional they were every time we spoke with them. I do want to say that Nora at DJ Connection was a huge help as well. They sent us a thank you card after our wedding And I thought that was a super sweet touch.

Our DJ just wasn't a great MC and we felt that it was a damper on our wedding day. There were so many little things that added up to feeling dissatisfied - not pausing before playing the bride processional song, not announcing our first dance before playing the song, not announcing the cake cutting, messing up the anniversary dance, playing a song intended for our ring bearer and the other small children after most of them had left the party, playing group dance songs when we had asked not to have them, and I'm sure a few other things that I can't remember. I just really would not recommend going with this company. We went with them because we were able to book them at a low price (some sort of holiday sale), but in retrospect I would have rather gone with a DJ that cost a bit more but that we could have worked with more beforehand. We read other reviews like this one but thought that the price was too good to pass up - it's worth a little more to get someone better, TRUST ME!

DJ Connections was great for our wedding. At our venue, they coordinated setup in two different spaces, helped us use personalized songs and worked with us to wonderfully manage the night. The communication with us beforehand was good. They set up different meetings to establish exactly what we wanted not only with the songs, but also how we wanted things announced. They were very attentive with us. The day of DJ was outstanding. He kept the crowd focused on us throughout the night and kept everyone entertained during open dancing.

Tray was so good! I had a really easy time with booking, discussing musical tastes, and using the portal to pick songs for the ceremony (and 90% of my songs weren't on their list so were added in with youtube references and he nailed it anyway). He was so helpful with the progression of the day from the ceremony, to dinner, to party. LOVED it.

The customer service team at DJ Connections is so much fun. We were stressed to plan our wedding in three months and our vendors helped us to enjoy the moment and look forward to our big day. Our DJ, Tray, was entertaining and it was like he had been a part of our friend group for years. All of our friends talked about how great he was and we agree!! As a preferred vendor with our venue, we were so glad we listened to their recommendation. We’re more than happy with the service and quality we received for our wedding.

I did not hire DJ connection, but I did reach out to them. I feel like prospective customers should get a heads up that they pay their DJs in accordance to how you rate them in a survey afterwards and I personally I don't like that business model. They also only offer radio edited versions of songs from what I understand. I got a quote for just basic package things, and it was $3000. They did not offer me any cheaper packages after I mentioned that is out of my budget. Hopefully this info helps other prospective customers.

It was very easy to set up everything just the way we wanted it! The staff we talked to over the phone was very friendly and our DJ Nathan was very fun to work with! He was very attentive.

DJ Connections was great! Our DJ was friendly, attentive to detail, professional, fun and accommodated all of our requests. Exceeded our expectations!

DJ Connection literally saved my walk down the aisle. We had one song for everyone to enter on so that it could play through all the way. Not a ton of people in the procession, but somebody went too late. Before the song ended with me maybe 1/3-1/2 to the altar, our dj thought fast and looped the end melody back in seamlessly for the extra time I needed. 100% recommend and I would hire them again in a heartbeat for any big celebration.
