talking to Nolan until the day of, I didn’t even know his name let alone talk directly to him. When I called initially I specifically asked if we were going to speak with our dj prior to day of because that was important to me. They told me I would get a call about a week prior which I didn’t feel great about still but tried to have faith in their system. And then a week prior we had our planning meeting and it was with a rep from dj connection not our dj. I asked if I could talk to him instead and they said they hadn’t assigned anyone yet and couldn’t even give me a name. They told me that they’d get back to me in a couple days about setting up a call with our dj and theyd reach back out. They didn’t so I sent an email and they said they didn’t know if they could make it happen because our dj has another job and scheduling wasnt going to work. We went through all details with the rep and they relayed to the dj but it still was a major stresser leading up to the day. So, depending on what you’re looking for im the service i would just be aware of their policy

professional, friendly, discreet, and had great energy. He came prepared and was awesome at asking necessary questions throughout the night. He made sure we were happy with music choices and went above and beyond. We couldn't have had a better DJ!

nnoying. I did not contact them back, as I was not interested in moving forward. They, again, called me back based on availability I had given them before and wanted to speak with me and my fiancee. They explained their process and asked us over an hours worth of questions. When they told us, per their company’s rules, we wouldn’t know who our DJ would be until a week or less before the wedding (he said it’s because their availability could change, they could get sick, take the day off, etc), I decided it was not for me. If their DJs are so unreliable that you can’t even rebook because they “may not show up and we would swap them out”, then it doesn’t seem like a good vendor. I let them know that I would give them an answer the next day by noon. I thought that was plenty reasonable, as I had another meeting with a potential DJ at 11 am the next day and wanted to weigh our options. The DJ on the phone started to get very rude and said “I’m just really confused what is wrong with us? Why aren’t you picking us?” He insisted I book because my date “may not” be available the next day and I explained I was aware and wasn’t expecting them to hold the date. He then continued with “Well what is it about the other DJ that’s so much better than us that you even want to consider them? If we check your boxes then why not book right now? Did we do something wrong and you don’t like us now?”. It was the most strange and intrusive call I’ve had with a company in my life. He was drilling me over and over again and got angry and very insecure. He put me on the spot for about 10 minutes before I hung up because it was too much pressure. Then, an hour later, my fiancee (who has LinkedIn Premium) saw that they were LOOKING HIM UP ON LINKEDIN?? I found that so intrusive and inappropriate, honestly really creepy. He wasn’t the one who contacted them and they had none of his info, except his name. If this is how they plan on getting their clients, I would steer clear. If you aren’t 100% sure they’re your choice then do not speak with them on the phone, and keep your information as private as possible.

e more than our original DJ, we read through their reviews, took a chance, and we're so happy we did! Our DJ Lawrence was incredible. He matched our vibe perfectly (so well that a bunch of our guests invited him out after the wedding). He checked in with us before the reception began just to make sure he had everything just the way we liked it, he was flexible with our timeline when other things came up throughout the night, and he hit all of our must plays! The planning phase with DJ connection is interesting - the calls left us a little weary, but everything came together so perfectly. Leading up to your event, you get an initial phone call with one of their DJs from the corporate office (not your wedding DJ specifically), which is pretty thorough in getting your likes, dislikes, special requests, timeline, etc. They offer suggestions when you aren't sure and ask clarifying questions as needed, and you can tell they know what to expect from a well-run wedding. Then you get another final call with a different corporate DJ (still not your DJ), just to review what you submitted last and make any final changes. Then you "lock in" which sounds like a hard "can't change anything now," but they were still pretty receptive and flexible to the little things we wanted to adjust! You don't meet your DJ until the day-of, but again, it seemed like he was well-informed and knew everything ahead of time! Overall, we LOVED our experience with DJ connection!!

hat so ever. My wedding ended up ending 4 hours early because he didn’t vibe with the guest what so ever. It literally started a fight between me and my now ex husband because the DJ wouldn’t listen. It made the whole wedding a disaster. Having them there was a waste of money for sure:/ they made it alot more stressful then it should have been!

DJ and he did a great job picking songs that kept everyone on the dance floor. He was very professional and made a point to introduce himself to us shortly after the ceremony and even brought us some water which was so kind and thoughtful.

Jade was also very flexible during the wedding day as he had to make some adjustments due to weather. He went with the flow and made the night absolutely amazing. We read reviews about other couples having trouble with not getting to talk to their assigned DJ until, in some cases, the day of the wedding. This proved to be a challenge for us as well, and despite DJ Connections process for trying to pair you with a DJ that fits with your expectations, the Production Department at DJ Connection fell short of this goal. We had DJ Justus, who did a fine job at our wedding but we felt as though he simply played songs off a playlist and didn't really do much else beyond equipment set up & tear down, and the standard introductions throughout the night. There was no mixing of music, and songs were simply queued up one and then another like I could do myself using Spotify. He was polite and professional but far more low-key than we were expecting based on our communications with the production department. That didn't ruin our experience on our wedding with the DJ though, and I was glad to have DJ Justus. It would have been nice to have been able to speak to him sooner than the week of the wedding, but I understand that's just how this company operates (unfortunately). Where my disappointment really lies is with the Production Department; arguably the most important part of the DJ Connection process. We had originally submitted song requests through their (extremely limiting) online portal and were assured that we could submit changes to the requests, which we did. After not seeing the changes within the portal from our side, we called and confirmed multiple times with various members of the production department, including the manager of the department that our changes had been made. Boy, was it disappointing when on our wedding day, we discovered that they were using only the original song requests. We know this for a fact because songs that we specifically requested to be removed were being played and all new songs were not played to our knowledge. Also disappointing was when the production department manager, on a call with my wife and I spoiled a surprise that my wife had been planning which required the participation of the DJ. When he realized what we had done, he laughed, and then apologized. It was unprofessional and we were disappointed that due to the structure of this company, he wasn't informed that this part of the day was supposed to be a surprise. I can't imagine we were the first couple to try to have a surprise involving music. It astounds me that this company doesn't have a good process or some way of keeping surprises a surprise. We still had a wonderful wedding, and DJ Justus did a good job, but if I were to do it all over again, I 100% would spend the extra money needed to hire an independent DJ who is in control of the whole process and that we can talk directly with. I would not recommend DJ Connection at all due to our experience with the Production Department. To their credit, after submitting a post-event survey, the production department manager called me with the desire to make things right. When it mattered though, they fell short and the wedding only happens once.

h your DJ. You work with another staff member to talk through DJ packages, as well as for a finalizing call prior to your date. While you won't know the specific DJ at this point, you do get to give detail on the energy level you're looking for, etc. They also have a portal to choose songs for must plays, do not play, as well as special moments like your processional, first dances, etc. If the song you want isn't available, they'll purchase it for you if it is available elsewhere. They also can upload a song for you if you want to make a custom mix, etc. (We did this for our Father/Daughter Dance.) We met our DJ (Elijah) on the day of and he stopped over to introduce himself. He was super friendly and we were constantly chuckling at him getting into the music at his DJ stand. At a few points, he even came out onto the dance floor and interacted with our guests (particularly our little niece Ellie, who did the dougie with him.) Elijah was also great because he read the room well and adjusted accordingly. He played all of our must-plays, but when he noticed the Swifties getting into it, he played another Taylor Swift song, as well. He made similar adjustments throughout the night. In general, he was fun to be around and helped make our day great!

ended up being fantastic! Positives: - there's a portal that you can use to select a large portion of the music - DJ Jade was excellent!!!!! He played and brought the vibe that we were hoping for! We got a lot of compliments on the music. He also came and introduced himself to us both when he arrived. Would 100% work with him again! Negative: - You are not be able to speak one word to your DJ before the event and you will not know anything about your DJ before your event. We were only given his name a week before the wedding. We ended up being lucky and getting a great DJ, but I have heard several horror stories. While I would recommend DJ Jade, I would recommend spending a little more to go with a DJ company where you have a bit more of a connection with the DJ before the day of the event.

o add songs was very user-friendly. Our DJ was DJ David, he was wonderful. He arrived early to the ceremony and made sure to check-in with all the appropriate people. We had to move our cocktail hour inside and he was super flexible with playing music inside on a portable speaker so he didn't need to move his equipment. The mic cut out a few times during the ceremony but that was because it was super windy. DJ Connection has lapel mics for officiants which most prefer instead of the hand-held. David caught on really quickly to the vibe of music we were going for and checked-in with us throughout the entire night.

very last song. He read the room extremely well and knew exactly what music to play. We received SO many compliments. You get so much for the price! The only downside is that you don’t know who your DJ will be until the day of. Still, we found that was worth it and it totally paid off.

jackpot with him! I did not feel very supported in the time leading up to the wedding and would have liked to have a more personal experience if I could do it all over again. I thought the DJ would help me make my reception timeline, make more song suggestions, and make sure that my timing seemed reasonable. Instead I had to make my timeline on my own by researching timelines and then thankfully had a very supportive venue coordinator that also validated my timeline was appropriate. I understand that to keep costs low you need to work efficiently but I didn’t realize it would be that impersonal. Overall, extremely happy with Jovet and if you can get him I would definitely recommend this company!
