DJ Connection

Our DJ was Khalen- he was fantastic! He played our music for wedding, processional and recessional and started immediately into our appetizer hour music. He stayed on top of our introduction, played our choice for cake cutting, first dance etc... was wonderful experience.

DJ connection was wonderful and fun to work with. The were very responsive with any questions we had leading up to the big day. On our wedding day, they were very accommodating to any requests that we had, met with us to let us know when certain things were getting ready to happen. Very happy with our experience.

These guys rock!! They were perfect for our ceremony and also ensured the schedule ran smoothly. Special shout out to our DJ, Ben!! He absolutely crushed it and quickly adapted to any changes and requests we had. Highly recommend.

Our DJ at the wedding was great and followed the song suggestions! Communication leading up to the day was sparse, we didn't know the name of the DJ until the day off.

Our DJ Austin was phenomenal!!! He made sure that everything went smoothly and how we wanted. He also let us surprise each other the day of with a special song request.

Our DJ was connected to us DJ Connections, which we booked in August 2024. There was some communication issues for awhile as we got their Package 3 option, but after some tough conversations, I can say we had constant communication after that. The production team was able to get me to talk to DJ Ty, and I had a great vibe when we spoke 30 days prior then the week prior of the wedding. The production team was able to get me their website, able to intergrade the playlist I sent them with song recommendations, and combine theirs with mine. My guests absolutely loved DJ Ty and so did my wife! He was on time, made sure sound tests were done properly with our officiant, and played the music we had requested. If there were questions or recommendations, he would come to me or my wife and ask us if we can do this action or start the next action with queues. Our grand entrance was well received when got the whole room hyped up with and set the tone for the night on the dance floor. He even let our guests have some karaoke. We truly appreciated him more than he knows and we want to thank DJ Connections for linking us up with him!

Easy to book, choose my songs and awesome execution of the day my DJ was great!

Planning my timeline for music and requests was super easy and fun. The DJ did show up and had everything set up on time. I’m not sure if the DJ we had was new, but she came from Oklahoma and didn’t follow the timeline my planner and I created. My planner did ask her to go ahead and open up the dance floor while we did last minute photos and worry about the anniversary dance or shoe game for later. I had to ask her to do the anniversary dance, shoe game, announce cake, etc because people were leaving. We ended up not having a group(s) photos because of all of this as well so I was really bummed about that and still am bummed. My officiant didn’t have a mic on which I was told it was because the DJ thought it wouldn't reach. I filled out a survey for them and the manager reached out to me. He apologized for the issues we had and that 'they dropped the ball' that the officiant should have had a mic on and that she didn’t checked in with me or the planner for the rest of the events for the evening. I personally felt like it was a waste of money for someone to literally play music and that’s about it.

My now husband and I got married earlier this month and loved having DJ Connection as our DJ. We were very nervous about the vibe of our reception because we had a wide age range, but Cheyenne did a great job of finding a balance based on our song selections. Everyone at DJ Connection was very friendly, energetic, helpful, and knowledgeable. Our dance floor was full all night, which was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend!!

DJ Austin in KC was the best! He kept the party going and was incredibly doting and helpful to me and my groom. He is so fun and down to earth. DJ Connection was incredibly easy to work with and tailored their services to our dream. I will be recommending their services and expertise to everyone I know for all occasions!

We met the DJ Connection company at a bridal show and were offered a discount if we booked within the week. From our initial discussion, we thought this would be a great fit at a great price, so we scheduled a phone call to discuss further details. During the call, I was a bit surprised that I didn’t talk with the initial person I met at the bridal show, and from the conversation, it didn’t seem like I’d meet my DJ prior to the wedding day but a “phone call could be set-up during the week before the wedding.” This might be ok for some couples, but I’d personally like to know exactly who I’m working with. The phone call overall went well until the end when the contract and payment were discussed. I asked if I could touch base with my fiancé prior to officially signing anything, and this is where I got questions about why I was hesitating and if I had any questions. I felt pressured and asked twice more to specifically clarify “why I needed to touch base” and “because I want to since my fiancé was not present during the call” didn’t seem like a good enough reason. I didn’t like how this made me feel; we are choosing to go with another company.

DJ Connections is very affordable but a clear example of "you get what you pay for". Our DJ showed up with the wrong setlist, relied entirely on our wedding coordinator for timing, replayed all our requested dinner songs, waited way too long to start speeches (despite our wedding coordinator telling him exactly when to do speeches), and then didn't play a lot of our requested reception songs. You don't know who your DJ is until two days before and honestly, I think it makes for a worse experience for everyone.

DJ Austin: DJ Austin was phenomenal at our wedding. He was really easy to work with and very professional, while making it light and fun at the same time. He did a great job of using the songs we wanted to play and mixing them in with others to create a dancing crowd that loved every second of being on the dancefloor. Thank you DJ Austin! DJ Connection: DJ Connection had a good office staff to work with in the week of and their portal facilitated a plan to work out well. We are very happy with the value we got for the money spent. If their other DJs are like DJ Austin then they will continue to succeed!

They were great with helping me and my husband plan our wedding! Our DJ was pretty new it seemed, and talked a bit more than we'd have preferred throughout the evening. But we still had fun, and he made the transition between ceremony and reception as quickly as possible! He was also very flexible with any last minute changes in the schedule of the day! If you book with them, just make sure to be clear in what you're looking for in a DJ specifically. Love the booking process with their production and coordinating teams. Their portal is great in planning songs as well!

Austin was the absolute best! He kept the dance floor bumping and was SUPER accommodating to the Bride + Groom. Would for sure book again!

Originally, we were just planning on making a playlist and keeping things low-key. The wedding was going to be small, why spend the extra money on a DJ when it wasn’t a priority for us? Looking back, I am SO glad that we went with one. DJ Connection makes the process super easy and the pricing is great. On your initial booking call, they go through everything with you. Date, venue, what you do or don’t from a DJ, and the energy they have for this is amazing. You are given access to a portal where you can add all of the songs you want, what you want them for, when you want them played, and even at what mark you want the song to begin at. They have a ton of music within their portal, but my favorite was that I could connect my Spotify account and drag and drop any version of any song that I wanted. The second meeting happens about a month out from your wedding date. This is when they really finalize all of the details and make sure nothing has changed during your planning that they should be aware of. The only downside to DJ Connection is that you do not get to meet your DJ until the day of the wedding. For me, that wasn’t a huge deal at all. My husband would have preferred to have known and met with the DJ ahead of time, so it is all just a matter of preference. The DJ we were assigned was Ty. He did great. Ty kept the night on schedule and had no issue changing the music genre around when I decided I wanted more pop music rather than country like I had put down for our reception. He took requests, kept the crowd engaged, and just had all around fun energy. Definitely recommend.

I enjoyed my interactions with DJ Connections and had really high hopes prior to my event. The coordination was going well and I loved the portal to choose songs. The ceramony went off without a hitch and our DJ did great with that aspect of things. But when it came time to my now husband and I's first dance, we were later told that underneath our first dance song, Danger Zone from Top Gun was playing. Many of our friends and family told us afterward that they could hear it playing through the speakers under our song. Luckily, my husband and I didn't hear it but that special moment could've been easily ruined and definitely is looked at differently by our friends and family who could hear the underneath song playing. Our DJ also "forgot" to do our bouquet toss and our secret last dance. If my husband had not reminded him about the last dance, we would not have been able to have that special moment and could have never gotten it back. My husband and I chatted after the wedding and discussed how we really didn't hear any of the songs we had put as "Must Plays", we also had people go up and request songs and were told "we don't have that", when at times, he was just playing from spotify and the song being requested, was very much on spotify. We decided to call DJ connections, not to complain, but to express our frustrations and hope that our DJ we had could learn from these mistakes for a future couple. The KC manager did some investigating and we found out that not only did he only play 4 of our 36 requested Must Plays, he also played a song off of our Do Not Play. The other issues were discussed as well and to be honest, my husband and I were not looking for financial compensation from this endeavour, but the KC manager offered a repayment of $250 but we had to "sign something" to get things moving. He sent us over the document, and once we opened it and read it, we found out it was an NDA. If we signed it, we would not have been able to speak about our experience or DJ Connections in any capacity and failure to adhere could result in legal action. This didn't sit right with us and we called the manager back for an explanation. He stated this was standard for all refunds, but I think where we felt slighted was that it was not presented to us as an NDA before it was sent over. Had that fact been presented to us, I maybe would've felt differently. We asked what would happen if we didn't sign it and if we would still get that $250 back. He originally told us yes, but then when he checked with his legal team, found out that without the NDA, they could only refund us $100. Which again, is fine because we weren't even wanting compensation to begin with. The whole thing felt really not great and made us feel like if we had signed the NDA, we would never be able to talk about our literal wedding day freely. I would use caution when it comes to using DJ connections, because while everyone and everything on the front end prior to our event was fantastic, everything from our event and after, was less than stellar. I can definitely look past some things, but having our first dance almost ruined and our guests experience being hindered made it to where I don't feel comfortable giving the full green light for other couples.

Our DJ’s name was Daniel (which was easy to remember since that was also one of the best man’s name and the name of the groom’s brother). Daniel was super fun and the perfect energy for the night! He played the songs we requested from our list and was super flexible when we realized we didn’t want to do the bouquet toss. Would definitely recommend this company for any easy and affordable DJ services.

Overall our DJ did a good job and played exactly what we asked for. I think our only complaint would be we did not get to talk to our DJ 2 weeks prior to the wedding like we were initially told. Instead he was trying to call us the day before the wedding to go over the details and when we tried calling him back we could never get ahold of him. We did not get to speak to him until 2 hours before the wedding and he had several questions about details we had already gone over with the DJ planners we had talked at the company. It was a bit stressful and last minute.

If you’re looking for a wedding Dj company, I definitely recommend Dj connection. We hired them for our daughter’s wedding, which was such a GREAT time. I bet they would even be great for a work event! They assigned us Dj Austin and he was fantastic. He played all the requests and then some. He was a great ‘hype man’! There was never a dull moment. Highly recommend. 👍🏼

I cannot sing enough praises. I encouraged my sister to use DJ Connection, as I didn’t know about them in time for my own wedding. WOW! DJ Austin went above and beyond to make sure everyone, not just the bride and groom, had the time of their lives. 100/10 you won’t regret booking.

The whole planning process for our wedding was flawless with this company. We had a few changes leading up to the big day and they were very accommodating. Knowing that the specific DJ doesn’t get assigned till closer to the big day wasn’t even that big of a deal to me because the whole website and planning portal made it so easy to leave notes and special ques for my DJ. He hit every mark he needed to and despite the cold night we had, he kept the party going all night. I’d highly recommended any of the staff from this company as they are on top of it with the whole process leading up to the big day!

I am beyond disappointed in DJ Connection. We were charged an extra 250.00 to add second ‘system’ because the ceremony and reception were over 100 yards apart. Which would have been fine, but the system was terrible and the DJ even told us it was the ‘worst one they had’. He was a FULL minute late with the Bridal entrance music waiting on it to ‘restart’ after the wedding party song. People stood up waiting awkwardly… then the system cut in and out the entire ceremony so no one but the front row heard the vows or the officiant. The DJ played music from artists on our do not play list and when I asked him about it, he told me he just didn’t know that Bruno Mars sang ‘Uptown Funk’. What kind of DJ doesn’t know that? We were very clear on the vibe and artists we liked and did not. Further the music was either too quiet or too loud all night. I blame DJ Connection for not living up to what they promised us. We did not meet the DJ ahead of time and the clearly sent an inexperienced young man who had no idea of the music we requested . He also had to be told to make every single announcement and then after telling the crowd he would dismiss each table to go eat dinner he didn’t dismiss all the tables. My daughter spent so much time curating her perfect music and this company ruined that huge part of the experience.

The price is unbeatable but we weren’t the happiest with DJ connection. During our first meetings, we were promised some things that were not followed through on. Most importantly, we were told we would get to meet our DJ before the wedding, but we were later told that is not their policy. They assigned our DJ the morning of our wedding… With minimal briefing… Regardless of our many calls with their office. We got lucky that they sent out a pretty good DJ, he did a great job considering that he was tossed our wedding carelessly last minute. He pulled us aside literally moments before we walked down the aisle to confirm many details which he should’ve been briefed on by his company. Again, very grateful for our DJ himself who did his best considering what he was given. If you are considering DJ connection, really think about the type of experience that you want at your wedding and if you are willing to take the gamble. I would have preferred the DJ be briefed on what was going on so he did not have to interrupt us multiple times throughout the evening.

We had the absolute best experience from start to finish with DJ connection. They offered great pricing and the staff was amazing from the very first phone call. The hold music is legitimately entertaining.. seriously I loved it! We were able to make out own playlist from start to finish. Our DJ was the absolute best. We ended up running ahead of schedule and he was so accommodating. Highly recommend!

From planning my playlist to getting the party started, DJ Connection was perfect through it all. They really made the party amazing from beginning to end and played every song that we requested. I highly recommend DJ Connection if you are looking for a non-stop party all night!

Our day of DJ was awesome! Super attentive to our needs, flexible when the timeline changed, and played our picked songs in a way that kept people on the dance floor all night. The initial booking rep proactively offered us discounts which got us a DJ at an incredible price! The planning process was a bit confusing, as we were contacted by multiple different people over the course of the year or so of planning. Their online timeline and playlist tools are a bit clunky and outdated, too. But the day of experience was worth the inconvenience!

Dj connections really made my wedding the best. Everybody was up on their feet dancing and there wasn’t ever a dull moment. He taught dances to songs and help everything run very smoothly. I HIGHLY recommend this DJ

We had Brandon and he was amazing! He brought the party to the wedding and everyone was raving about the song selection and the vibes! I was worried about my ceremony songs and he put me right at ease and came super prepared for answering any questions I had. He was totally professional, fun, and lively. We had the best dance party at our wedding !

We had a great DJ who really made our night go by so smoothly. The entire thing was so easy and painless. We really enjoyed his willingness to play last minute requests and he was so good about wanting to accommodate our desires for the wedding day and keeping us on the timeline.
